Step For Installation: -
Step 00: Check The SPL required for ROM.zip matches Your PHONE
Step 01: Turn Off Ur Magic
Step 02: Press HOME + POWER (To Enter Recovery)
Step 03: Go To Option 2 ' USB-MS toggle'
Step 04: Paste the ROM.zip in root of your SD-Card
Step 05: Hit Back Button to Return Back to Recovery Menu
Step 06: Go To Option 5 'Wipe'
Step 07: Preform Wipedata/factory reset
Step 08: Perform Wipe Dalvik-cache (If U don't have Partitions On SD-Card This will Give adb error)
Step 09: Perform Wipe SD:ext partition (If U don't have Partitions On SD-Card This will Give adb error)
Step 10: Hit Back Button to Return Back to Recovery Menu
Step 11: Go To Option 4 'Flash zip from sdcard'
Step 12: Choose The ROM.zip, Hit Home to Flash The Rom
Step 13: Select 1st Option 'Reboot system now'
Now -> u should get it working

1. Why Do u Post Rom to Planet-Max?
I had lost my magic long back in Dec 2009, its the Planet-Max website own who lends me magic for development. if u paste download links on XDA it would cause trouble for me.
2. Why Does The Sleep Death ERROR Comes?
Sleep To Death is caused due to Multiple reasons
* My work is still in beta stages.
* Your sd card is not formated correctly (Only FAT32 Recommented For best performance)
* This Rom is not for our device (So Some clashes may occur)
* Donot Keep many applications installed for now (memory is low)
3. Do i Have to wipe B4 Installing
-> Yes Until stated that its a no wipe update
4. When is new version coming
-> It will come When i have time + Magic with me
5.Y Do u make Stock roms?
-> it is good for debugging where the problem comes from
More stock i keep more stable will be modded version (Becoz debugging probs is easy)
6. Bluetooth app is not working on this rom?
-> if u have bluetooth file transfer support from start itselft y do u need bluetooth transfer app
7. Ringtone just Rings once and then just goes off
-> please go to -> drawer -> setting -> Sound & display -> " Remove the tick from Quiet ring on pickup "

So this should be pretty the same as sampeis rom, with the additions that root/su is probably correct configured in this one, and it has the hacked maps, with int. nav and MT, which the otherone doesnt have.
Would be interesting to know if MarketEnabler runs on this one
These roms are pretty close to daily use if not already.
I can live (a while without) BT-support, and the camera works, just the post-snapshot preview that gets blurred, not a big deal at all

My litte suggestion Maybe made one version as close to original one as possible ... without change bootscreen, without adding gallery from NEXUS to have possibility to change background in home and locksreen with HTC Album app, and so on (new bootscreen is really cool ) ANYWAY U will do what U want ... One question about the usb mount. Does it automatically detect when it is plugged in to a computer like the older versions or do you have to use the usb mount program to get it to mount the SD card to a computer?
other wise i am super excited about giving this a try as soon as i grow the kahoonies to upgrade my radio and spl.

One more bug from the 5.06 rom is that it stays on 2g. even if you have the 2g unchecked.... i confirmed this by moving over to evils barebone rom and then it was on gsm only by default. It seems to stay on gsm...

Thanks for the rom! it's a good preview of the way it could be the n1 rom on our desire and it's nice...very smooth, clear and naked. But the sense has a lot "candy things" that i like very much, such as the integration between contacts and facebook, better camera, nicer desktop ui and greater web browser
maybe a mix between the clear 2.1 and some characteristics from the sense would be possible to have the perfect rom

To be completely offtopic, what do you need to tether Desire? So far everything I tried doesn't work without tampering with settings on computer and phone....

is it possible to have polish langaue within the rom? it was within the cm506 rom. also i am getting strange issues with exchange security on 2.2 - it was working on eighter n1 or cm506 desire rom, now its a problem that "phone has no security policy"

Richard's ROM has A2SD,and your dont. And as i can see the rest is the same as yours. Did you fix, or improve something that hes missing in his ROM?

Thanks for this. Could you please write a simple how to for getting your modded recovery onto the device? Is it just a small simple flash or do I have to wipe the device first to flash your recovery?
I'm curently on richard's rom, is there a lot of difference under the hood? My understanding is that both are WIP and more or less the same.

I use EasyTether app. One time run program on pc and now when i plug my phone into my pc i just leave it in Charge only but it auto connects to the pc and i can browse using mobile connection.

They were both working on their respective roms at the same time. Richard released first but why should Ahmgsk not release his too? Some people like to stick the devs they already know and i for one have used Ahmgsk's stuff before. Not heard of Richard. Plus side is Rachard has aps2sd.

This kernel contains arabic fonts, if not u can install it by applying the joined zip fil by recovery.
the letters will be displayed separately not attached.

Bluetooth not working
Hi Yamen,
Thanx for your guide on froyo for spica! But unfortunately I came to know abou this firmware only after screwing my spica i5700 with one of the kitchen cooked firmware by Lekshas on samdroid forum.
Everything else is working fine apart from the bluetooth which dose not get started even after much of tapping and restarting it still is not working.
My question is if I follow this particular kitchen cooked firware will it get the bluetooth functionality back ?

Everything is working on this firmware but the divx.
Tested and confirmed for the bluetooth, camera, wifi tether and usb Tether.
u can also install some other kernels to optimise your battery.

1 - Reboot in download mode (Power + camera + Volume Down)
2 - Apply File (i5700_LK2-08_PDA.tar) with ODIN (attached too)
3 - After auto booting shutdown your Phone.
4 - Boot in recovery mode (Power + Volume Down + Hang UP (Green))
i suggest then to apply "LK2.10.beta3_update.zip" by (apply any zip from sd card.
then you'll have an updated recovery menu that let you convert your file system to EXT2/4 instead of RFS.
Then u can upgrade well to Froyo.

of course, in fact a non rooted phone does not have recovery mode.
for the waiting is not longer then 5min.

I m having lk 2.08. Can I apply the beta lk 3.01 in recovery? What are the new benefits

I managed to get it all rooted and installed the cutsom rom. Thanks for the info anyway

with lk 3.01 u can convert your phone file system from RFS to EXT2 for system and cache and EXT4 for data, then u have booted your phone to use well the froyo mod.
furthermore u can optimize free space using app2sd from samdroid tool menu and rebooting.
this feature let u retreive your apps while upgrading to froyo.

I cannot use wifi tether after rooted to Froyo
I cannot use wifi tether after rooted to Froyo 2.2 using cyanogenmod's rom.
Tried downloading different type of wifi tether, but not working. My other devices such as laptop and ipod touch is not able to surf even though is connected.
It was able to work on 2.1 . So hope to hear a solution from the experts here.

Please help me how can i open download mode?

Wifi tether works for me, try search with Google "wireless_tether_2_0-pre10-Spica_0_2.apk" and normally utilisé Will works.

Thank you for your answer BUT i did what you said and nothing changed. just black screen i cant open donwload mode and why i dont understand. my phone work correctly when i open it normally.

This is a Custom Rom Based on ICS 30C Rogers

DO the Following without battery
Cathicng ur device in device manager write device manager in Run open device manager proatively switch of ur Phone remove the Battery and then with VOL+ button connect ur phone keep giving tries and tries unill u catch omap then update the driver after that has been done select the driver locally then u have a window for the disk select the have disk and reach for the folder of omap in the u will see a folder named USB Drivers in the u will get Omap_0 click on that your phone is now a omap driver
Now Setting omap Flasher :-
first / install the omapflash install
Second / select and Run..bat in omap
third/ press 2 now it will be waiting or the device
fourth/ without the battery on Connect the phone with Vol+ button till u reach the 5 second wait connect the battery
as soon as possible now it will ask fastboot phon press yes now OMAP is installed on ur phone
Now Setting the Port to com 41:- Essential or else LG flashtool wont work
Connect the Phone as the Same way as before holding Vol+ button
once Done that you will port in it open the port select it go to advanced option of port and change the port
from 5 or 3 to COM 41
THAT'S IT NOW JUST CHILLAX Take a cup of Coffee
LG FLASHTOOL AND LG FLASH GUIED AND 28RTBIG PARTITION
1- Setting up the LG Flash tool:-you will need this file which is very essential it writes firmware to the phone and no issue will arise LGP920_110622.dll: Get it here: http://d-h.st/Fc from Drastic00
2- and the 28RTbigPAT file which ill be available here 28brtlarge.rar--> http://d-h.st/dxl from xbsall
AS THE ROM IS BASED ON ROGERS 30C Big Partcition is Required so now start with the Flashing
after download 28RT large .rar un pack it and place it like i have done here
Now Press the ok Button and wait, now check at the trimmer button that all the 16 ports are selected or not if yes press ok and proceed further and press the arrow button now ur roms are ready to flash Chillax Have the half cup of cofee again .now when the coffee is ove put the battery back to the phone dont power up now holding vol+ connect the phone and dont touch it until it reaches 100%your phone will boot up autmatically and thats it u have ported ICS to ur Rom with Big Partition with 2 gb Phone memory worked out by XBsall
NOW FLASHING THE ROM:-
1) when you have flashed everything until 28BRT big partition You will have the 940 recovery installer
2) as i have seen my rom was not flashing in TWRP so install CWM Recovery
3)Go into Recovery Back up your data in case you want to go back Create a NANDROID backup
4) Wipe Factory, Wide Dalvik , Wipe Cache
5)choose zip from SDCARD
6) Find the UBUNTU.ZIP
7)FLASH the ROM and wait till it install
8)Reboot system now
Now you have installed UBUNTU.zip ENJOY
as i have made this guide and rom for other user and me i feel i will be getting a good response will be Releasing the Rom as soon as it gets uploaded on a good website the release will be Delayed of the Rom for about two Days
