[Q] Can any please give me some development advice? - Android Apps and Games

Hey guys,
Im a huge fan of the tower defense genre, and have often thought it would be great to develop my own game.
I have zero programming experience though, so i was just wondering if anyone can please suggest a good place to start (reading/practicing). or if it would even be possible for me to teach myself to develop games.
some games i would take inspiration from...
Base Defense
Neon Defense
Fieldrunners
And other similar titles.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.

I'm trying to teach myself programming also and was told a good place to start was with Java. I have bought a couple Java programming for beginners books and have been going through the tutorials at the website below. They also have Android development tutorials.

Any game or App developer need help from a experienced 3d Artist???

Hi everyone,
I'm a skilled 3D artist and animator. I would like to contribute in any way to our dear Android comunity, since i'm not so experienced with programing, the best way to contribute would be through art.
Here is a link with my portfolio (not so up to date...)

At the moment i'm not interessed in making money, i want to produce something really good. I see a lot of great (FREE) games, with nice concept but visually it could be better. I'm not in any way saying I'm the guy or that i'm better than anyone here, i know here are many talented people. I Just really want to get into this growing Android world, helping developers with something i can do.

[Q] Looking for the right place for my 6 year old to learn how to code???

Hi All,
My 6 year old nephew is super into the App world, gaming, and technology as a whole. (not just saying this but he is much more advanced then any other child his age that i have come across)
I would love to get him into a class or a platform which can teach him the basics of coding.
Obviously it needs to be geared toward children and preferable in a coding language which can be used to easily create Apps and games.
If anyone knows of anything good please let me know.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Best,
Mike

[GAME][2.2+]Pop Smoke : Remastered

Hey Developers. I have been a flash developer for years now, lately I have been experimenting with publishing to android. But I feel so limited in performance and features when compiling from flash. That's why I have started learning Java.
Right now it feels like climbing a mountain, does anyone have any great beginner resources for learning Java Android development, that you really felt worked for you. Would be great if it took into account my Flash ActionScript 3 experience. I will probably become a nuisance the coming time, but hopefully I will be able to help someone else at a later time
The game I have been working on is called Pop Smoke : Remastered and is a Strategy/Tower Defense game . I'm thinking about leaving it as is, fix bugs, and focus on a new project in Java (I've got a good idea ). Feedback is greatly appreciated, I'm not looking to earn any money here so I will post some free codes, if more people are interested just PM me for more.

[Q] Game Progamming

Hello i am a rookie programmer majoring in software engineering and i am currently studying in java. I want to work in the video game industry and from what i seen most of the top games made today used C++. This language i haven't used yet my question is if know java, python, and php but not C++ am i a goner in pursuing a career as a video game developer ? I graduate in April of 2015 any advise for me before i graduate.
Thank you
No you're not a goner, you can program games using Java as well. And remember its never too late to make a dream come true. So I'd suggest if you feel you need to know C++ then go ahead and learn it. Plenty of awesome guides and video tutorials out on the web.
Best of luck with your graduation
