PLEASE HELP!! looking for english ROM

I need help.
I have a new Imate JAM (Docod) from taiwan and it is in japanese or some sort of an asian language.
I need to flash an english rom to be able to work with it.
I know how to flash ROMs, I just need to know if this is possible and where do I get this english ROM.

Will I just need to run it?
I saw several posts here regarding poeple who are trying to flash from German or other ROM to English ROM with all sort of modifications, operator code and so.
Is it simple as downloading the ROM and run it?
That wasnt the ipression I was getting reading the posts here.
If it is that simple, then Im all relaxed now.

well the only problem you could run into is COUNTRY ID CODE ERROR and its not a big worry if read the thread below twice or thrice may be more than that and then follow it......i am sure you will figure that out too.... its piece of cake trust me only if you understand it properly.
download the rom and upgrade it...and if you get country code then follow this thread its not a big problem trust me...

yeah, i havent been around much.. been working 14 hour days and dealing with a cheating wh0re wife... been almost to busy to breathe, i pop in and troll every once in a while.. im gonna try to start coming around more, and looks like i have lots of reading to to, i feel like i am behind in times..

by BRUSH i think he meant he upgrading the rom.
weakass chinese - english translation software is to blame.

brush means flash,
if i'm guessing right, he followed the guide on XDA forum to flash his kaiser with the hardspl and then wants to flash to taiwan english version rom, which should be the same as the hk english, known as the wwe rom, he flashed it upto 36% and suddently it stop, so he thinks there is something wrong with the rom, so he is requesting another copy of the rom and may be some help too.
since i have no experiences in flashing wm phone, may be someone can help out.

I think he is trying to say the flash fail after 36% progress, then screen turn into wrong color? He is probably has the HardSpl installed and flash with a WWE version of ROM with CHT support. He wants a CHT ROM to reflash.

so ... if a reply back is in Punjabi ... the OP is able to decode the "instructions" and follow the directions as NOT to brick his device ???

English ROM - Newbie

Hi Folks....ive been looking around the forums, and as my knowldge is rather miminual could someone hold my hand?
Ive just bought the tytn II (italian) and i want to change the OS language to English. With my limitated understadning, some of the roms ive seen are bundled with extras, is it posible just to install one section (i.e. the language) or is the language part and parcel of the complete rom?
I dont want to ask 'which is the best?', but could someone suggest a rom that isnt so bundled with extra tweaks?
Also, ive read somewhere that the phones arent locked...si this true or do i need to do a Hard spl like http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=334678

Take it easy, use your Kaiser for some times and get used to it
meanwhile read all the stickies and search for some answers around this section and the Kaiser section.
Hard SPL is a must and its easy to be done
If you want a www rom; there are many verisons, the Shipped http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=332246
or cooked ones, you can use Dutty's Hybird, its stable and fast.

I understand your point about using the phone a few times, but my italian is really bad, so i cant set it up as comprehensively as i would like...
I just thought that i would be better to get the language setup first, before i start to customise the phone

OK, get it unlocked with the HARD SPL, and flash it with the Duttys last rom

What the Best ROM 4 the AT&T TILT?

Hi friends!
i bought a new at&t tilt or htc tytn II...
i want change language on it to italian, but because i'll flash the rom i want know what is the best rom (stable and with italian language) for my palm.

To find the best ROM for your "palm", do the following:
1. Browse through the upgrade section.
2. Locate all the ROM releases for your language.
3. Read through the ROM release document.
4. Decide which ROM offers things you want.
5. Flash the ROM.
6. Test it out for few days.
7. (optional) If you don't like the ROM, flash a different one.

And make sure you read about the radios before you ask why your sound isn't working with some ROMs...

Also, your keyboard isn't going to be mapped correctly with non ATT roms but there is a TILT keyboard fiix out there somewhere.

And look through the threads before you ask general questions like this. You are likely to get blasted by people telling you to do your homework.

S11HT English Rom ?

Has anyone managed to convert the S11HT to English yet ?
I have searched the forums in vain - Who will rid us of this japanese OS ;-)
Don't mind being a beta tester btw ..

i was working on something similar, to port an english rom. but i cant make it work with the current radio of emobile.
stay alert for news.

a few people have tried to cook the ROM but they can't seem to get the screen cal to work

You could be come a hero to us english speakers living in Japan. I love my S11HT and have been happy with emobile's coverage my area except for the emobile black hole at Shoppers Plaza in Yokosuka. But I am occasionally frustrated with the Japanese interface.

sorry guys, i have been a bit busy ...
also i need a device (s11ht) to test the changes i made.
but just keep hoping
the last time i tried it, it didnt work but maybe is because i dont have a s11ht (i have a tytn2).
the radio of s11ht is different to the tytn2 one, (all commands .. all) because it needs to support the 1700 mhz band.
but at the moment, i got working some things (OS) on the tytn2.
just wait..
also, try to install a Diamond ROM into your s11ht and tellme what happens.
if nothing works, then we must wait for the xperia rom (because xperia supports the 1700 mhz band and should work with the s11ht Radio)

Sorry we were never able to get a copy of the original shipped ROM.
I can say on emobile the new radio is significantly better than the old one. I need to fix my sig.

Now we can make the Emonster english. I've tried this using both the L26_daimond and Hyperdragon III. The only thing I haven't been able to make work is display of Japanese Fonts. So if someones solves that life will be great. What you need to do:
First get hard SPL installed then
grap the 1.71 radio from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=410953 Thanks to AllTheWay for ripping the radio from the newest Emonster ROM
Get one of the new cooked ROMS I have tried L26_Diamond and HyberDragon III the Augest 4 version

If you install Askal's "Let's Japan No.6", you can read Japanese in English rom. It includes Japanese font as well. After you install it, you need to change keyboard layout with registry editor.

I have tried let's Japan No. 6 and when I install it I can not use the red and green telephone keys to start and end calls.

You need to fix the registry after install let's Japan No.6.

Or you can get the cab file to fix it from here;

Hi. I have had the S11HT emonster for a year. I would like to change it to English but it seems like it requires a lot of knowledge that I don't have. Does anyone have any suggestions. I read the post

1. Install Hard-SPL
2. Choose english rom which you want and install it.
You can choose any cooked rom in this forum. But WM6.1 should be much easier to install Japanese font.
3. Install Askal's "let's Japan No.6"
You can search it with Google.
4. Get the cab file to fix keyboard problem
