[APP] BEST APP EVER: Seriously: It's awesome: WIRELESS ADB!!! - Droid Incredible Themes and Apps

http://www.appbrain.com/app/siir.es.adbWireless
This is probably the greatest thing ever. You turn it on, type "adb connect <ipaddress>:<port>" (it shows it on the screen), then you can adb shell/push/pull into/to/from your phone without a USB cable!!! SWEET.
Thanks to the dev and whoever linked this to Adrynalyne (contagous)!
Edit: Got steady transfer rates at 6-700 KB/s, not bad!

wow, frickin sweeeeeeet

Zomg best ****ing app ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rmk loves it too!

nope just tested after seeing your question, and I tried the adb wireless again works flawless, and then tried through usb cable and works fine.

I haven't really used adb for anything yet. Do I need to do anything special to push files to the /system directory? For example, I want to put an edited build.prop file there - can I just push the new file to /system or do I need to change it from ro to rw? If so, how would I do that?
Thanks for helpin' out a n00b.

Just do
Adb remount
And then push away

I see that you are running skyraider, I just loaded up skyraider2.5 sense, and had this problem so I think it has to do with the rom, a reboot fixed it for me.
has anyone been able to get this to work with a password on your wireless connection? i put on a password today and it didnt work, took it off and worked

If you're rooted, you can change the build.prop file. (/system/build.prop)
Change the line ro.product.model=samsung SGH-i997 to

Transferring photo's to your computer

Wirelessly. What is the fastest way folks have figured out how to do this short of removing the memory card and putting it into your PC?
Tried dropbox....SLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOW
Trying Google Docs Uploading now... SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWW
Tried Sugarsync... SLOOOOOW
Tried emailing ....... Attachments too large....
Seems like Android still hasn't figured out a fast efficient way to get photo's from the phone to your desktop...
sucks.
Plug your phone into your computer and select mass storage on your phone. Then access your phone on your computer and your photos from your camera should be in the DCIM folder.
Try to Google your question and you will find many pages that will help with your problem.
http://www.wirefly.com/learn/how-to/how-to-transfer-files-and-music-to-an-android-phone-using-usb/
I also use Google + to upload all of my photos to Picasa automatically as they are taken.

The problem here is that despite having 4G on this thing...photo transfer wirelessly is still obscenely slow.

Had you left the "you should try Google first" out of your reply, I would have considered it a fairly friendly/helpful response.

No worries. Same here.
I just get testy with a lot of the "search first" or "google it" replies when a question is asked is all.
Ultimately a healthy message board does require a good dose of civility, and I gotta remember that it's best to respond in a civil manner even if I perceive something to not be civil. My bad.

Droid Charge freeze Hotspot

Hey guys, I'm working on my friend's phone and its rooted, with titanium backup PRO, and I'm looking to freeze the hotspot on his Verizon phone. Unfortunately I can't find the hotspot listed.. Is it listed under another name? Am I missing something? Thanks!
It is integrated into the ROM, not an app. You can't remove it with titanium.

Why would you wanna freeze the hotspot for? It doesn't slow down your phone by having it in the rom.

yea but before that you need to set up command prompts and downloading a jig file program with it and some other stuff. with odin there's no need to use command prompts, you just download the tar pit and csc files and flash away.
