[Q] Sim Manager - HTC Tornado

Hey there,
I have installed a new 6.5 ROM and I am missing the SIM Manager. The problem is that I exported all my contacts with the SIM Manager of my 6.1 Windows to a backup file (contactbackup.dcb) using the Dopod SIM Manager which was installed on 6.1
Now I want to restore this file but I only could find the SIM Manager for Touchscreen devices so it didn't work
Has anyone a cab or exe of the SIM Manager I am looking for? =)
Thanks in advance!

I had the same problem. Finally done this with another phone with WM 6.1 ROM.
Do you know the software version that works?

look at this post for the SIM manager and this one for a better strategy next time.
Both in the same thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=452144

Thanks tobbie I'll try this version of SIM Manager... Tryed one, but restore function didn't work
P.S. I know PIM Backup program, but I mean SIM contacts backup restore. This program can't do it

Intent MIDP manager problems

Hi! I have a T-Mobile SDA and I deleted some files which were under Application Data -> TAO. I have an I-mate ROM installed (2.6 something)
Needless to say, the Java midlets i had installed (Opera mini and Gmail) do not work anymore. What's worse is that I cant reinstall them. Every time i try to, I get an error message (invalid java archive).
Any ideas besides hard reseting the phone? Maybe someone can email me the folder on their phone?
Many thanks!
I've got an Imate Rom on my tmobile sda as well, let me know what files you need . . . or which ones you have so I can send the others.
I am using an Orange C600 ROM on my Vodafone V1240, i guess it has the same files on that folder, try this attched file..
I have this same frickin problem with a stock SDA. THE TAO manager blows hard

Copy my contact

I've two phone, O2 Atom and HTC Touch, running WM5 and WM6.1,
how to I copy my contact from Atom(WM5) to Touch(WM6.1)?
I can't sync using pc bcoz my Atom usb connection is not working.
Is there any application that can copy all contact in my Atom into one file and bluetooth to my Touch? I've been thinking using the Sprite Backup to backup on my Atom and then pass the backup file to my Touch and recover back, will it work? Both using different windows mobile.
download PIMBackup 2.8 from the forum, backup your contacts, and reload them on your touch using PIMBackup
is it work for different WM? and is there any where to backup my MMS on WM5 (atom) and recover it back in WM6.1(Touch)? Using PIMBackup as well?
it works for all versions of WM.. as far as i know..
and yes, you can port from different versions.
oh ok.... thanks a lot for the help
no problem

Can't remove TomTom

Hello
I.ve flashed my Touch Cruis to the original Dutch HTC WM 6.1.
After the flash a peace of TomTom is still in the machine.
I can't remove via Programms and it's also not possible to reinstall the program.
Does anybody know how to solve this problem.
I also did a hard reset but this won't solve the problem either.
Hope somebody knows what i have to do now
Thanks

I.ve got new information. In the Windows directory there's a file called TTN.cab.
This file seems to be "read only and system.
I.ve try to change the attributes with TotalCommander but that won't work.
Can't delete the file because of the attributes. I've serch the registry for TomTom entrancesbut couldt't find one either Please is there somebody who can help me.
Total Commander clearly shows it's part of the ROM, and I'm afraid you won't be able to remove it.

Ok if that's true why can't i install ie again.
Do i maybe have to upgrade TomTom tot a newer version because the version i have won't install either anymore. By the way the version i got was installed before the Upgrade to WM 6.1
Hard reset will install all original software (including TomTom), but will also delete all your data and non-ROM software, so do backup first.
I don't use TomTom, so I don't know if upgrade is possible.

Flashing WM6.5 ROM to Wizard from MiniSD card?

Hi all,
I've been following this forum for a few years & have never had any problems with flashing until now.
But then I bought a new laptop last month & it runs Vista Basic! When I attempt to flash using WMDC, the ROM's VistaUpdate utility shuts down at 0%.
I did convert my XP Pro installation to a VM running under VirtualBox; but have been unable to successfully to make a valid ActiveSync connection to the Wizard under VirtualBox.
The ROM I'm using is XDA2'S WM6.5 (with CHome) {Build 21202}; from reading the forum, it appears that flashing from an SD card requires a ROM image from another phone.
Has anyone successfully flashed this ROM from an SD card? And does anyone know where this ROM image from another phone could be obtained?
Thanks for your help.

Somebody else has to dump the ROM to a card for you. I don't have a Wizard but maybe somebody else with that ROM can dump it for you.
How to do it is written in the service manual.

Backing up contacts

Hello
I own a HTC Diamond 2 phone. I want to back up my contacts from time to time, in order to do this Windows Mobile Device Center says I need Outlook to do this. So after some googling I came across Outlook Express 6 setup download page. However when i try to install it says 'Setup has detected a newer version of Internet Explorer already installed on this system. Setup cannot continue'. Im sure I have the correct setup file because I tried multiple download sources. What can I do?

Instead of using Outlook use Pim backup to bk all your contacts, messages etc.
Does Pim backup also work for Windows Mobile 6.5?
