Hello! My name is Matthew and I am a blogger. I will write an article on the problems (not technical) of an app developer. I decided to open a new thread here because I believe XDA is the largest community of app developers.
I ask some leading questions and then maybe you built
1)Are you for or against free apps? Why? Your apps are free?
2)Would you use tracks and analyzes services for your mobile apps' sales? If not, why?
3)If a blogger contact you and ask you redeem code in exchange for a review, would you accept? If not, why?
4)Have you ever done to help the beta testers? If not, why?
5)Would you use a low-cost but high quality service to get feedback from people downloading your app? If not, why?
Thank you!
Hi.
Does anyone knows which are the advertising companies that provide ads for Windows / Linux applications ?
I'm sure that there must be many because there are freeware programs that show ads. Others offer 3rd party software to be installed, so they must be making some money to do it.
I googled for it but I failed to find an answer.
Thank you all.
umm... im not really sure what your asking or how it relates to the HTC ONE?
you know these are the HTC ONE forums?
Oh, I'm so sorry.
I wanted to post to General Discussion -> Q&A.
How can I move this thread to there?
Thank you.

Hi.
Thank you for replying but I don't want to monetize free mobile applications. I want to monetize free desktop applications (for Windows and Linux).
Regards.

To be honest It is almost not worth the trouble. Most people only see the ads while installing and you have to give them the option to not install any add ons. Mix in that most virus detectors will prevent any program that installs anything else as this is considered a virus.
There is one named DesktopAd
Since your Windows app is free, I guess you have many users on it. Then you can add in-app advertising to get revenue. There are many advertising platforms which provide this kind of service. You can find the most suitable one. For Windows desktop apps, I recommend DesktopAd's ads. You just need to add their ad SDK and don't need to do many thing, you will get paid through ad clicks every month.
Desktopad.com is a good choice.
Free desktop apps are more popular. So you get relatively advantages which help you get more income by in-app ads. As you know, almost all the apps have ads in it, you can select one ad payment method. As I know, CPC is good one. Many app users will click the ads unintentionally or he has interest in the ads. But it will have a result, you can get income by every ad click. So I would like to suggest you try to search desktopad.com.

Recently I was informed by another member of XDA, about posting multiple version of the same app in Google Play... My question is, what is the policy for free and donate apps? If i was to have two apps, both the same, one for free, the other for donations... Does this fall under the same rule as don't post multiple version of the same app in Google Play?

I have seen discussion here about which app store is the best, my question as a newbie is quite different:
Can I publish my app monetized with Admob and Tapgage as it is on several app stores without changing anything in the app itself?
Do I break any Google publisher rules by doing that?
Hello.
I do'nt know if this is the right forum, if not just move please.
I have the following question: There are apps on the internet, which allow one to crack ingame purchases. One of these
apps is freedom for example. you just have to press a button, and you get ingame purchases in a game of your choice for free.
I want to know, why things like that actually can exist, and how they work. Are they using bugs of the google play store? Or of the apps?
Why so many people can use it, without getting in trouble with the laws?
Thank you for sharing your thoughts about this topic.
We don't discuss warez on XDA at all. Any app that can bypass paid features of other apps, falls under that category.
So please review the rules here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/announcement.php?f=256 Especially number 6. :good:
You will not find help with those apps on this site.
Thread closed.
Thanks,
Darth
