For the stock android keyboard is there an .apk that we can push or what method can be used?

How hard would it be to do this? I'm running Virtuous 3.1.0 if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance!
Edit: Just to clarify, when I say "stock" I mean the keyboard that comes with the AOSP ROMs.
With some help I was able to install the android keyboard by pushing the LatinIME.apk to /system/app and the libjni_latinime.so file to /system/lib.
The only problem now is it does not recognize the dictionary. Does anyone know of a solution?
Also tried to push the UserDictionaryProvider.apk to system/app but that did not work (force closed).
I create my Update.zip at installing all normal, but when Android start I have every 5seconds crash LatinIME.apk I try standart keyboard and keyboard from Gingerbread.
I have Star A5000 on MTK6516 Android 2.2.1
I've had no problems with this Gingerbread Keyboard.

Can someone please mod Samsung ICS 4.0.3/4.0.4 Stock Keyboard (which has smileys along with symbols in the keyboard) for Odexed XXLSC? Just replacing the odexed old apk does not work. I also tried replacing the files mentioned below, once the Keyboard showed up, but then only FCs..

3) libdhwr.so

hi guys,
i am new to rooting android, but i rooted my lg phone successfully but i wanted to get lg g2 keyboard so i downloaded a g2 key board and renamed my stock keyboard and tried to install the g2 keyboard. i some how messed up and now my lg l5 does not have a keyboard in it instead it loads up the voice typing when i start a new message or when something has to be typed. my original keyboard is not present in my system/app. can anyone help me to get my stock keyboard or any android keyboard in my lg l5.

in the meantime you can download a keyboard from the market then go into settings and change to the keyboard that you downloaded, by renaming your keyboard do you mean you have backed up an apk file? (By renaming the original) If so can't you just remove the keyboard you tried to install and then rename the original?

The thing is I don't really like the stock launcher.
Instead wanna use some other launcher by default.
I wanted to know if its possible to do that ( PS Ofcourse I can "silly me" but I explain my point later).
I wish to remove the stock launcher from the zip file and replace it with some other launcher of my choice.
Is it gonna work first and second how do I do it?
Use the dsixda's kitchen and replace the apk normally or something else??

Why you've to do that?
Flash the rom, then install preferred from play store and set it as default.

Its pretty easy to do so. I am aware of two ways:
1) Just flash the stock 4.x.x pa gapps. The replace the stock launcher and replace it with GEL.
2) If you want a launcher of your choice other than GEL, just install it normally and use a file manager (in root mode) and navigate to /system/apps and delete the launcher.apk. (i think that is what it is called, if not just check the name of the stock launcher and delete the corresponding apk)
