I was using Google Maps in Tenn and if it didn't get a signal it didn't show the map. There should be some way to set it to cache a certain area. Perhaps a 50 mile radius of my location.
Also does anyone know of a maritime app that would have local lakes kept in memory. I tired one on the market that would have cost 10 or so bucks but it did not have Lake Norris on it.
IGO works....

Ive never had a problem out of google nav (live in knoxville)
but i too have been searching for a nav software with lake/river info on it
Easy
Get CoPilot. Has worked pretty well on the EVO. Not sure it's been updated for 2.2, it took a **** on me when I tried to load it up after a Titanium restore from 2.1. *Edit, after updating it works fine with 2.2

Hi
Are there any simple offline GPS softwares? I'm looking for a software which gives me my coordinates, speed and the direction which I'm going, but doesn't need online maps. Smart2go can be used offline if you downloaded some maps, but somehow it doesn't seem that accurate.
I've been only able to find non-free aplications which are a bit outdated.
Thanks.
Can Google Map do that?
Nope. Google Maps complains about not being connected to the internet I open it.
Sorry double reply...
Why not use the TomTom GPS driver from version 3 this will do everything you ask for http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=13

Have a look at this one: http://www.u-blox.de/products/u_center/u_center_mobile_view.html

Hiya: I use Noni GPS Plot; it's still a beta application I think, but it's very useful when I'm walking. It's a bit like an old Garmin I had - you can set a waypoint, wander around (and it draws a track behind you) and set co-ordinates to head back to the car when you're done.
You can input maps but you don't have to.

Try BeeLineGPS
It's easy and powerfull
If you really need something simple but yet power, see this
http://www.visualgps.net/VisualGPSce/
It's by the same developer of BeeLineGPS - best yet, it's free.
Terracrosser
Try Terracrosser.
It is free offline GPS navigation software, works with Google Maps and Yahoo! Maps.

Work perfectly on mine. (re)tested this afternoon. I use the same version of TomTom as you (the one provided by HTC) and the "Western and Central Europe" card at version level 675.1409.
Since now I used a TomTom Go 910. I haven't see any differences in GPS precision between the 910 and the Polaris. The GPS into the Polaris is very fast (signal acquisition and responsiveness). Just be sure to have a power cable into the car to avoid a battery problem (GPS is very battery consuming) !
Had a similar problem with destinator. Showed that I was off the road. Uninstalled and re-installed. seems to be working fine now.
Hi all,
Do you think that is possible to get the local time of the city on the weather screen ?
Cu
good idea... was thinking of that too...
Nobody has any idea?
Why not just add or subtract the hours from your local time on the home screen? Or open google and get the time from that? Or are you one of those people who changes locations to see what the weather is in 50 different places in a weeks time?

Nobody has any idea?

do you think that is possible to run this version on the TP ?
Doubt it, the reason they've got space is the extra 160 vertical pixels...
This would be great
This would be awesome on my Fuze. Any way to tweak and get time on our handset, would only take 1 line. Data's obviously available easily from same download.

Here's a free, really good clock I've used on my phone. I travel globally for sales, and having quick times for the locations I'm going to or calling is key. One of the best apps I've ever found.
Hey ho,
I just wanted to share this information with you:
In fact I can only tell that O2 customers in Germany benefit, but the official Telmap page names a lot of other providers. You may try to connect your provider.
o2 Germany - Telmap Navigation
Official customers overview
This is an off-board navigation, which is reloading the data consistently from the Internet. That this does not result in a money pit or a reduction, data traffic caused by Telmap is free in the O2 network.
The map presented in a simplistic form comes from NavQTech and is kept up to date. Next, the software has a library of attractions, hotels, restaurants and shops which are located in the vicinity of your position. The instructions are not only visually but also read out to mitigate the risk when driving.
The software is available for Android, Blackberry OS, Windows Mobile & Symbain and other phones from Sony Ericsson and LG (the only requirement is a GPS receiver). A WebOS version will appear around the middle of this year as it was not yet fully developed.

After a few days of testing I can say: AWESOME!!!
Works like a charm, with up-to-date traffic information. No crashes, no lagging.
Definitely worth a try.

About 90 views and not a single word. That makes me kind of sad.

Hello,
I've recently got OP8T and I was not planning to use Google account on it as I simply don't need it. But since the start I'm having issues with location GPS, the issue is when I'm inside buildings it's not finding location by network/BT etc. eventhough in settings I switched it on. Only GPS outside of buildings works. Another issue is that I do not see maps in different apps like uber or food delivery apps. So I thought the issue might be because of my lack of Google account login, but when I tried to login I get this error "Couldn't sign it - there was a problem communicating with Google servers".
So I'm a bit stuck with lack of network localization, lack of maps in apps, and can't login to Google.
Any idea how to fix any of those issues? Photos of those issues here: IMG
Thanks a lot.

from the screen shots you provided you do not have cell service.
is the radio broken or are you running without a sim?
I tried both, with sim and without. The solution was hard reset and now it works. Thanks for help anyway.
