Hey guys,
I'm looking for an app or widget, which is able to ring or vibrate every 50 minutes. I found apps with single countdown or with other predefined intervals. Any ideas?
BTW: great and awesome killer-xda-app

I could maybe make one, what do u need it for?

You could use one of the poker timers in the market and set the blind timers.
@GlobaL_TroTTer
thx for your offer.
this is such a great forum with such f*ckin' friendly users...i'm really impressed...
this app/tool should vibrate every 50minutes, because i'm playing an online game, where i get money every 50minutes, and if somebody attacking me, the money is gone... ( )
so, the idea of evilkorn isn't bad.
but i've searched an tried maybe 6 to 8 apps,
but none of these was able to do this.
maybe a poker timer will do it's job...
i'll report later...
thanks guys and sorry für bad bad englisch
Worst case scenario, set alarms 50 minutes apart, haha. You just have to make sure you start playing right as the first alarm goes off so it's exactly 50 minutes apart. Not sure if that'll work for you, though. Just a thought!
so, i'm back and i didn't found an prog which is able to do this.
i found some poker-apps, but there i could do a countdown for 30 rounds or so. but i need an endless countdown... it should start manually one time, maybe after a restart, and then until the next restart. and maybe one short ring oder vibrate to show, that 50mins are gone...
@GlobaL_TroTTer
could u do this for me?
thanks for the answers
PS: the last post i can't follow :/
Yeah ill try. Tell me exactly how u want it

you are the best, man...
how cool are ur skills?!
basics:
There should be a window where u can place a length of time...
in my case exactly 50 minutes...
and a button, which starts the countdown.
if the counter reached zero, it should restart counting (backwards) immediately, without any user-interaction. an endless loop...
it would be nice, when the user can choose, wether he wants a ringing signal or just vibrating. and it would be nicer, when the user can choose the kind of ringing tone... but a simple *pling* would be enough...
if u area bit deeper in the matter, i could create a widget, which tell the user the rest of the time until "the end" (of the 50 minutes).
but it would be enough, if there is the essential counter and i short vibrating...
BIG BIG THANKS, u are the best...
Onetouch timer should be able to do this. It will set custom alarm repeats, any amount of hh mm ss. It's also awesome for general countdown and stopwatch use.

i think u're wrong.
i couldn't find any option to repeat the timer... only to repeat the alarm...
search for workout timers, intervall timers
making it now
im keeping it simple, may improove it later
Ok its done
Download it from my beta website http://hedbergm.kicks-ass.net/Site/download.html
damned, seems that ur site is currently down?
Do you still want it, pm me!

Here is he app!!!!
heres the app
Seems to be a cool app. Will test tomorrow. I like the simplicity and the sound. Not penetrating like other ones. Good choice. Is it possible to add personal times? Last time I was ill and had to take some pills every hour. Just another part of daily use for your cool app. But needed 60 minutes, not 50.
After testing tomorrow I will give you another feedback.
But I want to say big thanks for your nice work...

custom times
ill definitely try out custom times within the app. thanks for the feedback
hey,
after testing i can say that the app only rings with "test sound" or so, but not within the 50 minutes. i dont know wether it is cause of an "automated task killer" or whatever.
i have whitelisted your app, but i didn'T hear any sound...
do u have an idea? what kind of sound is your tone?
"alarm sound" or "multimedia sound"?
both of them was loud on my phone, but it only was an idea of finding the error-source...
Ive redone the whole app + a stopwatch. Its allmost done ill upload some screen shots.

at work I often need to do some checks every 30 minutes. I currently bring in an old G-shock watch for this.
I'd love to find an app that would just count down a specific number of minutes then repeat that but no luck yet.
anyone see something like this?
just saw this today : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=691997
Kitchen Timer has multiple timers you can reset quickly.
Thanks guys but I really would like to be able to have it repeat automatically. I was just hoping someone had enabled that feature
and those are great apps BTW!
Try Ultimate Holdem Timer . I know it's for poker... but you should be able to make use of it!

HI,
Please can any one help me to find app for time lapse photos i got HTC HD2.
Simple program to make photos to one folder automatically every some period of time.
Thank you
Just used Google to find this, I have not tried it myself but it looks interesting anyways.
im curious too if such an app exists , but i dont think anybody has thought about it ...
it would have to open the camera program and take a shot and close it , if it wouldnt close it , ur batt would go down but even if u plugged in a charger , ur cpu would desolder itself with the cam app running
I use on iphone time lapse app and was amazing i done really wicked videos. App was really simple to use, maybe if someone got the time and knowledge is good idea to make it.
"Just used Google to find this, I have not tried it myself but it looks interesting anyways."
Used Google to find what?
I cant see any suggestions on you post.
I too would LOVE to find such an app.
I need an app that makes my camera on the HD2 to take pictures everey second. Or every 2 seconds. Im doing paragliding, and can not push the trigger while flying my stuff. So I need the phone to take 1000 pics. Then I can pick out the best ones.

which phone do you have?
alot of alarm clocks or even calander like one in htc default one gives you an option to set recurring reminders
like you set it for 7 pm and recurring everyday monday-saturday
hence you only need to set it for just one time period like 7 pm 5 am etc and it will take care for the rest of the month by itself
nexus 4, my calendar doesnt have anything like that

i found an app called reMind which does what i want. its bareboned and id like some more control over the alert, but overall its what im looking for
You can check out this app. I think it will fulfill your need.

little hard to use.
I'll keep it short. Even with it's faults, fleksy on the gear 2 is pretty kick a** especially living in NY. It may not seem much to have the option of typing on your wrist as opposed to typing on the smartphone but for me it's huge especially living and travelling within NYC. In my business I have my clients text me as opposed to email, it's an option that helps keep me competitive.
After one day I am appreciating (especially in a crowded subway, where media controller has been great too) to reply to text It's actually a little fun to watch fleksy turn vuysman into vitamin or cilfnia into california. I always tell folks when they see my gear 2 is what it comes down to "Does this product make my life easier?" - even before fleksy...a little bit but now that it is here even in beta yeah...it increases my productivity. Yeah I know it's not perfected but I'm thankful they released it in beta form (which still makes my life easier.)
Thank you Fleksy. You were 2 months late and I was ticked off when this wasn't at launch but like an awesome guest at a party, better late than never.
I agree with you that the watch and Fleksy app is making my life easier but since I also want to text using my native language it prety much becomes an obselete app to those that doesn't speak english or to those I want to text in Greek.

It can only get better, but as is, I typed out a message pretty dang quick - sweet. I found your post about making contacts with "." - good idea.
I need to be able to reply FROM the text message though... hope it comes soon.

When I open the app all I see the contacts?????
the same with me - I start the app and I see only the word contatcs
same here, is there a way to set it up as a reply method?? currently i have to search through the contacts to find the msg thread.. is this how it suppose to work??
Fleksy impressions are nice and interesting.
I really love to use it.

I believe they will be improving Fleksy, but I got 2 great tips from another that help with it: 1. Put it on your shortcut clock to get to it quicker. 2. Take your most called/Texted contacts and add asterisks ** to the beginning of them, so that they come to the top of the Contact list. This way you can find them quickly to get to the threads.
fleksy problema instalación
I have a problem in my S4 fleksy install gt i9500 with samy deluxe installed .... all well until after down and take the first step in installation error installation tells me I have tried everything and nothing anyone could help me with this problem ...
I like it!

#2 - isn't that what "favorites" is for in the phone contacts? Even Samsung gives an option to show favorites instead of all contacts on the watch - they should do that instead of forcing people to do that workaround.
It's so much better now with that update
so, how do we add a period to a sentence? sometimes the word prediction guesses the wrong word, any way around that?

i figured it out another way... swipe (left to right) on the center row of letters and it'll put a period. double tapping the space bar works too
No either

It's my favourite app. Keep up the good work
These posts gave me some ideas, so I decided to try stuff out.
I found that if you are at the end of a word and you swipe down it will cycle between different words that are similar.
If you insert a period, and then swipe down it will cycle through punctuation marks!
Is your life a succession of repetitive tasks that run one after another and you fear forgetting one?
Do you have to make a cooking recipe and you're sick of having to generate a countdown in your clock app every time you start one of the subtasks?
I make my own bread at home and the first kneading is a task that lasts about 80 minutes: "knead for 5 minutes, wait 20 minutes for the time to act and the dough to take consistency and repeat up to 4 times"...
It is a very repetitive task and many times it has happened to me that I forgot to program the next timer.
To facilitate that kind of tasks and not forgetting me again, I decided to develop Countdown + and today I put it at your disposal...
With Countdown+ you can create all the countdowns you want and assign each of them an begin text, a done text, a runtime and an order of execution, so that they all run in sequence ...
In addition, from the task bar you can pause a countdown, assign more time and much more!
Please, report issues and request for additions here.
Thanks

I'm really a bit hallucinated, or rather sore.
After the review of XDA the app has been downloaded less than 200 times, which does not surprise me because it is not the type of app that most XDA users love, but the fact is that I received 5 ratings, 3 of them from 1 star apparently for privacy concerns.
Is it that nobody stops to think about the hours that must be dedicated to the development of an application?
Is it that nobody stops to think that the laws forces to indicate the use made of the data before the first use and that it is precisely the apps that are not indicating it by those that act badly?
Is it that nobody stops to think that sometimes generic statements are made but that it is not possible to access contacts, calendar, calls, etc. if explicit permission is not asked for it?
Does anyone really think?
Sorry for the roll, but it's all very frustrating!
This app is exactly what I've needed in my hectic life!
I've tried other apps only to find myself using them here and there. But this one is spot on!
I left a solid review on the Play Store for you mate!
Great job!
Cheers
