I have searched for a ringtone creator program and everything that I see says that Ringdroid is the best free one out there but the issue I have with that app is that it only reads from my SD card. As I have an incredible I have all my MP3's stored on my phone's 8 gig internal storage as I do not have a large SD card so I am looking for a good ringtone creator that will see my internal storage on my phone. Anyone know of any good one?
The incredible has a ringtone creator built in. When listening to a song in the stock music app hit menu, set as ringtone and it will give you an option to trim it.

Oh great I did not even know this. Thanks.
Just make sure that you don't force close your people app or the phone won't remember your ring tone.

I'm trying to play some WMA files on my microSD card, but I can't add those folders to PowerAMP. Any way around this, or any other apps that can?
I don't use it , but I just tried PowerAMP Trail and no I could not see /Removable either. You should email the developer and let him know. It was the same thing with a "fresh" install of Quickpic 1.1.3. I emailed him and in less then 4 hours he had a fix
Guys,
I contacted PowerAmp through the built-in feature and got reply within less than 24h. They sent me a new build of the app (380) and the Removable/MicroSD is now supported. However, I asked them again to add the Removable/SD directory for people who want to use the dock SD card.
I'll let you know if I can post the link to the apk or if they will make it an official update.
Max from PowerAMP is still working on including all removable media (/MicroSD and /SD) and will have an update in the market shortly. Apparently he does not want the beta build to leak so we all have to be patient!

I'm not sure if he updated it on the market yet. He sent me (and others) a version to try. The version number was the same,1.1.3. I see videos and pix on my /Removable with the version he sent me. All my vidz are .mp4's if that makes any difference.
I'll test the one on the market when I get home.
No He didn't updated it on the market yet. 1.1.2 did let you pick /Removable. 1.1.2 was a little difficult (for me) to find. I found it in rom on here some place.
EDIT: I don't know if you want too, but 1.1.2 was inside this rom "pinpongs-rom1.3.zip" and the installer name was "com.alensw.PicFolder-1.apk". I tend to do things the hard way lolol.
Got word from the PowerAMP dev this morning that he will post the update in the market today. However, to complicate things, I sent him info about the mounts when both USB ports have devices attached and both card slots are occupied as well All they need to do really is to add /Removable and sub-directories to the selectable media.

Quickpic 1.1.5 was just released.
I stopped using poweramp for this reason, I have just installed it again as I am a Full version user, and I can confirm that its working with microsd card support. The only thing I'm now disappointed with is the notification. When you use the built built music player you see that there is music playing, you click and then you are given buttons skip prev and pause/play.
i think im gonna email the developer and see if he can do that.

He already knows. Yesterday I sent him the mount info with everything connected (both USB ports, microSD and SD card). All they need to do is add the /data/Removable directory to the selection He's working on it!
Can someone please tell me how there getting PowerAmp to access the Removal SD Card. I want to move my music files off the SD Card but the Removal card is not found in the availabe folder paths.

Are you talking about the SD card on the dock or the microSD in the tablet?

To start I would like to use the music folders on the SD Card on the tablet. But knowing how to also use any attached storage on the keyboard which I do have would be appreciated.

I was able get mine to work using Partition Tool Kit and choosing SDCard0 as the mount point not extSDCard.
I'm at a loss. We have the internal 16 or 32gb ...mostly taken up by apps and data and pictures etc... Then we have the removable mico (whatever size) on the side of our beloved tf's ...then the dock. Has the capability of holding a full sd card. Well that is the one I have all my MP3's onto, bc the mico inside the tf was almost at max. But I can't seem to find a music player that will read off of the Dock's storage.
Does any one know of an app that could/does? I'm pretty sure I've tried the vast majority before posting this, but still ...I'm totally up for suggestions. Thanks in advance..
Have you ever tried PowerAMP? I contacted the dev months ago and he replied within 24 h and made changes. It's def. worth buying!

I think hive player does, no guarentees but it was updated with 'transformer support' so i would assume it does now. Its built for tablets. The developer is a friendly person so im sure hell either add support or let you know if it does.
Poweramp as said above does have that support. I personly hate its layout on tablets so i dont ue it. Its an excellent player however, i just think it needs a better tablet interface

Have yet to try hive, and poweramp didnt a while ago but haven't tried recently. Will give those both a shot. Thank you.
Have you tried mixzing? That should work just fine.
So I tried the PowerAMP trial, and whatdya know ...i was able to access the the SD card directory, not just the micro. So that was exciting. But then, I decided to try Hive Lite, no go. I emailed the dev, who swifty responded within an hour. He said that the lite version has the same scanning abilities as the paid, and that I should try a "media refresh" app. So I tried a bunch, and no go. And atm, am trying out Mixzing. It seems I'm able to access the folder, and play the song, but they will not show up on the main "artists, albums" etc ...ah well, time to fork up the cash flow for PowerAMP. Thanks everyone for your help/suggestions. cheers.
I suggest rebooting. Sounds stupid, but it works for me usually. I've had that problem on both the tablet and a phone.
well, thankfully there is that 14day trial period for PowerAMP. Because if I put a decent amount of songs on a playlist, as soon as I scroll down on the playlist...fc. tried fixing permissions, no go. ugh, maybe someday some decent app will do this ha
Brand new to the skyrocket, I have tried both CM9 and AOKP and have issues with external storage. My gallery pull all my pics from the external perfect so i know the o/s is seeing it. When i use astro file search nothing shows up on my external, and when i go to play music through my blutooth, google music wont play anything and jetaudio plays but cuts in and out. Is this a common issue everyone, and is there a fix for it?
Both my internal and external work fine on aosp roms. Are you saying you can't find the internal SD?
Sent from my SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
My internal works fine.Google music recognizes music on my external but says it can't access
the files to play them.jetaudio will play them but cuts in and out.
If I open astro file manager and choose external SD nothing shows up
Have you tried fixing permissions? I always try that when something isn't quite right.
Sent from my GT-P7510 using xda premium
Fixed permissions, rebooted, opened astro file manager,
Clicked on external SD,it says directory empty. I also noticed jetaudio is only recognizing
A portion of my music. I don't get it. I would normally think its a bad install,
But I do a complete wipe everytime and it does the same thing with Cm9
Are you selecting external SD from within the emmc folder? That will show as empty. To see the contents go up one level in the directory and select SDCard. That is external and emmc is internal on AOSP Roms.

Thank you,that worked,sometimes I am an idiot.lol. now if I can figure
Out why google music wont play any of my music, everything would be
Perfect.
I had the same problem, drove me to the brink of insanity, lol. I flashed another rom and decided it wasn't good so I flashed back and somehow everything worked. Not sure how but it worked.

Glad that was it. I believe there is some instructions for deleting the media db files in the CM9 thread in order to force a rescan. Try searching "media db" in there.
Thanks are great, thanks button is better

Solved-thanks for everyone's help, this is what I had to do to fix the music issue.
Uninstall music apps, use root explorer do to data/data/android.com.provider.media,delete database folder, boot into recovery, delete cache, reboot, reinstall music app
I wanted to move the offline music storage to my 16gb class 10 microsd card I've inserted, as I have quite a lot of music I save for offline to conserve data usage while out biking. Is there any way to do this? I already saw slim chances while the internet is filled with complaints of no move to sd for apps with my phone.

Cant move the app. Not sure about spotify but the stock music app and google music see my music on external card. Just make a folder labeled Music on sd card and move into that folder. Phone will scan both internal and external for media. From what I see would have to move music from Spotify to music folder and use a different player.

Ask on the spotify forums. I've made this request multiple times to them but I think it might help me if more people requested the feature.
I agree with you. ROM flashing would be infinitely easier if I didn't have to consider my spotify playlists. With no 4g and no WiFi, downloading my extisive playlists is a royal pain in the ass. If I could store the offline music on an SD card... well... easy peasy.
I've experimented with copying the DRM protected folder before a system wipe, then moving that folder back after with limited success but its still a pain in my ass.

Can't help with DMR protected music. Have 25gb bootleg on mine.
Could you make use of the symlink mod to achieve this? I know you can symlink the apps folder onto the sdcard, seems like it would work for this too
I've emailed Spotify the question.
*Their response is that their forums are "littered" with this request and it probably will be added. My request has been forwarded appropriately.

Hi there, I have searched here and cannot find the answer. How can I get music to automatically save to my external sd card? Right now everything saves to my internal and I have to move it to my external. My pics save to sd card because there is a setting under camera.
I am running stock, unlocked BL and rooted
Thanks
Your post is rather vague since you don't say how you're downloading music in the first place. Are you referring to Google Music or something else? Anything you download from the internet is either downloaded to wherever you specify or only to your internal "Download" folder.

Sorry....I use an app called Gtunes music downloader from the play store.
I will look and see if I can play with the settings within the app.
