Help Me Please Upgrading :(

I'm trying to upgrade my I-mate Jamin (G3)
I followed this guide :

The first 5 steps went successful, and I've tried installing multiple ROM's like :
Transformer 1.1
Touch VII
and both ROMs are giving me same error on command prompt ( although in the end it comes as successful upgrade ) and this popup of "SUCCESS" comes on my device while upgrading.
the error i'm getting on command prompt i'm getting is :
Writing the new CrossBow OS Rom ...
Copying C:\Downlo~2\itsutils.dll to WEC:\windows\ItsUtils.dll
could not update Itsutils.dll to the current version, maybe it is inuse ?
try restarting your device, or your active sync.
then that Congratulations msg comes up ~~
I hard reset my device and I'm still on Windows mobile 5
I'm a NOB please help .. tell me what I'm doing wrong ??

-Download again all the .zip's from web to the desktop and extract all to desktop again
-disable antivirus and firewall
-run pvtemp.exe(choosse between g3 and g4 depending of your mobile model)
then run the update.bat
it works with me

Little help needed

Hi guys/gals
Ok im not a newbie here and have flashed many phones with cooked roms .
Now is this just me i just dont understand how to flash my magic . i have downloaded everything to my laptop , vista 32 bit ,
i connect my phone then phone askes me to mount sd card , no options to install new drivers for the phone or just use to use the phone and not no the sd card .
So how do i get it to see my phone so i can install new drivers for it that came with the stuff i downloaded ? do i need to put the phone in bootloader ?
i have debugging ticked and everythimg on the phone i just cant get the pc to see my poor magic ,
and another thing in wikki it says open dos to files and cd ?????????? what the hell is this lol how do i do that , any help would be fantastic as i want to play around with my magic , i guess its like a kids birthday getting a presant and not knowing what to do with it sigh
Im all for learning and finding stuff out for myself but in this case their is so much conflicting info around on google which to trust and which not to . i have seen people have had probs getting vista to install the correct drivers but no answer to the problem ..... also i have not even got that far as my pc wont see my little magic .....its not magic to me yet

Having stayed away from Vista thankfully I can only describe how to really do it in XP but what you basically do is:
1. Connect the phone to your USB and do not select to mount SD card from your phone
2. If you then go to your device manager that shows the list of devices installed under USB you should have something like common device or so forth, if you keep opening them up you will find one that says Android Phone
3. Once you've found the android phone one select to update drivers, then just navigate to the drivers folder on your pc (included in the Android SDK)
Secondly to open dos you go to Start -> Run and type in cmd and press enter, you get a little command prompt box.

ok i have read the page 11 x now , i have my stk files in a folder called new on my desktop.
can i get dos to see it can i hell lol noooooooooooooooo why is vista such a pain in the ass
also what cd am i ment to be getting dos to see ?
i feel such a noob again .

You can get to your desktop from command prompt but think its under something like:
C:\document and settings\yourname\desktop\ or something similar, i would recommend just copying the folder to c root so its something simple like c:\android\sdk\tools or something.
just keep looking around and checking with DIR whether your in the right place =o)

Ok i have found all that now with command promt with your help of course ,But its a big prob with vista a lot of people are having problems installing the drivers for htc magic as vista keeps installing th default divers and you cant turn it of even if you tick do not update drivers it updates them with no option to install drivers . also you cant update the driver iyourself after that as vista says you already have the best driver for it ! Their are hundreds of posts about this problem with lots of ways round it but none actualy work .
you cant even install adb or fast boot .
GOD DAM VISTA . ASTA LA VISTA when or if i find a solution for this . Once again thanks for your help .
Oh to add all the people having problems like me have connected their phone up first without having the development ticked . and vista installed drivers for that . which is part of the problem one guy has it working but only by installing vista again . now thats going a bit far in my eyes lol

Just one problem thread regarding issues with what i have said none of the methods listed work !?????

Ok i found this by playing with my pc after much hassle from vista here is what what i found.
Use a different usb cable (i used my other htc cable) dont ask me why but it will see the devise as htc phone usb . now download the new driver below .
goto devise manager now look for portable devices , you will see android phone . click update driver now click have disk point to the driver below and yeppppp it trys to install it ,, now the prob i have is windows found driver software for your device but had an error when trying to install it . device can not start code 10 .android sooner adb testing interface . now thats the first ime i have seen adb testing blah blah so i must be on the right track . sorry im just trying to put as much info down as poss , so we can try work this out as many people are having the same prob but why ???file is not uploading but can be found on the link in my post above this one

also the prob with fastboot is you run it and it says this application has failed to start because adbwinapi.dll was not found . re-installing the application may fix this problem but does it ????? does it hell lol

I have rooted my HTC magic using windows 7, to get the driver to install have you turned on the USB Debugging, when I did this it required a new driver when I connected the USB cable again.
Setting can be found in Settings - Applications - Development - USB Debugging
Then i followed the wiki guide found on another thread on this forum category

I think its to do with when i first connected my phone to the laptop i did not have it ticked and vista installed its own drivers . but now i want to flash with debugging ticked it wont find anymore drivers nor let me choose drivers . google is flooded with people having the same prob ??? lets ask all so helpfull microsoft why haha hahahahah best joke this year their vista support is run by donkeys

Ok after 5 hours of looking reading and searching i have decided that at the moment their isno way around this on vista it is for many reasons the drivers are not written for vista , the way vista installs drivers with no way of updating or turning of auto install !!!!! so il say it again god dam vista​

hey...please help...something went wrong on my first flash

hello all,
after going through many files and threads here, i decided to update my rom to "Windows Mobile 6.1 for ported from Moto Q by Dr. Martin Gonzo"... (After removing the sd card...) First, i run the sda_application unlock...got a message "successfully unlocked. reboot sda" on my pc...i rebooted my vox. Then activesync connected again..Then i run "uspl_116_jockyw.bat"... it asked several que...like beta release, wish to continue or not...den remove sd card...etc...i'd already removed the card well before, so i acceptd all the prompts...and as per the readme file, i shud saw a penguin..waited for that...inbetween, on my vox...it prompted for two files "haret"..etc..i pressed yes on vox...din see any changes on vox for dat....and finally i saw a penguin on top left corner of my vox...some scripts were runnin in the middle...so small it was, couldnt read...i waited for screen to turn black/ bright... but wat i see was a mixed screen of penguin, some protion black(top and bottom black bars) and in between d usual green wm6 homescreen...i felt something went wrong..but tried to check by running "ROMUpdateUtility.exe"...wen i run it, vox automatically rebooted...and i got an error msg from ruu, could not connect to the vox..i started ruu again, (vox rebooted and active sync connected again)...ruu showed me current image version....and i pressed UPDATE button...i saw RGB color on my vox, and a usb connection established btw my vox n pc...then suddenly it showed 100% wid an error msg...on pc....(my vox automatically rebooted) the error message on pc was "image file corrupted"...and after that my vox not gettin connected to activesync.....
The phone is workin fine i tink, i can see the home screen n all...
where i went wrong...??
i wished sooooo much to see wm6.1.... but ......

This is how I do.Follow Instructions.
1) Connect your mobile with pc check whether its connected with active sync or not.
2) Use sda_application unlock.exe to unloc the mobile ..It will ask you to reboot.Dont reboot .Keep it as it is.
3)Then open uspl_116_jockyw.bat .Run it as administrator and it will as you to follow the instructions.just follow that .After all instructions the bat file will vanish.The screen of your mobile goes black.
4) Run Flash.exe from the ROM you downloaded.Wait for 10 mnts then it will reboot atomatically.
5) after reboot dont do anything ..Have some patience .it will do "cold reboot".It will take 5 mnts.
After this it will ask you to press OK to reboot .
Thats it .Enjoy Now.

[Q] Installing apps on HTC HD2

I am having a problem with the installation of apps. The problem is ,is that the app will download, but when it comes to installing I always get an error message saying unsuccessful install. I am new to the forum. So any help would be very helpful. Thanks,

I've experienced this too. Sometimes helps softreset after download and then install.

I have tried hard reset and soft. Every app from the market place does the same thing. Download then failed install. Also when I plug the usb in, my computer doesnt recongnize. Such a newb.

do you have activesync on your computer ?

Yes, activesync doesnt recongnize either.

it is an usb recognized issue ... first uninstall active sync then install it again then launch it then plug your phone and wait untill the installation of your new hardware installation finished ..
for the market place check your settings and make the installation on device ... maybe you have it on storage card and you have issue with storage card ... and also try app confirmed to be working for hd2

Hello , ant thank you for the interest . I have been searching the internet for days trying to figure out whats up with my phone . I got as a gift from a friend to my young sister , but the phone is stuck on the login screen.
Methods i tried to resolve the issue :
Hold down power volume - and + , and restored factory settings : didn`t work .
Try searching for official android relies for my phone , downloaded tons of different software , in some i had to make a folder : dload , and put the UPDATE,APP in the folder , but when i try to update with the fastboot menu i cant seem to see the update file.
I have downloaded .zip files and try to put them on a new sd card and install them , i can see the zip files but when i try to install them it says : signature verification failed .
I Cannot access my phone using my pc , it simply does not find it as a device . So if there is a solution to all of my problems , i will try to send a virtual beer to everyone
