Hello!
I recently installed from the Market the Super Email application on my phone.
Out of pure curiosity, I opened the apk on my computer.
Oddly, I found a folder in there named "com".
Inside it there were other folders, paypal/android/utils/data
and inside the data folder 2 .bin files, locale.bin and data.bin.
So, what is this all about? I know a little to nothing about programming,
but since there is not even a Paypal donation option within the application,
what are those folders and files stand for anyway?
Could that be indication of malware?

Since it's a free application, I am posting the apk here,
if someone want to look into it a bit further.
UPDATE: Probably a false alarm, I contacted the developer and told me that in the beginning they planned to seel it through Paypal, but then decided to go free and they forgot the paypal sdk inside the app.

Well...that got me baffled too... as there was the "donate with paypal" line in one of the bin file.... Thanks for the update and the info... hopefully he corrects the flaw in his next revision... BTW it is rated 4.7 (20 ratings)

It is indeed a good application for sending mails with attachment from a fake address. Really cool for some innocent pranks to your friends! :-D

My name is Kevin, or aka DarkOnion. Many of you guys in the general Android community probably won't know me, but for those in the Droid X and Droid 2 community related the name DarkOnion to the scripts used to root the Droid 2 on Froyo and then the Droid X when 2.2 was made available. Anyways, that is not why I am here today. I just wanted to share an experiment that I am planning to start in the very near future.
It is kind of a social experiment of sorts. What I would like to do is send an Andy the Android plushy around and have people take pics of him doing cool things. Really anything you think would be cool. Trying to get the ball rolling. I got a website going, and I'll be setting up a blog in the near future to keep track of Andy's movements.

Looks like fun, downloaded, hope this takes off and doesn't end up like ChatRoulette where it get's ruined by guys with their old fella's out. Might be worth putting in a block/report feature (if it doesn't already have it)

I can't understand how to read other people messages. If I push read I see my sent message
That's essentially a conversation window, if the person you sent a message to replies you will see it in that window. If there's no reply you will only see your sent message.

You might want to have a look ! It would be easiest to quote what i wrote in its description:
What if the only thing you need actually be reminded of is not a specified event itself, but simply the fact that it exists?
Tap on widget to raise flag. It will remind you by vibrations, sound and notification (all of those customizable) that you've risen it. Then you'll be able to easily connect it with the reason why you did it. Simple?

I hope not to have the wrong section, but frankly I consider this more of a trick that programming something.
Let me explain my problem.
I tried in every way to the root to my phone, but to no avail.
Basically I wanted to run the root simply to uninstall Whatsapp (which is a native application and it does not work because it was too dated).
Once you have uninstalled that version, I would have installed a new one.
Being that I can not update the version that is on, I wanted to ask if there was a way to change, starting from the installation file name
the app. The idea is to show the system with a different app and then install two WhatsApp that difference in name only and folders process.
A minimum of programming experience I have it even if not directly in Android environment
I hope I was clear enough.
Try to have different signatures in whatsapp.

I have this for youtube 2 youtube installed at the same time.

Well, first and foremost this is a self-cooked guide mainly aimed for devices with little storage and/or anyone interested for the sake of it.
A couple months ago I sent an email to WhatsApp customer support complaining about the huge size of the WhatsApp/Databases folder, and why the FLICK there was a remote need for 7 friggin' copies of the chat databases.

After dodgeing the automatic answering bot, I re-sent my question (how to prevent WhatsApp from keeping the last 7 days of database backups) over a request number email address I was submitted.

0K fellows, this is as easy as it gets. Besides slimming down your WhatsApp/Media folders as you may wish, this is my trick to prevent WhatsApp from using a fμckload of storage on its WhatsApp/Databases folder:
Delete the WhatsApp/Databases folder. :good:
Now, create a file named Databases in the WhatsApp folder. This prevents WhatsApp from being able to re-create such folder again.
See the attached thumbnail.
My WhatsApp folder is now very slim, and I miss nothing. :fingers-crossed:
