Out of curiosity how do I manage to find out all the information for the access points for T-Mobile? I have my 3G and everything set up but I lose connection from time to time and I have to go over and switch to Wi-Fi. I currently have the HD2 and I am running the Energy Froyostone v2
Will this help out my T-Mo US connection from dropping here and there?

Hey everyone.
Here's my dilemma:
I'm on the 3 network in Australia, which roams to Telstra GSM (GPRS/EDGE) when I don't have 3G reception. I have a 1GB data plan, but when roaming on Telstra it costs $1.25 per 1MB.
I want to stop my trinity from connecting to GPRS/EDGE while roaming, while still allowing 3G/HSDPA to function normally. Any ideas / solutions?
All I know of is Modaco NoData. Perhaps you could use MortScript and get it to run NoData while you are roaming. Also, i'm sure there must be some solution to deactivate the data connection while roaming. I'll post back if i find something.
Thanks for that. Don't know mort script but i'll look into it.
Also of notice, the same internet profile is used whether i'm on my home network or roaming, so disabling the profile won't cut it i'm afraid.
Check this out... it might have what you want

One of the members here @ XDA developed this app which can switch between GPRS / 3G plus a whole lot of nifty features.
Unfortunately not.
I need to still be able to make and receive calls on the GSM network. I purely need to stop the internet connection from functioning through GPRS/EDGE
After I recently installed Pocketping 1.6, I noticed that even after I enabled WiFi on my Fuze, the IP address of my phone was not given from my local network. It was still based off of my 3G connection.
Question is, is there a way to change settings so that if I enable WiFi it will use that over the 3G without having to disable my Data Connection?
TIA -- and if this is in another thread, please point me in the right direction
I a noob just got my first Pocket pc
AT&T Fuze.
I wondering if I lose my connection to At&t or does than only matter on the sim card.
And it the rom is just a different version of windows with modications.
Thank in advance,
Loading a new rom will not effect your service plan.
Also, if you've loaded a ROM that doesn't have the ATT network settings, be sure to either manually install them or use Connection wizard so that you can connect to the network.

Click to collapse
just to specify, your phone connects to att thriough setting on your phone (kind of like setting up dial-up) you have to tell in what you are connecting to. again this is local and does not effect your data plan. you can get all the settings from the att site.

Hi, I hope somebody can help with this.
I have just received my new Hero H9500 Android phone. I am on O2 in the UK. I can connect to their network for calls & texts - I've even been able to make a video call. Internet is only achievable via WIFI. If I switch WIFI off and enable 3G, the phone just doesn't connect. I have tried downloading some apps to manage the 3G on/off, but this has made no difference. Having just got off the phone to O2, and them telling me that because it is not a phone that they sell they cannot help me, I'm now feeling a little hacked off!
The ROM is the stock ROM supplied, which I was intending to leave on, I'd rather not switch to the Zopo p900 ROM unless it is really necessary.
So if anybody has any useful advise, I'm all ears.
Thanks in advance!
****** I have resolved this problem...apologies if I wasted anybodies time! I manually changed the APN settings that O2 had automatically sent me when my SIM first registered on theor network and with a switch off and on of 3G it suddenly connected!
