hey yall i was wonderin if it was just me i am running the july ver of the tael rom and i had noticed that the other day the tiwtter tab quit working in fact it had said that "access to the server from this account was forbidden" so @ first i was thinking it got hacked but everyelse works just not the tab has anyone else had this issue? if so how did you resolve the issue?

Same problem here.... Any fix for it?
i read in several places a few days ago that this is due to some changes they did in their API. it will also be like this for sometime.
yeah, Twitter changed the way apps react with their service, and unfortunately, HTC Peep no longer works. Which sucks. The prob happened the exact same day i finally got my HTC Fuze
~Des
Same is Happening for me, i was wondering why i wasn't getting any updates
HTC SAYS the problem's resolved on their Twitter feed, but I'm still getting UN/PASS errors.
the upside
Look on the bright side: now you can say "twitter doesn't work on my phone, sorry" instead of "twitter is so superficial as to break the entire purpose of human communication and therefore I won't use it, you twit." Your hipster friends will be bummed, but now you don't have to pretend you care to read their inane midday thoughts!
i had noticed that TWITTER WORKS TODAY!!!! WHOOO HOOO I CAN GET MY NEWS FEEDZ ^_^ SOOO HAPPYYY!!!.......ahem.....sorry...

Hi friends,
"Beautiful Widgets" was one of the first paid apps I bought for my x10. I LOVED it! It brought a whole new vision and style to my phone, what with the many clock themes and weather styles.
But recently, it's been AWFUL... plagued with bugs and force-close issues and time freezing. I even have been late for an appointment because the bloody time was stuck an hour behind and I didn't notice!
And now, the geolocation option is messed up too... it used to work fine but it tells me I'm somewhere I'm not. I went across town today and it told me I was somewhere I'd never even heard of.
I've e-mailed the dev but had no response, and from looking at the comments on the Android Market, I'm not alone on this one.
I just wondered if there is anyone who ISN'T having issues with it? I kinda wish I'd not updated it but a couple of weeks ago there were updates every couple of days. It's a shame because it worked great for me before the mass-update thing but I have no idea which version it was at before it went horribly wrong.
It was partly due to recommendations from this site that made me look at BW in the first place so I thought I'd start a discussion to see what experiences anyone else is having, or if anyone has found a way to get around this madness!
Mine works fine
It's fine for me too. The 3.xx version us really great, with accuweather.
For me, the best widget pack, and made by à french guy
Sent from my ROOTED X10i using tapatalk pro
Works fine for me too. I take it you've tried uninstalling and reinstalling?
I think most problems you and many others are referring to surfaced from version 3 onwards. Your best bet is to find 2.99 and see how you get on with that.
(PM me if you cant find it )
mine is all good too, couldnt live without it.
I was having problems too until i read that 3.xx needs to have a clean instal... did u install the 2.99 version and reinstall 3.06? I think that should remedy some problems like time and proper weather with accuweather. Something to do with different way to access database.
Hope this helps
Thanks for the tips. I do have some backups but I only seem to have 2.82...
I have tried to uninstall and reinstall but it didn't make any difference. I'm wondering if there are data files somewhere that failed to uninstall that are causing problems.
I'll have another go at it... MarylandCookie, thanks for the help, I may be in touch about that 2.99 version if this fails!
This has taught me one thing though... don't update apps instantly if you're happy with how they've been working. MUST make backups first! The only reason I stopped doing that is because I've been running out of space on my memory card with all the music and media I've been storing on there.
Thanks for the tips, I'll see what happens after further fiddling...
Here's an update:
Uninstalled -> Reinstalled from Market.
Same probs with geolocation. Can't be bothered waiting to see if time freezes again; could happen any time.
Uninstalled. Found /sdcard/data/beautifulwidgets folder. Just thought "sod it" and deleted the lot, even though it means downloading my fave themes again.
Reinstalled... and...
Geolocation still way off. NUTS. If anyone has any further advice please let me know!
Maybe you should just not use geolocation and hope the issue is remedied in future updates. I personally aren't having any problems either, maybe everyone else (including me) aren't using the geolocation option? why not just type in your location and save it?
And isn't it just constant rain in England anyways?? lol
i use Geo Location, out of interest are your settings on your handset to allow location by wireless networks or by GPS with Assisted? or all of them?
I tried it with combinations of settings, and in the older versions it's always been accurate, no matter what the settings are.
I'm in a different place every day with my work and I loved that the Geolocation feature was accurate before. Now it tells me I'm at places I'm not at, I find it annoying.
But yeah, it should just say "England: Wet & miserable. Wherever you are."
I've uninstalled it now and gone back to the stock clock. At least I know it keeps the time well...
For example, last Saturday, club I go to shuts at about 2:30am... I checked clock and it said it was about 12:30am... within 20 minutes the lights came on, chucking out time. BLOODY ANNOYING! Yeah I'd been drinking so that doesn't help but I bought that app for the pretty clocks and if I can't trust it, and the dev is unresponsive, then I just give up, to be honest! Just feel a bit ripped off now. I officially give up. For now.
Perhaps he'll fix it some day but it went from updates every few minutes to nothing for about a week. I think he's had enough!
I find the geolocation now to be more accurate for my location at home, although it doesnt seem to update when it should. I went to somewhere 50miles from home at the weekend and the location didnt change once.
Love the app though
Did you try version 2.999?
Ah. I don't have it yet... did you PM me? I must have missed it. Nuts, as I was about to go out too... oh hang on... I've got a smartphone and I'm gonna use it!
Ah... I now have 2.999 and can confirm it works GREAT! Location is spot on, time working okay so far, weather looks good... thanks!
Gods knows why the dev fiddled with it so much after this version... thanks so much for the help!
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
Yeah, I sporadically get the same problem. Before v3 I had to make sure there was no space in the location i.e. city, country. Geolocation would put me on the other side of the planet. It's got better now, but time still freezes sporadically.
New update available seems to have sorted out the geolocation issues for me
Yeah, it's typical... just as I was happy with 2.999, all working GREAT (thanks to you-know-who-you-are!) I noticed 3.72 was available so I thought I'd give it a try and it seems MUCH better now.
Typical, as soon as I find an alternative solution the dev finally sorts out what has been driving me nuts for ages!
So it's Beautiful again, and the weather seems to be more accurate too... at the moment... not going to upgrade again in a hurry and may check out how much it soaks up the battery compared to 2.999.
Thanks again for the help and advice.
Honestly, I have to completely disagree.
I have never had a problem with BW since I bought it the first time.
Locator works fine, the weather is generally accurate, and no problem with the time. Granted I live in a large city, so no problems locating, but still. no problems at all. With previous versions or new updates.
Hello Guys,
please help me... it has been 3 days that my Social Hub (Samsung Email) keep asking me to relogin for my 2 Yahoo Mail Account which is never before, everytime i relogin in about 15 minutes it keeps telling me to Re-Relogin it's killing me... do you have any idea why this happen??? how do i fix it
im using Galaxy S GT-I9000 Froyo
Indonesia
Thanks in Advance
this has been happening to me also. it has drivin me crazy. i've reset countless times. flashed firmware approx 12 times. wiped dalvik, battery stats, caches and everything in between, barely had enough left to wipe my own ass. in short this sucks and has almost led me to give up on the sgs.
i do love this phone though so i'm in search for the answer as well.
i've tried about 20 different apn's, no luck.
one thing i have noticed, right before the 'event' the phone does something like a wake-up or a soft reset, i know this because the 'no-led' app suddenly does a toast message saying that it is on. this never used to happen. the no-led app is not the cause though, as i've had the relogin's happen when i've done a fresh install of froyo, and have installed social hub (samsung email) before anything else so it can't be the cause.
i would really love to be able to fix this as well.
help requested from all the seniors...
i've also tried every product code as well with xxjpy 2.2.1, i even tried installing XWJS3, same thing happened. this never used to happen, in fact i was using jpy for almost 2 months with no problem.
big help requested. i feel your pain..
samsung social hub login problem
I too have had the same problem. I have froyo and have rebooted twice and reinstallled the new social hub premium, even sent email to samsung support (no reply as yet) I am with Optus and its driving me nuts too have to relogin all the time. I have installed K9 email software which is good and the normal email green icon installed on phone works ok with both hotmail and gmail accounts. I know its a software glitch so I hope samsung can help as there customer service centre is as helpful as dead rat.
Me too
Guys
I've got the same problem and Samsung have nil f...kn clue how to fix it. Social hub has been great for 6 months, now this.
I'll ring em again tomorrow!
Same here...
I am reluctant to change to other email apps though...
Wonder what to do...

Social Hub Issue
This issue has plagued me for over 3 months now and on two different handsets.
Samsung are full of the usual "read off the sheet" responses that offer No Service and No Help.
Thank goodness they employ No Brained staff or else they would get bored reading the same garbage to you over and over.
When you consider that the ONLY way to read your email in HTML on the Galaxy is to use the Samsung Email this service is totally pathetic.
My solution is to inform my carrier (Optus) of the situation and demand handset replacements which my lawyer has informed me they are obligated to give. When you consider that the HTC Desire HD will be on general supply within three weeks (Vodaphone exclusivity is nearing the end) and that Optus will be offering it, this seems to be the best course of action.

Does any body have a problem with sending attachements?
Mine sais it canot send attachements biger then 0.00B.
Can any body help me?
I have owned the sensation for 3 weeks and have had random problems that most have reported. Screen responsiveness, occassional connection problems, lag, unable to spin the carousel, and other little issues. I exchanged my first Sensation and now having the same issues with this one.
I was doing some thinking and after reading a zillion forums decided to try something. I downloaded the stock rom (ruu file) and reinstalled the rom file. I did not enter my google info during set-up. I went into privacy settings and unchecked back-up and restore options. I then entered my google account only.
So far my phone is running MUCH BETTER and VERY responsive. I can carousel EASILY!!!! It's like a new phone. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!!
I have not added any apps OR any other type of social networking stuff. And I also shut-off that Tmobile contact sync.
Might be worth a shot for some of you.....
I will update this thread and let all of you know how its working.....
I told people about this when I first git the phone but everyone was like....."how would that effect anything". It does because I've done this on 4 different Sensations and all of them ran slower after it loaded all of my settings automatically. On each of them, I disabled the restore settings feature and imputed my Google info after disabling this and every phone was more responsive. I don't understand why but I'm glad someone else noticed it.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA Premium App
I think that most of the problems that people are reporting with the Sensation are software problems. It seems as the phones get faster they also get much more complicated and in my opinion, the manufactures are pushing out phones before the software has been fully tested and evaluated IN THE REAL WORLD!!!
They seem to lose sight that quality is MORE important then a deadline. If you can't do it right...don't do it!!!!
But instead they hype us up with slick marketing and make us go crazy buying their phones that are not ready to be released. Then we exchange/return until the buyers remorse period has passed and then we are stuck with a device that does not live up to the nearly $600 that we paid. Yes WE ALL PAY FOR IT.....if you think that you paid $148 for your Sensation,,,, please look at your MONTHLY bill.
It's not just HTC or Tmobile. It's Apple, MS, LG, ATT, Verizon, etc.....
Im very confident that the Sensation will eventually work as designed and marketed....I just hate that I'm a sucker!!!! I'm an early adopter and this is the price I pay because I have no patience!!!
Now that I ranted...try the rom reinstall so far my phone works flawlessly. As I have said before...its like I have a new phone....the Sensation 2....

Interesting.
I didn't think about turning those off.
Tried it...seems to improve things a bit.
Good thing you didn't title your thread..."I Think I *May* Have Discovered Something".
I've re-installed with the ruu multiple times and it didnt fix anything, no improvement. I've had 4 sensations, first 3 had the touchscreen issue, the 4th i'm only 2 days in and it hasn't messed up yet, its about time though. There are a hundred different things people have done to temporarily fix their problems, most aren't reproducible. Thats what is so strange about this phone. I've had the touchscreen become responsive like new a few times, just like others, and we are always trying to figure out what we did to make it work. I think its a coincidence when it starts working, thats why there are sooo many different posted solutions.. (only talking about touchscreen issues here)
hmmmm.....How did you re-install? via PC or from SD card?

Hmmm.... Why get a smartphone then?
Hope it works for you mate, but I can bet that touch screen issue will be back.
Im trying to see if any of the problems would return while the phone was completely stock. I kept it app free for 24 hours and it has worked great...no problems.
I just added a bunch of apps late last night and so far it has continued to run great. I will keep testing and adding more until I get back to the way I normally use my phone.
So far...i can spin the carousel very easily, screen is still responsive, no connection issues as of yet, and my battery has lasted over 24 hours and it still has over 50% of its charge!!
No social networking yet...I usually have Facebook, Twitter, and recently google+. I'm saving those for last since I suspect those might be some of the problem.
I did add all of my email accounts and my exchange account. So far it's still great!
When you say reinstall do you mean do a factory reset?
I downloaded the stock Rom and flashed via my pc. Took about 5 or 10th minutes. So far it has worked for me. It's been 48 hours and I have not had a return of any of the problems I had before.

Yes, i used this RUU_Pyramid_TMOUS_1.29.531.2_Radio_10.42.9007.00P_10.11.9007.15_M_release_193714_signed from my computer. I've also done factory reset from recovery as well as from Settings, SD & Phone storage--Factor data reset. All appear to look like the exact same state as when new, just unboxed. I would think that if it was a software issue that one of those methods would fix it everytime, since it worked wonderfully when new in that same configuration.
But when you look at it another way ..If it was Hardware, why wouldnt it do it as soon as you turn it on, brand new? Why does it take a few days? So far this 4th phone has ran longer than the others, no problems yet. It's loaded with tons of software and no bloat removal and its still the fastest phone ive ever used. Damn i hope it stays that way...
This is my last attempt to fix these issues. All three phones, my two and my wifes sensation, all have the death grip issue. And that alone is a very big design flaw. I can kill WiFi with just place my finger along the back top edge of the phone. It really becomes a problem watching videos. As soon as hold the phone on the WiFi antenna side, WiFi drops.
Thinking of returning and getting the mytouch 4g slide. Basically same specs just smaller screen.

I sometimes see mail arrive at my Gmail Apps account and it doesn't get delivered to the phone for more than an hour. Nomally it's pretty much "push". Is this just 'how it works'? :-(
Stock T-Mobile UK ROM: 1.47.110.3
Connected via WiFi (good signal and on 30Mbps cable connection)
Using stock GMail (not HTC) app on the phone
Hmm can't say I've any probs ...they mostly hit my phone before the PC even notifies me of them

although I'm on a lower build than you (1.36), although should be moving up soon.

Ah. Was on 2.3.4.1, having updated it from the market a while back, Market 'forgot' to tell me there was a further update. Gawd this phone is soooo unreliable in sooo many areas. I just never know what's going to stop working next requiring another restart. All-time longest uptime before requiring a restart to fox something or other I've discovered by accident isn't working properly is a little over 5 days. Complete poo, not really fit for purpose IMHO, and big mistake I'm now stuck with :-(
Anyway, thanks, will try that and thanks for the pointer

Either you have a massive dud unit, or it's about time that you took the chance and moved to a custom ROM.
I've has this phone since April and have the exact opposite opinion! I've used LBC Mod since it was first available after I S-OFF'd and rooted my phone, I have tried the other ROMS all of which offer different things, depending on what you're looking for, but, for me coming from a WM Sense background I'm very happy with a "working" close to stock ROM that's stable reliable and ideal for daily use.
I'm also on T-mobile UK. Happy to point you in the right direction - if needed.

Really, trolling? I have a genuine problem and got some genuinely good advice that may lead to solving it. Good on this forum!
... and I genuinely feel like hitting this phone with a hammer once in a while. So that comment was an attempt at some humour to lighten the mood. Sorry you were not amused.
I do find it interesting when some people find it offending in some way when someone is negative about their fav product - that's the whole "Apple fanboy" mentality isn't it? In another thread entiled "Lucky to have the Desire S" others have said I've just been very unluckly with this phone - and maybe that's the case...
When one has a problem, simply think OH NOTHING CAN BE DONE TO SOLVE MY PROBLEM, STORY OF MY LIFE, WHAT A WORLD, NOTHING EEEEHHHH-VERRRR GOES RIGHT FOR ME.
When some simple steps and questions could be bring upon the holy grail.
1. When was the last time my application was working properly?
2. What has changed since said period of time the email was working properly?
3. Is there a way I can go back to said period of configuration and see if it will work efficiently?
3a. After reverting back to said period of time, has this resolved my problem?
4. Is it a software modification that was made that could be causing this problem?
5. Is it a external source that could be causing my problem?
6. Is it a network issue with my service provider?
7. Is it a issue with my modem that I am connecting to?
The list could go on and on, but my eyes are rather dry, and I need to do a few things for tomorrow.
Hello all,
Just bought a the 7.0 Plus tonight and am already having some issues. Out of the box, I was having problems with it dropping wifi connection. I was in range and it showed signal, but the only way to get internet connection with it was to cycle the wifi on to off. Its probably happened 4 to 5 times already in my first night.
Anyways, I used it until the battery was near dead and then plugged in to charge. Now the market place will not load. I get an error saying "No Connection". Cycled it off then back on, nothing. Deleted my google account thinking maybe re-sinc the account and I'll get it back. Now, I can't even get the google account back on it. It only says an error something along the lines of failed to establish a connection. Facebook app, nothing. Picasa web albums, nothing. More or less all the apps that need a connection, nothing. The only exception to this is I can go all over the internet all I want. I am getting a "Security Warning" saying "There are problems with the security certificate for this site". I get this on more or less every site I visit.
I am fairly baffled. Rooted Evo's, GSII's, ect. This is my first tablet though. Only thing search turned up was off a Thrive tablet someone did a full factory reset and got it all back. I'm thinking that might work for me, but its not even a day old and for the price these 7.0 Plus' cost it shouldn't be doing this. Should I be looking to exchange it for another? Maybe I just got a bad one. I'm close to just swapping for an Acer A100. I wanted the 7.0 Plus for the newer hardware because I tend to keep them for a while, but dang this is not working well. Oh, its fairly laggy too. I mean, my original 2 year old Evo on CM7 with a Tiamat kernal isn't this laggy. Its actually smooth, lol.
Sorry for the book I just wrote too. Just fairly upset at this point and looking for help.
Download samsung kies on a pc and update the tab
I tried that, but it didn't help. I forgot to mention I have Kies installed an updated everything when I first started it up.
I returned it. Not willing to deal with features that don't work as well as they should, wifi dropping, and issues out of the box. I'll probably just pick up an A100, but who knows. I also just got a Galaxy Nexus so that'll keep me busy for a bit.
Hello,
I realize this thread is almost a year old, but has anyone else had this connectivity issue with their Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus? I have the Wifi Only tablet (GT-P6210) and this is the second time for me to have an issue similar to what Bill3753 posted above. The first time this occurred I did a factory reset and the problem was resolved. I really don't want to do that again and mess with having to reload all my documents and downloading all of my apps again.
So, after almost a year does anyone know a fix for this issue? Or can someone share a link to the right info?
Thanks in advance!

Ok my problem is fixed now! The problem was with my Google account. I removed it from the tablet and then tried to add the account again. I kept getting an error that said "can not establish reliable connection" and after doing a search for the 50th time I came across a post that said make sure date and time are correct. I changed my date and time, then tried to log in and it worked that time! Now my Play store is connected fine and the browser doesn't constantly give a certificate warning message.
Hope this saves someone else a headache.
