Droid boot sound w/ intro - Droid Incredible Themes and Apps

Here's a boot sound I made. I plan on making a fairly impressive-looking animation to go with it, but I'll let you guys have this for now. Feel free to use it, and don't forget to give credit where credit is due!

[REQ] Droid2 Boot Animation/Sound for EVO?

Hey all, Hope everyone is well.
I've been digging around and neither my xda search Foo or Google-Foo have aided me in my search. I'm looking for a ported version of the Droid2 boot animation with sound for my EVO (running Myns Warm 2.2) I've got a feeling this is out there somewhere, I've just yet to find it. Any help would be appreciated guys
~Cheers
Arghh, back to the top with ye!
There's an app on the market called boot animation changer I think its free and you change your boot image with out flashing they have the og droid and droid incredible boot hopes this helps

No I think he wants the Droid 2 boot animation....(I currently think that it has been ported to only the nexus one)

I would love the Droid 2 boot animation as well. After reading this post awhile back, I did a wide search myself and only came up with the DroidX boot animation...and I am quite happy. However, if the Droid 2 boot animation gets ported, I'll jump on that one super fast
I found the Droid 2 boot animation for the Nexus One. I took a look inside and found it's not quite the same as our boot animation folders...it looked like there was no sound file, and it's not flashable.
If someone could please port this, and place the "Droid" sound in the proper place that would be out of this world kickass!!!!

I think you would like the droid pro one even better than this 1 but thats all up to what you like check it out http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-hacks/96106-droid-pro-boot-animation.html
You are right...the Droid Pro is a HOT boot animation! I would gladly take either one of them. However, I think we are posting these requests in the wrong place. If we asked in the "custom MODS, BOOT ANIMATIONS, SPLASH SCREENS thread....we might get further in our goals of porting these
Shameless bump. Lets get this back to the top.

Droid Charge Boot Animation

Hey I was wondering if there was a way we can use the stock droid charge boot animation as a live wallpaper somehow? I love the boot animation and it would make a great live wallpaper.

^Thanks for the response first of all ( 68 views and only 1 reply LOL!). I'm glad you like it and I'm sure many others would want it too....but either they're too shy or lazy to respond.
Yeah mods please move the thread if you have to, but since the live wallpaper would require significant tinkering I thought I'd put in the Dev section to see if anyone was up to the challenge.
You can make custom animations on these devices so I know a Dev can certainly extract the boot animation. But coding that into a live wallpaper is the hard part. I am going to try to get JT on this and see what he thinks.
This is slightly off topic, but how about ridding of the boot animation altogether? I'd like blankness when starting (it would be cool if there was underlying text that the boot animation covers showing status or similar.)

yeah I was gonna suggest that, possibly pm a dev here and see if its doable and whether they'd wanna try it

From what I undersdtand, the stock boot animation is a .qmg file, and is locked so it can not be edited. There is a way to port it to other phones, by editing the init.rc file, but turning it into a live wallpaper would require unlocking the .qmg file.
Heres the thread with the information I was able to find.

The bootanimaiton.zip can be used if the Kernel is modified to allow it.. I worked with IMNUTS a couple of nights ago on this.. Right now we are able to get the bootanimation to work but it never comes out of the bootanimation state..
hopefully when IMNUTS has more time he will give it another shot.

Well that is definately good news for using custom boot animations. I actually like the droid eye tho. I'd rather keep it.
Do you know of any way to get the stock boot animation decomplied, and create a bootanimation.zip for it instead of the .qmg files?
If possible, we could record the boot animation with a screen recorder and convert it into a live wallpaper.

It would need to capture during the boot process tho, I don't think thats possible.
Unless the HDMI out mirrors the boot screen. I could work with that.

I'm not too familiar how boot animations and live wallpapers are made, but I can imagine that you must be able to view the boot animation on your computer - how else would the developer that created it know what it looks like until he boots it up on the phone - and live wallpapers can probably be created using a video file. If I am right, someone would need to play the boot animation on their computer, capture it using fraps, and convert it into a live wallpaper. Sounds easy but it most likely isn't that simple.

The problem is, the boot anamation is contained in a .qmg file, and from what I read, it can not be played or changed using any programs that are readily available. I read somewhere that samsung makes a tool, but it costs $$.

Has anybody else noticed their boot animation go to **** after rooting? I rooted by the method of the Charge Kit, and now the animation is slow and jerky. Also, I saw this with lagfix both enabled and disabled.

Same. Before root it was awesome and after I flashed humble it got extremely jerky and laggy.

It might be possible to view your boot animation through your TV via microHDMI, then you could possibly use a capture card to record it, then use the video file for the wallpaper or convert that video file to a .gif and use that for a wallpaper. I don't know, I'm not a developer it's just a wild guess.
BTW, for people with laggy boot animations it's the kernel not the ROM that's causing it. Just go to the market and download a boot animation changer. Allow it to change your boot animation and there you go. All fixed, since the kernel won't allow you to actually change the boot animation this will just even out the lag. Worked great for me and will only have to be re-done if you wipe data/factory reset. Actually, hold on I'm going to do a quick how to guide seeing as I've posted how to fix this like 4 times now

I likee. Not that I reboot often but its nice to see something different.
I really like the part which is showing his 'brain' restarting. It would be good to just have that and have it loop, or possibly mix it with something else.
possible?

Everything is possible
I had a look at that first of all, but it was a bit "crap" having it on loop. To much flickering and didnt look to tidy.
Ive got another bootanim on the way, will take a while to convert the bits i want from the vid im ripping it from though.
Looks nice. Your device sure does take an age to boot up.
Very cool, nice work. Can't wait to see the next one .....

Custom Boot Logo Request

Personal request, but I think a lot of people might think this neat. I was watching an old tv show (Big O), and was wanting a custom boot logo like when Big O starts up. I seriously think it is pretty cool and if someone could make it or direct me to where to get something like this, that would be pretty neat.

Dragon bootanimation for Stunner 2

Hi folks,
here's the story: being a big fan of Stunner right from the moment I first found out about it, the capricorn bootanimation in Stunner 2 triggered the idea to try to create a different one that would put the focus on its real mascot: the Blue Dragon.
Though the final result isn't necessarily perfect, I still feel content with it as it comes close enough to what I had wanted to do.
So, while I originally did the animation just for myself, I decided to share it here, as sort of a fan's tribute to Stunner.
Credits go to neobuddy89 for the inspiration and kind approval; to whoever painted the Dragon in the first place and to www.obsidiandawn.com for their custom brushes and patterns with which most of the flames were done!
Here are the two versions:
1) the normal .zip (can simply be selected as custom boot animation in ROM Control - General User Interface, as most of you probably know):
https://www.dropbox.com/s/8tpq27jbxtvdujc/boot_upinflames_st2.zip
2) the CWM flashable one:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/otj9n0xcsa7r5co/boot_upinflames_st2_cwm.zip
The thumbnail below is an animated gif. It does not include the loops of the real animation and has a heavily reduced quality to fit the max attachment filesize.
Still, please click on it if you want to get somewhat of an idea of what the original looks like.
Thanks, mate. Being a dragon myself, now I just want my Note to loop reboot!

Yeah, it's a bit rough on dragons these days:
not only are they getting jolted and consequently molested There And Back Again, have to scamper all over the place just to get the blonde mum from Essos back to Westeros, now beyond all of that people here on xda seem to take pleasure in having them caught up in endless bootloops like treadmills...

Thank you, it's nice and well done. Just the firing animation is too fast (for my eyes, cannot look at it).

You know, the timing and the speed of the animation are always going to be a compromise.
While it's possible to define the pauses between the loops of the various parts separately, the speed is an overall parameter. Because I was trying to achieve a vibrant impression, I decided to use 35 fps which is rather fast indeed.
Here's a version with the speed reduced to 25 fps - although it feels to me as if the dragon's rather yawning flames instead of actually belching them...:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/170a4fur1q95587/BUIFL%4025fps.zip
If you want to, have a look at the desc.txt in the zip file and modify it to your liking. Just keep in mind that a working bootanimation has to be saved as an uncompressed .zip file.
