Gday all i was wondering if there is a program that allows you to change between themes without actually uninstalling one and then reinstalling another?
This would be awsome if it were true.

First, slide your sense tab to the right (the Setting tab)..on the lower right u'll see the menu option...click >> all setting >> click. Then u'll see the setting screen, choose Today. Then u'll see option of installed theme. Just click whichever theme u like.
Thank you very much for that, although i cant see the Fallout theme and the Buuf theme in that list though.

Personally I don't think this appz works...cause when I go into setting and memory ....my appz is still open...and yes I have mark the x to close the appz in HTC setting.
x-button is working fine, its not enoguh to install it though, next step is to TURN close option ON in menu start/settings tab system end of list......
but if you need nice alternative...
switch 1.25 is neat app, imo, icon can be set anywhere on taskbar , nad remembers its position with portrait/landscape independently..

yes I do have enable x button to end running programs if that's what you mean.
the only thing it doesnt work for is activesync-for some reason it will still show as running from all my experiences.

Ok i have a sprint diamond upgraded to new sprint rom and i just hate the little lines with the arrow that pulls down to show you to close programs or the wrench.
HOW the heck do you get ride of it?
before the update i downloaded Twosen taskbar and got ride of it but since i upgraded to the new updated rom its back even though i loaded a custom taskbar.

Just go to settings -> task manager -> button and then uncheck the last checkbox.
What is the problem with this feature? I don't see the point actually...

Aah NICE I was just browsing around, kinda like this as well, nice and old school
This is probably one of the best apps I have seen in a long time!
1. Get it on the market
2. Set as default home
3. Set the home you were using before in settings
4. Double tap home anywhere and see a mini homescreen!
It's VERY similar to Apple's overlay feature on Macs (middle button) which lets you put widgets and access them at any time.
Try it out!

^some pictures and a little more info
YES! Exactly what I need when I walk outside and bam the sunlight hits the screen, press home twice to access the power control widget and turn the brightness up, never even leaving the app I was in! I love Faruq Rasid's work, first the HelixLaunchers and now QuickDesk!
This is pretty slick.
Nice job!

Same here! It's perfect!
I've used this since it was in Alpha.\ and I absolutely love it! Everyone should use this.
If you didn't set it up properly, it says you can clear defaults in your Android applications settings if the popup doesn't appear.
Where exactly is that. I don't want to end up clearing the wrong stuff.
Manage apps in settings menu, choose app, and then choose clear defaults.
Sweet app....very useful as I need Lamppu while under a desk while using pinout so thanks!

It's not a one-size-fits-all kind of thing.

It doesn't actually say, but if you see it in the Marketplace it most likely will work with your device.
Wow this is actually really useful! Thans for letting us know about this apk
Sent from my Droid Incredible
I don't know if this is just me... because I haven't seen anyone else complain.
It looks like a very nice concept, but my phone would lag all over the place when I used this app. When I would select applications some would be unresponsive and when I would select from a list, the highlight would flicker... Did I do something wrong? Should I just try reinstalling it?
**edit... I tried reinstalling it... I encountered the same problem again. But then I messed with some of the settings and it worked fine. Great app!
If you guys are not too sure on how to setup QuickDesk on your phone, here a guide for you, http://droidbar.net/2010/09/quickdesk-setup-guide/
Unlike the Vibrant, the Captivate only came with one system font. Is there any way to grab these from the Vibrant??
I really don't want to install a Market app just to be able to change the fonts.
it uses all the same fonts, not sure what fonts your are talking about.

When I go into the Display settings there is a selection to change the font. There are two choices. Default and Download Fonts.
My friends Vibrant came with 5 or 6 fonts pre-installed. AT&T chose to remove them.
Those are the fonts I am talking about.
Flashing with the Stock Galaxy S I9000 on Captivate I have additional fonts...
OK, just found them... I was looking in the wrong place. Checked it out on my friends Vibrant, there are 3 additional fonts. Ill post them up soon.
here ya go;
http://www.mediafire.com/?1ynw3r1lsh6qb6k
extract and install all 3 apks, then you will have all three fonts available
Thanks!!
.............
thanks x2.
Thanks, appreciate it.
I installed the apks, and I see them under the font menu ... I selected one (jazz) and rebooted, but I saw no difference in fonts anywhere.
What is this supposed to impact?

After installing apk's
Goto Settings > Sound & Display > Fonts
Select font from there.
On a similar note, has anyone pulled any of the 3rd party apps from i9000? They have a nav app, and Vlingo i think. The nav app looks a lot more polished then google's.

Right, I did that and selected Jazz. I see them in the menu. It then told me to reboot to see the changes. I rebooted and I see no change. I checked the Font menu again, and it showed me using Jazz.
Worked great for me! Thanks!!
Same as other said installed and switched font restart phone and looks same as before. Not.working here either
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
I did the SRE mod from the development page and had the font changed for a while. I took the battery out so I could get at the SIM card so I could activate a jailbroken IPhone through ITunes, and haven't been able to get the font working again since I booted back up. Tried switching to a different font, and tried switching to the system font and back. Tried rebooting and shutting down and restarting but I can't seem to get it to change the fonts anymore. I really liked the font change a lot. Any suggestions on how I can reload the fonts?
Edit, nevermind... just tried it again for the hell of it and it's working fine now. Go figure!
thank you so much!!!!!!!
I've been using these for a few hours and love it so much. It makes the whole phone so much better! Thanx again!!!!

Well, for a more stock Android look, I use an app called "Goodlock" which themes the quick settings list.

Well, that's the problem. You must be an employee of Samsung to have that program. Which means that without a custom rom, it is not possible.
PS: they are Korean
