[FX-MOD][SENSE] Reboot option in power menu 3-in-1 - Droid Incredible Themes and Apps

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=776495
Please Check this out, it works perfect for SkyRaider 3.1
it allows you to reboot, recovery, and bootloader right from the default power button. This is great.

Which did you use?

Installed on Virtuous ROM
Got a forced reboot after putting in my security code. Now I am back up and everything seems to be working ok. Did a normal reboot from the menu and it seems to be working
Will report back if any more issues.
Thanks for the find!!

Working perfectly on my stock deodex froyo rom.

Just installed this on Virtous 2.0 and it works. Been to lazy to update to the newer versions so I'm not sure it works with 2.1 or newer versions of this rom.

Seems nice, but there's no choice to power off my phone!

works great for me.

[PORT][32A][New Radio]OpenEclair v1.2.2 AOSP 2.1[25-Feb-2010]

This is a 32a port for the new radio of the OpenEclair-v1.2.2-CFSRHack ROM.
It's fast and stable for me.
I will make updates here for the new releases of the OpenEclair ROM as they come out.
I made this port because the port bcrook88 makes is for the 32A EB1 old radio.
This is for the new radio.
I take no credit for this work other than for posting updated kernel ports for the 32A new radio.
Credit goes to the OpenEclair team ctso, wesgarner, and benbuchacher.
Complete list of credits here.
I don't take credit for the port because it was made with arctu's MAGIC Port tool which is getting better and better.
This port is based on Cursor's 32A 0.6 kernel port for the new radio.
So what do I get credit for? Not much, other than for liking this ROM and trying to bring it to all of you who are using the new radio
DONATE!
If you like arctu's work and feel that he should continue maintaining it, donate to him: through the MAGIC Port page
If you think that the kernel DEVS should be appreciated more, donate to THEM: Cyanogen, OpenEclair Team, Cursordroid, Sanpei, Superatmel, PaY87, etc.
Now for some links.....
OpenEclair v1.2.2 DietEclair - AOSP 2.1r2 thread
You will need 2 files; (1) the ROM, (2) the 32a port.
(1) Download the current 32b / Dream OpenEclair-v1.2.2-CFSRHack ROM or OpenEclair-v1.2.2-CFSNoRHack ROM here
(2) Download the 32a port for NEW RADIO: EBI1_OpenEclair-v1.2.2-CFSRHack_32A_Port_New_Radio
Instructions:
The port is for the Magic 32a with the new radio.
I am not responsible if you brick your phone.
Follow the instructions and you should be fine.
You need new radio 6.35.10.18, SPL 1.76.2007 and recovery-RA-Magic32A-6.35-v1.5.2 to get this to load on your 32a Magic.
If you do not know how to update / change your radio, SPL and recovery don't proceed or go learn how here at Cursor's post.
1. Download the ROM from the OpenEclair link above.
2. Download the 32a new radio port from the Rapidshare links above.
3. Wipe data/factory reset
4. Wipe Dalvik-cache
5. Wipe SD:ext partition
6. Flash ROM.
7. Flash port.
8. Reboot.
Issues:
(1) No cam
(2) No video
(3) Screen lock issue (does not occur on normal/old home launcher when using screen lock pattern to unlock)
Click here for a full list of known issues.
(4) No BT
Live wallpapers are working
------------
Trying Now
Testing it out now but overall right now its very smooth i think the smoothest eclair rom for new radio, the nexus luancher is kinda of laggy but the other one works perfect! NIce Job!!
This ROM sounds better than 1.2.1 (used 1 hours ^_^), let's see afterwards.
Cannot seem to get bluetooth to turn on with this port. It's just stuck with "Turning on...".
Otherwise everything else seems to work wonderfully.
3D is a bit slow, but otherwise graphics are speedy.
Hi giant_rider,
I have a couple of questions:
Why have you used RHack version? Can I flash the port with the NoRHack?
Is openeclair .com safe? In the old post I read that it wasn't officially associated with them...
You are linking the old post (1.2.1), new one is here: /showthread.php?t=638835
(sorry but it seems I can't post full urls...)
Can't download... :/
unlock screen behaving very strange:
when my phone is in standby, and I press the menu button
->
just a dark (empty) screen is flashing up, but not the unlock screen.
when I press the menu button again, nothing happens.
But I am able to unlock the screen somehow by pressing the red key,
or sliding over the black screen.
It seems that this is just happening when I lock my phone by pressing the red key.
somebody else having this problem?

I am not sure about your RHack question. I think it is safe, but to be sure I will add the port for the NoRHack in my post above.

Under your phone settings -> Location & security, set a screen lock pattern.
Once I did this I don't seem to have any problems with the unlock screen.
I think the problem you're having is common to Eclair ROMs right now.

But now after disabling/enabling lock pattern, the problem is back with the pattern unlock

This ROM is working well on my Rogers Magic (and much faster than the CursorSense I was using.) The one issue I do have is no GPS.
I have use GPS selected in Settings and the GPS applications confirm that GPS is enabled however I am unable to find any satellites. I have tried various combinations of reboots with GPS enabled and disabled but no luck. Any ideas?
Live Wallpappers works fine?
Thanks

[ROM][Devs Only][You've been Warned] RoyalLiquid - 3/22/2011

RoyalLiquid - This is a Q&D port of our RoyalLiquid rom for the Mytouch4G.
Warning! We Are Not Responsible For Anything That Happens To Your Device. I don't own an Inspire, so I haven't been able to test/troubleshoot.
The Team That Brings You all Royal Roms:
Release Name: RoyalLiquid
Release Version: Pre-Alpha
Base Firmware: 2.2.1
Kernel Version: Stock Kernel
Recovery Required: 3.0.0.6
Wipe Required: Full wipe each flash (unless otherwise stated). This is how you should wipe:
Main Recovery Menu:
1. Wipe data / factory reset
2. wipe cache partition
Advanced Recovery Menu:
3. Wipe Dalvik Cache
Mounts and Storage Recovery Menu:
4. Format Boot
5. Format System
6 Format SDcard (optional but sometimes fixes issues - Be warned you will loose everything on your SDcard. Pictures, music, videos everything)
Special instructions: Give 2 minutes+ to boot on first boot please.
This should be common knowledge by now but if you want to complain about an issue make sure you have a log cat also you should be running a log cat on every first boot. If you dont have ADB set up on your computer follow this very easy guide to set it up. It truly only takes a few minutes.
Sceen shot below are how this rom looks on the Mytouch4G. YMMV.
What Works:
* It boots.
What Doesn't:
*Probably a lot - Devs only. Someone should pick this up and try and fix the issues as I don't have the device and wont be able to.
Roms:
http://www.multiupload.com/0H9W65HB4J
I warn you again - This is not for the faint of heart. I just want the base out there so hopefully someone can pick it up and make it functional as a daily driver.

Anyone try this yet i am downloading as i type.
Just flashed, booted ok, data seems to work, tried to turn on wifi, turned on then bootlooped. No sound but this all needs to be worked out.I will play some more when i get home from work.
Working on a new version with mr2sweet. Hopefully more will work. Its hard, I send him a rom, he flashes, he tells me what doesn't work. Its a slow process.

If you want I can test stuff out as well, I'm pretty good at finding oddball things.
ill wait till progress comes along. i hate bootloops :-(
Progress!!!
I've been working on the rom today. I've made a lot of progress. I got the status bar showing and the acer lockscreen working. I got wifi to the point that it gets suck on obtaining ip adress and then loops back to scanning etc. If someone can fix the wifi so it will finish obtaining an adress and connect that will be fixed. Also if someone can fix sound. There is no sound from the earpiece or the external speaker. I am going to continue to work on it and probably post and updated rom tonight. If anyone has any ideas to fix these issues it would help a lot.
Thanks so much option94. Love the liquid metal on my incredible. Hope we can get some interest in this for the inspire.

Yeah, dev section over here looks pretty boring. Need to liven things up a little.
Last night I flashed the ROM and this morning I found some issues that I'm sure you're aware of but I will point them out just in case.
Doesn't Work:
Home Button and Return Button
WiFi
Otherwise Didn't notice anything major, it seems the Menu button acts like the Home button. I will be glad to continue testing when there is an update.
Here is an UPDATED rom!
here is a link to an updated rom. Almost everything works and works well. The only thing that doesn't work is there is no sound from the speaker or the earpiece. If a dev could please fix this issue it could be used as a daily rom. Someone please help fix sound.

clockwork mod recovery question

so i rooted my g2x with the one click methode and got su. then i did the one click clockwork mod recovery flash. when i press vol down and powere it takes me to clockworkmod recovery, but all of menu is red. is this normal? alsoafter downloading rom manager i flashed the recovery and made some back ups, but when i reenter rom mananager my backups are gone, when i load into recovery backups are there! seems like rom manger doesnt stay synced with phone. i am using eagleblood rom and when i try to power off phone it doesnt respond , so i have to take out battery! please help, any info is welcome! thanks.
not sure which way it goes.. but depending on which CWR you installed, it may be working off of your external card.. and rom manager is looking for backups on the internal.
just gotta connect usb and move the files or use some kinda file manager app.

ok im thinking you did the nvflash method which is good if you did since the menu is red(yes this is normal). your probably not going to see your backups unless you do it the volume down & power way. not sure why its not powering off. you may wanna trying down loading the eagleblood rom again booting into clockwork with the volume down method installing the rom that way and see if that works.
sounds like a hassle i probably wont even use rom manager any more. thanks for info
thanks for info ill just skip rom manager all together, which rom is the most stable in your opinion

I Would go with Dark or Light sinister rom 2.2.1, or the Ultimate rom 2.2.1. until the release gb sourse or until krylon drops bionix rc2 which is hopefully soon.

At this point, as far as the most stable.. I agree.. anything w/ 2.2.1.. Most have been just sticking w/ stock because of many diff probs with 2.2.3/4. I think that's why the GB was 'leaked' a while ago. To help get some of these bugs brought to the surface.. and probably why we have seen the delay in launch. At least, I hope that's the case. I would not be shocked if they purposely leak these so they can watch the boards to see what probs are out there... Then spend a few weeks fixing it.
I'd have to agree that as far as using 'something' different, Bionix is good.. but it has its probs too. It has the typical reboots/locks up as most others have (excluding 2.2.1). Don't expect Bionix updates to be released like the others. They try to create a quality rom without doing "nightlies". Also, the dev is working on a 100 other projects. Not sure where the bionix priority is, but I'm sure it is not at the top of the list on a regular basis.
Seriously, from looking at how functional all of these releases are.. I think stock is your best option. After using Bionix for a few weeks now, I like it.. but the reboots/lockups are a pain.

LinuxBozo experience of Ghostie.Napkinz

Just wanted to start off and say a BIG THANKS for LinuxBozo and his amazing infuse mod which lets us use the other samsung roms (JVQ restricted )
I have been experimenting ALOT with various roms and thought i would share some of which i have tested out so far, the only one which gave me some issues was Sensation 2.0 , seems like when you reboot, sometimes you get no netwrok, then reboot, and icons are missing, so its a question.
Obviously this isnt really an OFFICAL rom for the Infuse, but id like to know if anyone else has had nice experience or recommendations for use with this dude's rom.

Hellraiser uses the same Rogers RIL that Infused v2 does, so probably not. (RIL is one of the things that gets swapped out.)
It's often hard to tell for sure because many frameworks won't show HSPA+ even if the RIL/modem are operating in that mode. Hell, even our original Froyo ROMs were broken in that way - they displayed UMTS when in HSPA+ mode. (UMTS is plain vanilla 3G.)
GingerReal - V7.1.4 JVQ
Been running GingerReal V7.1.4 JVQ with Infusion GB kernel and I must say it's snappy. I have not had a single problem with anything. And from what I read Quadrant scores don't mean much, but I got a 3500 OC at 1.6. without Stagefright. I did'nt know Stagefright was til I Googled it. But my phone is very fast and I am very happy. Thanks Linux

Which ROM did you test for JVP , i might give it a whirl, i finally finished going through all those roms, The Vibrant rom wasnt very exciting, and seemed to lack the extended power menu drop down which has Reboot, recovery download mode and such, thats a big thing for me.
Darky was my favorite so far,I might try Sensation. If anyone wants to test out a couple JVP roms and try adding in the APN settings, lets see what comes up and post which rom you tested.
Thanks everyone for their input on this, im getting more interested now and i will be trying to use the Infusion Kernel with some of these roms and see if i get a performance boost.
Im not sure if its just me, but whenever i reboot ANY of those roms which are installed with Linux's software , it seems sometimes the icons on the app drawer l ike disappearing, then when i reboot, apps reappear, but the Network to ATT gets cut off, then i reboot again, and sometimes its normal..........Any ideas?

BTW, the default behavior in Sensation is no extended power menu, but if you use the app "Theme Settings (included in the ROM) you can change this.
As to the other issues - that's a new one, I haven't seen it before.

I ran Hawkish 4 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1032599
I chose it because I saw that the ROM included the background effect from the SGSII, which while I have the SGSII & this feature seems to throw my photos to the way over saturated side - its more appealing for home screen settings and every day use since everything just looked almost wet or gooey. But the setting didn't work I imagine a kernel conflict, but I'm sure this could be built into one of our ROMS later and I wouldn't mind helping out with putting it together.
Overall I thought this ROM was a little laggy for the phone, I'm sure there are others out there that could run MUCH better or smoother.
I find it funny that we get a stock phone and find it boring so we flash a brand new phone to something completely different within an hour and when the next phone comes out we want their stock stuff so we can see how it is on OUR phone...HAHAHA -addicted

I think those are controls for Voodoo Color which:
1) Is extremely difficult to implement on our device (significantly different screen)
2) Is not necessary on our device - our screen fixes most if not all of the problems VC was intended to fix.

Yes sir, I believe you are exactly right. I normally don't like over saturation, but on a HUGE screen it looked great with some gooey gingerbread green stuff around it. My photography looked horrible especially HDR shots, worth it though. The colors on the SGSII and this phone are pretty different tho. But a lot to do with the same resolution on a smaller screen. The screen on the Infuse is a big (no pun) factor that held me to it rather than the SGSII

1) started off with phone already rooted and such and previously had Infused V2.00 full., Downloaded a JVQ rom ( like Darky's ) , and then downloaded Linux Bozo's rom/mod ) Put both of the zips on the ROOT of the internal SD .
2) backup info and boot into Red recovery.( Shut off device, then hold Vol - and + while pressing power ), release power and continue holding both volume keys).
3) Perform the following
Wipe Data/Factory Reset, Wipe Cache partition, Wipe Dalvik Cache
Install zip from SD card and select the ROM you want to use
Do install from SD card again and this time select the Linux Bozo zip
4) Reboot and you will be in your rom after 10 minutes ( be patient, it takes time ). If you want better performance, install the Infuse GB Kernel. Get it here

I've successfully flashed a JVQ Rom. I'm trying to figure out how Infiniti350 was able to flash a JVP Rom.

I just followed the exact instructions the OP posted up above. With 1 mishap, when I downloaded what I thought was the ROM....I only got the lock-screen (what happens when you read things way too fast & think you know what you did) which I already downloaded and flashed
I mounted the SD card while in recovery and pushed the file containing the ROM over to the phone - flashed it - flashed LinuzBozo's stuff - rebooted & things went well all I had to do was add APN's back.
I really like my current set up BUT I'll probably find something else, before I load the ROM I want I'll run this again with a JVP base and see how things go & defiantly let you guys know. Now I'm curious why it doesn't work for other people.

I think sometimes people either have a bad flash or don't properly wipe data. Same reason lots of people randomly had problems with Infused. (I haven't tried JVP myself though.)
Well, i just finished wrapping up my favorite roms, and i keep jumping between the Sensation rom, and Darky's Rom .
BUT!
I always data wipe, clear cache, factory reset
Idk if this helps, but i saw theres a new Linuz BETA 6 , perhaps this might help problems that a few have been going through.
In closing, i really hope more ROMS designed for the Infuse come fast , i got a feeling with this new mod there will be many to come

This is a very good point. The data wipe is vital for the Infuse no matter what. I have tried it with and without the wipe & all sorts of very strange things go wrong at random. Market apps wont download - Errors when using data - Youtube errors - issues with email. Each time I did it different ones would act up too, never the same.
Full Wipe so far has fixed it without failure
*Edit - Full for me same as prasadudwadia said above - data, cache, and factory reset.

MT4GS will not wake up using Virtuous Inquisition 4.0.2

I recently downloaded virtuous inquisition on my mytouch 4g slide. I have an intermediate understanding of computers and was able to install the ROM and am quite happy with the experience it offers. I however have began to experience my phone freezing and not waking up. While I am usually able to have the phone enter and exit sleep mode no problem, sometimes when I press the power button to enter sleep mode, the screen will go black, but the backlight on the physical keys and slide out keyboard will remain on. Pressing the power button will not turn off the backlight or bring the screen back from sleep mode. Interesting to note that when I call my phone while in this state it will still ring and vibrate, however the screen will still not light up and I can not answer. The green notification light will also still blink. The only way I found to get out of this state is to physically pop out the battery and then restart. I was not experiencing this problem with stock ROM. Thanks for your help!
Do you have Revolutionary S-Off or do you have the new bootloader that is HTCdev unlocked & S-on?
When this happens see if trackpad wake works. I know on cm9 when I have sleep of death the trackpad wakes it right up

I just got my MT4GS about a month ago and am running the new S-on 1.45.0013 version unlocked by using Hasoon2000's tool at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1532809

While both my trackpad and power button worked to wake up while in stock, only my power button worked from day 1 when I started using Virtuous Inquisition. My trackpad activated nothing while in sleep mode. I assumed this was just a normal part of the ROM?
When you installed your ROM did you do full wipes and then fastboot flash boot boot.img to seperately install your kernel? If not, that'll mess up tons of different stuff.

Yes, I did wipes to system data, catche, and Dalvik catche in CWM all directly before installing the ROM. Right after I installed the .zip file, I flashed the boot.img file in fastboot.
That just DOESN'T sound like anything my wife or me have ever experience on VI. It's always been one of the most stable ICS ROMs either of us has ever used. AMAZING battery life too. VERY strange! Are you running extreme OC or anything that might make it unstable? If not, that one just stumps me. ....maybe UV?

No, I am not even OC because I have found the speeds when running VI on my phone to be fast enough and fine. Overall, I would agree that VI is extremely stable and have not found really any other major glitches. Only the minor tethering and camera glitches that they disclose when downloading. In someways this makes me inclined to think it could possibly be hardware, however I find it strange that I never have this particular problem in stock ROM.

Maybe it's just a timing issue in that the hardware issue arose after changing ROMs. Possible a packet got corrupted during the download. Maybe redownload and flash over what you have now? I just don't know.
Why don't you make a nand if that doesn't work and then flash MikTouch. It's stock just debloated & rooted. Maybe that will give you some indication that you aren't getting right now.
It may BE as simple as a hardware issue. Not good by any means but it may pinpoint it.
VI Blackouts
VI w/the GB kernel 2.6 would blackout like that from my experience. Check the third post on rootz and load the v3 beta kernel. I used VI for a few months, until I switched to CM9. I think I only blacked out once during that time with that kernel.

Do you have a link to the page you are referring? I have not upgraded the kernel and want to make sure of the steps. Thanks!
