I want to port the music app of the Samsung Galaxy S, but the app don't install in the Nexus One...
Why don't install? Can you help me?
i expect its because the music app requires some framework specific to Samsung phones.
what did you do to port it.. did you de-odex it and re-sign it or just copy app?
i have galaxy s.
You didn't read this post properly, it has not been done yet. And may never be able to be done. In my personal opinion it's possible... But it needs someone that is good at tinkering with the framework.

Does anyone know where I can find and install the new messaging app provided in Touchwiz 4? I'm talking about the stock Samsung messaging app. I tried it on the SGSII and it was pretty neat.
Try heading over to the SGSII or SGSIIEFT forums and ask for some on to pull it off and post. i know i saw in the SGSII forums some guy had pulled all the stock apps from his phone and uploaded them to media fire.
Pkay thank you

I have a question. First off I really like all the roms available for the infuse. I'm currently using paranoid Android Ics. But my question is, is it possible to install some Samsung stock apps like the video player or music player, program monitor widget, ect I have the "my files" Apk but it won't install.... Is their a way, what should I do.
You should be able to download samsung apps in the play store, but i'm not sure they are compatible with ICS

Well my wife has skyrocket and she just got official update to ics. And all her Samsung Alps still work. Would installing touchwiz help. And allow me those apps?
You may have a chance by copying the samsung apps from the skyrocket and see if they install.
But I personally believe there are far better 3rd party apps in the play store that will meet your needs.

Most likely they still wont work...the dependencies are in the twframework-res.apk and framework-res.apk -thats where the real touchwiz is
We no longer have twframework-res in ICS and our framework-res is different because its built off of aosp... so we don't have any of the dependencies...and will most likely never get them, porting them isn't an option...it would have to come from Samsung :/...they require libs and other stuff not available in aosp

I recently installed CM10 on my Blaze, and overall I love it, but there is one thing I miss. While I'm not a fan of most of Samsung's TouchWiz interface, I do like their calendar and phone/contacts apps. would it be possible to port these into CM10 as the defaults and use them instead of the built in CM10 apps?

Yes it would be great to run the TouchWiz calendar and contacts.
CM 10 is suppose to be the way it is, dr4stic isn't going to add or customize it to everyone's needs his job is to port it and make sure it works. Although there are ways of adding the touchwiz interface to CM no developer is actually going to take time for this, as few people request it. I have actually before ported certain parts of ROMs to other ROMs. Its a hard process as each ROM has its own unique code. If you are willing to try something like that feel free to message me, maybe I will be able to help you

The intention wasn't for someone to rewrite the ROM using the touchwiz apps. I was hoping that it wasn't difficult to port them over and install them like any other apk. I don't really know much about it so I wasn't sure if it was possible.

I'm sure its possible, but my gut says it would require a little coercing - with the likely target being edits to framework.jar. That's just a starting point guess though - these things are rarely as simple as they might seem up front lol.
I'd just recommend using the recently released default Google calendar app available from the play store.
If you've had a Nexus device it is the same as theirs... Hopefully you like it as much as I have.

After watching videos of Samsung Galaxy Note 2, I've thought that the multiwindow function was awesome, so I was hoping to find something similar for our devices. So after a bit searching, I came across this thread for SGS2!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2006684
I was wondering if this mod will work with our device as the .zip file is now, without any modifications, or if we need to port it in one or another way...
Wouldn't that be great?
And if it needs to be ported, are someone able to do it? I really want this mod, but I don't know how to port it!
Thanks!
Edit: After reading line nr. 2 on the other thread, I've found out that only Android 4.1.2 and deodexed ROMs support this, so the question is... Do anybody wanna make a port of it?

Hello,
I'm looking for the App & Widget from S Planner wich is coming from de Galaxy S4 or Galaxy Note 3 for the Nexus 5.
Beceause i'm loving this app & widget, but i can't find him for my phone...
Thnx for reading, and sorry for my bad english!
Greetz,
Marco
Sorry but the app requires Samsung's framework, in other words you wouldn't be able to install it on your Nexus 5..
Perhaps a 3rd party alternative via play store.

Google it, i think i remember seeing that app but it was for the galaxy nexus so it may be older version but would show its possible. Look threw galaxy nexus thread
Pure Grid Calendar Widget is by far the best option I found.

Calengoo is my favourite calendar app by miles and it comes with widgets. It does not look the best but it functions brilliantly. I used to use it on my note 2.
