I was wondering if someone knows how to re-do the TI-89 calculator from here:
http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/309/30978.html
and reskin it to work better on the HD2. Right now it does not use the full screen. Just a thought. Useful for those are taking math classes.
I have the same issue, I love to use the one used on the desktop version which is identical to a original TI-89 for my TI Emulator mobile.
Anyone out there have a optimized skin for newer phones?
I would also like to have a nice emulator for WinMo...
try googling this:
SpaceTime 4.0
its free and really really good, the interface is much like the TI graphical series but it has like a tonne of other stuff if u want to dig deeper.
enjoy

Hi Guys,
On this site you can now download Syntrax for free: http://www.finished.nl
How do I know this? I created the program myself
Should work on all ancient and modern PocketPC's (except the weird square screen ones)
Enjoy!
Reinier
Excellent.
Does it come with sample sounds, or do you need to provide the sounds for the sequencer?
Hi,
No sampled sounds allmost (It would add to the size too much)... but a lot of preset synthetic sounds.
But sampled sounds are possible, so there's no stopping you from importing them!

Will it work on the samsung sc3 processor.
euh...
if it's compatible with arm then it will undoubtedly work.
I used to have sh3 and mips versions of the software. If needed I can upload them, although I'm unsure if it will be the latest version.
Sh3 was really slow by the way... I can remember not many audio channels were possible on my ancient hp jornada. The oldest Ipaq however already was more than quick enough.

I'm using a touch diamond and finished.nl is telling me this is not compatible, is this true?
nice one, I got this before when I used to have a P910i
you have to register to handango to DL
Syntrax 2 Pro?
Hi there Reinier,
Glad to be able to chat to the syntrax developer.
I would like to know if you have any plans to update this application making it easier to use and perhaps moving away from basic analogue emulation or at least expanding the pallette?
I had it on my previous phone (tytn 2) and couldn't really get much out of it despite following the tutorials. I suppose i'm used to my pc programs and a full screen though i'm sure there's things you can do that work better for the much smaller phone screen.
I am not a developer/programmer myself but would be more than happy to come up with some suggestions and ideas for you to work on.
Of course time is money, so you should really think about making it a purchasable item should you wish to put the necessary effort in.
Look forward to hearing what you think in regards to this.
Simon Jarvis.
It runs portrait though. It would have been nice to be able to run it in landscape.
is it ok with the touch diamond? I got the incompatibility message from Handango too!
This looks AMAZING though & I really want to be able to run it !!!!!!!!!
Hi!
Does somebody knows about an instand massager for PPC Devices which uses the xfire protocol?
dude i would love this, but so far all i have found is a a java based app called openfire which can be found through xfires wiki page, but it uses a .bat to run. the makers of that app also distrubite some .jnlp version whatever that is. and there is xfireplus.com which uses a java applet and a new window, you could use minimo web browser for the new window bit, that is if you can find some way to get java running on your ppc. i have a dell x50v running wm and believe me java is a pain. what do you have for a ppc?
apparently there is a j9 thing that ibm has but you have to do some fancy work to get it and sift through a heap of crap and possibly compile and then add some library's. if any one find anything or can build something i would be ever so grateful. its just annoying to have to tote a laptop to talk with your buds bc they only run xfire. happy hunting to everyone to find something on this topic.

Please follow my previous articles - I've devoted several articles & tutorials to running Java applets.
In a word,
1. you'll need the CrEme JVM if you want to stick to IEM on Pocket PC's (not NOT on Smartphones. On Smartphones, it's only NetFront that will work when it's released.)
2. if other browsers are OK, Thunderhawk and NetFront 3.3 also has Java support. See my articles for more info on how it's different from that of the CrEme + IEM combo.
Edited my last post.
sorry, i had looked all over the net for running java on a ppc and never came across anything that worked for me, so i gave up. are you posts on this xda site as well? and i did come across CrEme JVM and installed it, but dosent it need some type of library?, thats what i was able to gather from their site. if you dont mind could you pm me a link to your other posts.
I noticed that in this forum almost nobody uses PointUI Home2, while SpbMobile Shell 3 is one of the most used interface in here.
I tried the free version of pointui and it seems really good to me, and also more customizable than spb, i might be wrong but i don't understand this big preference for spb...
...can you explain that?
maybe it's still new ?
I use it on my x1 as a panel think it got potential with
a ok sdk and nice well made plug-ins
I agree... i think it is super great and has lots of potential. I currently use it over SPB and TouchFlo. I like the fact that it is open to development through its applets feature.
Also Spb MS 3 is quite new, but just to look "in our house" there are lot of themes & customization...
I found quite strange that an interface flexible as PointUI Home 2 is not so diffuse here...
...it give us the possibility to create "what we want" with applets, we have a 360 degrees cuctomization.
To me, Home2 is just boring compared to the previous release. It just doesn't appeal to me, and I wouldn't use half the features.
I agree that lots of features are useless, but this is a characteristic of every interface...
...is che carrousel useful??
Those features are implemented just to please our eyes, and utility is marginal.
PS: I've never used the old Pointui, so i cannot make a comparison with new one
Hello guys, i'm studying in Automation Department of Greek university and we've got a lot of maths and physics. So i'm searching for a scientific calculator.
Which one do you use and why?
1) 1-Calc
2) HiCalc
3) SpaceTime
4) Other! Which one?
Calc98
http://www.calculator.org/download.html
Its quite old but works well and is free.
I'm still getting used to it, and to be honest, I don't use it often, but this TI-89 emulator works pretty well for me. It has quite a bit of functionality, but it's not the most user friendly. Unfortunately, it's also QVGA only to my knowledge. You can get the ROM for it here, but download the one for the TI-89, not the TI-89 Titanium. Hope that helps you,
Dave
How about SMath Studio (http://smathstudio.com/)? Free and updated recently.
...and by good, I mean not the awful paid version of that famous studio that we have for now. It's slow, buggy and awfully expensive for what it is.
My girlfriend used to play on her WinMo6.5 HTC TOuch2 a great freeware game called "PocketUno". Fast, simple but classy looking and filled with options. Everything that we can't have on Android...
So my question is : what are my alternatives ?
I already considered developing an app for her but it would be my first and I doubt I can achieve that in a week-end !
Is there a way to find a Java version (paid or not) that would fit the Magic's resolution (480*320) and its touch interface ?
Could a port from the PocketUno .cab file be possible in any way (it would remain a private port though as I didn't ask the original developer permission to do anything more than that) ? I doubt it but who knows (like in "Uno's"...hem, sorry).
Thanks in advance !
So it looks like I'm going to have to do it myself...
