[Q] Need Help Please looked for similar question and there isn't one like mine. - General Questions and Answers

I got the Zenpap 4 Tablet, my basic problem is that I can't connect it to my PC check it with another PC and have the same problem.
Windows doesn't recognize the device tried to install many different drivers but with the same result, windows don't recognize the device and say's that the it's wrong driver (not only in my PC in the other one too)
What can I do? I thought to Wipe it (but don't know to do it) and from there try to root it and then upgrade it, do you think it may solve my problem by wiping it?
Please help me I'm desperate already.
Thanks in advance.
Ben

Need SSD help from 7510 owners!

If any 7510 owners can scan their registry, I am searching for any drivers associated with the SSD. Can you help out? This is in relation to trying to upgrade the 7500/7501 to a 16GB SSD.

Hi Keith,
I take it you're looking for the drivers for the flash storage and that you're working on porting AP4 to x7510?
If not, please could you let us know what else you need?

just go get one of the x7510 rom images from the x7510 hardspl thread i made (stickied, easy to find) and dump the registry and files.
easiest test might be flash the rom as is, but make sure you got 3.5 SPL and not 1.2.
note, someone tried this already (i've talked to him in PM) and SSD wasn't working. which SSD driver did you install? same as x7510?

I guess there might be some sort of race going on here to see who can be 1st to port AP4 to x7510!
Whichever way it goes, if successful we all win.
I am not working on porting AP4 to the 7510, but working on getting the Transcend 16gb SSD recognized in the 7500/7501. I have the 7510 ROM that was modified to work with the 7500/01 but the SSD is not recognized as of yet. I plan to run WM5torage and see if the USB recognizes the SSD.
I don't think that our objectives are mutually exclusive. If the drivers from the 7510 can be extracted to work with the Transcend SSD in the 7500/7501; then surely those drivers can be put into the AP4 ROM.
Thanks for the info so far, fyi, I have SPL3.5

I ran v1.73 of WM5torage and the SSD is recognized under USB connection.
It is titled WM5torage ATHE400 USB Storage Device. It is not formatted so the capacity still reads 0
Question is how to format it through WinXP or Vista????
If one of you guys has WM5torage, can you hook up your 7510 to your PC and then right click on your SSD?
It should show up as a removable disk. Right click on Properties, then under the Hardware tab, there should be a list of drives.
Click on the ATHE400 device and then hit Properties Button again.
A new window should openand then go to Driver tab.
Tell me what drivers are listed for your SSD once you hit the Driver Details button?
On mine they are:
c:\windows\system32\drivers\disk.sys
c:\windows\system32\drivers\PartMgr.sys
Let me know if you have anything different!
Keith, surely if you can see it under XP or Vista then you can format it? Is anything preventing you from formatting it as a removable storage device?

this is the mistake
flash an *unmodified* x7510 rom from the thread i mentioned, and see if SSD works in that. you can always reflash to x7500 rom to fix the annoyances coming from the ROM not being fully compatible but this is just fine to test the SSD itself.
I will try that Cmonex. But I thought that the ROM would not upload if the device was not an ATHE400. I will try it anyway.
With regard to formatting the SSD under USB connection. The only formatting available under my XP unit at home was FAT12. With FAT12, the SSD only had 78mb, dissappointing.
FAT32 wasn't an option, which was strange.
I sent that SSD back to Transcend, and now have the new one installed.
Does anyone have the link for the std. ROM? I downloaded a zip file, but it is fragmented file with .raw extensions. How to extract?
CMONEX posted a few links here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=441684
Well I downloaded the std. 7510 rom and the SSD is still not recognized. I might as well switch to the AP4 ROM and try to format the SSD via USB cable from the host PC.

This might be the reason why the drivers don't work:

Hi,
as my X7510 had a deadly accident, I dismantled it.
It doesn't have a SSD. The place where X7500 has his MicroDrive is filled by the PCB with on the both sides a total of four SanDisk SDED5-004G-NC 4GB FlashDrive.
This FlashDrive has a FBGA package which need an industrial soldering machine to be soldered or desoldered.

Is everyone sure that this is the driver for the SSD? I just uploaded AP4 Platinum (for 7500/7501) and it has the same registry and .dll

Can anybody create the .CAB file with driver for internal 16 Gb flash-storage of HTC X7510? Please, help!
Dear All Sifus ( Gurus ) of X7501 and x7510 ,
Looks like the this tough hurdle is still around after 2 years now , it is so easy to solve a only hardware problem , also a only software problem , but it is most difficult to solve a problem of both hardware and also software that is associated together , especially when Htc and also ssd manufacturer is keeping mum about the settings . But i think nothing is impossible , so pls quickly solve this puzzle and share with us and dont give up , you are very close already , thanks and regards - jimmunsw

GoClever I102 - firmware flash tutorial

for GoClever i102 not booting device ( the same with AIRIS KIRA N10020)
I had this problem and managed to solve it. Maybe i can help others.
1.get the firmware from http://airis.livedrive.com/IO/DownloadSharedFile?NodeID=0ed5e3b3a95d42e198fdfad4e1d780a3&AID=336352 or http://www.airissupport.com/SupportHome2.aspx?Codigo=N10020 with tutorial (use google translate because it's in spanish)
2.download winimage for windows http://www.winimage.com/download/wima6490.exe install it for evaluation copy and run as administrator
3.insert a microSD card in a card reader and connect it to your PC, start winimage>DISK MENU>RESTORE VIRTUAL HARD DISK IMAGE... and select the card reader and you will have to select the firmware for your device. It will promt you that all the data from the SDcard will be erased and let it finish the job. It can promt you for an error hit OK and continue.
4.Remove the card from the CardReader after image was copied and insert it into your turned off GoClever device. Conect the charger and start the device. It will boot by itself and install everything. It will promt you to remove the card when finished. Restart and let it boot (1st boot might take up to 5 minutes)
5.Format the microSd card.

help please
it came to my hands a goclever android netbook I102 used from one of my cousins thats stuck on a never ending loop with the android/goclever logo when it starts. I tried to do the option this post gives ( and ty in advance for that ) because i couldnt find anything else out there on the internet. But my problem still persists, i tried to use both an sd card and a usb pen and nothing changed. Does anyone know what else can be done to boot the netbook? or reinstall the android system? It doesnt allow the netbook to even start so theres nothing much i can do, im not an expert on the matter but i wanted to at least see if there was a way to salvage the device. If not is going on a one way trip to the trash.
I've also tried to look for the download of the android system for the goclever netbook but couldnt find any.
Any help would be much apreciated Thanks.

Encore Mini WT7-C-100

Hello everyone, i am not sure if that thread is realeted to this forum, but i couldnt find anything usefull on the internet. So i have this little, cheap 7-inch tablet wich has an x86 processor(Intel Atom Z3735G;[email protected],3 GHz). Its nothing that impressive ,but the problem here is i got the cheapest model that has 8 GB storage and this is soo small that i cant even upgrade to windows 10....
My question is how I can install android on this thing (android x86 i believe) so to get more use of it. I found a thread at the toshiba forum (https://forum.toshiba.eu/showthread.php?85658-Encore-Mini-WT7-C-100-how-to-boot-from-SD-card-boot), but when i turn on the tablet in boot menu my sd card just not appear...
I flashed android x86 4.4-r5 latest with universal usb installer tool so i guess its bootable. The UEFI is turned off and again nothing is appearing... I just want to ask can be the problem from the sd card because its old 2 GB (Big enough to fit android image on it) or i need to do a specific thing to make the tablet see it, or ineed to get another android version, i dont know. Thank you , I am really sorry if this thread is not for this forum since this tablet is x86.
i figured it out
OK,so i have done a a little of a research and figured out that its impossible to boot from sd card on this tablet. The only possible way to do it is with flashdrive via OTG cable. Another thing android x86 isn`t supported on that device and its laggy and it has screen orientation/speakers issue. The next thing i am going to try is ubuntu GNOME. I think it will be the best for this tablet but i think i woud have some space issues. OK, Sorry fro spaming in that forum the thread is closed.

[Completed] How to create dual boot android / win10 tablet (intel cpu)

So recently I got this cheap android 5.1.1 tablet with the intel cpu.
So I am into this kind of stuff with rooting devices trying different methods/programs.(NOT PROFESSIONAL)
Then I wondered can I somehow make this dualboot win10 and android at the same time...
because I did tried like 10 root aplications and it didnt work eventually so I was pissed of really bad.
After researching for 2 hours on google and ending up with crapware and screen sharers.
Hope someone here help me..
Device information: Casper VIA_S7, android 5.1.1(32 bit) CPU: x86 64 bit (SSSE3)
By the way is it possible to run one of the OS's from micro sd because of the low storage available on the device *16GB*
*If needed i can provide the detailed information of the device or other kinds*
Hi !
Dual boot isn`t as simple as it looks , it needs to be developed for your device but as I have tried to search , your device isn`t listed here on xda
You can ask here where maybe other users with a similar device can provide more feedback !
Good luck !
