[APP][2.1+]Flag reminder - tap to remember! - Android Apps and Games

Hello!
I just posted my new application on the market.
You might want to have a look ! It would be easiest to quote what i wrote in its description:
What if the only thing you need actually be reminded of is not a specified event itself, but simply the fact that it exists?
Tap on widget to raise flag. It will remind you by vibrations, sound and notification (all of those customizable) that you've risen it. Then you'll be able to easily connect it with the reason why you did it. Simple?
This will remind you with specified (for all flags separate) interval or only once. You can also set a ringtone, vibration pattern and notification text for each of flags. Doesn't use resources, permission-free (only vibrations),
ads free.

All the best!

Nice one! That's what i've been looking for. Really great stuff. I recommend it for everyone who hate to set up some tasks in callendar... the author is right - all i need is just to REMEMBER that i wanted to do sth.
Thanks!

Glad you enjoy it. I couldn't find it on the market so i wrote it myself.

I think that's the best way to write a good app. Cheers

Hm i think the description may seem unclear... has anyone problems with understanding what this applications does? Thanks for help!

As I have said, this is my first app so please don't give bad review on Play, let me know what you found wrong and I will fix.
Thanks again for looking and I hope some of you find it really useful. I know I do!

This is a 2013 thread and the app isn't even in the play store anymore
Is that app still working? I need to find something similar to create a project on home renovating. If you guys can suggest me any ideas, I will be very thankful for that. I'd like to see my old Persian rugs from DorisLeslieBlau gallery in a new design of my living room. That is why I want to find an app or a website where I can use real things or their prototypes to understand clearly how they will look in a real life.

[APP][Foursquare]CheckInReminder -- Benefit you and me

Hi All:
Try CheckinReminder at google play.
checkin-reminder.net/
Inspired by some friends' complaint about always forgetting to check in, we came up with this neat app to remind foursquare users to check in at any place they visit. To serve this need, we design a smart algorithm to detect when the user stays in a place using smartphone sensors. Our algorithm can intelligently turn on/off GPS and other sensors to maximize user's battery life. We believe many Foursquare users will benefit from our app, especially those who are fighting for mayorships. To refine our algorithm and make our app better serve users' need, we collect some anonymized location information for research use.
How to use:
1. Link CheckinReminder with your Foursquare account. It will run in the background afterwards.
2. If you stayed at a place, and when you are leaving, a notification will pop up. Click the notification to check in the recommended place immediately, or click the 'Search Around' button if you prefer a different place.
3. You can choose the type of alarm in the app.
Hello, can you please provide a link to the app? Even if you say its on google play its always good to provide a link, specially for new apps since they dont always show up when searched for.
Thanks.
Link provided thank you
Thank you for reminding, as I'm a new user here, I would not be albe to add external link in my post.

What to use to do complex UI-design for Android?

Hello! This post goes into General since I haven't gotten up to the post count necessary for the app-development forums.
This post has also been posted on Reddit , but I was suggested to go here instead.
New to developing in Android here. I'm trying to work out best practices and discuss design-principles to make the UI shown in the image here:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_share": "Share",

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
It is an infotainment UI possibly for a car where you have several elements with diffrent functionatlity.
The navigation part should be updated continously, the mediapart should be able to scroll horizontally through albums with animation etc.
There are some things I would like the UI to handle:
* I would really like this UI to be dynamicly sized depending on Screensize. (But if it is not possible I would like to discuss it)
* I want to seperate code for each element.
Last I dabbled with Android it was through "Fragments". I get the general sense that Fragments have been faced out
but I cant get a clear picture of what it got replaced with.
I guess what I would humbly like to have a discussion about is , how the wonderful Android Developers of XDA
would go about designing something like this?
Thank you for your time!

[APP][4.0.3+] VoiceFlick - use your voice to get funny animations

Hi,
I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I want to share some website & Android app I made.
Last year I thought about how it would be fun to just speak to my laptop/phone and get animations in return.
When I looked for such a website, I couldn't find it, so I made it myself:
voiceflick.com
I also made it into an Android app:
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.voiceflick.voiceflick
My nephews and nieces love it , I hope other people will also enjoy my website & app.
I made it just for fun, it has no ads, or anything else that will bring me profit.
The website only works on Google chrome, because it uses Chrome's built in speech recognition.
This was the first time I ever made an Android app, so there might be some bugs
If something doesn't work, please let me know, and I will look into fixing it
All feedback is welcome.
I hope you will have fun with it

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",

}
More info about the app:
To save battery, VoiceFlick only records while you hold the mic-button.
All returned animations are appropriate for all ages.
The animations are rated G: General Audiences – all ages admitted.
VoiceFlick uses Google App for speech recognition.
So if something doesn't work, please check if Google App is installed and working:
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox
The voice records are not send to VoiceFlick, it is processed by Google App, (Google App can be configured to use offline speech recognition).
