Have you both tried to adb remove HtcLockScreen.apk? It might look broken when you do, but there is a fix for that too

If I remove the lock screen would the default screen be vanilla or would I need to install another apk?
Thanks for the input.

Super Circle Battery Mod for ANY ROM

I take no credit whatsoever for this mod. It doesnt get any easier than this. Just copy your /system/framework/framework-res.apk to your sdcard then transfer to computer to use with this tool
http://circle.glx.nl/index.php
If you want to make your own custom battery icons you need to select version Z!!!!!!
It can take up to 3 minutes for your modified framework zip to be posted
After its done, place on sdcard and flash from recovery
*WARNING: if you have a custom theme this may cause boot loops which can only be fixed with a nandroid. Flashing stock wont fix this.
**CREDITS: Fightspit (for makeing this mod), Qliratu (for making the tool to simplify the process), And Mendozinas (for the custom edition)
attachments below are for CM6.0.1

i take no credit for this whatsoever. Just trying to pass it along. Simply flash this zip from recovery as usual. This is the basic circle battery mod with the blue for the higher percentage. Tested confirmed working for CM6.0.1. This will not change anything else except for the battery image.

That's what nandroids are for, assuming you made one before you flashed.
Who wants to make a RED one?
figured it out
I found a stock battery file on another link..
Does allow for having the percentage displayed? I currently have that and like it
You'll need to disable the battery percentage, but it is included in the images so you'll still have it.
this put my cm nightlies into a bootloop..........dang. I really like the circle battery look.

This is only for the stable releases
Sent from my INCREDIBLE using XDA app
This update is great however it changes the transparency/color for the background when I slide to unlock my phone (so the unlock text ia not viable) and the number buttons used for entering a pin number to unlock my phone.
I'm using cyanogen 6.0.1 .

I really like it thanks! Just for other purposes, what would the proper way to be to undo this? Also is there any other options at this point for cm6?

i just posted a stockbattery.zip to undo this. Also if u would like more options you can go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=724778 to view the options and go to the second post for directions to making your own framework. NOTE: several of the styles emphasize "sense roms ONLY" be sure to notice that before trying

i have no idea why this would have happened. I took the stock cm6.0.1 framework-res.apk and only changed the necessary pngs and xmls for the battery. If you have a custom theme then its possible that would have been undone.

Thanks a bunch! I checked out the thread and I have no clue what "making your own framework" is, so I guess I'm sticking with the ones compiled already for now.
Also I downloaded the the with black letters, however there is only an outline of black with white in the middle, is there any way to make the letters all black?
Thanks

you could install CM and then flash the stock boot screen animation over it,
Or you could create your own custom CM build with the stock boot animation

Then google or search the forum. Not sure if the Nexus S works like other phones but you normally would.....
You would first have to find the Nexus One bootanimation.zip (they're the same)
Place it in one of the system folders /system/media/
Reboot and see if it works.

^^ some don't need to be flashed... some do
it depends on the ROM, the method I posted above would probably not do any harm. If it works, it works.. if it doesn't then nothing will change.
Again, I'm not responsible for anything that happens to your phone. Just passing the message by.

ICS Touchwiz

I love the new Touchwiz on this device. Its fantastic.
But, is there anyway to get it onto another tablet?
Thanks.

Have you tried backing it up with titanium and restoring on the other device?
Both devices are unrooted.
I sid try Root Exploreer, copying the apk to the other device but the install failed...
It's not going to work. Touchwiz is deeply integrated in the framework.

[MOD] AOSP Lockscreen for Razr I

Here's little something for people bored with crappy blur widgets. This update replaces unlocker widget with AOSP (variant with camera and unlocker items) on the phone unlock screen.
Installation:
=========
1. Copy downloaded zip image to your sd card.
2. Reboot into recovery and run update from zip file.
3. Enjoy
Thanks:

@wozn for the idea and testing
WARNING: don't forget to make FULL BACKUP before applying any changes to your phone. It's ALWAYS good practice to have fastboot files prepared to flash.
Does this work for unrooted Razr i?
Sent from my XT890 using xda app-developers app
A little confused, we don't have custom recovery yet
EDIT: I used Root Explorer to replace framework-res.apk and set permissions. Works great, thanks!

The screenshot also appears to have a 1% battery increment mod and the carrier banner has been removed from the top left of the notification bar. Are those mods included in this zip as well?

Not from this one, nope.
I replaced the framework-res.apk as well. The problem is, now the music widget doesn't work, it still shows on the lockscree, but the prev and skip buttons wont work. this is not a motorola widget, this is a stock ics widget

Yeah the lock screen widgets for beyondpod/google music doesn't work with the modded lock screen here also. Still prefer running the modded one, would be nice to have both ways though.

I've done the same, and now, I can't check for update (it say "you need a motorola services account" and if I click on "configure", it will loop for a long time ...).
Any idea for where do this come from ?

Quick pin unlock

Is there a quick pin unlock mod? On my older phones (Samsung) there was always some mod to make this possible.
Is there something similar on the Nexus 5? I am stock rooted.
In custom roms, yes. But it's not on stock
Is there a flashable mod? I don't want to install a custom ROM. I really like the way it is stock.

You can do this via gravity box now. I'm looking for a 'remove enter key on PIN keyboard' so if you (or anyone) knows of a method to do so, kindly let me (and others) know! Thanks !
