Hello,

To install Cyanogen on my phone I first try to do this tutorial: post id 442480
But on the step "Preparing to Get Root on your Phone" when I restart my phone with hold the Camera button it say:

I have tried numerous times to load the i-mate_SP5_WWE_2.5.331.2.exe
rom. But I still haven't been succesful.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Here are my specs:
On the System Information screen:
- ROM Version 1.0.4.0
- Operator Version 1.5.331.4
On the About screen:
- OS 5.1.7.0 (Build 14402.1.1.0)
- Radio Version 4.0.13.25_01.14.00
- RIL Version 2.002
- ROM Update Version: <empty>
- Operator: 5.1.70.14402
- Manfucterer: 5.1.70.14402
- Microsoft: 5.1.70.14402
- Language: 5.1.70.14402
- File System: 5.1.70.14402
Bootloader version: IPL 2.00 SPL 2.00.0008
The i-mate_SP5_WWE_2.5.331.2.exe installs succesfully according to the installer, but when it reaches 100% the device reboots, then boots up starts the cold boot config, reboots and I have a new clean OS, but with the old versions (see above).
Does anyone have any clue how to properly upgrade my rom?
I tried several things:
- Upgrade from the bootloader (power on while holding camera button)
- Pull out the battery when the installation is done
All with the same results.
Thanks,
Dennis
Try to change your CID to SuperCID
See here how to do that: http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=240179&hl=supercid

Have you tried a wipe?
You installed the ADP1 version of 1.41 by mistake. The RC33 version reports the following fingerprint:
Code:
kila-user 1.1 PLAT-RC33 126986 ota-rel-keys,release-keys
Also, you might wanna update your radio too.
Hi, being an almost total novice i need a little help!
I seem to have hit a brick wall while attemping to de-brand my UK Vodaphone branded HTC Legend!
I just tried with two with different goldcards and three different ROM files (thats six seperate attempts)
each time it failed the same way: ERROR [140]: BOOTLOADER VERSION ERROR
If anyone can offer any advice I would be very gratefull - I really need to get rid of all the Vodaphone bloatware that doesnt even work properly.
BTW - I made a new Goldcard each time but can a goldcard be used more than once?
I created a goldcard using a 2gb MicroSD card made by Kingston and i followed the process at:
How To: Create a Goldcard | TheUnlockr
I downloaded file:
RUU_Legend_HTC_WWE_2.03.405.3_Radio_47.39.35.09_7. 08.35.21_release_130330_signed.exe from Index of /shipped/Legend/
I turned my phone on with the goldcard inserted and connected my phone to my PC with the USB cable and ran the RUU - Result =
ERROR [140]: BOOTLOADER VERSION ERROR
Here are all the numbers from my HTC Legend
Information from: Menu -> Settings -? About Phone -> Software Information

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
So far I have tried to load the following RUU files - they all failed with the same error!

I guess I am missing something, can anyone point me in the right direction?
So I had accidentally flashed a T-Mobile radio to my Sprint device. I got it back on a Sense ROM and flashed via RUU the stock rooted firmware. Everything was going great. Fastboot reboot and a black screen. No response from any buttons. No charging light-NADA NOTHING ZIP ZILCH Device not recognized by windows now. Is showing up on my device manager as a QHSUB_BULK and makes my computer see it for about 3 seconds then it is not visible to windows then just keeps repeating this over and over and over... Is this able to be fixed or is it a nice expensive paper weight to add to my collection? ( I probably have at least 30 phone bricked, broken, destroyed and one that caught fire LOL) I have read a few posts pointing at a bad motherboard? If this is the case where can I get one for not the same price as a new phone? If this can be fixed, any one know how? Maybe later I will post my Cell phone JUNKYARD of Used and scrapped phone parts. LOL I even have old motorola Huge back pack stuff from when A cell phone and service cost as much as a economy car and weighed about the same. Basically a Army Radio for the rich. We sure have come a long way. Oh I forgot its a HK if that makes a diffrence?

This is my phone info (taken from EFS Professional). I installed shortcut master and went in radio settings. It says GSM service : Emergency calls only. I tried hard reseting / apn change / mobile network automatic and manuall search but nothing shows. Changed from GSM to all i had in radio settings ( like GSM only / GSM auto PRL / etc etc) and nothing happened. I dont know what is wrong with this phone. IMEI is the same as the back cover.
Any suggestion please is highly appriciated
Try to reinstall stock firmware using KIES.
There is no fear for wrong firmware download since download perform by KIES.
However in my case, KIES2 asking S/N, not IMEI. On video he is using KIES3. Of course, you need active internet connection.
You can find imei & S/N under battery.
