Twitter Notification Sound File o__0 - Android Apps and Games

The official Twitter app used to come with a custom notification sound file called Tweeters. Though on my recent installs of the Twitter app the sound file is not present in my memory card or in the app. I believe Twitter may have taken out the sound. Does anyone have this notification file still, if so I'd love to have it. It was very useful.

[APP] IM Beejive Beta

I'm not sure if this is allowed, but since it's a direct link from beejive.com, I think it should be? I'm not actually in the beta.
http://beejive.com/android/beta/BeejiveIM.apk
If not, can a mod please delete the thread? Thanks
I might give it a try. I don't IM much these days but it's still nice to have a good client there for when you need it..
ATM i'm using the official msn messenger for android (without ads mod).
Do msn have official apps on android? What the name of the app?
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
It's called MSN Droid.
Edit: Actually I'm not too sure if that's the official app, sorry.
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
still in beta and the UI is pretty good.
yet the function is rather poor.
No it's not msn droid.
It's official msn, but developed by PICA (chinese company http://www.pica.com/)
http://www.androidzoom.com/android_applications/tools/messenger_cbpe.html
I'm don't think it's available in english market, so heres a link to the apk (it is a free app, not warez) http://www.megaupload.com/?d=BALZ1U08
It is modified to remove ads (the official one has ads >_<)

Need to hide app icon in notification bar, its truly annoying.
needs work but pretty good so far...will be paying for it once it becomes available...
Nice
Seems to work pretty good. I like the ease. It does appear to be on all the time though but I've not seen a significant battery drop to warrant removing it. Really wish they would have opened the beta up for more people, I hated just downloading it but not being able to participate in bug posting.
Actually you can participate, Maybe not bugs, but fatal errors that cause the app to crash you can send email logs of when the app crashed directly to them. After the app has a force close it will ask you if you want to send the log when the app crashed to them by e-mail.

You have to rename the file to change it to .apk file. (at the moment it's named BejiveIM.apk.zip)
If you have file extensions hidden then unhide them and remove the .zip and save.
I was getting a "Timedout" and then "no client key" yesterday but the app started to work again late last night. I'm not too sure I like the size of the icon like others have said, but I do like its the most stable out of the clients I've tried without draining my battery.... much.
Palringo is way better

Agree! Reason I uninstalled after a few hours. Besides that the app icon seems larger than any of the others I have. But not being able to disable the icon in the notification bar is extremely annoying!!

Hi, Thanks for posting this. I used to use it on my Berry all the time . . . I installed it from your link & imo it's the best IM client out there so far & still Beta lol! The feature that lets you email the conversation or post to twitter is sic ;-)
I'll definitely be buying this app soon as it's out officially.
yeah this app isnt bad at all, it seems close to trillian it will come down to 5 things...
-features
-batterylife
-speed/lag between IMs
-reliable connection
-price (seems like trillian will be free)

Aslamixer..... Does it work?

I am trying to increase the volume of my S3 over bluetooth (especially with doggcatcher). I understand Aslamixer should help with the volume but I am clueless about how to do it (or if there is something going else that will do it). Thanks!

Installed the .apk by clicking it or placing it in the /system/app/ folder?
If you placed it in the app folder with the other file reboot the phone and see if it recognizes it and works.

I installed it from the play store, ran it (which installed some additional files), and then opened it. Now I have a huge list of items, but no idea what any of them mean or what they do.

Couldn't help you there. I use Handcent SMS Pro Beta. I also buy their yearly subscriptions for $9.99. I can send out a text list and the schedule them to send if I want to send them at a certain time. IT has many options. If you do decide to use Handcent go to your applications>All and disable Messaging to turn of the stock application or you will get double alerts.

He isn't asking about a messaging app. OP is talking about boosting his BT audio.
@op - Have you tried the Viper4Audio mod? I used this for my earbuds and BT connection for my car audio. It makes a huge difference. There is a link for it under the S3 apps and theme section.
The Synergy custom ROM and probably many others have options for boosting audio playback on headphones and bluetooth, which I think is what you are asking. its not really clear what you are seeking, but it you mean media playback on A2DP on bluetooth, then ramble over the the development section.

[Q] How can I extract the new Facebook Messenger notification sound?

Hello,
The new Facebook Messenger (the UI overaul version), introduced a nice new notification sound for incoming messages. I was interested in extracting the sound from the app but I can't find it anywhere in a File Explorer.
FYI - I'm using Stock 4.4 Nexus 5 out of the box.
I am not talking about the "Facebook-pop.mp4". The newest version of the app introduced a newer sounding noise. It almost sounds like a water droplet.
Anyone have any idea how to get it?
Bump? anyone have any idea?
Root it, pull the app from data/app/, open the apk and pull the sound? If you really don't want to root though (come on, this is a nexus and you are on XDA ) I might get a chance to do this tomorrow if no one else will.
Edit: actually, you could download the apk from online and then copy the sound?

I don't use Facebook Messenger but I'm bored and I figured I'd try to help anyway so I installed it.
From Rom Toolbox's root browser, I found the sounds in "data\app\com.facebook.orca-1.apk\res\raw\"
I'm attaching a screenshot with a list of the filenames.
Got it!: new_message.ogg

edit: I used BetterZip for Mac and it opened the APK in a very neat way!

Any chance someone would reupload those sounds somewhere ?

I use Messenger all the time, the standard version and I never got a UI updated version and it still has that "pop" sound. What version is your app? Or is it a different Messenger version?
EDIT: turns out this thread was just bumped and its over a year old. Never mind.
Does anyone have the notification sound that can be found in the Facebook Messenger app now? Some of them are really nice and I would really like to use them for other apps!
Thanks in advance!

Is there any other site to upload to?
It always gives me a 7,85 kb zip. Both with Chrome and ES Downloader. Maybe zippyshare? It's pretty reliable and fast.

[Q] Android L will not play created custom ringtone

I created a ringtone using Ringdroid back when I first got the Nexus 5. Ever since then, I have been using that ringtone.
That is, until I upgraded to Lolipop. Now, even though I can select that ringtone and hear it when I select it as my default., it will not play when I get a call. If I choose one of the stock ringtones, it works just fine, but my custom created one will not play. Any thoughts?
Not sure what I did differently this time, but I finally got it to work.

I'm having issues getting some of my notification sounds to play.
I haven't had time to look, but I suspect it may have something to do with the audio file's encoding. Compare your file to one in the media folder that works.
Audacity may be able to do this.

I think you may be right. It looks like the specific "ringtone" encoding may not work with Lolipop, where MP3s do.
Had the similar problem with the pop.m4a notification from the facebook app which worked until 5.0 where it became silent. Tried downloading the mp3 version of the same file from the audio archive site and that didn't help at all (mp3 file still wouldn't play).
What I did in the end is download Zedge, searched for the facebook pop, found the sound which worked and just set that as a notification sound (well, I've downloaded it and placed it in the /sdcard/Notifications for the future use, but you can set it as a default notification right from the Zedge app).

Create an account on it, and log in to the phone via AirDroid through your computers browser on this adress: web.airdroid.com and go to the files folder, and upload ringtone to "ringtones" folder, notification to the "notifications" folder and that it. Set ring tone as usual via your phone. Btw, sorry on my bad english

Question Custom Notification Sounds and Ringtones no longer working after upgrading to the latest version of WearOS

I recently installed the latest version of WearOS onto my Galaxy Watch 4 Classic 46mm, I discovered that now I can't install the custom notification sounds and ringtones onto it. Does anybody know how I can resolve this issue?

Did this method survive an update?
Edit: just saw above it doesn't even survive reboot so an upgrade even less likely.
Who has already tried it, does it work?
Good afternoon,
Problem when adding ringtone to OPPO Watch. If you add them to the /sdcard/Ringtones/ category and after restarting the watch, they are displayed in the "Settings-Sound-Ringtone of the watch". The ringtone can be listened to and selected as a ringtone. However, during a test call to the clock, instead of the ringtone, a system sound similar to the sound of an error plays. And if you make a test call through "Find a device", then the ringtone works.
I tried to add a ringtone via ADB to the root of the system, where the standard ringtones are located. But, when copying, it gives an error. Through the file manager, when copying, the ringtone is not saved. Perhaps this is due to the restriction of rights. You need root rights.
Please tell me someone was able to deal with this problem?
Thank you!
After Samsung Watch 4 classic & Watch 4 Pro got the latest firmware update .Samsung locked many things.Like earlier one can add custom ringtones & notifications. But now one cannot at all.No matter what you do you can't set or add a custom ringtone or notifications. (BUT)
