After being sick of being deprived of the Android Market I reflashed my Galaxy S i9000 with a middle east rom with arabic support (i really need that) so I finally grabbed a Market APK from an Update.Zip and here it is in the attachment. This may work on other fones but i wouldnt know about that.
All you have to do is run the install (i didnt have root when i installed it so its not neccesary) and restart and market should be in ure app list

now that we have a great "one click" root for the T-mobile G2. and im finally confident enough to go through and do the root for the phone. and lone and behold visionary is taken off the android market. NOT COOL! and i tried supposedly downloading the app, and drag and dropping it over to my phone. but i must have done something wrong because i can not find it in the apps. im new to this whole android rooting thing. and have had a little experiance with jailbreaking the iphone in the past. but this is a totaly different animal and i dont want to screw it up. so please guys any help? i need a how to for dummies at this point.
Update: Temporarily removed the r12 download link while a couple of people on XDA fix a non-booting issue
Info can be found on the modaco website, sorry cannot post the link since my account is not verified yet.
you can find info on it here: http://android.modaco.com/content/t...350/10-nov-r12-test-visionary-one-click-root/
since you're not using the market to install it you will need HTC Sync to install it on your phone OR put it on your SD card and use a file manager like ASTRO File Manager to browse your SD card for the .apk file and install it from there
Hi foilks, noob here. Have had the Tab for about a month now and am enjoying it .
However the football season is coming soon, so would really like to have Sky Go up and running. Now that this is out for ICS, is there a way to get it working on this device?

I'm with you on this one. I find it damn frustrating how I can get Sky Go on my S3 but not on my TAB2 when they both run version 4.04
My only guess is that my S3 has build number BLG8 whereas my TAB2 has build number BLG5. Perhaps a future update will allow the use of Sky Go.
May be try side loading write in google search skygo.apk and try finding file and download and check unknown sources in setting and use file manger as astro to install the file
or use device spoofer but need root and make nandroid backup first
or use app as titanium backup to backup file then copy backup folder to other device and use titanium to restore in other device
use device spoofer as last resort more dangerous in device could lead to soft brick needvl nandroid restore
send message to developer email in android market beside app that you want say the type of your device and the problem may speed update

KD1StockODIN.tar File?
Hi guys, I recently soft bricked my sidekick4G (because I'm new to the sidekick and stupidly didn't do enough research) after installing a ROM.
The Easy One-Click Root program rooted my phone, but for some reason wouldn't pop up any super user notifications, so I went into super user and checked the allow all; that seemed to work for installing my third party apps like Root Explorer.
So I remember I installed the red CWM or w.e it's called (Voodoo?) and that work fine, I can still enter it, I can also enter the orange CWM by applying the "sdcard:update.zip" (Which I thought to be forbidden).
So here I am now getting a robotic woman's voice on every boot saying "Convert data partition, system not available"
I know I need to use this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1186954 (The "[ROM][ODIN] Stock ODEXED T839UVKG2 (Sidekick 4G) Firmware [7/26/11]" thread to go into download mode and install ODIN,
SO.... My problem is that I cannot find the KD1StockODIN.tar file ANYWHERE, all megaupload websites blocked it, and risky torrents have already pissed me off enough.
If any of you have this file, can you Please, PLEASE attach it or upload it, or find a working link for me? I would really, really appreciate it.
Or
If there are any other alternatives to fix the dilemma I'm in, please let me know, as I am new to the Sidekick 4G.
Thank You Guys! And I can promise some THANKS for you too if you help me out =)

Finally Found a thread with everything I needed, drivers, flash program; it was so simple. I realizes I made the mistake of having anti-virus on, with quaranteened most rooting programs. I also didn't have the right drivers, or flash player installed.
This Thread has it all, and much thanks to the thread maker JiN1337

hi every1.
(first thread - be kind )
i have a friend who just bought non brand android phone, looks like iphone from the outside, from china (i hate him for that lol)
it's running an android GB (2.3) with iphone theme (to match its outside looks)
i wanna upgrade the OS to ICS or JB.
although i'm a pretty 'techi' guy i don't have the slightest idea about ROMs \ Flashing \ cooking etc.
because it's non brand i couldn't find the proper place in the forum to ask this question.
the Android Dev and Hacking forum looks like it's not for noobs...
maybe General discussion > General ?
where can i ask this? in what part of the forum?
(haven't attached any link to the on-line store or uploaded any photo 'cause i'm not sure this is the place to ask the Q.)
thanks in advance for any help.

You can install apps that will root the phone. Everyone has different experiences I used Universal Androot and it worked perfectly but thats not to say that it wouldn't brick your device. Anyway once you root the phone the next step is to set up superuser permissions to allow apps superuser access to the linux kernel. After you install superuser app get Rom Manger and connect yourself to a wifi network. You can install clockworkmod through rom manager into your phone's recovery partition. Once that's done put a custom rom on the sd card as a .zip file. then install an app called terminal emulator. open the terminal and type "su"... click allow superuser... then type "reboot recovery"... the phone will switch off and come back on in clockworkmod... select the zip to install and enjoy! *I am not responsible if you brick it*

hi,
thanks so much for replying.
one small question: can you recommend one the custom roms?
i see too many roms and build numbers, will glad to get an educated suggestion or guess to whats generic enough
not to brick the phone.

It depends on the device. If you can find a CyanogenMod 7.2 port for it somewhere I would recommend that.
If u can find out details and the specs (chipset, etc) u maybe able to find another Chinese clone that's identical that has ROM development for it
Search for different apps that'll give u this info, also try generic rooting tools
Hey all,
Okay so my best friend is a quadriplegic..He gave me a Digix Tablet model Tab-730,android 4.0.4,base band V1.10_20120929,kernal ver,3.0.8+,4 gb external card and 2 gb internal, to root so I could help him get the most out of his device with accessibility and such..Anyways I successfully rooted it with Bin5ary,and now I have a huge issue I cant fix....
Every time I reboot,it factory resets itself..Every time still showing superSU as an active app..
Then I cant install more than 1 app without it saying its full and to manage my apps..
I read online its a problem with busybox and to copy /system/sbin/busybox to system/bin and reboot..First of ll theres no /system/sbin/busybox to begin with because I cant get busybox in the system...I can make changes with a good file manager downloaded apk from my email, but cant install busybox after..I can install busybox first but then my stock file manager isnt letting me access root!
Please help my buddy and I out! Endless thanks to anyone who can!
