Screen 2
Definitely screen 2, Power button should be at the top, and the rest like in older builds. i hate when i press red (end call) button and phone go sleep
I vote for CURRENT because of the Power button on top.
Don't like NEW as it changes usual mapping and doesn't have End button mapped.
How about changing Search to Camera in CURRENT?
I agree..CURRENT mapping is more effcient.So I think
Not yet because camera (app) have some issue.

second ;D
dont like when phone goes to sleep because i pressed back/end to often
Personally i would like this setup:
Button Mapping
Power: 3
Vol up/dn: 3
Screen rotation: 3
IE: 3
Wheel: 3
Center/OK: 3
Camera: 3 (the two different steps as the two choices).
Green: 3
GPS: Perhaps map the nav app to this or something.
Red: Endcall if calling or in call, otherwise back. (This does not work currently, but perhaps a patch to spare parts -> end button behaviour could fix that).
EDIT: Nope a patch to spare parts wont do, that just changes the Settings.System.END_BUTTON_BEHAVIOR property.
Red with long press: Home
Power button is the only one to wake / sleep the phone.
I dont like 2 because of back not being on red, though i like to be able to end calls with it.
And i dont like 3 because i cant end calls with red, though i like to be able to go back with it.
So a combination would be perfect
Current mapping is better than new mapping
I prefer the current mapping. I find it very useful.
In New mapping - hard to end call
No end key, you can not end the current call at any time. In additional, After you pressed home key to do something while you are in-call mode. you must press call key and menu key to end the call. The soft call key pop the dial menu instead of in-call screen.
I like "current" layout, but if hold red (home) key, anymore there no recent apps list.
I prefer current layout but I would use camera button for home/app_list behaviour
[ENG]
Hi all!
I prefer the current mapping. I find it very useful.
As I said in other threads I'd like to improve the jog wheel that I find TOO responsive. Sometimes it's difficult to scroll LEFT / RIGHT in a text field without jump to another text field (such as in contact editing or creating).
And another lil thing: when the screen is locked u can unlock the device simply tapping the options button... I find this not so good because the sliding bar on screen is unuseful...
Thank u for all!
[ITA]
Ciao a tutti.
Ciao a tutti e grazie

Where is "Home" Key ?
In my pola100, with zImage 19-07-2010 without vibration ... I don't find the "Home" Key.
Both Red Call and Power off hold go to Shoutdown option.
Camera Key work as "Find" and "Vocal Commands".
So I can't return quickly in Home or preview the desktop because home key is missing.
Have you any suggestions ?
Regards.

Is good keymap, i already assign "end" key as "home".
It work, but if hold this key anymore cannot open recent apps list.
Opens only same menu as "power" key hold.
How to open recent apps list?
With current layout is't possible.

I try to better explain.
After setting Endcall as Home... if I press Endcall android come back to home.
BUT if in Home I press Endcall I don't see the preview of all 3 Desktop.
In previous kernel/release ... Pushing "camera" on Home, show desktop preview.
How restore this function ?
Regards.

Okey.
I got a Qtek S100 (or Magican, as you call it...).
I've been searching around för task managers that fits my needs, including this forum. I've tried the most popular, and some other, but haven't got jackpot yet.
All of the task managers I've tested works like this: Hit an icon with the pen (or finger...) and a menu pops up.
I want to press a hardware button, to make the menu open.
A long time ago I had such a program. I had it on both of my iPAQ models. A 3630, and a 3660.
On these models these program was attatched to the right buttons, se picture:

I'm not sure what these programs where named, but now you've got a clue what I need.
Any idéas of programs?
Is it not possible for you to remap the buttons, I mapped the camera button on my xda 2 to execute tomtom for instance.
dont waste time trying to map the send/cancel button.
there is no way to map.
i have tried all the whole list of Mapping button program from pocketgear.
none able to do it
probably you want to download a program that has 2 functions in each hardware button
for example.
1. calendar (press one)
1. pocket word (press and hold)
2. contacts (press one)
2. pocket excel (press and hold)
so on...
there u go, you can launch 8 applications
The problem is not to execute a program, that I can do well. The problem is TO OPEN A MENU.
For instance, press a hardware button and the start menu opens...
But, I want a task bar, that I can open it's menu by pressing a hardware button.
the start menu is just like a launcher
i have no idea how to map the start menu to a button
anyway, let calculate the step
using finger to press start menu (only 1 move)
using finger to press hardware button (only 1 move)
since no solution, we have to face it

do you mean iTask??
buzz
I found "magic button" to be a useful task switcher - but I don't know a way of using it with the hardware buttons. I also use buttonMax - you can create a macro that taps the start menu and assign the macro to a hardware button. I use "program menu" as my start menu which supports hiararchial menus so you can have access to a large amount of apps using a couple of button presses.
http://www.pocketmax.net/buttonMax.htm
I have already tested before this question is asked.
the only thing that cannot be done (that how i feel), is by configuring the 'send' button to map to a program (such as photos contacts 1.0d)
urh.. this photos contacts is not the built in program, it is an external program

Update: Now I've found another one, and I like this one even better.
HandySwitch is the name..
After upgrading to AKU3.3.13.ASERG, everything is perfect (fast, responsive, cool) except one thing, windows button assignment.
I can't assign it to other application such as Microsoft Voice command.
I would very much appreciate any help.
Maybe a bit out of topic, is there any way to uninstall Cyberon voice ?
I prefer Microsoft Voice command 1.6.
BTW my PDA is Dopod 818pro G4.
Thanks.

same problem
maybe because of the WIZA200
I have yet to see a ROM post-WM5 aku 2.3 that can change the functions of those bottom 2 keys (Windows and OK button). You would think they could have figured this out by now.
I read before here that since it's based on the Wizard rom and the Wizard doesn't have that two buttons so it doesn't work.
Hmmm...Don't know why I didn't think of that. This should still be made to work, as those 2 buttons were customizable as well on the Wizard. I wonder what the file buttonsext does? I see that it is referred to only once in the registry. Perhaps if we got this file from a Prophet ROM and replace it with the one on these Wizard-based ROMs?
give this tool a try. still beta but i think it run stable.
is simlar to smartkey but . . .

with SetMaxMem you can save the memorystatus after a reboot for the freeram display in top
if you "speedup" a application altab set your neo to 240Mhz if this app is in foreground
else it set it to 180Mhz
this setting is stored in registry ;-)
have fun
inteks
Woah! This is fantastic! I think this will be the most useful program if it does what I think it can do. So, you can target specific apps to run at faster speeds? Also, what do the line graphs at the very top represent? I have blue, red, and grey.
And, ta-dah, the buttons 1 and 2 issue has been solved. We can now change the function of button 2 to close apps with a real task manager such as WA2.
Thanks for the great work, and the task switcher is very nice with the end call button.
Do have some sort of documentation or read me for this?
no sorry. no readme till now.
the to lines above. . . look here - > http://pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=23466
in the middle its dark @180mhz and green @240mhz
So, is this altab.exe and compilation of smaller tools? Which tool is able to change the function of the buttons so succesfully?
This is the only one I've found to truly intercept the built-in functions before they execute.
the main function are the buttons/alt-tab and overclocking
the powerstatus display and the regtweaks are integrated small tools
/inteks
How do you overclock with this app, or do you need another app to do this?
Also, is it possible that you could make a version stripped of the status bars at the top? Or, at least give an option to not display it? Thanks....
for overclocking copy this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=255771&highlight=omapclock

Great job!
This is great! I used powerstatus, alt-tab and smartskey as my favourite tools (simple, very small memory usage). And i defnitely missed the possibility to assign buttons 1 and 2.
And now we have it all together.
I'll test an submit my experiences
Test results
I installed it (shortlink in windows\startup folder) and tested it a couple of days an it worked great (24kb ram, volume-button scrolling works better as in Smartskey). I have found 2 minor things:
1. Closing windows settings menu by doublepresssing the endCall button closes the shell, which results in softreset. Minor problem, ok-button works.
2. Left softbutton function is not catched by all programs. For instance, "Unlock" softbutton does not work. Minor problem, touchscreen does. Same with Total Commander.
Third is that my phone seems to crash more often than before, but I can't tell for sure it's your tool.
I have one question: The file is quite big (1,5 MB). What causes the size? Smartskey, Alt-tab and Powerstatus are very small, so the only thing left to explain te size is te capturing of buttons 1 and 2. If would be wellcome if it could be made smaller. Is that possible?
But even with this size it's great anyway.
Prophet G4
Aserg 3.3.13 rom
Radio 02.61.21
This app has fantastic functionality, but for whatever reason, it burdens my device running WA2. It's especially noticeable with the start menu appearing and other menus. Not too sure what the problem is, given that the app has such a small footprint.
hiho,
@2241Alexanders
jo, my mistake. . . i uploaded the debug version (size) the release version is 150Kb normaly, sorry.
i will upload a "release" version after i fixed the "closed shell" bug
what do you mean with "Unlock softbutton" ??
[edit] if you want the "hard" softkey to work you have to leave the "SoftKey L" in Setting on "<Left SoftKey>" . . .
i dont think that atTab causes the crashes ? no problems here
the programm does nothing until you press a button. (hook)
the powerstatus runs on an diffrent timer with 2sec interval (same as orginal powerstatus)
and every 5 sec the programm checks the foreground window and start omapclock if needed.
@floepie
what is "WA2" ??
btw with "task manager" (included in aserg's rom) you can check CPU usage of each program. alTab use 0.09-0.27% on my device @180MHz. most of this cpu time is used for powerstatus. without powerstatus its @0.00% most of time
(the "old" powerstatus.exe use 1.83-2.29% CPU time)

Wow! Very helpful utility! That's what I've been looking for since my Prophet ROM upgrade, as I really needed those two lost buttons!
Thank you very much, inteks!
But I have some suggestions.
Would it be possible to make the buttons used by the program customizable? Like the EndCall button, which now opens the task switcher - without alTab that button switches to the Today screen, and I'm really missing this feature.
Actually personally I would even disable the task switcher in alTab completely if it had such an option, as I don't really need another task manager - I prefer the way how AltTab.exe works: it shows a window with the icons, sets the focus to the previously used application, and if you just wait a second, it switches to it - very similar to how Alt-Tab key combo works in Windows. I really like that!
If the button, which opens the main alTab window (task manager) will be optional, and could be disabled, I guess the main window should show up just when the application starts. BTW, this will allow to easily assign the task switcher to any other button using the standard system Buttons control panel.
Additional actions, which can be assigned for the held soft buttons, is also a very useful feature! Is it possible to add such "Hold" commands for the hard buttons as well? "Button 4(Hold)" is standard, and assignable, but it would be nice to have the same for buttons 1-3 too.
Thanks!
hiho,

new -> it shows icons for the windows in the list.
and some bug fixes (end shell, filesize . . . )
@alpax
without atTab the "ok" button switch to desktop, too so the red button is useless but for end calls.
thats why i select this as main button for alTab.

I looked thru the registry and the Windows folder, all I found was startkey.exe, but its related to the keyboard only...
a workaround
if you set the ok/x button to minimize when tapping in the wktask options and use htc task manager in the options to close with x button when tapping, it will work like you want it to.

will try that, thanks.
Nop, doesnt work... Works fine on close, but on "OK" (like in the settings) it minimizes and never accepts the new changes.
I can still add a new action on WKTask to close on drag (and so accept the OK button), but thats even harder to use than the simple press on today to close the start menu. :/
In my case I use the Quick Menu to close the programs, such as Task Manager, but when you click on the Quick Menu screen appears but the set up to load the key on the phone and open the Start Menu of Windows!
I use a P3600 (trinity)

Thanks, but I got confused on both languages, lol...
So, if I understood correcly, you use the default start menu on simple press, but you press and hold so that quickmenu appears to close the open applications in its task manager option?
After some coffe I finally understood...lol.
You use quickmenu and have a hardware button to open the default start menu.
I still find my work-around easier, would prefer a real fix, of course. :/

Personal
System
Games
(and any other folder names you may have)
im having trouble making the taskbar transparent, for when u use a picture photo as wallpaper 6.5 makes the taskbar transparent.tried all the custom colors but didnt work..any ideas?
As far as I know the program has no way of doing that, remenber that it was made long before WM6.5...
Maybe they will add that option on a future version.
The best I got was choosing the colors as close as possible to the theme's colors.
maybe by ripping the file of the stock 6.5 taskbar somehow and overwriting it in to the wktask bars file...
Not likely, it doesnt use any image, only hexa color codes to make that degradê...

Very sad to see it doesn't blend with the skin. WinMo has become frustrating again for me...

Based on some of my own discoveries, and those here, I've written a GUI for the LED flash present in our Leo devices (I have one now!).
Currently, it doesn't do "brightmode" though it's pretty damn bright as it is.
There are two modes:
Press and hold
The LED will remain on whilst your finger is in contact with the screen
Double tap
The LED will remain on till the next double tap.
Morse
Swipe left/right to enter morse mode, then type your message and hit enter to have it display.
To exit, you need to tap fairly near the top of the screen.

You Sir, are amazing and wonderful for developing this app. Compliments!!! My HD2 is becoming a true a technological pocketknife in its own right!
Thank you very much, l3v5y! I just love the combined functionality & simplicity of this app. Very, very nice work!
Cool! Bravo!
Thank you!
I like it more than TorchButton
Ty !
Great App!!! do you think it is possible to implement a "pinch-to-set-brightness" experience?? That would make this app even better!! Its just an idea
Thanks for this, I really love it!!!
DDelux That's such a great idea! I don't know it it'll work, since you'll probably **** around with Volts through the LEDs
In Dutch:
Houdt het scherm ingedrukt voor licht tijdens aanraking.
Tweemaal toucheren om licht aan te zetten, ook tweemaal toucheren om uit te doen.
Druk op het bovenste gedeelte van het scherm om de applicatie te beëindigen.

Saw what happend to your HD2 l3v5y, terrible!!! I saw a glass screen for the Leo for $51 So hope it won't cost you the world!
Great ! Thanks
Hi installed with most of the functions working. But i have no button working on steering wheel.
The harness, called configuration A, here , doesn't have a connector for canbus box. I don't know if canbus box is a must for the buttons to work.

My previous head unit the cc3 replaces had a canbus box on it and the buttons worked on that unit.
I don't know if that is a design flaw? or cc3 doesn't support the buttons on prado 150? or what? I can't find any information on the internet. @TEYESAustralia ? or someone has experience? Help please.

Tolonglah.

no response. they used WhatsApp to communicate
Ok I finally fixed it! Here is what I did in case someone had same issue. It is partially my stupid-ness. For 2010 prado 150 gxl, there is no need of a canbus decoder box.
1. There is one flat plug, one of the two as shown in the photo above, I did not plug. Apparently it is important for the key information
2. in the "canbus setting" menu where you configure the make and model of you canbus. Needs to set to "NULL". I was fiddle with it before.
3. in the "Steering wheel button learning" in system menu, configure the button as instructed by the teyes instruction video. When entering this menu, if the previous two steps were done, numbers of 255 on top of each button config, would flicks, like changes to 254 for a blink of eyes then back to 255. Then you know the buttons are responsive now and the button learning will work.

S All Toyota cars use a remote steering system using impedance which can be adjusted manually.

Good job - you mentioned the Video 19 as a guide for setup Analogue Controls Mapping

The key and missing information from the first post. Seems all too common people leave out key information, which results in multiple posts of guessing - as can be seen here

So the standard, non-canbus installation.
The short of this thread is - find an experienced installer to assist if unsure how to install or inexperienced.
