You will have to exchange your phone I did this yesterday as soon as I got root I did the Pixel Density to 200 rebooted to Black Screen and only the home keys lite up. I tried wipe and battery pull no luck So I went back to sprint store and told them I restarted phone came back as a BLACK screen, they replaced it right away.
DO NOT USE PIXEL DENSITY ON EPIC 4G until CUSTOM RECOVERY and NAND are available

Did you guys just try getting rid of the app using adb? Sounds like something worth trying before returning the device!

I just bought and htc touch pro for cheap because it has a black screen. Everything else works like calling out and receiving calls. It had been dropped. I have done some searching on the net and I might have to replace the screen but I read a couple of places that a hard reset might work. So of coarse I'm wanting to try the hard reset before I put the money into the phone to replace the screen. So my question is can I do a hard reset on this phone and it stay flashed for cricket or will I have to have it flashed again?
Thanks!
If it has a custom rom on it right now, usually it needs user input to allow the phone to set its self up for the detected carrier. From what I remember (haven't had a stock rom in a long time) If the rom that is on the phone is the stock one that cricket our any other carrier provided it should be set up once the customization is complete. But I'm not 100% sure on that.

Once flashed always flashed until you reflash it. So go ahead and Hard reset. the rom will not be touched.
Recently have been using the CM10 Jellybean ROM until the ROM manager update ruined my music and galleries. In any case I found it a a little laggy and buggy for the time being. I decided to restore from CMW back to my previous rascream and after reboot, got the Google screen bootloop. I had the battery pull to stop it but after one battery pull, the Nexus S no longer turns on. Plugging into the charger, nothing shows up. I have tried to pull battery again and enter recovery mode but nothing's happening.
Have I properly borked it?
- battery was fully charged at the time
- using clockwordmod 5.0.1.4 (old)
- i9023
Can you still boot into fastboot? You should still be okay if you can at least get there.
These phones are very hard to brick. I'd there any lights at all?

thanks for the replies.
I can't get into anything on the phone. Pressing any combination of buttons doesn't light soft keys nor screen up. Also charging the phone for periods doesn't heat up the battery like some others have had.
I've put linux onto one of my old computer and tried the software AdamOutler mod to no avail. Both the Mode detector and Unbrickresurrector don't recognise my phone....
If you have the Problem with the gallery, you simply have to clear the Cache and Dalvik cache.....
=> Next time ? ,-)
No response at all.....I believe your last chance is JTAG.
hmmmm....... my last resort was to take it to a repairer and see what they think. Hopefully they can get it to power on and then I can sort out the rest.

Just an update on this. I returned my phone to warranty to be fixed. According to the repair notes, there seemed to be a problem with the board (not software related) thus was replaced. It also says in the warranty notes that the i9023 has quite a few of these board related problems.
Anyway, got Jellybean running OTA from Vodafone and it's working fine.
So I just picked up this phone from the store about an hour ago and after I got home I received one update, everything went well and the phone booted up just fine. Just a few minutes after booting up I received another notification for a firmware update (128mb or close to that size), after the update installed the phone hasnt successfully booted up past the red Verizon screen at all. Has anyone had this issue before? I was able to boot into recovery and do a factory reset but Im still stuck at the Verizon screen been over 20+ min. Im wondering if it was a bad update package but if I can resolve this without going all the way back to Verizon to get another new phone that would be great, because this is clearly a defect that is NOT my fault.
Try putting on charger maybe for full charge

Even me, I'll just do the same rather thinking what to do with the phone. :fingers-crossed::good:
Hello,
I have an HTC U11, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage and for unknown reason it displays this message: Android System.UI has stoppedn working. I tried factory restet, I cleared cache partition, I installed a new kernel (cleanslate). It comes back to normal after I reboot the device (I cannot do anything on it because nothing will work)
Hello, I'm experiencing the same error. I thought it's from some app that I installed but it's not. It does crash about at least once a day. The screen just blinks on and off in the lock screen if I try to turn it on.
The only solution is to soft reset it.

Same here, can't find the reason and only restart can fix it until the next crash... Spooky!?

Maybe you have damaged phones? I know that when my phone fell on the top left edge and screen cracked, also SIM was affected. It works but only without PIN code. If I have pin code I get system UI errors, cannot use the device at all.

Same issue here, occurs one in a week, since I realize hard reset, not happen again.
Simply can't unlocked the phone, lock screen blinks, and the only solution is soft reset, I hope this not happen again.
Hi,
I have the same issue - it's been happening once a week for a few months now - the screen is blinking and the only way to "fix" it (temporarily) is to [soft] reset the phone. The error I get (when I can see it) is what the OP mentioned.
I too thought that it might be one of my apps but it's been happening even after I disabled a few apps.
I haven't ever dropped my phone...
Could it be a hardware issue (my phone is still under warranty with my company)?
Has anybody tried a hard reset?
Cheers

Hello Gents.
Last night I was transferring some tunes onto my G7 Power.
I played with a toggle or two in Dev Options, now its looping
I get to the unlock screen, put in my unlock code then it goes to the home screen, which remains unpopulated. I cant doo anything , then it reboots.
I had this issue once before but I dont remember what/how I fixed it. Anyone have a solution?
TIA

I believe changing the
Default USB Configuration
Will cause some Motorola phones to boot loop.
I'm not sure if this device also has this problem.
I think reflashing the firmware and a factory reset was the only way to fix it.

Thankyou for the info.
I did notice that it restarted "normally" when it was plugged into my desktop. But I didnt make the connection, no pun intended.
Hmm yes I think I toggled the USB options from default to mtp. IIRC its not the first time I did that... Lesson learned.
I ended up doing a factory reset via recovery, as I was on a boat and going to be travelling for 5 days. I >NEEDED< my phone to work (gps). I am ditching my LGG4. I looses gps signal standing in a field....The G4 while can be rooted and unlocked now, still requires some finesse. Plus the camera overheats...Time to let all 3 of them go. The G7 power is a great "budget" phone. The only and I mean the only thing I wish it could do was 4K timelapse at 120x. I use GCam for 120x but only at 1080...
