I can also confirm this works on my aria running a011. Best linpack so far is 9.7 with quadrant of 1060
Edit: just hit 1103 quadrant
I have not run into any issues. On setcpu my min is set to 224 with my max being 768
Sent from my cm6 Liberty.
Which version did you guys install via recovery?
Aside from Linpack numbers showing a performance increase, are there any noticeable differences with day to day usage? 600 to 768 doesn't seem like a substantial jump...

Did not wipe, did a nadroid and flashed Kernel V1 through clockwork recovery. Used setcpu to 768/245 on demand.
Quadrant high 1071. Seems a little bit snapper
Ok thanks

Seems a bit faster loading apps and stuff. Its solved my lockup issue too.. Could be coincidence but I haven't had one since flashing this kernal.
I did a nandroid backup then wiped caches only. Flashed version in first post in the link.

I also have not had any lockup issues. I tested this last night. I had wifi on before flashing this kernel and had 3 "lockup/freezes" within 2 hours. After flashing I have had none. Even when i set the max to only 600, I still have had 0 lockups.

thanks
I think this is for froyo only. I could be wrong though

as some of u know, the new GOT openrecovery lets u enable the JIT compiler
the JIT compiler comes from the froyo update and gives u performance boost, altough no near as good as the froyo itself
my question is, is there any1 that tried it? is it very stable?
i dont like to get hardware problems because of the JIT
Just try it.
JIT is stable, i'm using it with 2.38 by HTCDevil...
Sent from my Milestone using Tapatalk
I've tried it as well but on 3.11 (TELUS) and it works splendidly. Also definite improvement. Just make sure that you do a nandroid backup first before installing the JIT.compiler.
Sent from my Milestone using XDA App
is the performance boost very noticeble?
yes. On stock 2.36, @550 MHz you may achieve almost 9,5 MFLOPS (instead only ~5)
Max tweaked roms @1200 MHz may reach above 15 MFLOPS.
what benchmark or any other app did u use for that? and how do i uninstall the JIT compiler again?
We used LinPack for Android for benchmarking and G.O.T. OpenRecovery to install and remove JIT.
i just installed it but i never get near +9 mflops
my highest is only 6,9? i use stock 2.1 with SHOLS 2.36
and i used quadrant standard and my fps did not change at all from b4
PS : i dont see any option to uninstall it in the GOT openrecovery, i only see the option to install it

Well, on my Inspire I have flashed a custom rom that gives me up to a 1400 score on my Quadcore tests, yet I see other people hitting 2000-2500, what am I doing wrong? I'm using Core Droid v5.0 with a flashed radio that speeds up my download and upload speeds. Do you guys have any advice on how to speed up my Android?
And by the way, yes I do have set CPU and I have the settings on Max (1024000) and on Minimum (245761) I also have set on boot ticked along with profiles to save battery life. Any help is appreciated.
Sincerely,

Are you running a kernael that can be overclocked?
How can I tell of it can be overlooked, and I'm pretty sure I am its the default core Droid Rom, or do I have to install the kernel separately as well?
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
The default CoreDroid kernel isn't overclocked. Also if you have an overlooked kernel, setcpu would let you push past 1ghz.
Sent from my Inspire 4G using XDA App
I think you can use the leedroid kernel with coredroid can't you? If so, I'm using that one. It will overclock to 1.8. I only run at 1.2 though.
see post 957:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=12123867&highlight=leedroid#post12123867
So what do I set it to to overclock it?
First you have to floash the kernel. The you use the slider in set cpu to overclock.
How do I flash it?
Sounds like you have some reading to do. Download the kernel to the root of your SD card. Then from ROM manager use CWM to flash rom from SD Card. DO A BACK UP FIRST THOUGH. Read the first few leedroid posts and that will help
No, I know how to flash things but what kernel do I use?
What kernel do I use with Core Droid?
http://leedroid.ftp.rshost.eu/DHD-Kernels/
it is the 2.2.9. Check his post here and it will tell you what you are getting
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991848
Try the Inversely ROM...sure its stock based but the kernel can be oc'd to 1.8.... at 1.5 I got over 2600 and at 1.8 I got a 3309 and could do better sub some tweaking...right now though kernel is not a separate flash package.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
Um..should be Ingersoll ROM.
Autocorrect fail....
What also helps is be fully charged...do your quad right after fresh boot and stop/shutdown all background processes you can..that's when you get best score.
Sent from my Inspire 4G using XDA App
Edit: hey he just posted his kernel ad a separate package...will make things interesting.
Guys, none of those kernels worked , I had to restore my Android to a previous backup.
Anything I can do?
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
Coredroid 5 is based off the the leaked GB rom no custom OC kernels are available. 1500 is about what I get with that rom also. If you want higher quadrant scores you need a froyo 2.2 based rom and kernel.

You'll prolly have to download a Rom with an oc kernel and wipe everything before you install it.
May not be what you want to do...but might be the only way to get what speeds you're wanting.
Otherwise...you'll have to wait till there's an oc kernel for the Rom your using.
yelp there isnt Oc of the core with gingerbread.. they do a 2.2 with oc. i havent done those yet cause i do like this gingerbread.. Im just going to keep with this V5.0 MIUI guys have the OC kernal for their gingerbread but they have more steps than i wanna deal with.

I'm going to assume right off the bat you're on an EE4 froyo rom? the safest is 1.4ghz however not many peoples phones (myself included when I was on froyo) will be stable, there were random reboots and lockups galore... I was stable at 1.2ghz but as I said everyone's phones are different, but to answer your question yes you can go up to 1.4

You can overclock with that, but personally, why would you use an app to load a module to overclock? You're forcing the system to do something it doesn't want to, which could easily lead to problems.

I'm really hoping we see some T-Mo USA compatible kernels coming soon. All previous one's I've tried did not work, and usually broke Wifi, or never would even boot.
Also hoping that we see CM9/AOKP compatible versions as well.
Make a nandroid and flash the boot.img through fastboot, whats the worst that could happen?
Nice, GPU overclock. Guys, I'm going to try this on my TMOBUS device and report back whether it works.
This is looking good! Can't wait to hear whether or not it works on 1.84 TMO-US base. I can't use fastboot from my work computer or I'd test it myself.

Heres a first time quadrant test running at 1.7GHz (can clock to 2GHz!) in spite of the S3 One S owners
I have one question: There was this IMPORTANT note where it said I had to flash a zip, but which should I flash if I'm on V5?
I suppose this will only work on Sense ROMS?
Link ://d-h.st/foy v1-v4 its said but I installed the zip with v5 kernel runs great!
Flash (CWM/TWRP) compatible with this kernel postboot script and thermald.conf for better preformance and battery safe.
Flashed this over 1.84 with success. Quadrant is a couple hundred points higher without over clocking.

I have synergy 1.3 right now on my phone. Have rooted and flashed this rom with no problems so far by following what I have read on this wonderful site. I would like to try and flash Imoseyon's leankernal. I have read that this works extremely well with synergy's 1.3. I have been following the steps from this guide > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1762709 and I have installed ez recovery. So couple questions.
1. I change the recovery to CWM 6.0.1, then hit the flash button and then the reboot recovery button?
2. will flashing a kernel change any settings on my phone for instance I am running apex launcher pro have everything set up the way I like it will all be the same after reboot?
3. is wiping cache/dalvik necessary? I have read elsewhere that when flashing kernels it is not necessary at all?
thanks!
1. Yes. I selected the 6.0.1 from the dropdown and then flashed it. I then made a nandroid and tested restore. I came from twrp 2.2 and wanted to make sure it restored fine.
2. Flashing the kernel will not effect your apps.
3. I didn't but it won't hurt clearing caches.

Oops. Should have mentioned that. I found out that if you get the kernel from his "latest" link it is the 12 version and not 12-2. I posted in the rootz thread about that but it likely got buried with the problems peppe are reporting about using the kernel with 1.4.

That's pretty good battery life there! What are you underclocking? Min and max or just the min? What are you using to set your CPU clocks? I've been using RomToolbox. I have thinking about dropping the coin on SetCPU, but want to make sure it's what everyone is using to get this great of battery life. Sorry to thread hijack. I've come from a DX and didn't mess with these settings that much.
