Hi all.
Mods, please move this thread to a more appropriate place if possible.
My name is Kevin, or aka DarkOnion. Many of you guys in the general Android community probably won't know me, but for those in the Droid X and Droid 2 community related the name DarkOnion to the scripts used to root the Droid 2 on Froyo and then the Droid X when 2.2 was made available. Anyways, that is not why I am here today. I just wanted to share an experiment that I am planning to start in the very near future.
It is kind of a social experiment of sorts. What I would like to do is send an Andy the Android plushy around and have people take pics of him doing cool things. Really anything you think would be cool. Trying to get the ball rolling. I got a website going, and I'll be setting up a blog in the near future to keep track of Andy's movements.
Please check out my blog and webpage for more info about how I want to do this. It'll be a lot of fun.

Hey there,
I'm a Windows Mobile developer, currently working on Touch The Music (a music game similar to Guitar Hero) and a Homescreen Replacement.
I can handle the programming and I've been doing so for the past few months, but I recently lost my graphics artist and honestly I'm no good at it.
So if anyone is interested in doing some graphics for games and applications running on Windows Mobile, answer here or send me a PM
This is what you'll have to improve:

Still looking for graphics designers out there.
I'm online a fair bit of the day, on holidays now so I'll work more than usual.
I'm in Portugal (London Time - GMT) but that timezone is not a requirement on the artist's part.
I can communicate over PM here, gtalk/gmail or msn.
i mite be some help to you !! please pm me your needs !!
Added screenshots of both projects!
Anyone interested in helping should be ready to provide some mockups of either project or some parts of it
I've got some messages now but no mockups yet, obviously.
I suggest figuring out which section you like and posting here: http://conceptart.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=12
Amazing graphics site.

Ahah not nearly interesting enough for them. They're looking for career starts, not hobbies
Thanks for the suggestion, though!
I've got some people interested, but only one submission yet.
Please, if you can lend a hand, don't think twice, this is the time of year I can work the most!
i am interested and have sent you a PM with all of the information
I've been trying to think of a decent idea for an Android app that would actually help people for a while now, and finally thought of something worthwhile a week ago. I learned the Android SDK while making this, but still tried to make it as polished as possible.
FlickHopper is the outcome. It's an app for people that go to movie theaters and watch multiple movies in a row. You select your theater, check which movies you want to see, and a "timeline" schedule is created so you can easily see which times will work best for you.
Please download from the Market and post your critiques/suggestions here!

Provide a link for people to download the .apk that doesn't require the Market. Not everyone has access to it all the time. Just a thought.
One interesting alternative use for this could be for parents looking to find the best time to see two movies at the same time, or near two it. For example, Mom & Dad want to see Chronicle but pre-teen kids want to see Journey. This app would let you easily see when the best time it would be so that the parents could see one movie and the kids another at the same time.

Good evening everybody.
We from kitogoru-apps specialise on app development in the mobile entertainment sector. Our newest App is called "Fingerprint Coolness Scanner".
It´s an app that let´s you scan your thumb and assigns a coolness-score to you. Depending...well depending on how cool you are obviously .
You can then compare your score to famous persons and see who matches your coolness score.
Of course this applications should not be taken way too serious, foremost it is meant to be entertaining and funny.
Right now it is available for Android users and can be found using the following link:

Hopefully some of you enjoy our new application.
If you have any questions, suggestions or corrections, do not hesitate to post a reply
We have attached some screenshots for a better viewing experience.

Hey sorry for the delayed reply.
We are currently working on an ios release and we will also release our other apps on ios as well.
New apps will then be available on both systems upon release in the near future.
Stay tuned!
If anyone else wants to try out our app and maybe give us some feedback that would be highly appreciated !
Thanks and have a nice weekend folks
So we finally made it to 10 posts and have updated the original post with more graphics and an external link to the application.
We hope you like it and again, feedback is very welcome.
Hello, I want to show you this amazing App we have been developing on the last month.
It’s going to receive updates (which are already planned) in the next few weeks.

This is a social voting app where our users can create polls (making them publico or private) and invite their friends in a easy way.
Haven’t you spent literally hours discussing with your friends via whatsapp something , like where to go for lunch, which movie to see or in which nightclub go to party?
Good, but is this App really useful?
Of course, to start you can use it to do private polls with your friends to decide any kind of thing in just a few steps.
You can explore trending topics and the opinión of the people around you, or simply use it to do some market research.
The power of voting is in your hands

Hello! This post goes into General since I haven't gotten up to the post count necessary for the app-development forums.
This post has also been posted on Reddit , but I was suggested to go here instead.
New to developing in Android here. I'm trying to work out best practices and discuss design-principles to make the UI shown in the image here:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_share": "Share",

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
It is an infotainment UI possibly for a car where you have several elements with diffrent functionatlity.
The navigation part should be updated continously, the mediapart should be able to scroll horizontally through albums with animation etc.
There are some things I would like the UI to handle:
* I would really like this UI to be dynamicly sized depending on Screensize. (But if it is not possible I would like to discuss it)
* I want to seperate code for each element.
Last I dabbled with Android it was through "Fragments". I get the general sense that Fragments have been faced out
but I cant get a clear picture of what it got replaced with.
I guess what I would humbly like to have a discussion about is , how the wonderful Android Developers of XDA
would go about designing something like this?
Thank you for your time!
