[Q] LG GW620 questions - General Questions and Answers

Hello everyone, i'm new to this site, just joined about 5 mins ago. And i see you guys mean business. I have an lg gw 620 and it has some malfunctions. After i bought it i started to explore it. I noticed that i can not send text messages, i can not download from the internet and my bluetooth is not working. I have went back from where i bought it since the phone has it's warranty , they kept it for 2 weeks and when it came back they told me i need a bluetooth ear thingy so i could send/receive data from other phones, i still can not send messages and i still can not download from the internet, the videos don't load either. Does anyone know how i could solve the problems by myself , of course with your help?Might it be that this is a software problem or a physical telephone problem? And another question, how could i make an animated .gif work on my wallpaper?
Thank you in advance !
Keep up the good work.

Whatsapp issue

Hello guys I bought the new nexus 5 today and when installed whatsapp no unread messages were shown/came.
I had xperia s earlier and display got dead so i removed the sim conected the phone to tv and uninstalled whatsapp.
I was expecting tons of messages after 2 months of going back to whatsapp.
Please help me solve this I didnt saved so many chicks phone no I only had chats and this is a disaster.
I only got 5 chats saying you have been removed from the group I mean there will be atleast 1 message I must have got in last 2 months a broadcast maybe.
Please please please help.
Thankyou
try unregistering it from your old phone
I have to connect the phone to tv first and put the sim in that phone and when I reinstall it will again do the phone confirmation thing so I don't think that will help either.

Problems with Push Notifications

Hi guys,
Since the day I bought the Moto G (XT1032 bought on Amazon UK) I have a problem with push notifications on Instant Messaging apps (like Hangouts and Facebook Messenger).
With Facebook Messenger (that is the IM I use most of the time), only 50% or 33,3% of the notifications arrive, when the Moto G is on WIFI, with the screen off and not conected to a charger.
And yes, I checked and the wifi is set to be always on, even with the screen off.
So, when someone send me messages on FB Messenger, I only receive 1 of 2, or 1 of 3 messages. Most of the time, I recive one and the other don't.
With Hangouts, the problem is just with the first message: It can take lot's of minutes to receive the message that starts the conversation. The others arrieve with no problem. But when I reboot the phone, the problem with the first message starts again.
In both apps, when the notification doesen't arrive, if I press the power button to turn the screen on, the notification arrive at that exact second (it's like its stuck in the phone, and the power button is like a trigger).
And, the stuck message will arrive too if I receive other messages (it can be from the same person), and the phone will vibrate twice (for the new message and for the stucked one)
I tried this on different routers, with different internet providers, I even tried with my Galaxy S as a hotspot, using my 3G Internet, but the problem is always there.
So 2 weeks ago, I unlocked my Moto G to install CyanogenMod, to see if the problem was from the Motorola firmware, but with the CyanogenMod Rom, the problem is still there.
So, this is why I'm starting this thread, to see if there is more people that can reproduce this problem, and to try to find a way to solve it.
If someone need logcats or other type of logs to try to find out whats happening, I will send them as soon as possible.
Thank you, and sorry my bad english.
PS: This is my second Moto G (I asked for a replacement because of this bug), so, I think that this is not a hardware problem of my phone.

Hey! I had the exact same problem with the RAZR HD (xt925), I've got it replaced twice, with the same problem... just like you... so they finally replaced the razr hd for a xperia zl (6502), the xperia had android 4.2.2 (at the time) and the problem was COMPLETELY GONE!.. so, well.. as the time passed by, the 4.3 came up, updated... and guess what?? the exact same problem from the razr HD was back in this xperia zl. I had decided to roll back to the 4.2.2 again... there aren't any delayed notifications on this firmware. Seems like it's a power saving mode of some sort. who knows :/

HTC U11+ Android 8.0.0. - Notifications not working properly

Hello,
I am having a problem with my phone which is driving me up the wall. I think it's an issue with the version of Android rather than some physical issue with the phone.
I'm finding I'm not getting my notifications in a timely manner. For example, someone could send me a message on Whatsapp and I don't get a notification until 10 hours later (no exaggeration) or I get a two notifications from eBay saying a item is about to end and the other that I've missed it. It's making it difficult to enjoy using the phone.
I've tried disabling power optimization and allowing background data but to no avail. I've also factory reset my phone which seems to make no difference. Can anyone make a suggestion on how to resolve this?
Nick
Try to reset your phone from factory
Ensure the apps are not optimized as it seems like these are apps that require an internet connection.
Sent from my HTC U11 plus using Tapatalk
Any ideas guys if this will be solved soon.?
I went back to the seller and received another U11 Plus and same behaviour.
Phone calls are working as expected , whatsapp working , only email notification are not working and this is a real problem for me.
Any suggestions ?
Thank you,
George.

WhatsApp activation issue

Hey guys,
I have just received my brand new Note 20 Ultra, but I'm having a strange issue.
Whenever I try to activate WhatsApp, it just keeps loading endlessly. Now I have tried so many times that I can't received a code to activate it on my old device either.
See the video here, has anyone experienced this? It's quite frustrating. I have also contacted WhatsApp, I'm waiting for their reply.

I had an similar issue but not that extreme, i had two attempts without joy thought WhatsUp started to work from third attempt. Hard to tell what might be a culprit, nevertheless i dont think it is a phone issue, more like error on activation server ...

Good luck mate. That happened to me also. Taught me a big lesson about relying on google drive for my WhatsApp history backups.
fi you used smartswitch you may have moved over some data that got some things tangled up.
i have the fold 2 and ultra 20. did not use smart switch. ive had zero issues with restoring my backups.
i have 2 whatsapp numbers on the ultra 20 (dual messenger) . again no issues with any of the 3 backups.
Thanks for your replies guys!
I struggled quite a lot, deleted all data transferred with smart switch but it still wouldn't work.
And last night, out of the blue, it just decided to finally work. It synced all my previous chats. I'm not sure what happened there.
