[Q] How to unroot and go back to stock?

I saw that a few others have asked this question but none of those threads have gotten much in replies and advice. Currently running MIUI 1.7.15 and would like to go back to stock (out of box). Any advice or guides out there?
They're not answered because its in a stickied thread

Q: How do I root/unroot the Nexus S?
Check the development section links below for more detail, but you gain root on the Nexus S by booting the phone into fastboot mode and typing "fastboot oem unlock." This will wipe your phone and it's SD card partition. To unroot it, again boot into fastboot mode and type "fastboot oem lock."
Follow the root guide stickied at the top of this forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=895545
In the event you want to return to stock, simply flash the NAND backup found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=884093 . This will restore everything, including the stock recovery image. Then as mentioned above go into the bootloader/fastboot mode and enter "fastboot oem lock" in ADB.

Hello everybody, new member here. I have recently rooted and installed CyanogenMod 10 on my Samsung galaxy s blaze 4g to test it out and I just feel weird with it. download Odin (look for k0nane's post in the dev thread). flash the tar.md5 file from the first thread. click on phone and navigate to where you downloaded it. UNCHECK REPARTITION. if you dont, you'll brick your phone... boot into download mode, and then flash it. you'll be stock.
for the future, you can get a long way by using the search feature...

You probably dirty flashed, install cwm for the stock firmware you flashed via odin. Once installed go into cwm and wipe everything; data/factory reset, wipe cache, dalvik cache, and fix permissions. Try that and it should be able to workagain. Also you might have the wrong baseband installed.

You used Odin..not Heimdall. I haven't used Odin in a while
If you can use Odin, I recommend using option C via Odin

What exactly did you put in the bootloader section?
Typically, you unzip the Odin files and drop each one in the corresponding section... Review jscott30's UCLB3 Odin OP for complete instructions...

That file contains only the stock kernel file which needs to be extracted before it can be flashed. Note that for any of Odin packages you need to use 7zip or other archive program to extract the files needed to complete the task. If the files saved to disk don't end in "md5" you haven't extracted them yet.
Since it appears you got at least part of the way to JB-4.2, you will need to load a stock firmware package that includes a PIT (partition) file in order to get back to working stock config.
Visit this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1705260
Choose whether you want rooted or stock firmware - either way you will have stock recovery and won't be able to flash other firmwares (ROMs, MUFs, etc). Follow the instructions exactly as shown in the OP. If successful you should be able to boot the phone with a brand new config.
If you later decide you want to flash custom firmware, you will need to flash a kernel with red CWM recovery. The Odin kernel packages are located here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1698367
For GB ROMs just follow the instructions in the associated OP.
For JB, andros11 published a good guide on how to get from GB with CWM(red) recover to JB - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1878458
-----
If you decide you don't like Odin anymore, there is another way, using Heimdall - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1524081
Kernels with red CWM recovery are in posts 2 & 3 of this thread.
Either way - read carefully, follow instructions exactly, and if necessary, repeat. Exercise care if flashing bootloaders - make sure you have a reliable USB cable, connection, and PC before starting. (This step only necessary if recovery mode looks like garbage, rainbows, unicorn farts, etc..)
Good luck and happy flashing!

no os installed TWRP

Hey guys, so I accidentally wiped my whole phone, including the SD card, so I'm stuck at the recovery TWRP screen.
What should I do?
Download a rom, place it in your sd, flash it and enjoy the proper method of flashing can be found in the q&a thread.
If you're unlock/s-on don't forget to flash the boot.img in fastboot.
If your phone is mddi panel don't use jb rom.

My phone isn't rooted, butcan I somehow restore it to a stock rom?
U can return to stock. Try searching in the index thread in dev section or google key words like s-on/ruu/stock rom.
But did u check out the guide I posted? u've alrd got step 2 and 3. I assume u alrd have adb command set up-ed, if not check step 1. Step 4 onwards describe the "how to" flash custom roms.

[Q] Attempting to unbrick ATT Infuse, only boots into recovery.

I had hard bricked my Infuse some time ago trying to update Android to Jelly Bean if I remember correctly. Today I tried to fix it. I followed this thread. The phone gets to the point where it reboots, but then it won't boot into Android it only boots into recovery mode. I don't know anything about flashing, but I'm guessing what I need to do is flash the stock ROM.
Could anyone help me?

You could try a back-to-stock method, using Odin.
If you are using AT&T (option D or A, depending if you want CWM or not):

If you use i997R (Rogers):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1193927
Instructions are in the respective threads. Hope this helps.

Looks like you don;t have the appropriate drivers drivers installed to use download mode.
Some people use Kies to get the drivers, me I prefer ADBSetup. The package installs generic (or at least non-specific) drivers along with your standard debugging tools (adb, fastboot).
Just download the package, run as administrator, say yes to both (or at least the drivers portion), and you should be ready to go with download mode again. If you are still having problems, you may need to reboot.
