I got the two cases.

http://www.seidioonline.com/index.as...PROD&ProdID=79
You and see from pic Sany0162 that the one case is NOT going to work the bottom is WAY to curved for the Flame. Which leaves the other case. In Sany0161, 0164 those two points were straight and were about 2 mm to narrow to fit the flame, but using a heat-gun (or a hair-dryer) I was able to move the plastic out about 1mm on each side. This allowed the case to fit nicely. The clip on the top is a bit tight, it holds the case in REALLY well but I felt it was a little TOO tight and might scratch the top so I heated it and bent it up 1mm in pic Sany0165 you can see it, this causes it to go in real nice but its now has a little play, (not enough to be a security problem its still really in there, but you might want to consider not doing this step..)
Finally you can see in Image1 that the headphone jack is covered, but with a little dremel action that was also fixed (see 0169 and 170).
And thats it... until they make a case this one isn't too bad.
PS: only allowed 5 files so the rest are in the zip
Is there a pouch rather than case? I just want to put the Flame in and take it out to use when it rings. I actually want to use it like how a phone is meant to be used. I don't want to put a case to my face.
You could use the case from an O2 XDA2s... that is what I was using prior, I'm sure you can order it as an accessory...
http://www.seeo2.com/product/XdaIIs/template/XdaIIsAccessories.vm
As for the case above, you don't hold that to your face? You slip it in and out of the clip, its a holster style case. Its really only advantage is easier 1-handed removal/insertion, and a smaller profile, (its mostly just the width of the original phone were the pouch is more cause of the flip... but if you want a pouch the XDA2s works quiet well.
Thanks....
Is the belt clip removable?
Not on that one. But there are usually lots of generic pouches, I'm sure you would find a bunch at a large cellular store that would fit the bill.
I'm using an aluminium case that allows to answer calls without opening it, so the screen doesn't get dirty. It adds some size, but if you use the clip belt, that's not a problem. Anyway I only use the Flame for work, so it goes into my case with everything else; for my spare time I use an HTC Touch that fits on any pocket and doesn't bother.
Ultimately I settled on the trident case, pictures in this post. Thanks to gtny930 for finding it for us.
There are some other good case recommendations scattered through the thread, as I get the time I will source them up here for easier reference.

Hey all, i've been searching amazon off and on for cases for our wonderful device, and finally pulled the trigger on one:
Link here
Says it's by HTC, and I ordered from BlueMall, at $0.32 I couldn't not get it...
Rubberized case, two pieces to fit the slide function, looks like a winner.
I doubt it'll be as good as an otterbox as far as protection, but a buddy of mine has an otterbox for his Inspire 4G - and suffers from serious overheating problems. Since our phone already suffers from that with the stock battery i'm gonna pass otterbox by on this phone. (Anker 1900 battery solved overheating problems for me)
Anyways, at less then $3.50 shipped, seemed like a fantastic deal.
Meantime, I have a screen protector and bodyglove on it now, which seems to be a good temporary fix until some proper protection was available. Love the glove, but to me it's only a temporary solution.
What're the rest of you doing for a case or protection for your phone? I'd love to hear about it.
ArmorSuit and HTC Messenger
I got this:
http://www.amazon.com/ArmorSuit-MilitaryShield-Protector-T-Mobile-REPLACEMENTS/dp/B0058XMYDU/ref=sr_1_3?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1314661800&sr=1-3
I posted "customer pics" of what is looks like on my phone too at Amazon.
I'm coming from the G1 and was used to the G1 sleeve so I also bought this:
http://www.amazon.com/HTC-Messenger-Pouch-HD2/dp/B003DZ13OG/ref=sr_1_1?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1314661896&sr=1-1
It's a nice fit and doesn't stick out the top.
As a side note.. I also bought the case you posted. I like it but it won't fit over the ArmorSuit and I really like how the suit looks and feels on the MT4GS. The phone with suit fits well in the pouch...good combo in my opinion.
Found this on Ebay. Still waiting for it (and MT4GS) to come. =[
I'm not allowed to post links yet so just put a dot in between.

MT4GS Cases / Shells
The rubberized hard Body Glove shells offered by T-Mobile (and sold on Amazon, eBay, etc...) are bulky and are missing holes for the microphone above the camera lens. I ended up buying the full body Invisible Shield and it looks great. The only problem is that they didn't include a piece for the bottom front of the phone (under the buttons and around the touchpad). I can put a hard case over the shield if I want, for extra protection or to just change up the look.
I have the solid black case. Just some things to note. First, the back piece is very tight, and I don't think it will ever fall off. However, when removing and replacing the cover, the clips can easily scratch your phone. Second, one or two clips may not actually "clip" to the phone, but rather just get stuck near the top so it still holds from pressure. This really isn't noticeable, but it leaves indents from the pressure on the phone's case. In addition, the clips scrape up against the backside of the screen when sliding up the phone, and over time, start leaving a very noticeable mark. I corrected this with a just a strip of tape over where it was scraping.
The protector for the sliding part of the phone was a bit of an issue. It clips very tightly to the phone, but the clips scrape a lot against the edges of the phone next to the keyboard. In addition to making it a little more difficult to slide the phone, it leads to wear overtime (noticeable wear actually started in less than a few hours of normal use for me). I corrected this by actually cutting off the clips, and using double sided adhesive to stick that part of the case on. It doesn't scrape anymore, but at the same time, it just doesn't look good as the case doesn't properly hold together.
I don't really see how much of this can be fully fixed. I used to own a G1, and I didn't notice the issue of cases scratching the phone until it was too late, but I was able to notice it on my MyTouch. I'm hesitant to go for the BodyGuardz. I had one on my G1, and though it was nearly invisible protection, and protected 95% of the phone, I ended up dropping my phone and it landed on a sharp rock on part of the 5% that happened to not be covered (which ironically actually are the corners of the phone, where it is very likely to land on).
I'm actually a fan of the body glove case. I'm just waiting for something with more clearance because of the anker battery. I've heard goods things about the otterbox, but it is kinda bulky.

I was going to edit in my response about the case I got in the first post - but after this one I quoted I need say not much more.
I really want to like the case, it feels nice and looks good on the phone...but it makes it too much of a pain in the ... to get the back of the case off.
I didn't realize how often I pop the back of the phone open to swap out memory cards until I put the case on.
It lasted on my phone for about 3 hours before I took it off...and it scratched one corner of my phone when I did it. Scratch isn't bad, and it'll probably buff out over time, but it's the first damage the phone has suffered - ironically from the thing that was supposed to prevent this.
If you are never going to pop open the back of the phone to get to the memory card, and you don't mind the backside of your screen-half of the phone getting scratched up when you slide it open - then this is a pretty decent case.
I think the scratching the back of the screen part can be solved by using a knife to cut a sliver off the part that sticks op, then maybe using a small piece of electrical tape to cover that clip.
I like it, I want to like it, but I can't use it - I take the phone apart too damn much for a case like this to be practical.
I'm on the lookout for a gel-type case now. Think that'll be the perfect solution. If anyone finds one, please mention it here.
I got the black cheap case today. After reading the reviews I knew better than to just throw it on there. So I took a small metal file that I have, and proceeded to shave each clip down just a little. After a few trials I got the clips shaved down enough that they all fit and are not pressing against the bottom of the screen hard enough to scratch it.
The coating on this case was not really rubber. Its more of a dusted flat black. It's not slick to the touch, but it doesnt grip like the rubber of the phone.
The phone still fits into the generic style T-mobile mount. But its not as secure as without. I can turn it upside down and give it a light shake without coming loose. So hopefully it will be fine.
I got my psychedelic cover and I'm not very impressed with it. It makes the phone very bulky and awkward to hold (maybe because of my small girly hands -_-).
I find taking the back cover off particularly stressful because I'm scared I'd rip the screen off the keyboard.
Protection wise I haven't dropped my phone yet to see what kind it would provide but I'm guessing it wouldn't fall off the phone if dropped.
Haven't seen any dents or scratches caused by it.
I think I'd prefer it if it had a more rubbery feel as the texture is kind of smooth and slippery.
Overall, I'm satisfied with it but I wish I could figure out a way to take off the cover without the fear of destroying it. Haha.
Lily.

Quick question - in the pictures you uploaded to Amazon the phone back and sides seem to have a checker pattern. Is that pattern due to the protector?
The otterbox exists for this phone? Or you speaking generally about the otterbox product line?

Yes, it's a woven "carbon fiber" pattern. I took the pictures at angles where the light shows it more clearly. I think it looks nice and provides a "non-slip" surface as well without adding any bulk to the phone when you want to use it, which I personally prefer.

Thanks for linking this and posting the pics on Amazon., I'm going to order one today.
Thanks. I ordered one and installed it yesterday. The front and back went on great. I had more trouble with the sides but that is because I am not the most deft person around. There are a lot long thin pieces but MT4GS has a lot of moving parts. The phone looks great from the front. But the back has a bubble or two - again my clumsiness.
I wonder how long Otterbox will ignore this phone? Annoying....
Meanwhile, this HTC shell is gettin it done. Only complaint is that its not Otterbox.

That's about the same thing I got that I posted about before - just mine is in black.
I know I said a few posts back that I wasn't going to use it, but I had to do something to try to keep it safe.
I've been using it for a few days now, and while I have my gripes, I suppose it's okay.
I got tired of not being able to put it down anywhere, for fear of scratching the camera lens. This case sits further down then the lens, so it isn't the thing the weight of the phone rests on.
Before, i'd have to find something soft to put it down on everywhere I went, which was annoying. I wouldn't put it in my pocket, because they are always full of dust and whatnot - that little grainy stuff gets into the phone and I didn't want that.
Now, with the case on, it doesn't fit in my belt holster anymore - so I have to put it in my pocket or carry it. Desperately seeking another solution but coming up short.
What i'm thinking about doing is drilling some holes in the back of the case, and attaching a belt clip to the hard case shell itself.
So now i'm looking for either a belt holster or a clip I can attach to the hard case itself. Whatever ends up happening, i'll get some pictures and put 'em up here.
What I really, really, really, really want is a soft-rubber case, like a gel case of some sort that can absorb shock - not some hard plastic thing.

Can you 2 that got this case tell me if it fits OK? I hate cases that feel like they are going to fall off after they are on...does this one do that? Specifically when you slide the keyboard up with your thumbs does the front part of the case feel like it would fall off because of your thumb pressure?
Just wanted to be sure it was somewhat well constructed...the $5 price tag just has me concerned.

No, it's fine. I've dropped the phone twice and the case hasn't come off. And it certainly isn't about to come off from handling/usage of the phone. It fits snug. Supposedly its made by HTC, if that means anything. The case does it's job without problems.
Just waitin for Otter.....
Any body have a silicone case? Or one of these?

It fits snug, coming off accidentally isn't a problem. Both the top piece and the bottom piece are secure, normal - or even some exaggerated abnormal - use won't knock it off.
The longer I use the case the more it grows on me, I really like the silky feel of it. There have been a few situations already where having a case protected the phone - I haven't dropped it and hope I never do, but since it's becoming a portable video game system/controller amongst other things it can't be without one.
I suppose you could do far worse then this case, but i'd trade it for a gel-type rubber case in a heartbeat. Hard cases don't protect from shock damage.
Just wanted to post a couple of links to some great cases.
I have this vertical flip case http://www.ebay.com/itm/Carbon-Fibe...369238?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item2314c5e656
and it's perfect. My phone is always protected, even from drops while talking, and I don't need a screen protector. It's also very easy to take on and off for battery changes.
I can fold it backwards like a kick stand to prop my phone up in landscape mode on a table.
It's not magnetic, so no problems with signal.
Throw it in your purse/pocket with the keys. Not a scratch!
I've had it for 7 months and it looks brand new. I'm not going to say it looks like lamb skin but it's much classier than the rubber cases. (It's Carbon Fiber.)
Draw backs:
Looks like an 80's car phone while you're talking because the bottom flap hangs beside your face. Not bothersome at all though.
For heavy texters who are picky about "feel" while typing the flap might be annoying. But for light texting it is not in the way at all. I honestly hate texting so I don't know.
Carbon Fiber Leather Case Cover for T-Mobile LG G2X NEW
"NEW GENUINE LG T-MOBILE G2X NEO DIARY WALLET CASE COVER"
For a more expensive look (but only $24.99) there is a vertical flip case at the bottom of the page here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/260774463768?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 (I don't have permission to post the picture.)
These are not pouches, but fitted, flip-open cases!
At the top of the page it shows the horizontal cases. I don't like this option because I can't figure out how you would answer the phone! LOL. But they sure look nice.
The vertical version looks like a good bet. However, it's not quite as expensive looking due to the red elastic on the bottom. Small sacrifice.
I don't have this case yet, but what I like is that you can fit a couple of credit cards in it.
What I don't like is that it makes the phone bigger (1/4" lip.) I think it also has a magnetic closure, which could mess with GPS etc.
Honestly I'm so happy with the cheap one above that I haven't been motivated to try this yet. Please let me know if any of you try the horizontal or vertical versions, and what you think.
Here http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-GENUINE...Accessories&hash=item3a65bf9fa9#ht_5648wt_905
are some more nice looking horizontal wallet cases. But I just can't wrap my head around the awkwardness of talking on it.
Update: I guess you fold it back doubled against the phone but I could see it being difficult.
All of these cases are great for us girls who don't like manly belt clips. I carry it in my purse, or a small "lanyard" purse around my neck. Perfect to slide into a back pocket also.

Not just girls... I hate belt clips as should any man because they get hung on things while you're "working"... (whatever your work is)... Belt clips are the #1 cause of dropped & damaged phones, if you ask me. Phone is sticking out there asking to be hurt. I guess that's a man thing...

Now if I can just find one that isn't black. Tired of the that black hole in my purse eating my phone. I can hear it screaming but I can't get to it time!

I shopped for these pretty carefully and eliminated cases that would cause problems such as:
-Closures getting in the way of the screen and proximity sensor.
-Cases that open "up" instead of flipping "down." (Although I decided to order one.)
-Making sure the camera and headset jack are easy to use.
-Making sure there aren't exposed corners or unprotected areas of the phone during a fall.
So I ordered the MiniSuit case for the infinity... in concept its pretty good, but...
1. The thickness of the leather near the bottom edge hinders the ability to dock the keyboard. Sure it can be done but you basically have to wrap the case around the tablet when docked. Trying to dock with the case on caused slight damage to the metal coating on the infinity around the dock holes on either side of the charging port and caused a slight cut on the back of the tablet.
2. If you do manage to get the thing docked with the case on, the thickness of the boarder that holds the tablet in the case really puts alot of strain on the docks hinge. I don't see any visible damage, but I don't feel confident leaving the tablet like this for long periods of time.
3. Say you do manage to get the entire tablet together and in the full case. The entire thing is loose and does not like to stay aligned right, you will find yourself constantly pushing and nudging the case back into position. Not really fun considering the stress already being put on the henge.
Regardless, I just cant recommend this case unless your just looking for a cheap tablet only case.

EDIT:
Honestly this case would be halfway decent if the leather on the bottom half of the case was thinner. But it is not... Ill try contacting the company and seeing what they can do.
darn, i should have this case today. Oh well, it wasn't expensive. I guess i will see what other alternatives there are. Thanks for the review.
just received mines. i see your point. It does add a lot of thickness to the tablet. and using it without the dock sleeves feels cheap. Guess i will keep hunting.
Mine showed up yesterday and I set to using it right away. I noticed the same issues. Mine even went so far as to start to tear on the tablet side near the hinge. Mine is going back in the box and headed back to Poetic (another version of the same).
BTW the material is bonded leather, so sticky and gross. I used a leather cleaner and conditioner (the same one I use on my Coach briefcase) and it did no good with removing the cheesy sticky plastic feel. The cover for the tablet only is awkward as the spine portion is large enough tor the docked keyboard, without the keyboard it sloppy and not really useful.
Great idea, poorly executed.

hopefully another company will execute it properly. For now, im thinking about the Transleeve. I dont want the extra bulkiness.
I bought this case and really like it. I don't have the keyboard, yet, but I intend to use this as a stand alone tablet most of the time. Removing it from the case and docking doesn't seem it would be a big issue for as often as I intend to do that.
For those looking for a stand alone tablet case, I really like this one.
Can someone recommend a bike mount compatible note 4, preferably under 20$ ?
I bought this one from Ebay, but the phone fell twice. The mount itself is very sturdy, but phone grip is poor. Fortunately the phone was inside Samsung protective case, so no harm done.
Many bike mounts are not big enough for large phones like note 4, so looking for suggestion if anybody is using a good quality one, which can hold the phone securely even on bumpy roads.
I've been looking for one too, and there are options on Amazon, but I'm considering just fab-ing my own with some metal I've got lying around.

Seidio:

But you'd have to be using one of their case/holster combinations, or get the holster for the caseless Note 4:
http://www.seidioonline.com/samsung-galaxy-note-4-spring-clip-holster-black-p/hlssgt4as.htm
and assuming you'd want the phone 'face out' you'd need to check that it can be secured in the holster that way round, as I believe these are designed for 'face in' usage.

Seidio is pure garbage. I had their Convert case w/ belt clip holster and the holster detached from the belt clip at the slightest pressure falling to the ground. Seidio Customer Service stated it was due to the size of the N4, funny I have no such problems w/ my Otterbox Defender. The Convert case itself is pure garbage too, the rubber outercover that goes over the Surface case is designed so poorly designed every time you use the fingerprint scanner it moves off the lip of the phone & the composition of the way too soft rubber is a dirt/lint magnet.
As far as buying anything from Seidio's online store read the thread I started about it. Worst experience I've ever had by far purchasing anything online. I paid for the freight to send back my Convert Add On Kit & Seidio refunded zero so now I have to initiate a chargeback w/ the bank that issued the credit card used to pay for it. And that was after I jumped through all the hoops they require to return something and after they issued an RMA.

Seidio has pure garbage products & the worst imaginable customer treatment and hassle to try to return something.
I used this Arkon Mega Grip in my car for several years/phones (incl. N4) and they make a bike mount for it. I can't vouch for the bike mount but I can say the spring loaded Mega Grip arms do hold the phone securely & I would think the elastic bungee would make certain the phone stays on the mount. It will be cheaper on Amazon.

I use one of these on my motorcycle

I have always used the German made Herbert Richter brand of car holders. They are well made and last forever though I have never used their bike mount
After trying couple of them from from Ebay, I decided to make one of my own using some plastic and parts salvaged from the ebay ones.
It looks a bit ugly but does its job.

Lol. Worlds first ever Bike Phaser! Hope its set to stun!!!
Seriously though that is awesome job dude. I'm thinking of making my own as well because all the other ones just don't look that safe to me for mountain biking.

I didn't see it that way before, but now that you mentioned, it looks a lot something like that.
I feel a lot safer biking with this one. I dropped my phone twice with other commercial mounts.
although they have been sold out for a while, this one from amazon works really well. i've fallen off my road bike 3 times and it held up 100%. the case is easily detachable. and touch screen works well with the clear cover.
the only thing i wish it did, was to have a slot for the light sensor so that i can answer phone calls on speakerphone and not have the screen always go black. besides that, it's great.
I use this one:

Don't ride a very rough route to work but have not had my phone fall out. I also have just a flip case on the phone.
Slip Grip is the best, I have used them since my Droid Incredible days. They are custom molded to each phone and each case available for it. If the case is not listed email them and they will let you know which one has the precise dimensions to fit like a glove.
Slip Grip Galaxy Note 4
Note: I am paranoid and still use a bit of velcro to double secure the phone when mountain biking.
Here is a pic of my setup

I'm still looking for a better option

I use my note with the samsung original protective cover http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galaxy-Note-Protective-Cover/dp/B00NP3K8Y2 and I'm looking for a better option than the ones I have (see below). The Ibera case seems large enough, but its still sold out and I canĀ“t find in any of the amazon European locations - but it does seem like a very good option.
I have something like this, which works well, but ist as little on the tight side.

and recently bought this, but this case is tighter than the pannier bag, so I'll be selling it

I use the topeak 6" drybag
http://www.topeak.com/products/bags/smartphone_drybag_6in_bk
Fully waterproof, allows use of the screen, power button and home button. Also allows me to keep my phone in the Spigen slim armour case inside the drybag. There are several fixing types available, I've got mine strapped to the stem with the fixing which came with the bag.
Been looking for similar products. Thanks for these product ideas!
