[App Request] Shake phone to open Barcode Scanner - Android Apps and Games

Could someone please make an app whose only purpose is to open Barcode Scanner when you shake the phone?
This would be awesome for people like me who does a lot of qr code scanning, as at least I naturally shake my phone when I lift it from the desk and into position to scan the computer screen.
I would be very grateful if someone made this for me or gave me advice on where I can turn to improve the chances of this getting past the idea stage and into usefulness stage (development)!

[REQ] Lock then upside down app

Hi all!
I’ve found in MaxManila a god feature: lock screen then device upside down i.e. not flipped face down but rotated front screen 180 deg. That’s useful than you ware your phone in the pocket.
I don’t need any other features that brings "Pocket Shield" like applications. Only this specific feature. Can somebody help me to find it?
Looking for the same thing.
Closest I have seen so far is this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=478606 but i haven't had time to test it yet.
Moved as not software release.

I guess this is not what we need because this app. lock the phone then it’s wake up. What I want is an app. with only one function: lock the phone according to information from G-sensor, then device is in predefined position.

[Q] Anyone Get Smart Lock to Work Consistently (Lollipop)

I have tried Smart Lock using both an an NFC card and a bluetooth headset. Seems like it works some of the time, but most of the time I still have to enter the PIN code.
Anyone out there get this feature to work consistently?

Smartlock is working well for me with my car bluetooth... very consistent. I don't have any NFC cards to test with so I don't have a comment on that.
So I know we're on the same page - "working well" means that there is no need to type PIN or enter any sort of code to unlock so long as the phone is paired with the bluetooth? Would that also mean if you pushed the power button to lock the phone while it is connected to the bluetooth you could unlock it just by swiping without entering a code?

Yes, we are on the same page. I've used Lollipop in the car a couple dozen times now and once the bluetooth connects, then it is like there is no PIN code on the phone. It doesn't matter if it is charging, running on battery, or if I use the button or the screen turns off on it's own. When I hit the button to light the screen, I only have to swipe up to use the phone (no pin code required).
I've tested it with my pebble and that seems to work just as well... although I removed the pebble after a few hours. If I'm in a restaurant, I don't want whoever is sitting at my table to get into my phone just because I'm looking away (and my watch is right there).
Face unlock... THAT is not quite so consistent!
I have no tags or Bluetooth items to pair with, but I can't get consistent result with face unlock. Everywhere I've read that as unreliable as it was on KitKat, it's x1,000 times better on Lollipop.
I've taken probably about 30 different shots of my face with the Improve recognized face button. Scruffy, clean shaven, different lighting, some closer, some further away, in a winter hat, with my hair before & after I cut it, in a baseball cap, eyes opened and closed, my head turned slightly to the left & right as well as slightly up and down.
I'll take a pic to improve it, lock the phone and it'll work. Then I can set the phone down and let it sleep for a bit. Try to unlock it again and nope, have to enter my pin. Didn't change the lighting at all, the angle of my face to the camera, the distance of the camera to my face, etc.
Very, very inconsistent here.
I'm not concerned so much with people at my table, as people stealing it.
Someone should market a tiny bluetooth device that you can put in your pocked solely for the purpose of Smart Lock. Presumably it could be pretty tiny, as it would have less functionality than a bluetooth headset.

I started using smart lock yesterday with Bluetooth and on body detection on my Note Edge and been getting random notification sounds but don't know what for. It don't even show up on my notification bar. Anyone knows what's going on and what's it sounding off for? It's quite annoying. Other than that notification sound coming up randomly it seems to be working fine for me.

Fingerprint Scanner

just some obsevations ive come across with the fingerprint scanner:
1. its VERY sensitive!! keep fingers CLEAN...keep scanner clean. removing the plastic protective film helps tremendously!
2. LAUNCHERS- CAN/WILL affect the operation of the scanner!! Nova Launcer at default had NO effect on the scanner...HOWEVER...when i added and enabled TESLA UNREAD to the mix, the scanner WOULD NOT WORK!!
ANYTHING that allows (it seems) a VISUAL alteration to the homescreen/lockscreen (ie-notifications that are viewed on the home screen)...the fingerprint scanner WILL NOT WORK properly!
3. i use NEUTRON PLAYER as my ONLY music player. all is fine...until player/phone goes to sleep. upon waking...the FINGERPRINT SCANNER will not work!! when using default settings, Neutron will display the '"PLAYER UI" and/or the ALBUM ART of the song that is playing when waking the phone. disabling these features (in the settings) allows FULL operation of the scanner!
4. FACEBOOK MESSENGER- having CHAT HEADS "ACTIVE" will not allow the scanner to work properly..or in my case...NOT AT ALL!!!
5. in short..be wary of the 3rd party apps you use everyday. i use ALL of the above, and MORE, and the fingerprint scanner works flawlessy. just be sure to disable ANY feature that affects the waking /lockscreen/ or homepage. in short..if it VISIBALLY alters the above screens in any way, while asleep OR awake, the fingerprint scanner acts all ignorant.
one mistake...i have NOT been able to use the "TESLA UNREAD" app/addon in ANY way with absoulute success. nor have i been able to activate CHAT HEADS. these seem to "break" the functinality of the fingerprint scanner.
as always....feedback/ support is more than welcome.
hope it hepls...this IS an AWESOME phone!!

youll have to have the lockscreen....as there HAS to be a SECONDARY method (in case scanner doesnt work). during setup, you HAVE to set alternate method of unlocking phone FIRST!! i use the PIN....you can draw a pattern, knock code..all work fine. after that....you get to set the finger print scanner. use ONLY one finger, and watch the screen. be sure to place AND HOLD LIGHTLY the scanner in MANY different positions. mine really ONLY FAILS now if it gets dirty....simply wipe the scanner....good to go!!

Dead fingerprint reader.

Soooo I did read on the forums like a few months ago that someone's phone fell and his fingerprint reader stopped working.
I fear that may have happened to my phone, it fell from bed height to the floor (it has a rubber case) and I just picked it, nothing happened anyways, so I tried using the fingerprint scanner but it didn't work so I figured my fingers were sweaty or something like that.
This morning I try to do the fingerprint recognition and none of them register (Left index finger & Right index finger).
If this is truly the case then my fingerprint scanner is rendered useless, does anyone know how I can possibly fix it or is it just a dead function now?
EDIT: I restarted the phone to see if that would fix the problem, and then I went into settings to check the recognition and if it works.
Lo and behold the Fingerprint ID management setting has disappeared from my categories in the settings!!! I tried searching it and it shows up, but when I tap on fingerprint management it just blacks out and sends me back to the settings menu.
W H Y T_T
Screenshot of my Settings menu after I restarted the phone, notice how the Fingerprint ID category is completely gone ;-;
Looks like the OS detects the fingerprint reader as broken, and so it hides the fingerprint menu as consequence since it automatically decides that it's useless... Sincerely, if the fingerprint reader is really broken, the only idea that comes in my mind (if you're still on warranty period) is make a try by contacting Huawei's service center in way to make them fix the scanner, but you don't want to tell'em that your phone's felt because in this case warranty won't cover you.

Thanks redskull, I'll try to contact them, I've been wondering if it maybe disconnected, or something of that sort.. because it just does not seem possible it can break from such a low height :/ I'll definitely try everything though.

I can't really now, but this phone surely isn't the best about making resistance to drops on the floor. It's always a mid-range device, so even if it carries good hardware and camera, hurts could often be a pain. Hope well for you!

Need help regarding scan finger print through display screen and store to SQLlite db

Hi, I am developing an app for internal use of organization, which need to scan finger print through display screen and store to SQLlite db. I have tried but cannot any solution except use external device for scan, please share is there any way to scan finger print through display screen and store to SQLlite db.
Thank you in advance.
The only way a device can "look" at something is if it has hardware to do so. There is nothing in a screen that can scan a fingerprint. Unless of course it's a device with a fingerprint reader built into the screen.
