here's the APK for the stock froyo keyboard which I pulled from CM6. you can turn off autocaps, which makes it better than the sense keyboard for me. =D

It works fine.
not working for me. after clicking on the apk, it says its doing the install but keyboard just looks the same as the normal sense keyboard and not the square buttons like on CM6 Froyo. am I missing something?
EDIT: nevermind I might be confused. The keyboard I have has the rounded buttons but I want the square buttons I had in CM6. any ideas?

The new MT keyboard for Sense 2.2 yes.
The Froyo stock keyboard doesn't appear to be MT.

Yes, I've got it running on the latest Fresh (3.1.0.1).

It's really really smooth and the autocorrect works so much better than the one from the droid multitouch kb.
Wasn't there a droidx multitouch kb already available some months ago?

this isnt the droidx keyboard, this is the keyboard that comes with android 2.3...it was announced today...lol today has been pretty eventful when it comes to android news

Eeep, my bad. When I looked at the date/time for the modifaction of the APK I assumed it was the first version that released where autocorrect wasn't working properly

I flashed it with Amon RA n/p came out perfect its nice by the way make sure you get the one in the second or third post with auto correction fixed.
Flashed via Amon Ra, worked great. I really like the long press on the numbers to bring up fractions. This keyboard is very nice!

Not sure why I'm getting an error..I d/l'ed the file from the first and second links. I boot into Amon Ra Recovery but it fails when I try to flash the file.
I'm on Fresh 3.4.0.1, anyone have any quick ideas?
I flashed it with Amon RA running Myn’s Warm TwoPointTwo - RLS 4 and it worked perfectly. I grabbed the one in the second post with auto correction and vibrate fixed.
This is buy far the best keyboard out there!

I had a weird problem...after flashing it my Mobil data shut down....I unchecked and rechecked it in settings...and it came back on...then it happened again....so I nandroided back...and it was taking a long time to restore...so I pulled the battery and wiped all, then my restore worked...

I allowed myself to change a bit the ROM CM6 becoming almost equal to the Android version Gingerbread. The base of the ROM is the CyanogenMod 6.1.0 RC2.

Unfortunately I could not change the market with the new version (but you can 'flash safely without losing data)

If your running cyanogen just flash straight over the top and you wont loose anything....nice work...looks great...will flash now and post some screenshots

I had to do the rom because 'the keyboard you can not flash normally.

we are not allowed to post .apk or the .lib to do it correctly.
you can either sign up @ http://beta.swype.com and get it directly or search how to pull if from a ROM that currently has it.
Thanks ill have to do it when i get home i cant verify the e-mail from my phone.
Royalginger 1.6 is a CM7 based ROM with swype. Very fast and smooth
You need swype.apk and libswypecore.so from the stock rom
libswypecore.so is located in the system>>lib folder
Copy libswypecore.so back to same folder in CM then install .apk
You will need to reinstall libswypecore.so whenever you flash a rom to prevent swype force closing
just download the swype beta much simpler...

I've been rocking SwiftKey here recently. The new Beta ROCKS MY SOCKS! ! ! this is the first time i've went more that 24hrs w/o using Swype.
Just do a google search for it. Sign up. Download and enjoy. The whole process takes less than 5 minutes. I got it up and running after I flashed CM7.

Hi guys first post so may not quiet know the ropes, I'm currently on Endymion 2.1 and have tried three times now to get the keyboard to install but on reboot the orginal keyboard is still there. The way i'm trying to install is reboot to recovery and install zip from sd card. Is this the correct way if so what can I do to get this keyboard working. Cheers Gordon

After you have flashed open up any app with a text input box, press and hold in the box to bring up the menu and select input method.
You will get a list of installed keyboard you want to select android keyboard.
You can change the keyboard settings in settings>language and keyboards>android keyboard.
