Yes i have posted this in the Topaz forum and got no replies so i thought i may get more answers here
Im not new to flashing, upgrading, modifying my phone
I have searched prior to posting my problem.
Heres whats wrong, basically my phone is stuck on the boot screen after flashing NhatHoa 7.0..I have the latest HARDSPL on the device, connecting the device to the USB cable does nothing, no light to indicate charging nor no connection to active sync.
So i tried to flash from SD card, formatted my 8Gb card, renamed custom rom to TOPAIMG.nbh, went into bootloader, followed the on screen instructions and still nothing (like it doesnt even recognize the SD Card)
I then tried a 2Gb SD Card, formatted using FAT32, copied the nbh over, did exactly as above, again nothing.
I have searched, tried many of things which should work but nothing.
I cant have bricked my device because i can still enter boot loader and see the boot screen, but thats it.
Any Ideas??
Regards, Wez
edit
Ok so i just bought a 1Gb SD Card and still it doesnt read the card, im officially clueless now as to what i can do..i have formatted the card in every possible way NTFS, FAT, FAT32, even changed the allocation size which again did nothing.
I also downloaded a rom were it was already name TOPAIMG.nbh just incase there was something in the file attributes which were different and again nothing.
IF anybody has any solutions please, let me know.
Update
If this is important or usefull the device does charge when switched off, i can enter bootloader and i can switch the phone on in which it gets stuck on the 'Touch Diamond 2' screen

My universal was upgraded from tomal (ranju) 7.7 rom to the 8.2 and now im stuck on the boot screen and cannot go to bootloader mode because my power button is broken, so now what? im assuming im screw'd. right?.. anyone?
Also, what is kitl mode? can that help me?
Doh, got it all wrong. Try http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Uni_Stuck_Bootloader but I had success just getting the PC recognizing the device and re-flashing the ROM. The bootloader screen appeared at some point during the flash.
Thanks for the reply. The problem is that i cannot connect to activesync because my universal is stuck on the screen where it shows you the rom and radio. I can use my memory stick to load any files via my sd card port on my laptop but i cannot connect my uni to activesync since its stuck on the splash screen. If i need a specific file to boot my uni straight to bootloader boot when the phone boots up via the sd card i can do that. Any suggestions?
-UPDATE- Oh wow once i got back to the reply i saw your correction...lolz. ill try that.. thanks X-D
Ok, try hard resetting or a soft reset first. Well, you probably already tried, but nevertheless... DON'T PANIC!
How broken is your power button?
oh its broken...off the motherboard need to be soldered broken.lolz.. i tried the method you said and it doesnt work =-(.. Is there any file for windows mobile that you can put on the external memory card such as the sd for the uni so that it can force the phone to bootloader as soon as the phone boots?
-Edit: it seems like the only way i can fix this problem is if someone backs up their rom to their memory stick and sends it to me some sort of way so that i can put it on my memory stick and do tomals sd upgrade and hope that it re-updates it.. =-(

The only file you can use is called Enter Bootloader, it comes with a standard ROM upgrade folder, I recommended it at first, but then realized you won't be able to access it from your Uni, seeing you are stuck. There is a ROM upgrade from SD thread somewhere, it can be done, but not if you are stuck, it's for the broken USB ports.
mtty?
Mtty no good because it doesnt pick up the phone via usb
Have you tried the below method on wiki
Method 2
Steps
download the tool
disconnect USB cable from your device
disable USB connection in ActiveSync
reconnect USB cable
wait some 30 seconds
run the tool
If successful, device will boot itself.
**MY PHONE IS NOW WORKING***
Hey guys,
I am going to start by saying that I have read almost every single sticky, thread, wiki and anything else I could get my grubby hands on to try and solve my problem; but I fear I may have missed something, or done it wrong.
Now to my problem. My friend who had the same phone as me did a HardSPL flash a long time ago and gave me some new ROM. It worked for awhile but wasn't great so we changed to a different ROM. After awhile I got sick of this one and all of its bugs so about 3 days ago we got some with windows 6.5; unfortunately something happened; causing it to be highly unstable, so we switched AGAIN.
Now to my problem. It will not boot. If I just let it boot without doing anything *or if I hit keys* it goes to an hTc TyTn2 screen with the R; G; and D displayed. I tried to flash it via Micro sd card but all I get is a white screen with blue "loading..." and nothing; it will sit there indefinitely. I have been following cmonex's instructions to a "T" and I am stuck. I attempted to do the USB route and the phone will display the tri-colors and say USB, but my computer *Vista* isn't seeing the phone. I tried different USB ports etc. and nothing. Please let me know what you guys think; anything would be greatly appreciated.

I would recommend down-grading to xp. But if you can't try to explore the drive as a removable driver
Are you sure when you flashed it via MicroSD you had only one file named KAISIMG.nbh on the card?
This happened to me about a month ago, if it's still going to bootloader there is a good chance you can recover but the process is a bit intricate, especially to a newcomer like myself. I spent more time reading on how to fix this issue than I did on the entire process of flashing roms, mtty specifically. These are the threads I used to get running again, don't lose hope. I assure you the your answer is there.

I am sure. I even reformatted the sd card to a FAT32. It goes to a loading screen then freezes. I can also get it into the tri-color screen and have it say USB at the bottom, but when I try and flash it via USB; for some reason it starts at 0% and then crashes.
I am able to work with it in MTTY and I had to use a Task 8 command for anything to happen. I was told my friend already did a HARDSPL; is it possible that this was deleted/ corrupted?
Put your phone in bootloader mode what does it say?
Have you tried a Hard Reset yet?

hey everyone, My phone is temporarily working at this point!!!
My new question is, how do I know if my friend really put a HardSPL on my cell the first time. I know that one way to tell was through MTTY and boot command, but my cell didn't respond to that. My friend said he put a HardSPL on; would doing it again hurt anything?

Put your phone in bootloader mode and if it says "hard" next to "SPL:" it's got a hrd SPL version.

I am trying to flash a HardSPL to my phone; the computer see's the device but will not allow me to copy any files to it. When I go though the sync center, it begins to connect then says error. What should I do?

Try copying them via the SD card using a card reader if you have one.
Ta
Dave
tryd that, all it does is say loading and pretty much stays there indefinately.
Right, lets take a step back...
You don't have Hard SPL at the moment?
If not, the best guide for flashing Hard SPL is here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=433835
Follow through what mskip advises and let me know if you get stuck and at what point.

I get stuck at the very first step were you are supposed to copy the 3 different JumpSPL files. I even tried copying a word document and it said "the file Reference could not be copied. It may not exist or cannot be transferred."
My computer can access the phone, but I cannot transfer anything to its memory. I also tryed copying it to the sd card while it is in the phone and it gives me the same error. Active sync whont work either, just keeps saying error.

Try deleting and re-creating the partnership... Do you have Office installed, this might stop if working.
Do you have a Card Reader, put the card in there and put the files on the card that way.
Failing that MyMoblier let's you copy files, I think it works differently to AS.
Dave
i have deleted the partnership and created a new one, and it doesnt work. As for mymobiler; the website will not load for me on either my desktop or laptop.
one thing i just tryed which was interesting was to load the 3 JumpSPL files onto the sdCard and then copy them to the phone's main memory. It wouldnt allow me to do this. How do I remove the read/write protection on the phone?

did you ask this question in those threads? i just searched all your posts and im not seeing where you asked in those threads before you started a new thread.
didn't see where you tried to flash stock rom either, i recommend trying to flash it, and flash stock before you flash any cooked roms.
i never said I did any of the flashing. my friend did it all, and he claims to have done the hardspl. he then loaded new ROM onto the phone. Since he is no longer around, and everything has gone hay-wire, I am trying to fix it.
Here is my new situation; I can get the phone to fully load into the rom, but it does not have the HardSPL installed. The computer will recognize that the phone is plugged in, but active sync will not connect; just says error. If i go through "my computer" and try and copy files that way it says: "the file Reference could not be copied. It may not exist or cannot be transferred." I have tried to just re-flash it *because i really need it up and running* and the programs just say they cannot. I even used CID unlocker and it says it failed. I just don't know where to go from here.
Try doing a Hard Reset and see if your symptoms change. NOTE: Remove the SD Card.
Hi,
I was a keen follower of the Cyanogen Nightlys. But after build 38 when my phone was idle for more the 10-20 mins, my phone display went blank and none of the buttons worked. So the only way to fix this was to reset the device by taking out the battery.
So I went back to build build 38 and restored my device with Titanium BackUp. Same thing happened (blank screen, buttons didn't work) after awhile. Then I just put build 38 with no backup, worked for awhile but after I installed an application (Whatsapp) and restored my contacts from Google, after 15 mins the screen went blank again.
So i ended up getting frustrated and decided to wipe everything (including the sd card) and put cyanogen fresh. So I plugged in my Nexus S to the computer and did a normal (FAT 32, default allocation) format. Windows then said sd card was empty but once I unplugged and checked the sd card, everything was still there. Plugged it back to the pc and and everything was still there.
Then I tried using the format storage option in settings--> storage itself, same thing happened, it said it was formatted but nothing changed on the sd card. Even tried formatting using clockwork recovery, same thing.
What makes things worse is that now every time i place something on the sd card, windows says its there, but it disappears once i unplug it. So it seems that the storage doesn't want to change anything on itself. So since the last ROM i put before the format was a fresh update of cyanogen build 38, every time i reboot my phone it runs setup wizard (asks for my google access details). And freezes every so often.
Please help, i have no idea what else to try. I was gonna used odin, but I need to buy/make the cable. So is it really necessary?
EDIT: Every time i install a new rom eg. MIUI, it says it has been installed in recovery, but cyanogen loads when i reset the phone
EDIT: I tried ODIN, it didnt worked, now it just gets stuck on the google screen. I can still enter recovery and the bootloader. But the sd card seems to be corrupt.

What cable? Admittedly, I've not used Odin on the Nexus S, however i've used it plenty on the Galaxy S i had previously, all i ever used was the standard USB cable that came with the phone.
I thought u needed a special cable? I really dont want to use odin cause i hear people bricked there phones using it. I hae the i9020
I don't know that I would have use windows to format the card. I would have done the oem lock and oem unlock to clear the sdcard storage. Doing the oem unlock again totally clears the phone and then you should be starting all over from scratch like day one when you purchased the phone.

I tried " fastboot oem lock" and fastboot oem unlock" but everything stayed the same. And yes i agree, using windows was stupid, I really wasn't thinking properly.
Ok so does the option, setting*storage*erase sd card work?

No it didn't, it says its formatted. But when i check back on the file explorer, everything is there...
Could the problem be that i choose FAT32 as the file system when formatting using windows?
Hello,
First time i have a problem like this... I was trying to install new ROM on my HTC desire (at this time Leedroid). I was making back up of my current system with RomManager then something went wrong... when my phone rebooted it showed me that something is missing and then turned off. I think it was something wrong with SD card. Then i tried to turn it on and saw that SD card is misssing also USB connection not works! Just charging, but no notification like "use like hard drive", "Charge Only"...(everything is ok on settings with it). I ws trying to format my SD card but nothing good. On other sPhones my SD card works perfectly. I tried on my phone other cards - nothing. I think this is something deeper than just SD card problem. Also when i rebooted in hBoot mode (Power on + volume down), it shows me that S-ON, but before problem it was S-ON... when i trying to make some changes like restore from SD card from hBoot it shows me errors something like /sdcard/.security.adroid. (dont remember exactly). And i cant reach my SD card in any ways. Also bad thing that USB dont want to work with PC... I cant make it S-OFF again or make other changes... Maybe someone has idea how to fix it? I was searching a lot of forums but no answer. btw - my phone still rooted. and i can use it like a phone with internal storage without USB and SDcard.. (Old ROM boots up ok). Sometimes when im trying to make changes on hBoot it shutsDown ( 5 times vibration and then turns off just blinking green light), then i need to pull the battery and again and again.... Any ideas?Whats the problem?
Hi!
I had my tablet very slow and I decided to do a factory reset. It did but all the folders in the internal sd card remained there so I wntered in Recovery Mode and maybe I messed up something there because now I can't pass the white asus logo. I already searched in this forum and on the internet and some solutions talk about installing a new rom or something but the problem is that I can't even mount the sd card in my computer. Any solution for this?
Thanks.

I already kind of answered this on my thread, but try to get into fastboot. Hold down powerbutton until the device goes black. Then quickly hold both powerbutton and volum down at the same time until you see a screen with 4 different options. Then you are fine, and not super bricked. For further instructions wait for someone that knows what they are talking about (im not good at this)
