Earlier I had applied the one click lag fix and the phone was running great. After a reboot, none of the apps or widgets will connect to the internet, wifi or 3g. It says I am connected, the little wireless or 3g icons are visible in the notification bar, but nothing works. It worked after the lag fix and i got my inflated quadrant score, but once I rebooted, it didn't work after that. Sometimes it says Mobile Network State Disconnected, sometimes it says Connected. It won't work either way.
What to do? Any help would be appreciated.
edit: i'm a dumbass. that is all. it works now.

Hey!
Just got my Touch Pro! Love it, except on thing.. When im connected to my wifi-network, it seems very unstable... Try to load up a web page in Opera and it takes forever.. suddenly it may work, but shortly after its slow and sometimes it doesnt work at all
Same goes with Youtube, so Its weird.. Anyone got any ideas?
Cheers!
You haven't mentioned what kind of signal strength you're getting. Tap the wireless icon at the top of the screen and it will tell you.
99% of problems with Wi-Fi are purely down to poor signal or interference from other Wi-Fi sources. If your phone can see lots of networks in your area, you might want to change channels on your Wi-Fi router to help avoid interference from the other networks.
I doubt the problem is with your phone.

Wifi works fine for me here... tested with WPA Linksys router at home and WPE Access Point at office... no problems, works as fast as the internet connection does.
Cheers
Anyone else having issues with internet connectivity after the 3.1 update? None of the other devices on my network are having any sort of issues. I've already tried to remove my router and readd it again but no dice. Sometimes I need to refresh webpages 3-4 times before they come up, and simple websites too.....like Google.
edit: I see the icons on the WiFi icon blinking......but webpages aren't loading. Tested the YouTube app and videos take forever to load. Also tested in DolphinHD and Opera and they're having connectivity issues also.
no problem for me. Do a cold reboot

Yeh, I tried that too. I guess I'll see if the problem goes away in the next day or so, otherwise I'll go find some instructions on restoring the machine to default. Good thing i've been too lazy to load all my apps and data on this puppy lol....too lazy and busy just playing with the damn thing lol.
No problem here. I just update about 2 hours ago. WiFi has been online w/o interruptions.
My problem is that it wont see all wifi networks available! ? e.g I know at the office there are 2 wifi routers to connect too, it will see one but not the other and the one it sees it won't connect too?!
Ideas anyone?
Plus there is no option for setting a static ip with 3.1
Just a thought, I am sure I saw that the TF cannot detect WiFi channel 13. Is there a chance that those office routers use channel 13?
I had a problem connecting to my router. I just went into the network settings and "forgot" my network. Waited a minute and the transformer detected it and connected fine.
Same here: after a few hours, the wifi activity icon blinks merrily away, but zero actual connectivity!
I had to switch to airplane mode and back again for it to work.
Sadly, it's already happened twice since this the 3.1 update earlier today!!!
haha so I'm not the only one and I'm not crazy after all!
I'm getting an issue where the wifi indicator turns white but the arrows keep blinking. I have to log off then log back on for the indicator to turn blue and the data to start flowing. Pretty lame. All other phones, comps, and I pods are connecting to the router fine.
Just bought my phone yesterday.
First problem is that I keep getting a notification in the top left saying 'unable to detect your time/date settings'. I have to press it and go to Perth +8.
Why was it never doing that with my previous htc??
Second problem just appeared today, I have connected to my home wifi, it SAYS connected and shows FULL connectivity, BUT on the top it has NO bars highlighted and the wifi doesn't work???
It worked fine during the day today and yesterday but now it's playing up?!?
Please help!
I solved the first problem of the time notification by unchecking ' Automatic Use network provided values'.
Second problem still annoying me though!
Maybe a different channel works for you. Search in the market for Wifi Analyser and check which channel gives the best result.
Thanks for the response,
I have already checked and it is on the best channel. It's not an issue with channels, the router is 5 mtrs from my mobile. Yesterday and this morning it was absolutely fine. And it even shows FULL bars on the wireless setting, but just at the top it shows none and doesn't load anything!
Have you tried turning off and on the wifi? That helped me once. Or rebooting the router?
yes tried both, still no good?!?!
Does the router regonize the phone? Have you tried connecting without security?
I wonder if anyone experienced the same issue.
Yesterday while I was browsing, the O3D restarted itself. Then it loaded normally (launcher, widgets etc) except that the signal & Wifi indicators were white instead of green. A few seconds later it restarted and continued this loop for 3-4 times, until I turned it off. I removed the battery, restarted it and finally everything loaded normally.
The strange thing after all those restarts, is that when I checked the internal storage, I had 610MB free space while before I had around 520MB. When I looked on individual apps, I realized that many apps that their developers only allow to be installed in the internal storage, have been moved automatically to the SD card!
Did anyone else experienced this, or is it another bug of the new stock ROM? Currently I'm using the German 21D (upgraded with the official tools) and the phone is not rooted.
I don't get the reboot or the SD file transfer, but I do get the white data and WiFi bars. Plus when going into the WiFi section it says it is connected to my router and the signal is Excellent (which I believe it is) but there are no hotspots listed under 'WiFi Network' and the signal icon has no bars on it.
If I reconnect they all come back to normal again (for a short while) - I am running a rooted 21D.

Yes, I noticed that too. Even if at home my phone(s)/computer(s) get 10-15 Hotspots, sometimes the O3D with the 21D doesn't show any networks on the WiFi list, even if it is normally connected.
The 21A and the Froyo ROMs didn't have this problem.
I have a stock Skyrocket (4.0.3-IML74K.CLE5) I am using as a media player. I keep it in airplane mode all the time with the Wifi on connected to my router. Yesterday the Play store started telling me there was no connection even though I was connected to my router. I went to the web and found I could connect to pages, but constantly get security warnings. If I click continue I can go on to see the page. Netflix tells me there is a problem connecting to Netflix. Voice search works fine. Google Voice tells me there was a network error. Facebook says it can't find a secure connection. Gmail says no connection. Zedge works fine.
I have tried four different wifi Hotspots both secured and insecure. I have tried telling it to forget the connections and reconnecting. I have restarted many times, removed the battery, and tried all the frequency bands.
The wifi icon in the notification bar shows a strong connection. And the little arrows light up orange and green to show activity.
I am guessing there is something wonky going on with establishing a secure internet connection, bit I have no idea how to fix it. Any advice is appreciated.
Q&A please

How long have you been using the SR? How long have you been having this problem?

Sorry about posting in the wrong spot.
I have been using it like this for three weeks. The problem started two days ago.
Update: it works again. I don't know what I did to fix it, though. I went through every setting, and did turn off screen lock and unknown sources, bit I doubt that did it.
i figured it out, i had the same problem, the date and time were askew. updated them and it worked just fine ^__^
