Can anyone port the Dial Pad from the Galaxy S or make a theme for Nexus one Dial pad similar to the Galaxy S?

Bump!
The black/dark grey carbon style status bar with the dial pad would be really nice, the key pad on the nexus one is kinda bleh.
bumb!
Would love the dialer and the notification bar. I love the system options thing at the top too!
Do want, the dialer looks awesome.
thats nice i want both
I wish someone would just port the entire thing, usually King ports things of interest. This is definitely interesting.. All these nice Android devices coming out, and porting them to the Nexus would demonstrate it's superior developer community.
Wish I could do it...
Pretty PLEASE
if you send me a pm specifically which .apks or .jar files you need i can de-odex and resign them and post them as i have galaxy..

Throw it in my direction in that case! Hahaha..
Just a bump for show of interest in this. I was watching a YouTube video of the Galaxy S hands on and noticed the settings in the pull down bar. Would be nice to have the notification bar for our Nexus One.
Wow. Goddamn it would be nice to have the Power Control widget options in the notification bar like that.
I'd like to add my voice to the crowd requesting that someone with more skills than me ports that over to the N1 <3 <3
bump! i want this lol

i found another forum post at http://forum.samdroid.net/f10/galaxy-s-apks-1387/
It points to a where you can download all the samsung galaxy s apps.. http://www.mediafire.com/?yy3ewxomj0z
Is this what everyone has been looking? Can I just adb the phone.apk file from above to get it working?

No you shouldnt just adb the phone.apk, the dailpad is mainly designed in the contacts.apk and in anycase, dont do anything yet, you will most likely get FC's. Wait a bit, let me dig in and see if we can get that pad on the nexus.

That was fast . You win for being the fastest typer. Not sure of the value, but wanted to see what it might take to do. Any interest out there for this? It does give more room for other "stuff" if nothing else.

It's an edit to a framework .jar file, and my .jar file has additional edits for the white taskbar/notification menu, so it's difficult to distribute.
I could probably do 2 versions. One if your notifications drop down menu is stock, another if it is AOSP style, and thus has some font/button tweaks, like mine.

It doesn't have to be a MetaMorph for this change, as we are not updating a handful of files in an apk/jar file. In this instance, we are replacing the whole thing.
That is one of the challenges in distributing.

Could you turn your expert theming hand to making the highlight on the normal one green, instead of orange. I like the original apart from that (this is great too btw, just not to my taste)

great job on this. might have a request for you since i had some trouble with signing the apk when i tried. that and i'm kinda hesitant to do it since i know he's going to have a new update sometime soon and doing this means i get to remake all my links lol

Anyway you could theme the icons using this set: http://www.iconspedia.com/pack/blossom-24-/

You see how the background is only as far as the keys are and you get the white (or whatever color the bg is of the app your on) sidebar and bottom stripe?
You can't see that on the original LatinIME.apk.
See, this is the original.
Its that dark gray background on the LatinIME.apk that I want fixed on the Voice Keyboard.
Come on, is no one gonna help me? I was told it was easy! I have no idea how to fix it, but I was hoping someone would!
I'm playing around with the APK a bit, its called "VoiceSearchWithKeyboard.apk", formery "VoiceSearch.apk" and "LatinIME.apk". I was hoping to find a transparent "Such_and_such_Image.png" in the new one, and the same image, only not transparent, in the old one. So far, I'm not seeing it. Perhaps its something deeper, something in the XMLs?
I can see you don't like the way it is now, but I think most people do, and I believe its working as intended.
Perhaps someone more experienced can help shed some light?
***Attached are the files in question***
In this post Konipub has a flashable zip for his rom with voice keyboard that doesn't have transparent background(atleast not in HIS pictures)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6182240&postcount=2
So I removed all the key layout files from my phone because some of them had different names and I know the zip wouldn't over ride them; and I flashed it. It looks just like the one from darches google ****s. I don't know if konipubs picture is inaccurate, or perhaps the background file is actually a file from the framework-res? I almost feel like it must be. Will do some heavy digging tonight!
: Disregard:
Its probably in an .xml within the layout folder. That keyboard bugs me when its like that as well...I'd dig through the .xml's, but ive been too tired to even focus on it...Try the Droid X keyboard, its nicer.

I take it back, I think the problem is because the. .apk is for high resolution phones. I'm willing to bet there s an hdpi folder instead of mdpi. Yup, I was right this is for high Res phones. Its an easy fix.

Any help would be appreciated.

It's launcher pro. The 2nd and 4th icons are set to nothing, and then launcher pro lets to pick custom icons for the bottom dock. It also lets you turn off the home button at the bottom of the app drawer, like in the Droid X.
more icon
is there more icons we can have...im diggin this icons for the evo
Since these end up more spread out than the real icons, could we do a dock background with the icons in the correct places, then just use blank icons, like they do for the sense looking launcher pro docks?
Can a launcher pro dock be pretty tall?
Edit: I figured it out, posted in another thread.
Android tutorial widget?

It's protips. It's included in a lot of the 2.2 distros, but HTC doesn't include it. One option would be to grab some sort of AOSP rom and get protips.apk from /system/app. I dunno if you can just install a protips apk, or if it needs to be pushed to /system/app on your phone.
CM6 includes their custom version called "brotips." The android is cyan and the 6 original sayings are there along with 6 more specific to CM. Bugless Pete has done one too, I don't remember where I found it, maybe his twitter.
Also try just googling protips.apk.
If anyone wants ideas to make a theme here is one:
I have attached some pics and a link to the original project. The project is dead, but I really love the notification bar icon in blue and the fonts.
It was a metamorph theme, I am showing you the picture if you can build a new one from scratch or just customize is some how... I have no idea how...

if someone made that it would be the best phone skin out there for the x10 :O plz geeks and friends make this!!
I tried to metamorph it... which does do anything... no changes for the xperia x10
Brace youreselves.. i have a suprise!
This was made on less than 10min! i take no credit for the statusbar icons or status bar! but lockscreen is 100% mine
Thing that sucks about this is that its MDPI which means it will be a pain in the ass to convert to HDPI!
But if no one works on this within a week.. I'll give it a try
EDIT-----
Actually I was just looking at this and many of the icons are very similar to the theme that I am working on currently. I think with a little change in Hue, saturation, and brightness, I can make this.
I'll get started on it on this weekend
Good to hear shukla! I'm looking forward to it...

ty it was easy... just use root explorer and copy ur framework-res.apk from system to sdcard. then copy it to a pc and open it with winrar and ull find a folder alled "res" inside there it should be a few folders there.. it might be something like "drawable-ldpi" copy it to somewhere ull remember on ur pc and just edit some of the icons there when ur done, open framework again and copy the folder back in there.
I really like your lock-screen as well.. how did you change that?
