[Q] Game like Bob's Journey - Android Apps and Games

I searched through the forums looking to see if this was already asked, but I couldn't find anything.
I was wondering if anyone could recommend an Android game similar to Bob's Journey from the Sidekick line. Can anyone help me? I posted a Youtube link below to show the game in case you don't know what Bob's Journey is.
Thanks is advance!

Yeah, I can't fine it anywhere on the internet! I came here thinking it may have been hidden in one of the threads, but no. I can't believe no one here has hacked the Sharp SideKick to extarct that wonderful little addictive game out of it so we can play it on our other phones, or on our PC. We need Bob's Journey!

New game request for a WM device!

If anyone out there has a friend with an iphone should know about the "apps" and a game called Ragdoll. If you havent heard of the game, it is definatly worth checking out. It is physics based, and made by Backflip Studios. It involves shooting a ragdoll out of a cannon in order to hit a target using trajectory and velocity. Sound simple, but the levels get tricky and the game is very addicting. If there is any game like that for windows mobile i would love to know. If not, i would like to challenge a developer to create one! People, check it out and let me know what you think.
This game is awesome... I hope it comes out for WM
BUMP!!!
I too have a friend with a 'why'PHONE and he has this game. It's called Ragdoll Blaster and it's great. Someone has got to port this to Win Mobile.
Why is this in the About xda Forum. This has nothing to do with the Site.

[Q] Tower Defense or guide

I'm curious if anyone has run across a tower defense game with a R&D branching system built in... Meaning picking up techno from the waves and using that to create new towers or eventually creating combo towers... Most of the tower defense games I've found are seemingly generic and all lie within the same basic theme... Is there a game close to this idea or no?
On that note, if anyone knows where I can find a good how to guide for this or a tutorial to getting started, then I guess I can start trying to make this myself.

There are actually some guides out there on making apps. I wouldn't know which one to actually use. You cam find those guides if you google it. If you find a good one, don't hesitate to pm me the link as I would like to try and create a game myself.

[Q] Porting Death Rally To Android

I came across a game today that was an old favorite of mine. Called Death Rally, do some of you remember this game? Its playable on windows, and I think theres a port of it or a similar game for wm. Does anybody know of a game that similar for Android, Or even a remote possibility of someone porting a game like that for the android platform... probably a lot to ask I know!! Its just this game was epic back in its day and I would love to see this type of game on android, make for one really cool game. Maybe there's somebody here that can help me out?
They released Death Rally on market for free!
Though it's only available in Canada atm(LOL!?!?!)... The rest of the world get it in March....

[Q] Can any please give me some development advice?

Hey guys,
Im a huge fan of the tower defense genre, and have often thought it would be great to develop my own game.
I have zero programming experience though, so i was just wondering if anyone can please suggest a good place to start (reading/practicing). or if it would even be possible for me to teach myself to develop games.
some games i would take inspiration from...
Base Defense
Neon Defense
Fieldrunners
And other similar titles.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.
I'm trying to teach myself programming also and was told a good place to start was with Java. I have bought a couple Java programming for beginners books and have been going through the tutorials at the website below. They also have Android development tutorials.

[Q] Android game recommendation

Hi.
I'm looking for a game to play in the long term. No specific genre but strategy is nicer.
It has to be a game that I can let go of the phone at any moment, preferably with low battery consumption.
Previously I played Guardian Cross, wasn't very nice in the battery but I could let go of the phone with no problem, but now is ending so I need a new game.
Tried Rage of Bahamut but didn't like the presentation.
Anyone know anything like this?
The game is to play at work in dead times where at any moment I might have to let go of the phone.
Also I don't want to say MMO but something that I have progression and doesn't have any real ending. It's hard to explain.
Thanks in advance.

• project y (rts strategy)

• modern combat 5 (FPS)

Hi there Dante
I believe there is a dedicated thread on what you're asking for. Everything related to gaming and games itself can be found on this off-topic thread.

You're more likely to receive more answers there. It's also good to look through the off-topic section for such things before creating a thread on something that already exists.
-Inferno 1 & 2
-Monument Valley
-Nba Jam
-Offroad legends
-Real drift
-Prince of persia ( the last one)

Thanks for the suggestions.
Although maybe only Game Dev Story might fall under what i want (I already play minecraft), the project Y seems a very interesting full scale RTS that I didn't know about (I was looking for one for my tablet earlier). Many thanks

Hi. Thanks for the reply. While I was searching I didn't went to the offtopic section because I thought that a question about android apps wouldn't be asked there. But I see your point. The thread you recommended is games in general for everything so if I don't find something I like I will ask there. Thanks for the heads up
I recommend Plants vs Zombies 2.

I enjoyed 'Vega Conflict' a good bit. Pretty cool space RTS

Air hunter is a nice game. But it's more of an action title. It's hard to play on-off-on. I want it for playing at work in dead times.

Very nice game. It's very close to what I need. The battery consumption seem very low and syncs to Google play. But, alas, it has a major flaw. If I lock the screen it loses the connection and I have to restart the app. Since the major thing is that I'm able to let go of the phone at any moment it's almost what I want with that exception.
I'm going to update the first post with more info.
