The Iphone has lots and lots of apps for children. Where are all the children apps for wm? Especially for young children ages 3-8. Anyone have some good cabs? I'd really appreciate it!
There are quiet a few educational apps available in the WM marketplace, although most of them are paid apps.
Moved as not software release.
Have a look on freeware for ppc and freecabs places like that google comes up with a few

Hey community
I'm Pete and although I've been registered for quite some time now this is my first post so: Hello everyone!
I've been searching my butt off in order to find a multiple choice quiz application for WM6. I've looked at a bunch of stuff and dug around in sourceforge too but no luck. As I use a lot of freeware apps I'm perfectly happy with on my PPC I wouldn't mind at all to use another one. But if there's a feature rich commercial version I wouldn't mind paying either.
So: I'm looking for a software which would allow me to take (multiple choice) quizzes. The possibility to make quizzes on my own (preferably on the desktop PC) is a must. Embedded pictures/sounds would be a big plus.
Does anyone know of such an application?
Have you looked at MondoPondo?
Am not sure if you can author your own quizzes but it may be possible...
Hey rjcb23
I've never heard of MondoPondo before and just had a look at it. As far as I can tell quizzes aren't editable which they should be. Besides, according to the faq it seems to be a complete multi player game and I intend to play alone to kill time when I'm on a train, plane etc.
Nevertheless, thanks a lot for the reply.
Anyone have any other ideas?
i was browsing around and found out the iphone has a dog training app with a clicker for clicker training. anyway to get this on windows mobile and any other dog training apps availible to get?
I don't know about WM apps for dog training, but I can guarantee you that there is no way to have iphone apps in our devices. You might find a few clones, but not the apps. Sorry...
found this :

dunnow if this is what you need, im not much of an animal lover
I'm just wondering if anyone is familiar with some artistic style apps, for example ones like Ethereal Dialpad.
In a sense that they're not your typical 'app' or game, but theyre just really cool, fun and have replay value.
And for anyone who is familiar with the demoscene (e.g. pouet.net), are there any demo-like apps for android?
I think there is amazing potential for an Android demoscene, people could create some truly stunning audiovisual presentations and having them on a portable media like that makes it so much cooler, being able to show friends etc. Also as shown by Ethereal Dialpad, really cool effects are possible by utilizing the touch input.
Any suggestions?
Also just saw this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=425216 this is what I'm after. How its based off a demo app of WM. I can't use LWP, so anyone know of similar demo apps etc for Android?
I have found two actual demoscene productions for android... Do you know of more?
Yellow Rose of Texas
Para 'N' droiD
(Can't post links as I'm a new user... But just look them up on AppBrain.)
There are all sorts of tech demos on the app market (google for: appbrain "tech demo") but I don't find most them that impressive really... I hope we get more creative apps in the future!
Awesome man that's exactly what I'm after! If you find anything else like that let me know.
have a look here
hxxp://www.pouet.net /prodlist.php?platform[]=Mobile%20Phone
replace hxxp with http and remove space after .net
lots of them are .zip so you'd have to download them to see if they're apk
the category is just mobile phone not specifically android
hopefully there will be more coming
Good point - I had not spotted the mobile phone category before. Only found a single additional android app though and it was a tool instead of a demo (Morning Routine - havchr .net /mr/).
I really like all kinds of creative music apps. My all-time favorite is AXE on Nintendo DS (see youtube. com/watch?v=1ewMNgiTQ30 ). It's really simple concept (you play staccato notes using stylus to a predefined backbeat), easy to pick up but very hard to let go... I have searched the app market for interesting musical apps and found these so far:
PP-Electone (a basic piano app with 128 different instruments)
SpaceTheremin (a simple theremin-like instrument)
MusicGrid (a step sequencer akin to Tenori-on)
Lumin (another Tenori-on lookalike)
Loopstamatic (a three channel ten second audio looper)
I'm hoping android attracts more creative minds in the future. If case Jordan Rudess is reading this, *please* port MorphWiz to Android ok??
I also love retro sounds so I was really happy to discover the Droidsound app. It plays back original music formats from C64 and Amiga using emulation engines to stay true to the sound of these classic computers. Definitely recommended for all android fans who like chip music!
Android Market has been growing with an average app submission of 10,000 per month. Whether this figure is the actual number finally ending up in the Android Market is unknown.
I wanted to create a list of Apps that I just cannot live without. I put my finger on them at least once every hour and sometimes even more.
The silent geniuses of this world, who mostly reside here at XDA Developers and elsewhere have made some wonderful innovations which just hits your technological G spot.
I have compiled a list of just few of the apps, with descriptions adapted/adopted from others who have done the hard work.
1. SWYPE
Swype is a quicker way for you express the love or hatred (or BOTH) for your girlfriend. The format of swyping yours words is second only to the keyboard, as stated by the developers. I use it on a daily basis and it is probably the one of the best app around as it makes an already simple task further simpler.
2. Advanced Task Killer
Lets be serious guys and gyals, we as humans (animals) have the tendency to want more whether we need them or not, so we have lots of apps on our phones. The task killer just clears up the apps that take up our precious memory including itself. Simple, no more explanations.
3. Dataviz Documents To Go
DTG will let you view, edit and create Microsoft Office documents and view PDF files. You also get a full suite of formatting tools and a word counter. Its Microsoft Office on your Mobile Device...Simple. It works just great. It takes a bit getting used to as even though the options are available it will be while before you can use it with the same ease as on your PC/ Laptop.
4. Beeb Player
It is the BBC iPlayer on your Android Machine. There might be other apps which offer the same service but none as easily as the Beeb Player. I spend many nights catching up on my comedies from BBC. Not even BBC could make one as good as the Beeb Player (Hint Hint)
5. ASTRO File Manager
Makes your phone feel like a computer, and makes you feel like you're in charge of it. You can use it to install APK onto your phone as it also acts as an app installer. It opens up your phone to give you more of a view of where things are so you could browse for that file you downloaded but just have forgotten to install it..
6. Extended Controls
This app builds on the existing controls feature. It gives you more options which you would want to have in the home screen. The app/widget can be customised according to your preference. Just pretty!!
7. Beautiful Widgets
Beautiful Widgets is a set of widgets that run on the mobile Android platform. It comes with skin able clocks where developers submit their own themes. Choose modes/ themes according to your mood. Now with Live Animated Weather..nice!!
8. Angry Birds (Game)
"The survival of the Angry Birds is at stake. Dish out revenge on the green pigs who stole the Birds’ eggs. Use the unique destructive powers of the Angry Birds to lay waste to the pigs’ fortified castles."
How can these words not get you into your castle storming mood and just throw chickens at pigs (crazy i know)...the game should be called Crazy Birds, well that's just me...
9. Twitter for Android
There might be a few more Twitter apps but i just prefer the originals. Spend a lot of time running my business through twitter. Among my many famous conquests on Twitter are Lisa Ann (The Pornstar) Tiya Sircar (Vampire Diaries) Conan O'Brien...
Follow me on twitter ajconsultant
This is my first thread and I hope to better my skills in future threads.
Peace guys and gyals and keep safe.
The offcial Android exclusives market app is here. Stay up to date with the latest new exclusive games and apps you can't find anywhere else (a little braggin lol). All games , apps , and wallpapers are freeware , no paid items. As an example of the cool stuff you find on the store here is a run game features Super Mario and its really fun.
Any feedback on the app will be helpful. Its been tested on the latest phones resolutions and 3.2 and up OS. I know the marketplace is smaller than most but I didn't want to add a bunch of filler apps just apps that people would find useful. The marketplace will be updated with a new batch of fresh apps soon.
Thats the Super Mario Bros Coin Rush for Android.
