As everyone is aware the Droid x multitouch keyboard has been ported over for us to use. As some people have pointed out in other threads, the spacebar is kinda iffy. If someone were to fix this keyboard to make the spacebar work correctly, I'm sure many of us, myself included, would be extremely grateful.

curious to see if this is as fast as Swype is...not likely, but worth a try
EDIT:
Just installed, it seems really cool..I'll have to unlearn Swype for a day or two to really know, but the word prediction feature is stunningly accurate!!
I can't remember; is SwiftKey a tap-to-type or a Swype-like keyboard? I got that email too, but I've never used it.

its tap to type, but it predicts the word you are going to type, so you never have to type an entire word...very cool predictive tech..
Hmmm i dont know if this will work on everyones phones but i have an HTC Incredible and today while typing to someone(Using Swype) i attempted to type "ahahahahahahahahaha" and upon doing so, one of the suggested words was and i quote "Godhatesfags" all in one word. LMAO! give it a try! if it doesnt work with "ahahahaha" try "hahahahaha" with the "H" first. i didnt swype all crazy simply left to right and back again!
Have fun!
BUG?
Godhatesfags is the westboro baptist crazy **** peoples website. I bet they're behind it!

Just wondering which you guys prefer or thinks better.

I used swype for a while but switched to swift a week or so ago and think I prefer it.

I used to use swype, but now I use Flex T9 Text Input. It was free for a day on Amazon. I love it! It's like swype, but seems to have better word recognition and I don't have to reselect it as a keyboard after a reboot like I used to have to do with swype.
I used to use Swype but now I'm using FlexT9. Absolutely love it.

I'm using swift keyboard. In my opinion nothing beats it. Wish it had a dark theme though.

The new swiftkey beta has a dark keyboard, so its coming.

Ha! another "this vs that" question put to bed. gotta love 'em
I prefer flext9 as well. I had swype and flex seems to be a better job of grouping realistic suggestions. Like swype "good" and it may give you god, and none of the other 8 options are what you want. But in flex it's usually right on. even with things like "well" the next suggestion would be "we'll". Swype usually gave me a hard time on contractions, or words with 2 of the same letter in a row. So far, flext9 hasn't.
+1 on flex t9....its awesome with 4 input methods. Like swype and stock keyboard in one.
I used to be a die hard swype user, Then I tried swift keys new beta its annoying ......but the FlexT9 is the best ive ever used....
swift is actually really good
Flex T9 for me, got it free from Amazon the other day. Feels a lot smoother and doesn't have all the nonsensical words that aggravate me so bad with swype. That **** makes me RAAAAGE when I'm using Swype and it throws in some non-word like "fre," and then adds insult to injury by not letting you delete the damn word from the dictionary. Think I'll stick with Flex for now =)
Flex T9, even if you missed out on the Amazon deal, well worth the money!
Flex t9 is better than both and highly recomended

+1 to Flex T9, awesome. I've used all the keyboards, swype was amazing, smartkeyboard pro was overkill, swiftkey very impressive but hands down the best is Flex. Many options and very customiseable.
I like swift. Works great for me
Previously, the HTC.ime keyboard could fit the galaxy S II perfectly but with the Note, it fills half the width of the screen. Can someone suggest to me how to fix this wonderful keyboard?? thank you very much!
I also miss the HTC keyboard very much... Much more convinient than Samsung one. But Sammy implemented S-Pen support both in Swype and regular keyboard, that's a plus.
is there a way to combine wonderful HTC keyboard and S-Pen support?
+1 HTC keyboard is still the best thing I've seen. If someone works it out it would be great.
smartkeyboard pro is the closest that another keyboard has gotten to. i miss the on screen 'add word' function of the HTC though.

Hi evebody
I just got my tab 2 10.1 today and one of the reasons I moved from my old tablet with honeycomb is the spellchecking option, the one that underline the wrong ones, but is not here!!!, after reading some post about it, there should be a spelling correction option in languages and inputs but there isn't, any idea what may be wrong here?
I REALLY meet it hehe
Thank in advance
Cheers!!
Tab 2 10.1 Spell Checker
Page 184 of the GT-P5113 user manual has the answer to your question....
Thanks mate, but that page just talk about the predictive text, which is the same as honeycomb Android. And like I said in my original post I'm looking for how to turn on the new "fancy" spellcheck system, just like office, which underlines all the wrong spelled words in a document.
Anybody????
Thanks
I would think that spell checking would be contingent on your word processing program. I'm hoping that you weren't expecting the tablet to spell check everything that it comes across.
Sent from my GT-P3113 using Tapatalk 2
Well supposedly ICS has a built in spell checker, you can see it the following link, just like in many others.
http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-4318?noredirect=true
And yes it's supposed to spell check in multiple applications
No body here is using it????
Cheers!
That is the stock ics (Google aosp) keyboard. Samsung has their own, and even my phone, has HTC trace as it's stock keyboard.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G with Beats Audio using Tapatalk 2
And does your HTC trace keyboard underline the wrong spelled words??
The Samsung keyboard doesn't
And do you have ics too?
Thanks
PD just another post about what I'm talking about
http://www.transformerforums.com/fo...lt-spell-check-android-word-processors-2.html
I actually finally ran into the red underlined spell check.. I was on the Nike store, and filling out my billing info of all places.. Unfortunately, I it was with my phone (ics).. I'll check with my tablet.
Sent from my GT-P3113 using Tapatalk 2
Don't worry. I know exactly what you mean, i had the feature on my Samsung vibrant running cm9. Now i use an HTC one s, which has ics/sense 4.0 with the HTC trace keyboard, but it still has the same feature. That feature is implemented into ics and operates independently from the keyboard. It seems though, that sammy took it out. It's not the only ics feature they took out, so them taking this one out doesn't come to a surprise. Either aosp based rom or sammy update is your only hope, just don't hold your breath on the latter.

no I've had spelling correction while filling out fields on the tablet. Click on a word when you are typing.
