As I mentioned in the previous thread, I play a lot of tower defence games. But there is one that I really miss from my S60 era, called Tower Trap.
I have come to understand that there is no Android port of this game, but maybe you can tell me which existing Android game is most like it? I love the simple graphics and the pulse quake towers!
Thanks.
There always has been prior mentions that GLWG sorta worked with Xperia PLAY's d-pad. This update makes it official though! Shows up in the Game Launcher and everything!

CURRENT VERSION: 1.1.1
What's in this version:
1. Point release with additional support for Xperia PLAY devices.
2. Changed description text for Standard Campaign
3. Added support for Vizio tablets and all devices with Marvell chipsets.
Xperia PLAY's game support just looks more and more awesome by the moment.
The game is a direct rip off of advance wars for GBA
if you never played it I suggest checking it out.
Tho I'm really not mad because I like both versions / both spins on it.
Xperia Play optimized? Sorry but this "optimization" is a total joke...
You still have to use touchscreen to move your units, camera moves horribly when pressing dpad (left arrow to move camera to the bottom right?? WTF?!). You can just zoom in and out with triangle and square and can rotate the camera with the triggers...
Surely "great work" in optimizing this game -.-
Sent from my R800i using xda premium
a lil bit old news, this is optimized already even in 1.1 version, romcio is right this is much playable if you will use touchscreen..
d-pad mapping is just sick as hell
not worth the "Xperia PLAY Optimized" tag
great game though

The [console name] Wars strategy series has been long-running in Japan, though our first taste came on the GBA. In fact, the developer (Nintendo's own Intelligent Systems) is also responsible for the very similar Fire Emblem turn-based strategy RPG series and everything from Final Fantasy Tactics to Front Mission is based on those. They both started in the 8-bit Nintendo Entertainment System/Nintendo Famicom days! Anyway, my point is that nearly any turn based strategy game is inspired by the Wars series and nearly any SRPG is inspired from the Fire Emblem series.
Even when they are late to the party, like they were when they made their Real-Time Strategy games Pikmin and Pikmin 2, there were others blatantly "inspired" by them, like Code Masters' Overlord and Overlord II.

I would say those games you mention are similar to advance wars
with advance wars you start with some money and build a unit to attack the other team
you have fog of war usually to make the game scary when playing with your mates on a train ride
1 person would get the device. make a new unit and move it
then pass it to their mate and they would do the same thing
till eventually you would run up on them and have a full on war
it was a crazy game
and this great little war is basicly using the whole same template with fog of war and money and units, even the grid system.
so ya i would say advance war is a pioneer in that respect
being able to play with ya mates on a train passing the device back and forth
Hi all!
I recently found a new LBG game called streetbit on the Android Market!
