Hello everybody, new member here. I have recently rooted and installed CyanogenMod 10 on my Samsung galaxy s blaze 4g to test it out and I just feel weird with it. Is there anyway to return back to stock android Gingerbread? I've tried everything but it keeps returning me to CyanogenMod. Please and thank you.

For samsung official (no root) go to this thread and download the file: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1917570
download Odin (look for k0nane's post in the dev thread). flash the tar.md5 file from the first thread. click on phone and navigate to where you downloaded it. UNCHECK REPARTITION. if you dont, you'll brick your phone... boot into download mode, and then flash it. you'll be stock.
for the future, you can get a long way by using the search feature...

You probably dirty flashed, install cwm for the stock firmware you flashed via odin. Once installed go into cwm and wipe everything; data/factory reset, wipe cache, dalvik cache, and fix permissions. Try that and it should be able to workagain. Also you might have the wrong baseband installed.

Odin loads and installs the downloaded recovery file. When I boot into recovery, it loads the stock android recovery instead of CWM.
I have downloaded the files several times, made sure the drivers are updated and installed and I still get the same result.
When in download mode, it says Custom Binary Download: Yes (10 counts)
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Try the updated CWM recovery in my guide.
No joy! Downloaded your CWM recovery on a different pc and after flashing with Odin, I still can only boot to the stock android recovery.
My counter went up one more time. Pure frustration at this point!
I'm having the same problem on my 3113. I tried several times, odin says everything is good, count goes up and still Android recovery.

I can't guarantee this will fix it, buy you should try restoring to stock 4.0.3.
Rolled back to 4.03 and everything works great! Big thanks for your help!
How to rollback to 4.0.3?
I see folks talking about rollback to 4.0.3, yet no one explains how to do it or where to get the firmware image from! As far as I can tell, I have to have root access before I can flash anything. My device is reporting that it is not properly rooted. What do I do next? I've successfully rooted my EVO and my Galaxy Nexus, but the GTab2 has me stumped.

Same but with Heimdall. Well at least it is awesome Windows users experience the same troubles. This improves chances that somebody has enough rating here to post to the ClockworkMod recovery thread.

The problem appears to be that Samsung has gotten cute and restores stock recovery during the boot.
This isn't very nice -- they did the same thing with a recent update on their SGS-II phones as well, and I don't remember how I got around it.

I noticed this first on my Thrive tablet, then noticed it again on the 4.0.4 update. Once you are rooted, you can rename (If memory serves) /system/etc/install-recovery.sh to something like /system/etc/install-recovery.bak
Then go back into download mode and reflash cwm recovery.
I incremented my flash count by about 5 before I remembered about this.
If you do not rename that script, by the time you see your boot animation, the stock recovery will have already overwritten your custom recovery..

That´s the trick:
Uncheck "Auto-Reboot" in Odin.
If Odin finished flashing: wait one minute.
Now DIRECTLY boot from Downloadmode into Recovery - don´t reboot into System!
Now enjoy CWM - no need to do this again

I highly recommend you let the tab do the OTA and check out the stock ICS first. THe Stock ROMs are more stable than any of the CM10 based ROMs and you will lose your IR remote functions on CM10 / AOKP/
but if you want CM10 / AOKP
First flash CWM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2004835
Then follow steps in ROM you want to install.
Follow steps carefully because there is a hard brick bug in some of these tablets and if you wipe the system improperly you can permanently brick your device.

SOrry I thought there was a guide in the forum.
ok
- Download your stock ROM
- If its a zip, extract all and there should be a P62xxxxxxxxxxxxx_HOME.tar.md file
- Open Odin 1.85 or 1.87
- Restart the device into download mode (Press Home Button + Power Button + Volume down)
- Connect tablet to USB and wait until you get a yellow/blue sign in Odin
- Add P62xxxxxxxxxxxxx_HOME.tar.md5 to PDA (click PDA block and point to the file your extracted)
- Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
- Click start ..... Start flash, sit back and wait a few minutes
- When finished, you should see a green message "SUCCESS" on ODIN
- Reboot your device and Voila!
Thus changing cwm to 6.0.1.9 will fix the hard brick issue? I aso upgraded my niece tab to stock ics but im worry it might hard brick her device later on.
Ps i check using emmc checker and her device is affected.

Hi, I'm having and issue with my Galaxy Tab 7.7 (P6810) and don't know what is the problem, so I'm looking for assistance here. (Thanks in advance).
Let me describe my issue(s):
1. A friend went to flash the Tab and apparently used the wrong firmware, in Odin mode shows GT-P7560.
2. I already tried flashing different firmwares but when I use ICS the Tab goes into a bootloop. I can go to download (odin) mode, but can't go to recovery mode (volume up + power).
3. I flashed it with a stock firmware (P6810DTKL5_P6810XSAKL2_XSA) and got it to boot, but is asking for a password it never had.
So I'm thinking there's an issue with the partition or bootloader. Already tried a "p6810-16g.pit" file with no luck
Tried flashing different CWM versions and nothing works. So at this point I'm stuck on this issue.
What can I do to bring back my device to a functional state? Any advice would be appreciated! THANKS A LOT!! :good::laugh:
I'm attaching the images describing the issues.

You don't need a bootloader, it was already "flashed" when he flashed the stock official firmware - bootloader would have been included in that and PIT
If done correctly, the PIT should work, if not - unfortunately, most likely back for repair............ bummer
Without actually checking the above is HC, have you tried the official HoneyComb firmware ? Just don't factory reset in HC recovery
P6810 ICS LPP Bootloader
Here you go............
I have packaged my P6810 ICS LPP bootloader files into an ODIN flashable .tar.mD5 format.
Flashing Instructions :
Extract the Sbl.bin.zip and boot.bin.zips so that you have Sbl.bin.tar.md5 & boot.bin.tar.md5
Ensure you have the latest Samsung USB drivers installed
Disable KIES
Disable KIES process in Task Manager
Run ODIN
Ensure ONLY "auto reboot" and "reset time" are checked
Device in Download mode
Connect device to PC USB port
ODIN - Flash Sbl.bin.tar.md5 in either "bootloader" -or- "PDA" option (choose one only)
Then repeat above same method to flash boot.bin.tar.md5
** After that, try reflash the COMPLETE official stock ICS LPP package with ODIN
Best of luck

Hi, thanks for your assistance... here's what I just did:
1. I downloaded the bin files you attached and both are appearing as invalid md5 in ODIN, apparently the hash is invalid.
2. I renamed them from .tar.md5 to just .tar and flashed my device with both files as you described.
3. Rebooted twice, went to Download mode again.
4. Flashed with P6810XXLPP_P6810XSALJ2 (stock firmware).
5. Got bootloop again.
6. Re-flashed the "Sbl.bin" & "boot.bin" again, and still got bootloop.
7. Download mode still shows "P7560" as the installed firmware.
Any other advice?
Thanks again! :good:

Very strange, particularly if the flash was successful.....................
Try flashing both the files at once. boot.bin in "bootloader" and SBl.bin in "PDA".
Maybe something else we haven't thought of..
If I think of anything else, will let you know, but try the stock HC firmware too, just in case.

Tried the steps above and still the same.
I had to flash back to the stock HC firmware because the ICS led into an infinite loop, at least HC let me turn off the device.

JTag (riff box) by a 3rd party or Samsung.

Since the Cyanogenmod Rom failed flashing I tried to flash the stock firmware using Odin v.1.83 (Odin v3.09 and v3.07 wouldn't open) in order to get a Rom, then I tried to re-root it using v1.83, but it died when I was trying to. So, I decided to charge it and that's what happened. At least that's what I remember. My USB connector works but doesn't charge when connected to the PC, that's why it died. Other than that I do not believe anything else was done to it.

OK, that makes more sense. If your device died during installation that will happen. If I use Odin, I usually use v1.85, but I have found Heimdall to be more stable and consistent. Can you boot into download mode?

There have been known problem using Odin on Windows 8, but I've done it multiple times. (I had kies installed if it makes any difference)
Anyway, do you have a Linux computer laying around somewhere? Depending on what happened during I installation, one can be used to maybe trip the device into a bootloop and then from there you can boot into recovery and flash a ROM. (I had to do this with my S2 after a power glitch while using Odin.) Odin isn't needed to root the tab. All you have to do us use Odin or Heimdall to flash a custom recovery (CWM or TWRP) and then flash SuperSU.zip in recovery.

Odin does detect the device. So you SHOULD be able to go to www.samfirmware.com , click on "Firmware Database" and select the options in the drop down boxes for your tablet. Download the zip file (you'll need a sammobile account) and then extract the zip file. You should have a tar.md5 or a tar file that you can flash in Odin. Make sure your tab is charged and you run Odin as admin. After you flash that, reboot into recovery (will be stock recovery) and do a factory reset and wipe cache. Now you should be able to reboot into stock android (with TouchWIZ of course). To root from here, use Odin to flash latest @Android-Andi TWRP recovery and the flash @Chainfire's SuperSU.zip and you'll be rooted!
As always, I am not responsible for what happens to your device. Doing this will raise your flash counter and void your warranty, which is probably void already if you flashed anything before.

That is quite weird. I have done the same thing at least 2 or 3 times. Try going to https://builds.casual-dev.com/jodin3/ Make sure you plug in your device before loading the above page. Your device should be detected when the page loads. In PDA put the latest TWRP tar file. Click start. It will say something like it needs a pit file and will reboot to find it. Click OK. It might fail but thats fine. Unplug your device. It will reboot and should show a bootloop. Now you should be able to reboot into recovery. If not, you might have to JTag but I don't know. For future reference, if a ROM is bootlooping, don't flash stock in Odin. Just do a full wipe and reflash the ROM and that should fix it.

EDIT: if the tab died during installation of an important file, it can ruin the device. www.mobiletechvideos.com does have JTAG service that can be used as a last resort. It costs around 50 US Dollars.

First I want to say I'm an idiot and I am super new to this world!
My phone is SM-A600G
Yesterday I downloaded an unofficial port of Teamwin for Galaxy A6 from this forum and flash it to my phone using Odin3. It worked and the phone booted to TWRP. Then I clicked the Wipe button and by mistake I did wipe the system. I clicked to Reboot and it said "No OS found!". I have tried to download the stock ROM, extract it and flash using ODIN -> fail (I did reboot to Download mode). Try the zip with Teamwin -> fail. Try with adb sideload -> fail. Try with fastboot -> fail. The only thing I successfully flashed is the TWRP!
So any opinion how can I recover my phone (reinstall stock ROM)? Just don't care about the data inside.
Thanks for any help! Hope I went to the right place
This thread's title is absolutely errleading: it was not TWRP that wiped phone's system partition, it was YOU.
Take it to authorized service center and let them fix it.
@jwoegerbauer Can I fix it at home instead or I must bring it to the service center? Thanks!
@raspiduino In no way you can fix it by yourself!
Oh man I tried with different stock ROM and Odin worked. Thanks anyway!
