Is the build posted anywhere, or is this more of a closed open-source project? lol
WOOT! Please finish this for the world. I really like the Sense UI and would definitely like to have this.

Awesome! I'd love to test if you ever need a tester in the future but for now ill just subscribe and hope for the best
I'd also like to help but no computer, if there's anything I can do like test, let me know. I'd like to see sense on Droid. Even better when its done it gets themed. The mytouch 3g had ported over to my Eris when I had it had nice themeing.

finals are over on friday but i will be checking daily
we'll be glad to test
I really want to see this go somewhere. Do you have anyone else on the developement end to help you? Im sure ton of people wll test, but developers will be important unless you are really good. Are you making progress, or are you going to ask other devs for help. I can contacts some if it will help.

Awesome! I was bummed that they cancelled the Zeusdroid project, especially all of the support and donations that poured in. I just wish they would release their work to benefit everyone else.
i hate that as well
hopefully this project will not be cancelled
The project won't be canceled. Development might not move at the speed of light but it is moving along.

Was taking a look into ZeusDroid, which did work (except for the whole phone issue) and some of the running Milestone versions of sense and seeing about a FrankenDroid.

here is a post Cyanogen did back in June 30th of 2010
It’s been just under a week since Google released Froyo (Android 2.2) into the open-source world and we’ve made great progress on CyanogenMod-6 already. Approximately 20 of us on the CM team are working hard on merging all of the community-developed extras in, as well as porting to new devices. Google did a great job and really gave us the best foundation to start from this time around.
Here’s where we stand so far.. Most of the CyanogenMod extras have been merged. Some features are being reworked (like trackball settings), new device ports are well underway. The first devices to see CM6 experimental releases will most likely be the Nexus One and Droid simply because those are the devices that “just work”. The Dream/Sapphire port has everything working but one small issue remains. Wes Garner has the Slide port well underway. I don’t have a status report of the Desire, Incredible, and Evo versions at this time.
I’m expecting that we should have some experimental releases by the weekend, but please don’t spam us asking for ETAs.. We are just as excited to get this out as you are

Regarding updates to CM5.. A small update will be coming this weekend to fix a few bugs but the focus will remain on CM6!
Thanks to everyone who has been supporting us with testing, bugfixing, code, new features, and of course donations. CM is what it is because of the community. Thank you!
just curious for us not using froyo will there be an update to CM5??..

Bamp?
10char? anybody what to discuss the promise he made??
This is really not good that he promised something and then didn't fullfil this promise, but honestly... CM6 is so much better than CM5.08, personally I am not even thinking on trying 2.1 ROMs, I really don't understand why to bother with older software if newer gives you not only new features and same if not better speed and stability.
There is no point. Same reason why we don't see any progress on donut roms. They're old. 2.2 runs one hell of a lot better than any 2.1 roms did. Give up on CM 5 and come to the now.
I regret moving away from Donut (CM4.x). For me CM6 works worse than CM5 and CM 5 works worse than CM4. The only reason I am staying with CM6 is the hope that 6.1 will improve the situation. The main issue is the lack of memory and what follows as consequence (can't view big websites, can't take photos, apps close themselves due to lack of RAM, push mail does not work, etc.)
These problems are not always occuring, but they occur most of the time, especially if the last reboot is more than 2 or 3 hours in the past. I recommend waiting for CM6.1 and then reassess whether it is viable to switch.

This is a punishment for lack of exploring. I've been using 2.2 ROMs now for a while and aren't having any of the issues you're having. Did you mess with any of the cm settings? What about the adw launcher settings? All of these play a part in the functionality of the ROM. Some advice:
Under CM Settings > Performance Settings:
Code:
Use Compcache @ 25%
Disable JIT
Disable Surface dithering
Make sure Lock Home in Memory is checked
VM Heap Size 32m
For ADW Launcher:
Screen Preferences:
Code:
Make sure you are only using 3. This helps with the slowness
System Preferences:
Code:
Disable Scrollable Widget Support
Check System Persist
UI Settings:
Code:
Uncheck Desktop Dots
Uncheck Secondary ActionButtons
Uncheck desktop Indicator
With these settings, I have no problems running any 2.2 rom on my G1. Also, I have widgets on each of my screens.
when you press anything in setting or any app.. does it load instantly?
or is there a second or 2 lag? i strip my donut roms completly remove everything google including market, and i have 35.43 mb free on my data partition. its stupidfast. but csdi is the fastest @ that setting.
most of the time when i end apps with task killer i have 55 mb free.
so i can load it up with widgets if needed.
what im trying to say i have achieved that speed with froyo but only if my cpu is clocked @ 650+ all the time and super stripped. gah i rambled.. i hope you understand what im tying 2 say.
Kernel Manager released! Lite (free): http://tinyw.in/0i8, Pro (cost): Available in the Market...ENJOY!
Hey everyone! I wanted to introduce a new app with a very simple but ambitious goal: create a place where all kernel developers can submit kernels easily and reach a much wider audience with ease.
The app currently does this:
1) Downloads a kernel from our fast and stable teamwin server
2) Unzips the relevant files (modules included)
3) Flashes the kernel
4) Installs the kernel modules
5) Clears cache/dalvik-cache
6) Reboots to apply the changes.
This entire process takes less than a minute, generally, (depending on download speeds of course ), and it is extremely simple for end-users to find a kernel, filter by kernel features (BFS, CFS, HAVS, SBC, etc) download/install kernels, and submit ratings for their favorite kernels.
If you use IRC, join us in freenode in #kernel-manager!
In order for this to be a success, we need support from kernel developers like YOU! Submitting a kernel to Kernel Manager is totally free and we even provide hosting for you! Right now I'm looking for kernel developers to submit kernels to start populating the app. Submitting kernels is easy!
THE LINK IS FOR KERNEL DEVELOPERS SPECIFICALLY! Go to http://kernels.teamw.in and register for an account! Once it's approved, you can easily enter new kernels, which immediately show up in the app. The app will be released in the market, and there will be a free+ad supported version, and a for-cost version that removes the ads.
Right now, we have a specific list of supported phones, but plan to add every nand-unlocked phone as soon as possible. (There are a lot of variables to account for on multiple devices to make sure the process works )
Please feel free to provide me with any feedback you have, or feature requests in order to make this a great tool for all of android to utilize!

You guys are awesome on xda. App works perfectly.
Started a kernel flash - during the download, I switched from 3G to WiFi. It didn't like that! Download froze. Phone locked. Just had to push power button until screen off, then power button on to get phone back. From Manage Applications, did a a clear data, clear cache, force close. Tried to run it again (saw that download count was up by one) and it immediately went into unzip. That ran a bit with nothing happening, so I killed it again. Looked on my sd card and found the kernel zip; it was only a couple of hundred kb. in size. Deleted it, ran it again; everything ran smooth (and download count went up by another one.)

Yeah sorry about that - I am going to fix the downloader so it doesn't flip out and break if/when you lose your data connection.

Minor issue: KM Lite won't register my vote. I'm trying to rate x99's AOSP kernel a 5 but it takes the vote but the counter won't go up. Still shows only one person has voted.

It actually does - if you exit the app and re-start it, it will have the correct info (including your vote).
I will fix this in the next release, but it was a minor display bug.

FYI: It's still showing just 1 vote for x99's CM7 kernel. I've exited the app plenty of times, rebooted, etc. I've even bought the Pro KM and it still just shows the 1 vote.

*** To fix the camera I installed "GizmoDroid's Modded Camera" using SGSTools***
Battery Life: 99% after 4 hours in standby
I would love help fixing the camera and turning this into a flashable ROM. Additonally, there may be more APKs that can be deleted but it works like this so I don't want to mess with it.
Additionally, if anyone has any of the Galaxy S 4 and 5 specific apps, I would love to see if we could integrate them into this.

The goal was to remove all cellular features including emergency calls so that it would operate purely as a media device. This way I could give it to a child to use as a media player without having to worry about them figuring out how to turn the call features on etc.

Ah, I didn't catch that part. Sounds like a worthwhile endeavor then.
great job and great idea. I'll be watching this thread closely. if it becomes a flashable zip, I can totally see this getting popular as people start upgrading their devices.
Great idea. I wouldn't use it, at least until I get a newer phone, but a great idea.
Or maybe just remove the sim card?
I saw this being discussed in an earlier thread, the problem with taking the sim out is it still allows for 911 calls to be made and with a child having it anything could happen.

I really like this idea and will likely do this someday.
I wonder if you could just freeze those apps with TiBu... seems like it would work too. That way it is quickly undoable. (is that a real word?) LOL
GPS not working...
Long story short....I now have a work phone and ported my personal cell to Google Voice. I now have a Captivate that I don't have service for. I would love to use it for a PMP and my golf GPS (Using GolfShot). I installed Captivate Touch, Cognition Edition v2.0 - KB1 2.2 by DesignGears from your thread in the development section. I was unable to get GPS to work. So I decided to install Serendipity 6.4 and remove the APK's myself. Still no GPS. Anyone have any thoughts on how to get GPS to work again?

thanks for posting my rom in xda guys keep up n we will fix bugs soon
help me to fix bluetooth now
Long Reply. Read at your own expense.
So this is what I got after playing with the rom for sometime. Superuser works perfectly for me.I used numerous root apps(link2sd, adfree, titanium backup). It worked perfectly every time. Music does not work even when headphones are attached. I even tried using another app - Musicmatch to play music. I tried installing play store from this thread. It always force closes. The image gallery is really really slow in loading images. So I tried using quickpic. It runs perfectly.Couldn't check much of the browser due to ****ty EDGE but google.com loaded well. Temple Run kept force closing. Maybe I was overreaching on that one. Most of the apps I normally used work: friendcaster, tapatalk, pocket, airdroid all work. Scrolling does not lag at all. Sd-ext does not work. I have a 1 GB ext4 partition which it does not recognize.
TL;DR
If wifi could be fixed, this would be a pretty usable rom.
Okay. I just found out that accelerometer also does not work.
Just one more thing. In calls incoming sound is good. But outgoing sound is bad.

Yes I agree, wifi is the most important thing that needs to be fixed. Also if you want to post some screenshots you can.

Here are some screenshots I took:
Is this an aosp kernel?
Your Links aren't showing up correctly; you should do something like this:
Sorry. I corrected it. And no I do not think this is an AOSP kernel but then again, I don't know much. You should ask sakindia123. He'll know.

I tried quadrant. It kept Force Closing. Gonna try antutu now.

So here is the antutu score. Really slow 3D. Gave only about 3-4 fps.
And in other news, quadrant's still force closing.
is true. the 3d is bad. so what are the plans for now?
Well, I don't know. I was just testing for the fun of it. Do you have any ideas how to fix the bugs?
no no. i am only here to try it and test.
Looks interesting. (Posting so I can find the thread easier in future)
Hardware acceleration ain't working, and this is running on a stock htc kernel
Btw,check lib/egl,in the rom, desire's egl libraries are being used instead of pico's.
Check lib/hw also,u will find a lot of faults with the port(to fix wifi,i m sure u know what to do)

Liquid's computer took a dive, but as you can see he finally got back up and running and has been working hard on the D2 for the last week. This build is SOLID - he's worked extremely hard and the RIL issues are a thing of the past, hardware all works - including camera and BT - and it's smooth as silk.
So have at it! It's a beta, so there are still some features that are missing/may change, and there could be a few bugs that we would love to hear about, but we're very proud of this build. If you can, please donate to show Liquid your support. He spends just about all of his time on this!
Looks awesome! Gonna try it out later
So I take it this wasn't part of the site that got infected?

What recovery do you recommend to use? I was using cm10.1 and it was creating a ton of folders and sub folders on the sd when flashing.

I would like to try Liquid Smooth again, but I have to know, has the problem with the battery charging light and overall notification light not working been fixed?
anyone try justin860's inverted 4.2 apps with this yet?
Is there a specific Radio we should be using for this?
I have always known radios being separate from the rom.

True but some modem/radios seem work better on some roms..Just a question..
Bleeds
okay so i previously flashed the unofficial cm 10.1 and want to delete the 0 folder but its saying its write protected... how do i remove this folder? it has literally nothing in it but other empty folders
Use something like root explorer and put it in R/W mode. That should get rid of it
Sent from one of the many Anthropomorphic Personalities on the Disc
Charging and notification lights are functional.
What are you using to delete the "0" folder? Root explorer or ES with root permissions (configured in settings) should do the trick.
Flashing from 4.1.2 to 4.2 should not result in the 0 folder being created anymore. At least not on mine. Didn't need to move or delete anything.
If for some reason you lose mobile data, just turn mobile data of and on from the settings menu and it should come back. It's only happened to me once, though. The 4.2 RIL will mature over time, and it's a hell of a lot better than it was already.
Just went through the bugs report page and didn't see anything specific to the d2vzw, what are the current bugs as small as they may be? I still love liquid smooth ROMs and plan on flashing. Thanks for the responses ahead of time.
When i have my phone connected to my PC with USB cable i can get to internal memory but no folders are shown. 0 items. if i use root explorer everything is listed under the root of the but in CWM it is all under the 0 folder??? Change it from MTP or PTP and back has no effect. i have it on MTP
GPS seems good. Low volume recording still present.
Anyone know how to get on screen keys? I tried setting dpi to 213 and 160 but they did not give me on screen keys....Maybe need to add a line in build prop?

flash and you tell us. this is brand new and so is the device tree, so the bugs will be different from 4.1.2.

We haven't built it into the rom yet, though I imagine that setting will work its way back in. There's probably a way to activate them manually I'm not aware of.
