[THEME (updated 4/19/2010)- CelticMetal

Hey guys, I've finally got around to updating this. Enjoy!
This was made on damagecontrol2.0v7, but should work on any of the new time with the 2,1 framework.
I have included the wallpaper in the zip, it is on the sdcard in a folder called wallpaper. it will show up in the wallpaper selection screen if you press:
menu-wallpaper-photos-wallpaper
I also included the standard font (in a folder called font on the sdcard) should you decide you don't like the one I included. (there is a whole thread on how to do this, so use the search function and we'll all be happier )
I don't intend on modding this for individuals, but if enough people want something changed, I can probably be influenced.
This should not interfere with LWP if you use them.
As always, flash at your own risk. ALWAYS NANDROID!!! I take no responsibility for bricked phones or any questionable children your wife may have conceived while you were away on business.

That was the easy part. Animations are in framework-res.apk. Just make sure you know what you are overwriting.

Oscar, frankly I'm insulted. I spent a long time building this and your allegations do nothing but cheapen it and drag me through the mud. I'll have you know I beam NOTHING but the finest lab-grade superoctoheroin to your system.

The screen shots don't really do it justice people. It looks really good on my phone.
I never checked out the Darkstar theme, what animations are from there? BTW, full page weather animations are working fine with this too.
EDIT: A matching dialer would be kick-ass!

Nah, I've got thick skin when it comes to what others think of my work. I just love a good joke.I really do appreciate all the feedback, too. I was trying to step outside of the box a little and go a different direction than what I'd seen previously. I also wanted to really make the launcher my own. I think the way it turned out may be what I'm most proud of. I actually started from a clean, transparent for it, and every pixel is mine. I do happen to agree with Mike, in that the screen shots really don't show it off properly. I actually LIKE the lockbar on this one.

I know that story only too well.
Looking forward to phase 2 but enjoying the heck out of phase 1.

Probably a stupid question (please don't flame me if it is) but do you think this would work on RegawMODv1.3.1? His is based on Damageless Rom.

No flames here. But I really don't know. It SHOULD work on any of the DC2.0r2 mods, as long as they kept all the same framework. But I don't know for sure. Only one way to find out, eh? ;p

Hey, my phone was awake 100% of the time with your rom, I put the full version on. Anything I could try to not have it at 100% awake time? Was draining the battery like nothing, so I had to go to a backup because I was at work with no charger.
HOWEVER, I did get my phone setup how I liked it with your rom, and just waiting for some advice on the awake time to revert back to it! Thanks in advance.

As far as having info on the battery situation, honestly, no. I did not change any of the functionality of Damageless' Rom, no memkiller settings.....nothing. I was working directly in the download from the main thread. The only operational difference between this and dc2.0r2 are the animations (which must be turned on manually, BTW). Check the main thread, cause I think I remember others talking about the same thing. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten more than 8 hours out of a battery w/o charging on any Rom since February, so I'm not the best judge. (i'm also online on my phone roughly 6 solid hours a day, so there ya go, mystery solved). I'm not trying to be flippant or blow you off or anything like that, I just don't know. But I also can't think of anything I did that should effect the battery life.
*just checked my battery, I'm at 9.5 hours up, 4:15 awake, which is probably accurate, since I was on the net for over 2 straight hours this afternoon.

that was my message earlier but now its sorted ( post 3) thanks to Inando84 (huge thanks man, your a star). "conan" was waiting in the shadows (top man). the original images are from "wildcatcmc" who i have tried to contact but got no reply, but "respect", (hope your cool). i know there were a few guys who, like me, were after this little mod ages ago, so here it is. i'll post this link in another thread and hopefully they will pick it up. anyway, thats enough gassin from me, thanks an take it easy...

well, you're just a little bit of everywhere aren't you? If you have some spare time I would love a ferret lock slider made from any of the pngs that were used to make any of MWC cursors. Come to think of it, how would I need to rename the pngs to have them work for a lock screen slider?

LOL yup u caught me! Well its just that I like switching it up every once in a while and work on different projects, hence all the dialers, clocks, waitcursors, etc, etc..
This way I keep coming up with newer and better ideas without getting bored working on the same thing for too long a period of time. I'm also getting better and better with everything which is a huge plus.
Ok back to the ferret lockscreen slider.. I went ahead and made a set using the image you attached for me a while back when making your dialer. The images associated with the sliders that you'd edit or rename them to are: "htc_LS_LockSlider", "htc_LS_LockSlider_Dwn", "htc_LS_LockSliderLong", and last but not least "htc_LS_LockSliderLong_Dwn". Let me know what you think of this set. Enjoy..

What does everyone feel about this?

I was playing around online last nite and wanted to see what would come up if I searched my username in google's search engine. Well I came across this russian site that is literally taking all of our hard work and reposting it as their own. Most of it comes from their memeber "nafuk", who also has an account here since may 09 and has yet to leave a post or comment. I didn't like seeing all of my skins there but what rubbed me the wrong way was when I seen JML's MenuSense new version 1.65 posted. JML has clearly asked/posted to not create any mirrors in his app thread, yet this guy totally dismisses it. He could at the very least post links to where he took all the stuff from no? Am I the only one that see's this as wrong? Here's the link, go thru a few of the pages to see the magnitude of whats going on..

I would contact their forum admins and ask them why they are allowing this to happen, they at least need to abide by no-mirror wishes and credit the rest.

This guy is posting the stuff we are posting here one day after beeing posted. On some entries he tells the name of the author but thats it and he only does that sometimes. He is just taking the images we post and all the cabs. I was able to find nearly all my contributions there. Most of them just saying :CHT Theme Banality and then the CAB.

Clearly a case of....
..... "I don't give a rats ass about the enormous job some of the people in XDA -developers are doing!"
How about asking the moderators to ban mr nafuk for ****ing life from XDA-Developers!?!?
I would like to see swift judgment against this thief!
Keep up the great work even though some people doesn't seem to care that you are doing this for the community, and not for someone posing as the inventor of the stuff on another site.

Yea it's complete BS!! I couldn't believe my eyes when I seen all of our most recent stuff on there. I joined the site and left a comment @ the end of the thread. He pm'd me asking not to report it then responded and said he removed my cabs.

would you plz report it nando? it cant be that he only removes the cabs when someone is complaining. I dont see, why we all first need to make a account there and then complain. plz tell the admins over there

But hes is not the only one! At last BHC Interceptor tells me that he found a guy that use exactly all my grafiks! He is telling that these grafiks are made by himself! I have registered me there and i send him a private message! But there comes no answer! But the hardest thing is that he is ADMIN in this forum and i was thinking he knows what is right and what not.
I have googled my name too and i found Russian, chinese, greek and much more Forums that use all the stuff form XDA. But i think we have to live with or do you have a copyright on your stuff?. I´m not!
But it would be nice when that guys leave here with a thank you or they should say thanks to the original author on his forum. But i think that will not be.

Well I PMed lnando84 the profile of the admin. We all share our work with the whole of you and I think we deserve a little credit. I found some of my stuff posted by other peoples in different forums but they always had the honesty to write who created this and post a link to the original thread. But this one just rips us of.
If they were asking I wouldnt mind that much

Request: Team Acid Logo (Done)

Who wants to make us a Team Acid logo? Now that we're using the Aroma installer on more ROMs I figured we should have a logo or splash screen. Not being too picky here, just something of moderately high resolution so we can scale it down to fit our needs.
Seeing that I'm not too artistically inclined and since Raver's been working on other projects (he actually knows how to use Photoshop/Gimp) I'm asking for people to submit their artwork here! It'd be greatly appreciated.
Try to stick with the theme "Acid" (get it? Theme Acid? No? Haha? Okay, I give up).

After much thought, the other members of Team Acid and I have decided that we're going with theexel's green themed splash screen.
It's clean, simple and will go well on our the ROMs and installers.

Make this 2 requests. Any way you can make several versions of this to animate, maybe make some of the text or the biohazard triangle radiate a glow? We can have an animated boot splash and bootanimation for ROMs that way. Thanks again! (Keep them in PNG format)

competition seems like a great idea. Letting the community vote on THEIR logo not so much. If I had any artistic talent at all I'd help. Do have an idea that I'm sure others have as well. Team ACID needs a really psycodelic theme. Thanks guys and best of luck getting that theme perfect for you

A competition and voting isnt all bad.
People could help narrow it down. Ultimately the team has final say.

thanks for pointing out the mistake. showed up fine on the xda app though so didn't think anything of it. now on the being used by many others, i don't see how. the biohazard symbol maybe, but not the image as a whole. my submission was totally unique where i actually used layering and transparencies with the android logo and biohazard symbol and then used my own glowing effect settings through layering properties to get the desired effect. i could go into details on the actual settings, but don't want to ruin this thread. i am glad you do like this. actually made a series of these to try and make a bootanimation, but for some reason it don't work. maybe someone could help me out with it and see why it won't work. anyway, glad you guys like.

VictoryROM + LithiumROM + * = My theme

Like the majority of us here, I love modding my phone to fit my personal taste/preference at any given time. Ever since I flashed VictoryROM I have been in love with most of it, felt it just needed a few more visual tweaks. With help from XDA member Deliberate I was able to get said tweaks done, and was pleasantly surprised to get a few other I didn't ask for but wanted. Let me know what you think.

Running GoLauncher w/custom icons, custom signal bars from Alteredlikeness, custom battery and status bar clock from Deliberate, DIGI Clock widget
Deliberate's battery mod also changed the settings menu slightly...the check marks and check boxes are a little larger. Running the inverted settings.apk theme courtesty of JRW 28 for his LithiumROM...works like a charm on VictoryROM
Alteredlikeness' status bar mod also came with the custom drop down toggles seen here. Deliberate's battery mod, originally for LithiumROM, also changed the color of the text in the notification bar to blue. I like it!
Another side effect of Deliberate's mod is the lockscreen, pretty much the same as the one in VictoryROM except for the ICS blue glow around the unlock and sound circles. Wasn't expecting this but like it alot.
I wish you could have seen me when I noticed this, the skinny ICS themed volume sliders and the ICS blue glow around the pop up box as in LithiumROM, my reaction would have you thinking I just won the lottery or something, LoL.
I've had this transparent blue XDA app for a long time now, since I had my SE X10i, fits perfectly with my theme! But noticed another pleasant surprise due to flashing the mod from Deliberate....the page loading animation. It used to look like an overgrown circular saw blade, looks much better now!

I appreciate the work of the guys listed above and am loving my current setup thanks to you. It's nice to be able to run the ROM I prefer, yet still have some theme work and mods from other ROMs that I like as well. Can't thank you guys enough.
The last thing I need to make my setup perfect is to get the reboot option in the extended power menu.

Looks good, the inverted setting wasnt the only thing borrowed. Thats my framework-res as well. That's where your spinner, colored clock,lockscreen, and ICS style sliders come from.
It would be nice to have been at least asked to have been used. It took a lot of time for me to get this the way it is and not on any other Roms on the A2........

Here we go again
You seem to be of the impression that I pilfered your ROM and salvaged what I wanted. When the reality of what happened was someone posted a battery mod for your ROM and I simply flashed it on my phone. I was unaware the other mods this consisted of until I flashed it. So rest assured I am not trying to claim your work as mine or trying to pick your ROM apart for the features I want on the one I run, I took a chance at flashing a mod for your ROM that just so happened to work on mine. It's not like I'm a dev and cooking my own ROM and comprising it of your work without your permission, i'm just a member who likes trying different things and willing to chance it by flashing things intended for other ROMs to my phone with the hopes it works....sometimes it does, other times not so much. Since when do we as members need to ask permission to flash publicly posted mods to our devices? Where they do that at?

You know I never pointed a finger at you, but it took a lot of work to get what I did on my Rom and to see people using it without asking does get under my skin a little. So if this is gonna be how it is then I will just keep my work to myself........

And is it possible to put locks or passwords on your zip files if you don't want them picked apart - but still be flashable?
I don't think I've taken any of your theme mods JRW, just the 1% batteries for Victory at one time, and properly credited (though I've seen them in a thousand other ROMs, so I'm sure they are not "yours" yours)... If I really have to point put everything that was taken from Lithium I will. My point was it took a lot of my time to get the mods I did on my rom and for you to take them and distribute them as your own without even a thanks or asking is why we are here. This is open source, but credit os always given where it is due .....but you know what, you do what you think is right.....funny when you post something you ask for credit where its deserved but I guess when its not yours its OK to do as you wish ........I'm done........

I did not take one thing from Lithium... You're barking up the wrong tree. I haven't even downloaded it yet..
EDIT: And if you're referring to the rotating homescreen credit, I was just pretty excited that I figured it out for our model, and if you notice I said to credit me unless you figure it out for yourself.. And I figured I had to put that there with they way some of you devs/modders act...

You can do as you wish, and I understand your concern here but it seems to me you're overreacting a bit. Somebody running your ROM posted battery mods for your ROM, I seen them, liked how they looked and figured I'd flash it and hope for the best. Nobody stole your work, nobody did anything which would require your permission. I have the utmost respect for you, I really do, but unless you got permission from Motorola to modify their ROM to your liking then it seems quite hypocritical of you to expect us to ask for yours to do the same when in reality "your" ROM is little more than a modded version of theirs. Nobody was trying to be sneaky here brother, we all appreciate your contributions here and hope you can look back at this later and realize that.

Well whoever mixed the 2 together need to get with me and tell me exactly how they got the images they got. Because I can tell you exactly what I did and how I got them.........All I 'm saying is give credit due where it deserves. I put a LOT of time and effort into my Rom and to see people ripping it off is BS since I'm not getting any credit

It's all been spelled out clearly in the OP. If anybody is guilty of ripping you off it's me since i'm the one who flashed mods for your rom to my phone (running a different rom). But since i'm not a dev, not claiming your work as my own, why do I need to get your permission? That's the part i'm not understanding. How can you not be getting credit when "your ROM" is listed in the title of this thread and has been since the instance it was posted?

Omg guys im sorry. It was me. I used parts from lithium on ATRIX blaze v3. Cause I did like blazes lockscreen. I did port over the battery mod. But I can't remember where from. I apologize for not asking permission before doing this. At the time I didn't see any harm. Everything in my mod is JRW 28 except the battery mod. Me and. 916x10 just traded files and that's what he came up with. He didnt mean to not give proper credit because he probably didn't know it was jrw 28s mods. I never told him because idk, guess i just didnt yhink about it. He just wanted to share it probably because he thought others would enjoy it. So sorry I didn't mean to not give credit where it was due! So so so sorry!!!!

I didn't think anything of it to be honest, was just letting others know the outcome of running mods not specifically for the one I'm running. Never imagined I'd need to get anyone's permission to do so. It was not my intention to step on any toes or throw anyone under the bus, I apologize to any and all who felt I did either to them.

Yep, from now on i'm going to ask permission before I download anything posted for public consumption on a public forum I could understand if I didn't list his ROM, his name, at all in my OP, or if I cooked up a rom of my own and used his work without giving him credit, but none of that happened so his overreaction is unexplainable. Gotta be more to it but i'm done giving this any energy. Thanks for the mods JRW 28!

I think the point here is, is that we need to post the creator of the mod for every mod we use of were going to post screen shots and in some cases we should ask if we can use it. I see his point and it can look like your taking credit for it. I dont think that was your intention but its better to be safe than sorry. Were a community of devs, users and people that just want a freakin awesome phone. Lets be as respectful as possible. In the end, ITS ONLY A PHONE!.

To some people this is a huge deal (modding phones) and it is probably a respect situation. Either way, its done now. We shall move on.

Just wonder - can you share this great battery mod? At least just image files for all the hexagons with numbers? It's really great and I would like to add them to my setup.
