i read that but it seems to me that only solution is to pay for some code! Ive already tried mention programs to unlock it but it didnt help - at least it shows signal now but there is still "data crashes" massage....

Unfortunately the procedure from IMEI-CHECK.UK is the only available working one - at least there IS a procedure (more than just a "code") to revive your device. Up to you what to do - if you find an alternate way to handle this (gutek85 is investigating), let us know.

ok - strange thing is that i havent used my Tornado for a long time and i think it worked before without any problems!?! ....

You messed it sometime with an SIM-unlock/super-CID procedure. You will only notice with a SIM card - so if you played around with flashing long time back already without a SIM, you may not even have noticed the problem.

but what is the solution?

The solution is pay IMEI-CHECK.UK or wait for effects of my work (if this works)

no no, im not gonna pay anything for this especialy when there is no certain result. i tried several programs but nothing worked. i find it strange that i can lock phone but cant unlock it back....also found out this: when i tried to flash new ROM everything looks normal during procedure (on the screen there is 100 %) but after restart there is still the same one ROM...:-(

Report in detail what did not work and how you prepared your device for successful flashing. Make sure you understood what the following terms mean:
- application unlocking
- SIM unlocking
- CID unlocking
and how you can check each of these are successfully executed.

i know what - SIM unlocking and CID unlocking means but dont know how to unlock them. i also have artemis which is in fact tornado with touchscreen and gps and i could CID unlock it easily and than tried many ROMS(SIM unlocking wasnt necessary), but i havent found solution for this yet....if there would be 100 % (at least 99 % ) guide for this it would be great....

Plenty has been told, in this thread and others. Lokiwiz tooling is 100% if you execute all steps carefully and don't leave trash of previous unlocks behind in the directory. It worked for all of my devices since spv-services is no more available. It has SIM unlocked a Hurricane and a Tornado and CID unlocked about 10 Tornados, 2 Hurricanes and 3 Typhoon - without any error.
Look at the batch, analyse what it does and take action accordingly. A safety precaution is to rename the pdocwrite.exe in the tools directory for the first run, so it will not actually write the unlocked encrypted block. Then compare the two .bin files to see if they are different. If they are identical then your device was probably already CID unlocked. Access the SPL in bootmode with TTerm (command "info 2") then the bottom line should tell "HTC superCID" or similar.
The latter is discussed and told in most kitchen and ROM threads - so nothing new. Just look at my signature and follow the link after "WM6+SDHC cooked ROM".

"Data chrashes..." fix method

Probably I found method to reconstruct encrypted block after "Data crashes..." message I write modified CID block from Tornado1 to Tornado2 and phone still works ok. Send PM to sunny_morning and he(she) can be my beta tester (if wants). If this works, write full instruction on this forum Now waiting for answer from sunny_morning...

Oh, well - this can be good news
What I know from my old investigations was that the encrypted block needs to be encrypted with the DOC-ID of the "new" device and that another key is required (one of 100 possible - depending on the DOC-ID) to do so. It is a quite complicated process, I think.
With your suggested procedure would it be mandatory to change the IMEI of the device (to the one of the old device - hence "cloning" the device) or will it be the original IMEI?
What did you verify already with your spare device?
I also have some spare Tornados (with encrypted block backups) to assist in testing if you like.

It's wird, because after write into MTTY "info 2" comand it displays:
info 2
GetDeviceInfo=0x00000002
GetDeviceCID: Error - InitDecoder
HTCS ´í•6HTCE
Cmd>
but i can flash nev ROM and GSM works... I know it should show SiperCID information, but it still works...
And screen from Wizard Service Tool:

Any idea???

I think that only works with a WM6.5 - not with original shipped ROMs. This seems special in some ways, possibly some checks have been patched, so bypassing conditions that make other ROMs fail with GSM access.
How do you know that GSM "works"?
Could you make normal calls with the changed encrypted block?
Mind that "data crashes" only affects GSM use - all other functions of the device work unchanged even under this condition.
What you described was also happening to AlainL and he did not succeed in getting it resolved - neither did I when receiving the broken device. After getting the IMEI-check.uk procedure done everything is back to normal.

1. Yes, you're right. It works only witch cooked WM 6.5 rom (I tried this only on this ROM), doesnt work on shipped ROM.
2. I'm sure, because I can call from this phone I'll try working on WM5 shipped ROM...
3. I'm workin hard to fix all this damage for free
P.S. I have a backup copy of my original encrypted block, so there is no risc...
Edit:
You have right once again... After flashing to Shipped Qtek ROM I have message "Data crashes..." Maybe solution to the problem is upgrading to Gregory WM6.5 ROM... Or there is any patch for shipped ROMs...
This is getting harder than I thought
Edit2:
After downgrade to shipped WM5 Qtek ROM I can't upgrade back to WM6.5 Gregory ROM. Progress bar goes to 100%, but after reboot I have the same WM5 Qtek ROM My (alternative) SPV C600 is sentenced to WM5 Qtek Shipped ROM...

You should copy back the original encrypted block (with the real HTC SuperCID) then the normal flashing should work again.
Get in contact with the originator of the WM6.5 ROM on what he did to the RIL (Radio Interface Layer) to skip the check on the encrypted block. Probably the ROM would also not care about an active SIM lock in the encrypted block.
In that case, probably a ROM cook could insert the "robust" RIL to any Tornado ROM?

I have backup copy of original SuperCID encrypted block, but i can't flash it back (it's created from WST), because i can't now connect with Wizard Service Tool (Qtek WM5 ROM)
I think you're right. WM6.5 by SGregory is more CID-block problems proof. That's why Tornado still could make calls, despite a damaged CID block
My next step is find informations how to convert CID-block backup from .fls to .bin file. Then I'll try to flash it back by lokiwiz02b

Just make a copy of the block with lokiwiz. They both use the itsutils for doing the job and it should be a straight binary copy only. Probably you can right away rename the WST backup to the name required for the lokiwiz.

dead bootloader what to do next

I've got a dead bootloader. My device doesn't upgrade thru SD and not with USB. can somebody please help me because i realy don't know what to do. My device is dead for almost 3 weeks now
[edit]
Even my backup on SD doesn't load. And this happend after i downgrade the radio version of the well know greek rom
[/edit]
nobody?
Is there a solution to flash only the bootloader?
I think you need to add some more info, if anyone should have a chance to help. For example what happened when it died - how and why? What happens if you remove the battery cover, replaces it and turns on the device? Text on screen, like USB or Serial? Have you tried uploading ROM from different PCs?
The more info you provide, the more likely it is that someone recognizes your situation from own experience and can provide some help.

You are totaly right.
I have update my frvice with the wrong greek rom and now i have the 15 sec reboot thing.
When I startup my device he ends up the bootloader and the only way to get the device booting to windows is remove the battery cover. But the her reboots again after the 15 seconds.
In the bootloader i tried to load my backup with the SD card but nothing happens. I also tried to load a ROM with MaUpgradeUt_NoID but nothing happens. I only get empty version thing.

If i use the regular MaUpgradeUt and change the file change.bat for the xda3nbftool I get a error "error 201: get device data error".
I also tried to backup my device with the wrong ROM on it, to look at the header but nothing happens (romupdate.exe).
So my conclusion is that my bootloader is dead. Please correct me when i'm wrong but if this is the case how can i correct my bootloader.
When you unplug your Magician from the USB cable, what do you see?
If you see (with the backlight OFF) "Serial v1.00" or similar, thats a WORKING bootloader.
Make sure you have Active Sync DISABLED (right click the taskbar icon, click "Connection Settings..." the uncheck "Available by USB".
You should then plug in the USB cable and it should change to "USB v1.00" or similar.
Your PC may detect the connection as new hardware - that is a good sign that you have Active Sync disabled.
Let the New Hardware Wizard do it's thing, then re-run the upgrade setup and it should work.
If not, you've got BIG problems.
guess I'm in big trouble
The only thing i can do, is trying a different pc without ASync. On the current pc i'm working on, USB in activesync is disabled.
Are there any posibilties to reload (rebuilt, update) Bootloader.
Can somebody please help me.
The bootloader is built in as it's own ROM, and I've never seen a utility that can make it writeable. I doubt you've destroyed your bootloader, but that doesn't help you - sounds like you'll have to bite the bullet, act dumber than you are, and return it to the manufacturer for a repair - and probably pay for the privilege.

But isn't it strange that if you can't destroy it, it doesn't work anymore? And isn't there somebody who had the same problem?
Before you give up, try this:
Try using another USB cable.
I have experimented many times to realise that the upgrading process does require matching with the right cable.
I noticed that in the screenshot you posted, there is no info on what the device will be upgrade to! I could be wrong, but this may well mean that your device is incompatible with the ROM you are trying to upload.
Try downloading another ROM and give it a go. The best thing would be, if you can find one made specifically for your brand, ie Qtek, I-mate or whatever, and DON'T patch it. Just let the original installer do the job...

There isn't a orignal rom fot the dutch T-mobile MDA. And if you use a original installer, it uses ActiveSync. And i can't boot windows because it restarts after 15 seconds so I can't use ActiveSync.
Why can't you use an original ROM updater, if you have the Greek resetting ROM installed? I believe a lot of us has done so without any problems, including me. I don't remember precisely what I did, but it was no problem whatsoever. Most likely I just entered bootloader mode first, to keep the Magician from resetting...

I really tried everything but without any results. I realy don't know why i can't use the original ROM updater.
I have the similar problem, but mine one doesnt even start windows. It always go into the bootloader mode and stays there. I try upgrading it, but it gives me communication errors.
Do this
This is what you do.
Disconnect your JAm from USB
Go from your PC , ACTIVESYNC > FILE > CONNECTION SETTINGS > remove the check mark for ALLOW USB CONNECTION TO THIS DESKTOP COMPUTER
Now connect your JAM to your PC again via USB, this time active sync should not start since you have disabled USB
Now double click on the installer file of the original ROM and you should be good to go
After Reset , enable USB ,
Go from your PC , ACTIVESYNC > FILE > CONNECTION SETTINGS > Put a check mark for ALLOW USB CONNECTION TO THIS DESKTOP COMPUTER
MDA dead
I have tried.... it's not responsing as it should be.

[ROM][WWE]HTC Elf Clone - Rom Dumped[ONLINE]

Hey there!
At first I'd like to intruduce myself as I'm around here not too long.
Well I'm a gagdet lover and got my self accidentaly a Touch-Clone, and the worst is that the OS (WM6) is in Chinese ...
First I was pissed off, but then I got trough the Wikis and managed to make a rom-dump of the device, so if anybody is interested, I'd be glad to share the dump with you ...
Actually I'm looking for some possibility to get rid of the chinese interface as I understand nothing and was wondering if it's possible just to exchange language-critical files with adequate english- or german ones?
And is it possible to flash the changed image back to the device with pdocwrite (Filesystem is MSFLASH) or am I confusing something?
Any suggestions or recomendations?
Cheers, Max
You will have to disclose your device's model so that ppl here can confirm if it is a ELF / ELFin Clone. After updating the USPL you should be able to flash any recent rom in any language.
thanks for your reply!
Unlocking the phone with CERT_SPCS and Enable Rapi worked fine, attached some pics:

I hope you didn't get me wrong, this is not an original htc as it seems, as the filesystem is different? But any hints appreciated!
Cheers, Max
This is HTC ELF S1 from China.
It is the first version of Elf.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=320155
Flash the USPL and you are good to go for any Elf ROM.
2.20 Elfin ROM is also compatible with your device. But you may want to try those Elf ROM first. You may try the touch surface rom or Shadow CE 2.1.

BTW, this is the same as other HTC ELF .. No different at all, except it uses Chinese Language ROM.
thanks for the identification, your help is very appreciated!
but just to be sure: the device goes into bootloader when pressing "volume up" and soft reset. Also the bootloader screen is white and shows "Enter bootloader updated from SD card?" written in green.
Isn't the bootloader usualy in three colors? Sorry for my doubts but I just want to make sure I don't brick the device ;o)
cheers, Max
Hey where did you buy your phone?
same as you civilized ;o) already solved your problem?
china clone...
@baustromverteiler
did you manage to extract the bootloader? and if yes: what tool did you use?
i´m trying to do the same thing on another clone from china running a strange kind of wm6... and it is a msflash-device, too!
regards
chuckbert
hi chuckbert,
use this command to geht the exact size of partition you want to dump (first use pdo Cert_SPCS and EnableRapi on the phone to unlock your device if not done already)
1. pdocread -w -d MSFLASH -p Part00 -b 0x800 -t
output is something like this:
real nr of sectors: 638 - 1.25Mbyte (0x13f000)
then use
2. pdocread -w -d MSFLASH -p Part00 0 -b 0x800 0x13f000 part00.raw
to dump the rom to disk, you must change the 0x13f000 to in value 1. displays, then do this for all your partitions you want to dump, part02 is the OS (at least on my device) and I suspect part00 or part01 to be the bootloader but I don't know how to extract it from the dump, maybe someone could help?
I got in contact with the seller today and they're trying to get a english rom from the manufacturer ...
@baustromverteiler:
that´s exactly what i did *bg*
no problem to extract the os (part02.raw) but in the other files there is no booltoader
any further suggestions?
seems like the devices are kind of "related"...
regards
chuckbert
hm ... did you find any hints on how to extract the bootloader?
i searched the forums and googled but couldn't find any information ...
cheers, max
bootloader
try "safebootloader.exe or pmemdump...
hope you are more lucky, than i was!
regards
chuckbert
Hi, stumbling into Elf territory here, but is this a clone?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....PageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=005#ebayphotohosting
TOMTOP PS381 with WifI, 2GB max microSD (what's Elf max?), same TI OMAP chip, same ram/rom, just curious, as i keep looking at this and thinking it might be a good purchase for fun, but if anyone has any infos, would be good.
thanks, and sorry to hijack thread
/hijack
most certainly by looking at the ebay page
wrong dialer, extra weird softwares (GSmart?), 200-400 hours standby is ungoldy for ppc
No man and there customer service is horrible I'm just going to exchange it and hopefully I get one that lasts
According to the forum in China, S1 is just the same as other Elf, once it is Super CID, you can flash any rom.
try this after you have unlocked.. this is copied from another thread from this forum but I don't know the actual source..
Elf SD Card flashing
This page describes how to upgrade your Elf ROM using an SD Card. This is useful for:
Linux and Mac users: you don't need windows to upgrade the ROM
ELF0IMG.nbh on a FAT32 filesystem
1、Empty (erase the contents) of your microSD card from the Windows Mobile file explorer or format it from your computer using a card reader (in some cases format doesn't work).
2、Extract the .NBH file from your prefered ROM upgrade: In windows use winrar (right click) to extract the contents of the exe file. In Linux / MacOS use cabextract.
3、Rename the .NBH file to ELF0IMG.nbh and copy it to the root folder of your microSD card.
4、With microSD card inserted on the phone, start the bootloader (The bootloader is invoked by hold down the camera button and reset device with the stylus).
5、confirm flashing on screen by pressing the volume slider down.
6、Flashing might hang after some time but this is normal. Just wait. Complete flash takes about 30 minutes, so check your battery or connect to charger before the flashing process starts.
SuperCID devices are able to flash any NBH image using this method.
So and what can you do when your OS on this clone doesn't boot, hard-reset is not working and CID is locked of course? I tryed classic hard-reset method what is working on original Elf but not on this Elf-clone? I only can get into bootloader... so I think I need original Elf-clone ROM... I haven't any
EDIT: My forum-friend had looked to the manual and find how to Hard-Reset DOPOD S1 so there it is:
press volume up + press camera button + put your stylus into reset hole for 1.5 second then release stylus but keep pressed buttons "volume up" and "camera" until bootloader screen appears.
I've also bought a Touch Clone from China, but now its stuck at the windows splash screen...
Can someone point to a ROM file for these clones?
TIA

1. anyone having problems with the device entering SSPL automatically or problems with USB connection after SSPL was loaded, please copy SSPL-Manual-PantherCDMA.exe from the SSPLManual.zip attachment to the device and run it (make sure USB is plugged in). then once the screen is in SSPL, run RUU manually. i.e. you run the RUU on the PC, if it isn't obvious.
2. if it still has connection error in SSPL screen, try unplugging and replugging the USB
3. try different USB port, PC, etc.
4. when there are sync issues, the program also suggests installing this file on the phone: http://hpcmonex.net/roms/enablerapinew.cab, just making a note here too.
4. it's been verified that you can flash HardSPL from SD in SSPL, see instructions below.
Updates:
HardSPL NBH file is now downloadable from 1st post! you can flash this from SD now; rename this NBH to PANTIMG.NBH, put it on a fat32 formatted SD, and then run SSPL-Manual-PantherCDMA.exe on the phone.
steps for stock SPL restore:
0. only use this for warranty service! for no other purpose!!! also before flashing this, make sure you already have stock ROM flashed.
1. download Stock_SPL_Restore_036.zip attachment from 1st post, extract it.
2. get customRUU and flash this file. can also do SD flash (PANTIMG.NBH).

thanks cmonex,
Your hard-spl works fine on my treo pro.
After replacing original hspl with yours, immediately i just try to flash a new custom rom into my treo pro, but this time failed, ether usb-way or storage-way.
Then after a big searching job, finally i found a treo pro kitchen which can given custom rom automatically, also this custom rom could be write into treo pro,
Things goes pretty sweet till now, BUT, BUT, BUT.......................
After rom writing job finish, treo pro restart, system is stopped at splash screen, i am jammed!
Later i find out that damned kitchen is only used for producing 'panther200' roms
and my treo pro tri-color screen is displaying 'panther100', does this mean that kitchen is used for any other treo pro? for example, sprint, cdma?
right now only one thing i am pretty sure-----my treo pro is poisoned!
once again, please, cmonex, any ideas for solve this problem?
online waitting!

Later i find out that damned kitchen is only used for producing 'panther200' roms
and my treo pro tri-color screen is displaying 'panther100', does this mean that kitchen is used for any other treo pro? for example, sprint, cdma?
right now only one thing i am pretty sure-----my treo pro is poisoned!
once again, please, cmonex, any ideas for solve this problem?
online waitting!

yea, panther 100 is GSM afaik... but this thread is CDMA hardspl. or do you mean you flashed the GSM hardspl I released in another thread? (it would be 0.59.CMONEX)
the problem is really just that you need to flash a GSM panther rom, so just flash the shipped RUU for *GSM* treo pro.

thanks cmonex,
my hp is GSM device, sorry for posting problem on this CDMA thread,
problems fixed!
yes, after hspl hacking, it displays 0.59.CMONEX on my treo pro tri-color screen,
The reason for failed loading GSM rom to treo pro is because of wrong format of my TF card, previously i was using TF card for U drive with WINPE system, and i think i messed up with memory format since that moment.
So right now one thing is clear, windows default format function won't help, i mean after windows formatting, TF card properties shows FAT32, but still something wrong with it.
Later on i found an app called [usboot] can doing the proper formatting job, then everything goes fine.
currently i am back on track & WWE 6.1 custom rom works fine, thank you very much for your kindly help!

Help T mobile Sda
both of the methods dont work on my T mobile sda (US)...anyone knows how to crack it from bootload??? thanks
The lokiwiz method works for sure if you do all steps right. Be careful however as it is just a batch file around some very powerful tools from itsme. You better first investigate with the lokiwiz where you comment out the pdocwrite part to see if the pdocread worked ok.
Or better use the tools directly as they are called from the batch from the commandline. Take great care that you do not mess up different lock_back.bin files with devices. pdocwrite will write anything to the encrypted block area - if you write the wrong file there your device will be unusable for any GSM radio operation. When the SIM is inserted it tells you "Data crashes, please contact your service center". It almost sure that you killed the GSM use this way.

You can try by always this method. It worked for me a lot of times. WARNING! THIS METHOD IS ONLY WORKING FOR SIM UNLOCK!!
1- Download this HTC 2125 Offline Unlocker.zip to your PC
2- Unzip it! of course
3- Sync your device with activesync
4- MANUALLY COPY THE CERT.CAB TO YOUR 2125 AND INSTAL IT FROM YOUR DEVICE
5- Restart your device and sync with activesync
6- Run file named "Autounlock.bat" and just follow the instructions.
7- (ONLY FOR CID UNLOCK)Phone will reboot. then you have to hard reset. cuz some winmo files are gonna lost.
After its work is done, your device will reboot. Now you are ready for going in any services
I hope help you and to anyone!!!
Hi,
could you check if the file is not corrupted: when I unzip it with 7-zip (winzip is not working), it gives me only a _setup.xml of only 1.4kB
on Linux unzip, tells me that the end-of-control-directory signature is missing
Thanks for your help
Louis
PS: I downloaded many times but still the files are not correctly handled

My aplologizes.
While Zipping file I use RAR. you can try with winrar or can try changing the path to file .rar and then unrar it.
anything you can contact me and get this via email.
Thanks for your answer: it worked like a charm
Louis
The zip contains a set of useful and several not needed files. It is basically the lokiwiz batch file and tools with some deployment of security via RAPI to the device wrapped before.
@Crowleycator: will you clean up the zip and relink this version?
It seems that the rapi deployment of security and certificates should work for all Tornado devices, not only for the Cingular 2125.
- why the hazzle of renaming the config.dll to .exe and vice versa?
hosed
I followed the exact steps and even I am getting "Data crash, please contact your service center" error.
I ran the batch file from elevated command prompt from my Windows 7 OS. I don't have activesync, but have Windows mobile device center.
I don't have winxp else I would love to upgrade to winmo6: karhoe DOT net/guide-upgrading-htc-tornado-to-windows-mobile-65-updated-june-18-2009.html
At this point, I don't mind reverting back to original locked version, but even after pdocwrite'ing lock_backup back to the device, I am getting same error. And "left softkey + right softkey + power button" doesn't hardware reset the phone anymore.
Any and all help appreciated

Did you CID-Unlock (to be able to load another ROM) or SIM-Unlock (to have another SIM working)?
CID-Unlock:
Did you check if there is a difference in the lock_backup.bin and the cidunlocked.bin file? At offset x'160 32 bytes should differ and as well at offset x'ffff8 for 8 bytes (checksum).
SIM-Unlock:
Did you check if there is a difference in the lock_backup.bin and the unlocked.bin file? At offset x'1c80 8 bytes should differ and as well at offset x'ffff8 for 8 bytes (checksum).
Mind that the lokiwiz tooling will overwrite an existing lock_backup.bin without warning if it exists. So in case anything goes wrong (and is written to the device) and then you retry a second time - your old lock_backup.bin is gone forever.
Also be aware that the original ZIP some posts earlier already contains 2 *.bin files that belong to a device that is surely not yours. YOU MUST NOT WRITE THESE BACK TO YOUR DEVICE!
Lookup other threads dealing with the "data crashes" topic. Hardly any chance to recover from that without paying.

Hi,
I am a complete newbie at this, but I tried your instructions to unlock an old cingular 2125 so that we can use it overseas. I was doing really well until item #6...where it says to run the autolock.bat file. When I tried to run it, it came up with a list of exe files and told me to choose one to associate the bat file with. I tried several and couldn't figure it out...looked online and am such a newb that I really don't even know what I'm looking for! Anyway, if you are available, could you please help me get past this spot? Thanks so much!
First try should be to get the unlock code from AT&T. You give them the IMEI (enter *#06# and note down the result), they give you the code to enter. So easy - no complicated tooling.
Manually unlocking with hacking tools requires basic skills of computing, e.g. to understand what happens in your case. Mind that things can go so wrong that you cannot use the device any longer at all (data crashes message). If on executing the batchfile (*.bat) the computer (you executed this on the PC, did you?) asks about what to associate it with, then something is wrong with your PC - or it is running an operating system that cannot execute *.bat files.

Help me please

hello friends I have a question

You have to flash new ROM. It should be Shipped ROM, if your phone is CID locked.
Don't worry ActiveSync isn't connested. Just power off device, press Camera button and plug-in usb cable until three collor screen. Then run ROM upgrade utillity.
It's important to use correct ROM version (the same language ver.), otherwise it will show you an error message.
tell me I should install some file?
or just do the procedures outlined in the post
Shipped ROM file, I can not download
You just have to run ROM Update Utility. That's all. Here you can find some Vox shipped ROMs. If you can't find your language version, I can upload it for you
What is writen on red box? 1.34.???
for the moment I have my htc near me
and can not remember informaction
Only I remember this
vox Hitachi
1.34
cpdl .1.31.00000
to the end
show me
USB
I'm using the rom
HTC S710 WM 6.5 "Official" v1.0 [XIP/SYS 21854]
is very beautifull
SURE you can upload more files for me roms kitchen v0x htc s710
windows 5.6 please
You used SSPL, I think... This number, I asked, could choose you right version.
Anyway, that link let you find somethink for you All available shipped ROMs I found...
yes now using SSPL
you know I'm new at this and some days ago
I decided to flash my htc install the first thing I
and was the rom that I show up windows 6.5
for me is pretty far
can you tell me what is the best cooked rom for now?
can you tell me any rom to use?
HTC S710 WM 6.5 "Official" v1.0 [XIP/SYS 21854] is very good ROM. I used it You can use Lite version too. I'm using HTC Typhoon now, Vox has an accident
he he
I have it installed this rom and is very good now
I see you know more than htc phones
and so wonder if you have any other cooked rom
to use
you are the expert on this
what is the version lite?
1. I'm not an expert, I only know a little more than you
2. I can't cook ROMs. There are people who really can do it...
3. Lite version has more storage and uses less RAM. It also has less programs inside the ROM. For more info look here
Very refreshing to see members helping each other....good jobs mates
Have you tried a Hard Reset already? IF the flashing (or some procedures to prepare it) did not succeed then you get back to the bootloader screen. Nothing lost yet, but you must get back to the OS level to continue.
Suspecting that the flash went ok (did you ever use the custom ROM on this device?) - then probably the imgfs is corrupted which prevents a clean boot into the OS. A hard-reset will fix this. It requires a little finger juggling though:
1.) remove battery to switch off device
2.) reinsert battery
3.) press and hold (!) L+R (both) softkeys
4.) switch on device (briefly press power button), but keep 3.) pressed
5.) wait until a white screen comes up and asks about the hard reset
6.) confirm with the green/call button
@ gutek85
yeah I know
I can see now than you know more hehe is great..
I have my htc 710 now
now go to flash the shiped rom
Edit...
the instalation is finished
but when finished the instalation
my htc 710 is againg to screen colors
i must be press key off and now press key on
is strange
@ tobbie:
I must say that I did the hard reset many times
but my phone still displays the same problem
when I turn it off and start to charge the battery
screen is placed in three colors
is very strange for me
So does the device work when the USB cable is not connected?
- what when the the charger is connected?
- what when the PC is connected?
- what when you take another USB cable?
It could be that the USB socket has a HW problem that triggers the fallback to the boot.
Did you use any program to CID or SIM unlock your Vox device? If not, tobbbie can be right...
@ gutek85
@ tobbie
I think this must be the problem
when I connect my htc to give the battery charge
lights and pulls the color screen
From that point I can not charge the battery
I have to turn to see that the battery is charging
Also my battery is damaged only lasts 15 minutes and discharged
you think this will be the problem?
and forget this
I have a htc s621 too
yesterday I flash a rom files
but now not show nothing signal
Try to replace the battery first, and see what changes
What ROM did you flash S621? Shipped or cooked?
@ gutek85
I using this rom now
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=523718
[Release 3.50 3-30-2010]
but my htc s621 not have nothign signal
and when go to insert the Sim card show
sim unregistrer is strange for me because is sim original
can help me ?
But it's HTC Excalibur ROM Try using any VOX ROM i.e. WM 6.5 "Official" v1.0 [XIP/SYS 21854]
Or any shipped...
@gutek85: He has two devices - a Vox and an Excalibur.
@chinitopex: You should discuss the problems in either forum separately.
Please tell in each thread then more about the background of the devices, especially if they have ever proven to operate normally (with shipped ROM). If you did not check the original behavior first and miss to describe the exact circumstances under which the problem appeared, a suitable advice is hard to give.
It it is impossible (for me at least) to read your mind and base good advice on missing information, speculation and guess work.
