How to remove HTC Confidential? - General Questions and Answers

OEMDrivers has encrypted...
When over Windows MObild frist run, HTC Confidential and a mobile char on middle of screen.
I need this OEMDrivers, so who can help me?
More thankfulness.
PS: Sorry for my English, I'm come from China, only have a little English.

You need to replace DDI.dll with one from a different ROM that hasn't been watermarked.

You'll need to upgrade the ROM to a retail release version, when one becomes available and someone figures out just how to upgrade the ROM on the Hero. You may need to wait a few days/weeks.

Chinese ROM Requesting

Hi, i'm requesting for a chinese rom image for the kaiser, it can be either simplified or, traditional. Thanks in advance!!!!! I think i saw some people having problems with rom's extraction or what not, i'm a bit confused as to what they were talking about but i don't wanna brick my device since i moved from 8125, to Hermes, now to Kaiser........and been successful, i've already flash one of my kaiser to original rom, but i just got another Kaiser and i need to make is have chinese on there for a friend, Please someone help me,
Thanks!
Jason
P.S. I really enjoy reading the great posts here.
Me too, I flashed my Kaiser from Traditional Chinese to English, and it is now working perfectly. However, I do want to have a Chinese, hopefully Traditional Chinese, ROM "backup" so that I can flash my Kaiser back to Chinese before I take it back to HTC for repair.
Please do share with us.
So I'm guessing that there isn't anyone here with a version of any Chinese ROM for the Kaiser...........could this possibly be true????? any help please!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!!? THANKS
I have the 1010 version and I am trying to figure out how to dump the rom out since I want to flash mine to English. Will post it once I have it dump out.

bokingwen, thanks for the info, but ultimate posted the dump rom in July, I am afraid it is qute a old version. I bought my Kaiser/TyTN II in Hong Kong in mid October, it is a standard unlocked TyTN II with Traditional Chinese ROM. A few days later, I dumped the ROM, and flashed it with HTC standard English ROM. It is working fine for me now.
However, I need to get my ROM dump into an executable image so that I can restore my TyTN Ii if I need to take it back to HTC for repair. Do you , or someone out there, knows how to do it. I followed the instructions in the other thread in this forum to revert the ROM but with no luck. Since then, I gave up, and wait for someone kind enough to post the file in the forum.
If you guys need a original HTC Traditional Chinese ROM Dump, I uploaded to Rapidshare. Here is the link: http://rapidshare.com/files/66749161/Kaiser_Original_Chinese_ROM.rar
If you happen to make it an executable image, please do share with us. Thanks.

Hello,
With my understanding. No one successful make a working Chinese raw ROM back to flashable ROM. Since the ROM has some problem.
I have one rebuild by imgfs tools 2.1rc2. But it lost almost all HTC customization except HTC home. It may caused by imgfstools shrink the storage rom or other reason. It is unknown now.
I am planning to fix the ROM but searching for hint here.

Hi kfluk, thanks for your advise. I keep reading your conversation between you and austinsync in the other thread, I know you have been working hard on this topic. You are the expert among all of us, in term of Chinese ROM. Please do update us if you come up something. Appreciate your hard work!
Good info I guess I can save my time on working on the rom, looks like it is not going to work. I was going to flash mine to English ROM too.
I'm confused as to what you guys are talking about...I'm currently downloading the two ROM DUMPS, and so they aren't executables i suppose, so......are they tested as working ones, or there are a few errors in them?????
Like, what can i do...except the SPL thing to install the rom........are u guys saying that there is no way currently (as of right now) to flash a Kaiser to Chinese Rom easily?
As i understand is that, we have the files of the ROM, but we can't create the EXE to make it run and put the ROM in?

I think the current status of Chinese ROM are:
1. You are dump the ROM from the Chinese version of Kaiser/TyTn II.
2. However no one is able to turn these dumped ROM to a flashable ROM.
3. You are right there is no way to flash a Chinese ROM back to the Kaiser, yet?
Correct me if I am wrong.

Changing language/rom on Kaiser (TyTN II)

Hello guys, and merry christmas ;-)
I was just wondering, i got a TyTN II (Kaiser) recently, but it was bought in france, so im kinda stuck with french language.
I want to update the phone, to english or norwegian language. I know the warranty will be lost, but the phone is useless for me now anyway. I have been searching alot on the forum, but i cant seem to find an english rom i could use.
Do i use the Hard SPL to unlock the CID, and then flash the phone with a WM6 english rom?
All i want, is to get english language on the phone. Could i install Duttys rom? (Dutty's DualTouch Dial OEM Package)
Thanks for a great forum and work guys!
i have the same question ...
is it possible to install MUI packages onto the device?
something which is similiar to MUI for winxp or vista?
thanks.

I agree with the #1 post. It is always better just flash it with the whatever language ROM that you want instead of monkey around the files of an existing ROM. If it is just a matter of modifying a few files, the following scenario will not happen.
There is no (HTC) official Chinese phone sold in US, in fact it is damn difficult to find any HTC phone in U.S. phone stores. There is no official Simplified Chinese HTC Kaiser ever made. HTC is a Taiwanese company and they make Traditional Chinese HTC Kaiser plus other European languages Kaiser. Check their web site, there is no U.S. sales/service offices.
I normally get a phone in Hong Kong and flash it with English ROM and install a Chinese system which can read both type of Chinese characters.
So replace the ROM is the best way to go. This forum have enough info for how to do it. (Of course, you have to unlock your phone first).
i totally agrees and i am using the same method at the moment. using a cooked english rom and add in applications and fonts to support read/write chinese.
but when i was using asus p525 & p535, i understand from the cookers that they extract mui files from simplified chinese wm6 image and port it into the english rom. so i believe there might be a way to do a cab installation files with the require languages files and it can be installed onto the device. taken into consideration that our kaiser has abundent rom storage space, installing this mui package shouldnt be much of a problem.
anyway, this is just my thoughts, i am no cooker nor expert, hehe. so it will still takes a real expert to work out this mui installation cab.

Changing the language, you must flash your device with another ROMs. WWE = World Wide English.
1, Flash the Hard-SPL to be sure that you won't have a brick by bad flash. Read here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=410150
2, Pick the orignal shipped ROMs http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Raphael_WM6.1_ROMs OR cooked ROMs http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Raphael_Cooked_WM6.1_ROMs
thanks

ROM upgrade 1.48+

Hi ... I am looking desperately looking for a new Official ROM upgrade in English above 1.48.4.5 I downloaded from the HTC website that gave me the Greek version because if my serial number.I stupidly thought it would only be a question of language but it is not. For example my index in People no longer works because the langauage is all wrong. Also I prefer English Ireland because we have Euro in Cyprus not Pounds.
Can anyone help!
It was HTC ambigious answers that made me download the stupid thig in the first place
Welcome to forums
It would be very important to know what device you have in order to help you
have a look on the Wiki to locate your HTC device
Good luck,
