[REQUEST] Yahoo's new push email in stock email app? - Nexus One Themes and Apps

Now that Yahoo has released an official email app for Android that uses push instead of polling, is it possible for the stock email app to be modified to use that?

As per my knowledge There is only mail client which support pushmail for all of three you mention. B'coz you may find many for gmail, but yahoo is concern there is only two real push mail client is available. One is yahoo mail(from yahoo itself). But this is for yahoo only. If you want single client for all of three, just find 'seven Beta '
latest version of seven (7.54) having widget support too.
- other features available is you can add corporate client/AOL and many too
- you can pause / schedule for push mail
- Auto pause with certain condition e.g power < 15% / roaming
- Assuarance - I have used it > 3 yr and it has never disappoint me

Email client
Look in the first post for push settings for Hotmail and Gmail. Yahoo does not have any push capability that I know of but you can have Yahoo check for emails every 5 minutes. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=988902

Push notification service

Hi,
Is there any application or service that can forward "email" to Android as notification or some kind of alert?
I know that GMAIL can do push notification, but I am looking for alternative.
Here is the situation, I have several home security IP camera that can send alert to my email address. I am thinking to be able to receive this alert into my Android phone (Nexus S), instantly.
As I said, Android users can use GMAIL for email push. But, problem with GMAIL, it will push "all emails". I don't want to receive push notifications for any emails. Also the fact that I have several gmail emails setup on my phone.
So, I am thinking if there is a service or apps or anything that can push email or alert.
There is another option to send the email alert to "email to SMS gateway". But, my phone provider does not have this feature. And I don't know which 3rd party service can be used.
Thanks.
yahoo mail also have push mail notification, Search 'Mail' on market you will get it. My experience is yahoo works better with android 2.3 n up, with froyo n eclair not satisfactory
Using K9 as email-app allows push for e.g. GMX (free, not paid). It works through "Imap Idle" most of the time quite good for me
You only have to manually configure the servers.

[Q] Confused by email in android

So I have yahoo mail and google mail and now setting up exchange. To get push do I have to use 3 different apps? If so why is there no unifying app for all accounts? This seems rather basic (not making the app but the need for one like that.)

GSuite (Google Apps, Gmail for your domain etc) email with stock email app

Hi all,
I don't particularly like the Gmail app, and was wondering if there's a way to get Google Apps email working with the stock email app?
The problem seems to be that because the email address is not @gmail.com, the app can't understand it needs to talk to Gmail for 2-FA and such.
You'd likely have to set it up as IMAP or POP since a non-Gmail app won't interact in the same way as the native Google product.
use imap.gmail.com port 993 ssl/tls
generate a app password if you use two way authentication

Mail app that supports push ("as mail arrives") delivery for custom domain/mail serv

Mail app that supports push ("as mail arrives") delivery for custom domain/mail serv
Has anyone found a good mail app for their S8/S8+ that supports push notifications/downloads of new mail as it arrives (for custom domains)? I have tried everything but it seems like the phone (or maybe its Android) will only support 15 minutes or longer for new mail retrieval.
I am using a custom mail server/domain (hosted via Cpanel server) as I don't use Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc for email.
Since I quite frequently depend on the timeliness of my emails, a window of up to 15 minutes before my phone receives the email constantly kills me.
Thanks in advance!

Download "Email" app from easilydo from apk mirror or from Google play if it's available in your region.

Try OUTLOOK if you have server/domain
You can find plenty apps in the play store. You need to look out for the "Exchange ActiveSync" feature. However most of them do charge money. Trust you've enabled the protocol on server-side, too.
Blue Mail is said to be good and free. The built-in Email app can handle EAS, too.
Your email server has to have push enabled only then s8 stock email app account set up properly will get push notifications. Generally speaking your email server should have Microsoft active exchange and Your email account on the app set up as exchange account. Without this I am not aware of any app that would allow push because it's your server that sends that signal to your phone.
