Ok this HAS to be done. I wonder why someone who has the skills to make boot animations hasn't made this one already!!
Im sure most of you who are Android fanatics and who hate Apple (i think its safe to assume if ur the former then ur also the latter ) must surely know of the famous pic of the Android mascot takin a leak on the apple logo. Ill post the pic for those of u who havnt seen it. (shame on you!! lol)
My idea would be to have the apple symbol stay where it is in the picture, and:
1) Have the Android peak out from the left of the picture
2) Look down at the apple (like how Southpark characters look at someone when thinking, "what..the..****?")
3) Then look up to his left then his right (to see if ne one is around)
4) Walk over to the apple
5) Look left then right again
6) Take a leak on it
7) Turn around and walk back off the screen to the left
8) After he is off the screen then flash ANDROID across the top using that same font shown in the pic
This would be my bootanimation FOR LIFE rofl. So plz, anyone out there with the skills to make this come tru I beg you, PLZ CREATE THIS!!!!
brilliant, do you have to be rooted to replace boot animation?
That would be a great great thing
This was done, not to the "peeking out and being sneaky" extent you describe, but one of the old G1 builds had a boot ani of android feeding apple a good stream.
Ill look into building a Nexus one though, just I dont remember the necessary formatting for nexus boots.

Must have missed that on my g1. Would be awesome if u could make my version come to life on the N1 !!!

There is a thread in desire apps section for this bootanimation, take a look.

Well Ill be damned..I like that one, so im just gonna use it. But if ne one wants to make mine plz feel free to !!!
I like his animation a lot better. The new apple logo gives it a touch of modern-ess to our N1's. Can someone please make this?
Yea like I just stated, I would still appreciate if someone made my version. Although breaking the apple with the bat is awesome, I think the sneakyness with a Southpark feel would be funnier. And yea, the modern apple would be more visually appealing along with smoother animations.
Maybe Ill have my friend make one for me since he does Flash and is good with Illustrator.

That was painful to read.
I got one of my designer friends working on this in Flash. Hopefully he will add his creative twist and we can get something really nice.
Sounds like a great idea, subscriped to the thread.
This is my first thread, but I think it's a pretty badass request.
I am a DIEHARD Myn Warm TwoPointTwo user, and I won't stray...except when I went to MIUI to see what this "whole new" UI was about. I didn't care for it anywhere near as much as Myn's, however the lockscreen is the best one I've seen since OWNING a smart phone.
Other lockscreens work on our EVO....rotory, vanilla, and through an app the iphone. MIUI is already on our EVO, can someone just find the code and bring it to us (JsChiSurf )
I am sure I am not alone on this request...lol, if you ever tried MIUI and came back to a sense ROM you know the lockscreen from MIUI is brilliant and should be available to us all.
YES....NO??
I would like to see that as well. I believe I've seen similar features on some lock screens but non as well done as MIUI.
I would like to see that as well , i like how you can play music and on the lockscreen you can see the equalizer

Yeah, I forgot about the equalizer part...that was HOT! I also like the charging effects...while charging it has some awesome animation going on.
Please, anyone....lmao!!!
id like to see this for CM6 as well
Come on people!!!! lol, that just about 250 views so far, which leads me to believe there are folks interested!!!!! If it sound good to you, and you'd like to see this happen, SAY SO.
The more people that would like to see this Lockscreen on the Sense ROMS (and CM6) the better!!!!!
POST "ME TOO"
This way the GENIUS MODDERS out there can see the demand for this, and then spend the CRAZY ASS TIME it takes to make it happen for us
It might have some special framework in the MIUI rom, but i could be wrong
Just a me too bump
Swyped from a galaxy far far away...
I tried MIUI for about 5 minutes, and the only thing that impressed me was the lockscreen. So, consider this a "me too" vote...

I wish I could make something like that..
It'll happen!! Just keep signing up here with "ME TOO'S" and we'll eventually catch the eye of a GOD-LIKE modder such as JsChiSurf (wink, wink, nudge, nudge...lol, kidding - I am sure you have a ton on your plate. It's just you're the best of the best and we all know it )
....and he/they will either tell us, it will never work.....or, he'll look into it for us
Keep signing up here guys, keep this to the top!!!
For those who don't know about this LOCKSCREEN....nandroid backup, and flash MIUI - do some charging and look at the lock screen. Then listen to music and look at the lockscreen. Nandroid restore...and tell me you dont want that lockscreen on your ROM!!
Yep me as well.

I recently started learning how to do some work in the community with splash screens. Initially I just did three as copies of an image from another community member (got his permission), but I seem to be making more and more thus the need for a singular thread.
So far, these are all simply splash screens for the Synergy Roms, however as splash screens go, well it doesn't matter what rom you're running, would just be a bit strange running savaged mod with a Synergy splash, but thats on y'all.
Anyway, as I get better then I'll branch into boot animations or lockscreen mods and maybe even theming roms, but for the moment this is it.
If you have a particular image you want made into one, I can give it a shot. I wish I had more talent as a digital artist, but since I don't then I use images I can find and get permission when at all possible.
Thanks for stopping by.
Instructions for installing any of my splash screens:
1) Remove everything after the "-" from the filename so it is just "PC36IMG" or if you have file extensions set to show, it will read "PC36IMG.zip".
2) Copy it to the root of your SD Card.
3) Reboot the phone into bootloader.
4) Bootloader should automatically detect it and ask you if you want to install it, hit Volume up for yes.
5) A couple seconds later it will prompt you to reboot with another Volume up, go fer it.
6) Your new splash screen will show up, the peasants will rejoice, and peace will reign across the land. Well, can't guarantee all that, but look for one of the above to happen.
Some examples of whats going on in this thread:
Synergy Splash Screens
So this is the set that I took the image from whiterider13 with his permission, they turned out pretty decent.
Some other Rom Splash Screens
More Synergy Screens
Miscellaneous Splash Screens
Testing out this style, seems to have gotten good reception so far. Will probably tweak it so it doesn't look quite so hacked together a little later, but let me know what you think. I'll probably start sorting through a green and red version later.
Three more I just wrapped up, feels like a step backwards from my last one, but they look decent. I think I did them just to offer variety more than anything.

Alright, I gotta admit, these look pretty slick in my opinion, despite the simplicity. Getting the color to change right was a big pain, and I'm still going to work on getting the blue one to look a hair cleaner than it does, but overall I think they look good. Hope you all enjoy.

Digital Green
Hello again forum. So I spent quite a bit more time on this than the original blue one, I tried pretty hard to make sure it doesn't look too "busy". I'm still not entirely satisfied with it, but it appears to be coming along as a work in progress. However I do think it looks pretty cool for what it is right now. Let me know what you guys think though, thanks.
Crafted a simple signature, nothing fancy, just functional.
Great job on the splash screens....I have personally chosen the green swoosh splash as my splash screen...Thanks and once again, great work.

Exactly what i was thinking.
OP, every one of these is beautiful. I will be changing my splash, i guess. I've been using the same one since about august '10.
Thanks for these, and thanks for always offering a blue version.

Now if you could add some animation to that it could also make an awesome bootanimation

Actually that is kind of the plan, gotta fix the way Gimp is processing the font, clean everything up a bit, make a couple of small tweaks to it, generate the red version and reverse produce the final product for the other colors, then animate it. I'm also tempted to do a "noir" version of each splash screen cause I know there's anti-color folks out there. I don't want them to be simple black, white and shades of gray....I'm looking for them to maintain the same feel, just a lot more subtly. But that will be a bit further down the road. Thanks though for all the praise.

I worked on this for hours. I got all the png pics right, used a gif of some flames, added the Kindle Fire boot logo, along with the "part0 and desc.txt" files. Created bootanimation.zip but no matter what I did it wouldnt show up on boot. So I was browsing around for a solution and found this tool. Worked great. I then tweaked and tweaked the size and timing trying to get it to look the best without a lot of hiccups. It does have a few delays right at the beginning but I got it the best I could. I think it came out pretty good considering Ive never created anything for android before. Im pretty much a follow tutorial only guy. But I got in the mood tonight to try to create and contribute. So anyway feel free to check it out.

Just make a copy of your original bootanimation at system/media, rename my Fire on Fire bootanimation.zip to bootanimation.zip then place it in same folder at system/media, reboot and enjoy (I Hope )
Looks cool, I'll try this out later.
this is really cool and works great with my Kindle Fire
Nice work man!
Created another.
I created another one. This one is called Kindle Fire Rising. Links below.

uhhhh just a thought. Those are really neat, I will be installing one, but you need to change that stock wallpaper to pimp these out properly
Really neat animations though. Get us more
Edit: please don't take that as an insult or me being a butthead. Was just being funny.

No offense taken. Hey call me strange, but I actually like the Fires wallpapers. I love the whole OS and launcher. Ive tried other custom roms like cyanogen, but ended up going back to stock. Just bought a Xoom today for under $300. So Ill most likely be playing around with that. But I havent stopped with the Fire. I had another boot animation all done, but ended up scrapping it. Everything looked great except for the logo. It was blurry. So Ill have to work on that one some more before I post it.
I have to admit, the stock ones have a nice resolution to them. Some are really nice and then the others are just meh. I do hope you keep at it. Those are neat. I want one of a dragon coming out and setting the word "Kindle" on fire. That would win me in a second

Yay! I had an idea That would be neat. Maybe replace the fire on that dragon with the animation you already have...not sure how that works. I'll leave that up to you
Holy crap batboy! Not only are these usefull in a real world sense, they actualy work and give you the baddest boot up animation ever. Also got rid of that horrible power up sound I could never seem to kill. ChainFire does it again! I am SO happy right now, if you dont have this your life is not as bright as it could be! I almost forgot, you can run them both at the same time in a split screen like I am doing in the pic, or you can run one or the other. I really like the split screen. You can also warm boot from either of them at any time. Very handy. Last thing, there are free versions of this from ChainFire but the paid version isn't that much for both and you can hide the copyright so it looks all custom and such.
Device using Xda Premium
You can even double the size of the type, its the best boot up animation ever!
