[ROM] VaelPak 2.3 [10/29/10] - NonSense - [HTC B149#11][FPSU] - 3.30.651.2 OTA - EVO 4G Android Development

I created this ROM because there are none available that have everything I want. It has treated me well so far and seems to have some features that others have asked for so I am sharing it with anyone who might want it. To the best of my knowledge, it is the most senseless ROM there is currently available without going to AOSP, and offers a unique mixture of Sense and AOSP.
Based on 3.29.651.5 OTA with 3.30.651.2 slipstreamed in
Packaged with OTA HTC Build 149#10 kernel
For King's kernels see here

Everything should work. I don't have 4g near me to test it though.

Thanks, I'll try this out tomorrow. With so many roms coming out in the past day or two, this is the only one that has caught my interest.

It seems to work good it just my 4G is acting up. Don't know if it is me or the ROM

This is a pretty fast rom. I'm liking it. but why is the sync notification on all of the time, even though i turned synching off?

Looks great!
Thanks for putting this up.

Make sure you fill in your Google account information when it runs through the setup wizard on FIRST boot. If you don't do that, and put it in later, the sync notification seems to do this. I've run into it on many roms.

looks great..... gonna give this one a test drive

I can make another version with it included. Just the dialer or Contacts as well? Both are attached here from AOSP if you wish to replace them yourself. You will need something like Root Explorer to make /system RW and replace the files in /system/app or use the following commands
adb remount rw
adb push Phone.apk /system/app
adb push Contacts.apk /system/app
adb reboot
If this is a common want, how far do you guys want me to take it? There is also Gallery3d and a few other AOSP apps that I can drop in here.

does kingklicks 3rd kernal play nice with this? i'm too lazy to try for myself

As AOSP as possible would be fantastic.

Haven't tried yet, is the clock app HTC or AOSP? If not AOSP can you add thatin? Much much better than the HTC clock app.

[ROM] eViL De-SiRe Barebone A2SD v2.01 & Kernels [6/4/10]

First off, thanks to the team the fixed the USB bricks, Kubino99 et al.
Big thanks to Paul from Modaco for root and A2SD.
YOU MUST FIRST HAVE ROOT! FOLLOW THIS GUIDE TO GET SETUP.
CURRENT RECOVERY DOES NOT FORMAT DALVIK CACHE, IT IS BROKEN! USE LINUX OR PARTITION THE MEMORY CARD VIA RECOVERY!
To Flash via Linux, you will need to boot to Linux to get to Recovery
Code:
Root Method 1
1. Your device should now be off. Unplug the device from your computer.
2. Turn it on again while holding down the 'volume down' button this time. The screen will look similar to before, but will say 'HBOOT' instead of 'FASTBOOT'.
3. Use the volume buttons and the power button to select the 'RECOVERY' option. You should then see a screen with a red triangle - at this point, plug it into your Linux or OSX computer.
4. From 'push files' zip that you downloaded you'll see a file called 'recovery-linux.sh' or 'recovery-mac.sh'. Run the one appropriate to your operating system and the screen of your device should change to display the green recovery image menu.
5. In the recovery image (moving around using the optical trackball), select 'Wipe -> Wipe data /factory reset', wipe cache, wipe dalvik.
6. Then 'Flash zip from sdcard' and choose the rooted update. Confirm with the trackball and the update process will begin. It'll take a little while, so go make a nice cup of tea.
When the flash has finished, reboot, and you are DONE!
Code:
Root Method 2
1- copy the ROM .zip to your SD card
2- boot off Paul's .iso, perform the first steps in the tutorial, without connecting the phone; skip 'sudo ./step1.sh'
3- put phone in Recovery mode as indicated in the tutorial, and connect it to your machine
4- run 'sudo ./step2.sh', wait until you get the green screen with the recovery options on the phone
5- wipe data/cache/dalvik cache
6- install the .zip you copied earlier (leave rootedupdate.zip alone)
7- once flashing is complete, reboot the phone and... you're all set
Thanks cezarL
To get to Recovery via Windows, download and extract this to your adb/tools folder. You will use the recovery-windows.bat in the pushfiles folder for your step 4.(thanks to nilezon via afiorillo)
I also recommend wiping cache & Dalvik cache before flashing. CURRENTLY DALVIK CACHE CANNOT BE CLEARED IN RECOVERY. Use Linux or Repartition in Recovery!
To configure A2SD (thanks to afiorillo)
Code:
While in Recovery, using the optical trackpad, now select "Partition sdcard" -> "Partition SD" and issue a SWAP=0, EXT2=512, FAT32=<remaining> partition command (read carefully the instructions provided on-screen by the procedure, you'll have to use the volume keys too, here).
Find and issue the "SD:ext2 to ext3" command.
Go back to the Recovery Console main menu and select "Reboot system now". While rebooting, unplug the Desire from the USB port.
*Note that this will format your whole SD card. Make a backup before doing this if you need.
*All builds include stuffs from previous builds unless noted in the change log.

v1.1 A2SD Split - Full Build
Alternate a2sd method - Dalvik will be stored in data/dalvik-cache (your internal memory will decrease as apps are installed, but some apps should open faster) and app data goes to SD. 140MB+ free space on Data after first boot.
Build is odexed, more space on Data (deodexed builds creates dex files in data/dalvik-cache, so you get less space on data)
Removed wired tether
Zipalign on boot
Added back HTC Weather
v1.1 D2C Bare - Dalvik to Cache
Experimental. THIS IS NOT AN APPS TO SD BUILD. Almost the same build as 1.0 except for the following changes.
Dalvik is moved to Cache instead of Data partition. Cache available is around 38MB. It may not seem like much, but I have around 42 apps installed and 14mb free in cache. Large apps will obviously eat up space faster. Also, you CAN boot w/o an SD card and access apps while disk is mounted.
Build is odexed, more space on Data (deodexed builds creates dex files in data/dalvik-cache, so you get less space on data)
Removed wired tether
Zipalign on boot

No APN's (manually add it) - Work around: Download APN backup from market after you have entered or have good APN's, then restore it when flashing a new ROM.
Awesome that you are modding Desire roms! Have been following you on the Liquid scene and your roms rock
Very nice, is it possible to remove more sense apps?
Thanks for the first custom rom for desire
Please include apps2sd
Can you take out HTC sense from the ROm. I'd like to try vanilla Eclair

Why not just turn it off then? I know this was possible on the Hero... to be fair, I've not check on the Desire.
If there is one or two of the removed apps that we actually want, where can the apk's be found?
Awesome work)
We here in Russia are interested, which languages are present in this ROM?
And also +1 for A2SD

Yeah i installed this ROM after i'd done Paul's one, and all i'm getting is
"The application HTC Sense (process com.htc.launcher) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
Everytime i retry i just get back through the same loop!

I could do without friendstream and footprints too.. (as stripped/lite as possible)
Do you have a screenshot of your "Transparent black notification tray"
Also: have you given any thoughts to a "wake screen with middle button" mod, and perhaps a silent switch on lockscreen?

I like to have the nexus dia-er (or even better, the moddded dialer by wysie) and the nexus mms.apk. I tried to push them but ended up in a bootloop
Any help would be great

As I said before, give us an option to put these back in though, I use Friend Stream for example.
keeping htc widgets would also be nice
yep i wiped and cleared data using the recovery menu before i then installed the zip.

[ROM] SupererSonic v2.0 - Updated 6/16 - Apps2SD!

Note: Please look at changelog at bottom of post. I also posted a known bug list for this version at the bottom. Please read this.
Name: SupererSonic
Description:
Well my first Evo rom is done. It’s nothing special but it has some things none of the other roms out right now have. Basically the idea is that this is a completely working rom with no issues that I have seen (please comment if this is not the case) with some added features. One thing to also note is that I also created update zip files for the removed apps so if I removed something that you want you can easily just download the update and flash it.
Installation Instructions:
Download superersonic-signed.zip at the bottom of these instructions and copy it to the root of your sd card
Boot into recovery. Currently this is only possible by using the evo-recovery scripts created by Toast. If you don’t know what I’m talking about check out my rooting post
Perform a nandroid backup of your device
Perform a full wipe of your device (absolutely necessary. Issues will arise if this is not done)
Select flash zip and flash superersonic-signed.zip and reboot when it’s finished.
Changelog:
6-16-09
- Rebased off of new deodexed .6 OTA update
- Changed maps back from Brut 4.2 to default 4.2
- Added symlinks for BusyBox so tools are available without needing to type in busybox first
- Added SpareParts
- Added Rom Manager
- Removed boot sound
- Added init.d scripts
- Lowmemkiller settings changed to aggressive
- Deadline scheduler changed to default
- Zipalign apks on boot
- Added DarkTremor's Apps2SD script
- Modified /system/lib/modules/bcm4329.ko to enable 802.11n (Need testers because I don't have a wireless n router)
- Updated WiFi Tether to be version 2.0.5 Pre2
- Updated Market app to newest version
6-9-10
- Added Astro File Manager
- Added hosts file to block ads
- Added wireless tether
- Added Busybox
- Added Newest SU and Superuser APK
- Updated Facebook to v1.2
- Updated Google Maps to Brut Modified Google Maps v4.2 (Adds features such as caching map tiles to sd card)
- Replace Qik with new Qik on Market
- Deodexed all apks in rom
- Renamed otacerts, zip to prevent OTA updates
- Removed:
Amazon MP3
Customization Setup and Settings Providers (Saves memory)
HTC Field Test and Field Trial apks
GSD (Not sure what it does but it wastes memory and battery and doesn’t hurt to remove)
HTC Mobile Guide
HTC Setup Wizard (Keeps running even after first setup. Just set up your accounts after the rom is running.)
PDF Viewer
HTC Stocks, Stock widget and all stock related apks
HTC Footprints and widget
HTC NaviPanel
HTC Ringtone Trimmer
HTML Viewer (Not necessary for anything)
QuickOffice
All Sprint apps except Visual Voicemail including Sprint Navigation (Google Maps Nav is better), Sprint TV and widget, Sprint NFL, Sprint Nascar and the Sprint Zone app.
Teeter
Sprint Hotspot App
Bugs:
Apps2SD seems to be working fine however the apps I included (Rom Manager, Wifi tether, etc) don't seem to be showing after a flash. I assume this has something to do with apps2sd but am not sure. I am working on this.
Apps2SD Note:
To use apps2sd you must have an ext partition on your sd card. If you don't already just back up all your data (it will be erased), boot into recovery, go to the partition option and partition your card there. This method is from DarkTremor (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=670087) so it also supports swap if you have a swap partition. After you partition your sd card apps2sd will work automatically.

Well done I will load this soon.

only problems I found so far is.. NO widgets loaded up on first boot.. and when I load the HTC home clock it doesn't get weather.. I tried even loading it manually but no go. next is GPS seems to be on by default, i had to manually disable it..and location services are disabled for "Use Network" Kinda back-words from what stock does
and some apps aren't showing up in the market.. i.e fandango..

The widgets not loading by default was intentional. I always end up deleting everything on the homescreens anyway so I made a clean slate for whatever ya'll want.
The GPS thing is kind of wierd. I'll see about changing that. The clock is also on 24 hour time by default. Forgot to mention that issue.
EDIT: Also for the market, try wiping your dalvik cache. That should fix it.
Looks like everything I wanted to do eventually.
Thanks for this! Downloading now

Good call. If someone does a benchmark of the OTA I will do a bench of this. If not I will try to flash the OTA and then flash back to this. Best benchmark app anyone?

[Release] Stock FRG01 Deodexed + Extras

What is it? FRG01B, Deodexed, Rooted, Busybox, Stock Kernel + Extras
(Special thanks to Cellzealot for the leak!)
Where’d it come from? My Droid World
Why? I like clean and simple roms. This rom should be a great base to build on, theme or just run as an everyday rom. Going forward, any themes and kernels made for FRG01B or compatible with FRG01B will work for this rom. (You may run into trouble with the Mms.apk since I pulled it from CM, see FRG01B – Stock - Deodexed, no apk mods at all)
FRG01B Deodexed - Market Fixed - Update.zip
This is what I set out to do originally, for people that want an untouched, deodexed rom with a working market and a good version of busybox. I didn’t change anything else.
metiCkModV4.2 - Update.zip - Yay!! - If you are upgrading from a previous version of metiCkMod then you don't need to wipe
- Added Chrometophone app
- Added build name & base under About phone
- Added Wifi scan tweak to save battery life
- Removed weather channel logos from news & weather widget
See full list of tweaks and mods below…
What I did…
System Stuff:
- Fixed the market sync problem (All apps show up in market as 2.1-update-1)
- Installed busybox V. 1.16.2
- Stock kernel – Defaults to 600mhz but can be overclocked to 800mhz, also allows for wired & wireless
- Added notifications & ringtones from N1, DX and the Droid of course
- Removed unnecessary scripts from xbin
- Added wifi scan tweak to save battery life
- Added build name & base under About phone
- Removed weather channel logos from news & weather widget
App Stuff:
All the traditional apps are all included. I only removed Google Goggles and the VM stub
- Added Chrometophone app V1.1 (Credit to Google)
- Removed weather channel logos from news & weather widget
- Modded launcher (removed 60+ jpgs and added new ones)
- Download Crutch Lite (allows the download of any file type) (Kanged the idea from Team Chaos)
- File Manager (from the motoroi system dump, allows you to manage files on the sdcard) (Kanged the idea from Team Chaos)
- Updated Messaging App (Credit to Cyanogenmod) (includes tons of options including black background and different led colors)
- Rom Manager (Thanks Koush!) (Rom Manager Premium!)
- Wired Tether (Project Site)
- Wireless Tether (Project Site)
Recommended apps:
Flash Player (Beta 3)
Froyo Add-ons (Chrome to Phone V1.1 & Flash Beta 3)
SetCPU (Available on market or XDA)
HTC_IME (awesome keyboards)
As you can see I didn’t do much, but if you want a really clean stock 2.2 rom with the latest stuff, then this is what you want.
Clockworkmod Instructions: Place file anywhere on your sdcard, boot into recovery, select install zip from sdcard, choose zip from sdcard, and select the appropriate zip file.
SPRecovery Instructions: Rename file to update.zip, place on the root of your sdcard (meaning not in a folder on your sdcard), boot into recovery
Wipe or not? It is my recommendation that everyone wipes data & cache no matter what build they are coming from. Also, you should only use titanium to re-install apps without the data. It kinda sucks to re-enter all your info, accounts and bookmarks (especially with all these leaks) but in the end, if you run into problems you won't wonder if it’s because you didn't wipe data/cache.
For those of you that want to push and pull files to the droid. I did not edit the boot.img so before you type adb remount in adb you need to type adb root, wait for it to connect and run as root, then you can hit adb remount.
Do I have to wipe my phone? Or can I leave it and just download it?
How can I download this ROM?
Sorry guys, I didn't know XDA had an approval process. I haven't posted here before so I cant put links up. You can grab the downloads from Droid forums in the droid hacks section or google frg01 extras. The first link should be it. Sorry again about the lack of links. I will see if I can get an admin to let me post them.
I love it! It is a beest combined with things like black notification bar and Spare Tools. HTC IME download here doesn't work but getting it from another source creates beestly ROM! Thank you!

NEW!! - metiCkMod - Blackbar - Update.zip
- metiCkModV4.3 with Black notification panel (based on the Pl3x rom version)
- Completely based off of FRG01B
NEW!! - metiCkMod - Dark Glass - Update.zip - This is a FULL rom with a modified Smoked Glass theme port. As most of you know, I didn't create the original theme, that would be Adamz. All credit for the theme goes to him. he obviously worked really hard on it when he compiled it. This rom has a metiCkModV4.3 base, a blackbar notification panel and smoked glass widgets. I purposely didn't port the blue color scheme and the htc sense icons. I like the vanilla android base much better. There may be some things I need to theme that I didn't get to yet. If you see anything let me know. Questions, concerns, feedback? Post it up in this thread. Enjoy and thank you Adamz for your excellent work! If I get enough request I will port the whole theme for people to enjoy.

[ROM] xd1 new version 1.2.5_fix

Basically, this rom is made to be as fast as possible.
It also should meet the needs of many users since the common-use apps are still there.

No OC, just the stock speed (800 mhz). But please note, that is the BEST score i had and i performed the benchmark ten times or more in order to test the rom.
I got different responses from quadrant, but most of the times the score is above 1200, often around 1250 and sometimes i get more, rarely it goes below 1200 (if occurs, it occurs at the first try).
Also note i tested on a clean or almost clean xd1, just a couple of apps installed.
But all these values are for me, not sure you'll get the same, you just need to test by yourself
ok, it finished downloading this time. Btw, this rom is great thanks
rom looks nice, could you maybe provide the stock/froyo theme for the statusbar icons?
i dont really like the overall greenish thing. looks kinda infected or radiated

anyway, here are the files to restore the stock statusbar and overall aspect.

Thank you cant wait to try. Very fast download server.
Thanks again.
Without any overclock and all my apps instaled, got 1230-1260 at quadrant (3 times) and 11.9 MFLOPS at Linpack. Will try to OC and see where I can go =)
OC 1200/64, 600/32, 300/18 => 1713 quadrant, 16.9 MFLOPS (didn't used any task killer)
-----
Nice rom, but there are some minor things that I didn't like.
- The green color (it could be nice if other items are green too, make a white version please).
- Some things on the dialer are in english (I'm using brazilian portuguese)
Things that I really liked:
- Speed
- 3G/signal out of the box was ok
- battery icon (circular with numbers, really nice)
- Many basic apps that i need out of the box (oi file manager, calendar, calc, voice commands, e-mail, maps, motorola music player, terminal and system recovery)
Thanks again!
I just applied this over JBoogies Liquid Arc, as it was already Froyo no need to do anything else. So far this one looks good. As I was using JBoogie ROM before this, I should still be able to downgrade
Hi, I tried your rom now and noticed that the home button is not working. There is haptic feedback on pressing it but no action displayed on screen.
Can you or anyone please point out to what the issue might be?

Home Button works great here. Did u wiped your data and cahce before flashing the 3.4.2-155 sbf?
Maybe u can do this and then start again with flashing the sbf and then apply the Rom with the zip package.
Greetz
Maybe you only need to reconfigure Zeam
Option Button (dunno the right name, it's the first button before Home) => Preferences => Reset to default
For those who think the green stuff is too extreme:
well i'm working on the framework to replace the green with a more conventional light blue
If i'll have a bit of time also a white version in the future..
how i can add arabic in this rom ????

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):
Q: How do i get 2G/4G icons?
A: Inside /system/app, is an apk called "AltSystem". This is a very small theme engine theme that i built and should show in Theme Chooser. To
get 2G/4G icons, go to Theme Chooser, and apply AltSystem. All it does is swap out the data icons, doesn't touch anything else.
Q: This is my first time installing your ROM, and i'm stuck in a bootloop. I chose to install Harsh's kernel. Help!!
A: STOP, reboot into recovery, and re-install. This time, select stock CM9 kernel. Once it's booted, you can go back and install Harsh's kernel separately. It happens very randomly.
Q: This has ROM Control, so can I use AOKP Backup? It says it's not a AOKP ROM.
A: Well of course it isn't an AOKP ROM, but i can confirm that AOKP Backup now works with Genesis. IDK if Romann fixed it so ROMs w/ RC can use it
or what, but it has been brought to my attention that the latest version of AOKP Backup works fine, just continue through the warning and backup/restore away.
Q: Which baseband does this ROM support?
A: March 2012 and below. If you are currently on the March 2012 baseband, then make sure you select the "March 2012" option under Baseband support in AROMA.
If you're still on the old baseband (like me) then you don't have to do anything. The "Anything before 2012" option is selected by default
Q: Why doesn't Bluetooth calling work?
A: Because you're probably on the March 2012 baseband. BT calling doesn't work on anything above 2.3.4 when you're on the March 2012 baseband.
Q: Why do I hear a weird popping noise when I'm in a call?
A: Because you're probably on the March 2012 baseband and you didn't select the correct option in Aroma.
Q: Why is video playback choppy?
A: Because we need hardware acceleration, and until we get the necessary drivers, stuff like that won't right.
Q: Why can't i record video?
A: See above answer....
Q: Why do you not recommend using these wipe tools prior to flashing Genesis
A: It has been addressed here:
Mr. Apocalypse said:
Ok, this is my take on these wipe tools if anyone wants to know why:
I know i can't speak for the rest of the developers here so i've put this in my thread. There's nothing wrong with the CWM way of wiping. As a former kernel dev, when CWM had to be built with the kernel, i've seen the source for the wiping methods, and they work just fine. A manual /data wipe and factory reset did it's job. A manual /system wipe wasn't really needed because in most, if not all CM9 or AOSP based roms you'll see this line in the updater-script:
Code:
format("ext4", "EMMC", "/dev/block/mmcblk0p1", "0");
Which basically formats the /system directory before the new rom is extracted. If a dev includes any other wipe commands in the updater-script to wipe data, cache, etc. they are the same ones used by CWM. So it falls under the category of "If it ain't broke don't fix it". CWM methods of wiping before flashing have worked fine since it's creation.
However, sometimes it needs a little thorough cleaning, or maintenance between flashing the hell out of it. That's when i think the tools are good. Every once in a blue moon, sure you can Nullify, or use Cleanup Batch. But not between EVERY SINGLE FLASH, or when when the smallest thing goes wrong.
Now, there seems to be an issue when using one of these tools, and immediately flashing an ICS rom. Not everyone experiences it, but some have. To make sure we're all starting from the same slate, and to ensure EVERYONE has an equally, smooth flash of Genesis, i strongly encourage you NOT to use one of these tools prior to flashing Genesis. Use the wipe tools provided in ClockworkMod Recovery. I know people have their own beliefs and that's ok . But this is my ROM, and if you choose to flash my ROM, i ask that you respect the recommended installation instructions that come with it, so we all can enjoy it, and report what's wrong or what needs to be fixed, since it's still in Beta stages.
Now that i have said this, i will not reply to any posts that have anything to do with a bad install IF they have used these tools prior to flashing. I can't provide support for them since i didn't make them. With that being said know that i have nothing against these tools or it's developers. I'm all for people learning stuff about Android, and we're all here to make stuff a bit easier for people who use this phone, since LG doesn't care. But all i'm saying is to avoid problems that COULD come up and stop using these tools between every flash.
Just my opinion....

Q: What's the deal with AROMA? Do i need CWM Touch for it to work?
A: AROMA is a special type of binary that CWM reads and launches in the zip. I've started using it as a way to keep everyone happy with options. Install the stuff you want, don't install the stuff you don't want. The choice is completely up to you. You don't need CWM Touch for AROMA to work, but it's cherry with it.
Q: Why is the download so big?
A: AROMA is why. All those options have to be somewhere, and they are all packaged in the ROM zip itself. Yes it may take a bit longer to download, but that's because it comes with so many extras and options. Personally, i think it's worth it.
Q: Why does my phone reboot when i try to enable UMS(USB Mass Storage)? I'm using the stock kernel.
A: Because you're using the stock kernel. UMS needs support on both ROM & kernel side to work on ICS. It's been handled on the ROM side, so you gotta flash a custom kernel (like the latest Harsh kernel) to use UMS. Otherwise all you'll get is reboots on stock kernel because it doesn't know what UMS is.
Q: What's the deal with Tablet Mode??
A: Dual Pane works great, big thanks to owain94! To access it, you must set the LCD density to 128 in ROM Control -> GeneralUI -> LCD Density. Follow the instructions there. However, com.android.Phone.apk WILL crash when receiving a phone call while in Table Mode. There is a modified Phone.apk floating around that fixes this issue, however i need find the source of the modification so i can merge it myself. Too many things like ROM Control stuff and Quiet Hours stuff is plugged in Phone.apk, and i'm not sure they would work well with this modded Phone.apk. So use it at your own discretion for now, i'll be searching for a permanent fix, but i may have to kang owain94 again once he posts his source.

You can flash any kernel that's for ICS.
booted running right now, obvious issues are there, I have the data/wifi drop and come back with in 10 seconds but annoying still lol (happens on all ICS I've tried). Wifi calling is still a no go for me as well, rotate in the browser caused the weird exiting of the application. That's about it very nice especially for a first beta, quick and clean definitely. All on stock kernel for now.
Edit: just clicked on:settings>performance, setting has stopped...
I this is a great initial release and I'm positive it will only get better anything mr apocalypse releases is gold can't wait for your next release

Frakkin' awesome dude, I'm playin' around at work and will give this a shot as soon as I backup
This is so cool, where LG and TMO left the G2x for dead, Developers still keep it rolling!
Bug report:
When trying to set a lockscreen wallpaper in ROM Control, it crashes right after you crop the picture. This was a bug in AOKP but was fixed since build 30. I've attached a logcat to see if it helps.

No problem man. ALL ICS ROMs have issues. Still, liking the ROM so far!
EDIT: Long-pressing the Home button doesn't show the Recent Apps menu. Do you need a logcat for that?
