Aussi Telstra ROM for HD2 released - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

Hi guys
Not sure if this has been posted already but there is no thread I could find in searching.
http://www.htc.com/au/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=297&cat=2&dl_id=924
New ROM version: 1.72.841.0
Download size: 176MB
You will need to get your serial number from the back case to download.
Haven't tried it yet myself...but plan to soon enough.
Good luck and enjoy
Davej

This ROM "upgrade" was realesed months ago and as it turns out is just as bad as the last one only with the added crapness of a non removable SMS sent notifaction that will make you want to scratch your brains out.
If your tired of your current Telstra ROM then my advice is dont use this one, Flash to a cooked ROM that works with out the Telstra bloat.
I recomend OzROM as it was cooked by an aussy for the NextG network and is stable as a rock!

Guys this is wrong thread you have to post it here

Thanks GeeOff,
Have over-pimped my HD2 and was beginning to have issues. If I am going to flash something it might as well be a better ROM!!!

PDAmobiz update: Final Rom - Dopod 818 Pro WM5 AKU3.2 and 2.3

Because downloads are slow as hell at pdamobiz, I'll post this later on the xda-developers FTP.
If somebody could translate, it would be nice *waves to chan*
Update:
I've uploaded them onto the FTP site here.

Where I can download "clean" FINAL AKU3.2?
pdamobiz really do overfill what could be a good rom with junk.
is it all in the ext rom or built into the actual rom itself?
Omg.
Whay a nice rom.
Waiting for uploading on our ftp

In previous roms "Junk-soft" was build into ROM
please upload this rom, because looks incredible
still downloading....will up as soon as it's done and post the ftp link here
as already said, junk was in the ROM last time, I've contacted some people over the pdamobiz to have them release a clean version, if not, I will have a look to see what I can hack together
I'm downloading too. (over 40 hours already) 32 MB so far.

It's always up to you to upgrade your device with other people's ROM or not. If you feel it's full of junks, then just don't upgrade your device or just do it yourself.
hello,
are all the "junk-soft" in the extrom or in the ROM? is it possible to "debranded" the ROM whith making a soft reset after align the screnn? Will all this software (many unusefull for my using) don't install and we can choose afterwards what we want to install then?
sorry for my bad english.
John
Yeah, sorry Kuanchai (and I speak for many people...)
I'm currently using the RUU_Prophet_G3_2151327_AKU23_023021_P16MB_PDAMobiz_v2307 ROM that "is full of junk built into the ROM". I'm not complaining even though it is not 100% to my liking. I thank the people over at PDAMobiz for giving us this ROM and showing us the trick to CID unlock our devices.
I think in our zealousness to tinker constantly with our devices, we have become greedy Uncle SCROOGEs... always asking & asking and forgetting to say thanks.
And thank u Jesterz for notifying the rest of us. Let us have your review ok? Maybe some of our Thai friends can give a breakdown of the info on the site...?
Take it easy...

Hi guys!
Please be calm. First we should say THANKS for the effort, whatever our liking or not.
Then, we could suggest things to improuve. I myself might dislike many of the things included in someone's else cooked ROM, but suggesting to move them to another file and then allowing us to install them "one at a time" from, let's say, an SD card, is not a bitter complain.
BTW, as soon as an easy "ROM kitchen cooking" tool becomes available for Prophet I'm sure there will be no more complains in that matter....
Don't you?
Radio ROM?
does this 3.2 upgrade require a Radio ROM upgrade too?
I'm using Radio 2.30.21, not very happy at this time, since battery depletes at at astonishing rate and my prophet disconnects itself overnight. Are the different versions compatible with the new AKU?
Wich Radio versions are recomended?
Tanks!
Pfff that took long enough.
I've uploaded them onto the FTP site here.

Thanks, Putra and Looking Glass. Sorry if my previous post might be a little offending. I'm not in the PDAMobiz team but always respect them for their constant effort to make new ROMs for our use and never asked for anything. I also know that all of us here are also pleased to help each other without asking for any reward.
In fact, I also don't like some softwares in the PDAMobiz customized ROM but never complaint that those are junks. I agree that we could suggest things to improve and I think they are welcome any comments or suggestions. I think it would be great if our requests are more friendly. It might take time though to make a new ROM after our suggestions.
By the mean time, if you don't want to use any software in that ROM, just delete their shortcuts from /Windows/Start Menu/Programs. Their existence in your ROM doesn't make any harm to your device. If you have time to learn how to modify ROM image, then you could delete those softwares from the ROM and add any other things in. Then you will get your completely customized ROM.

These 2 new ROMs will downgrade your Radio ROM back to 2.19.21. You could, however, upgrade it back to whatever you like. The developer suggested version 2.20.21 because it's more stable and less battery drained:
http://files.pdamobiz.com/ROMs/XDA/Prophet/PDAMobiz_Prophet_G3_RadioRom_v2.20.21.exe
http://files.pdamobiz.com/ROMs/XDA/Prophet/PDAMobiz_Prophet_G4_RadioRom_v2.20.21.exe
Please be cautious if you want to upgrade to 3.2 ROM, from the forum, there are still some bugs:
1. The battery is not charged during the sync. You need the wall charge. Someone said soft resetting the device while charging will help.
2. MSN is still not working.
3. A few people said their device hung up when enter the camera.

Many thanks for info, will post my findings through the trial...
BTW just cancelled the endless download from the pdamobiz congested site.
;-)
BTW, can anyone confirm what pagepool size these 2 new ROMs use? I glanced the PDAMobiz site, but couldn't find any info.

Has anyone dumped the o2 Stellar rom yet ?

If not ill give it a go as id like to have something to fall back on if i dont like the cooked ones.

That;s true, but I believe the one from My XDA is german only.
I didn't dump my o2 stellar ROM before I converted to Dutty -- so if anyomne does I would be interested just in case I need a warranty return.
Thanks Guys!
Alex
O2 steller rom is boring, i had it for 2 hours then flash to dutty's rom.
dutty's is much better and faster
Yes Please flipside!!!!
Hey flipside. Big yes please from me!!!
I've had some *ahem* flashing problems with my XDA Stellar (see my thread here). Having an original O2 ROM to get back to would be fantastic!
I just got one of these beautys today... I am new to the whole flashing scene etc but I am following the tutorials on how to capture the rom
I'll keep you guys posted
Thanks,
Colin Jensen
I'm watching this thread with great anticipation
Anyone else out there have an XDA Stellar and the confidence to extract the ROM?
Don get what you guys are talking about? you want original ROMs?
the cooked ones I ahev tested incl quentins, most of duttys, alex's, jacks etc are lightyears ahead!
you dont know what forum you are on if you consider the original ROM to be a better alternative!
It's good to have the original ROM to flash back to e.g. for returns.
I have a particular interest in this ROM, since I think it will fix my Kaiser (which is an O2 XDA Stellar). See my thread here.
I dumped my Xda Stellar's ROM before I flashed it. (four .raw files yes?)
If you want a ROM from it, I'll make one if you give me instructions Not looked into making my own ROM's at all, so a simple step by step will do!
Sorry all ive been side tracked by house renovations so havent done much past dumping it, i have bugged the myxda guys a few times and was told that they may release teh release rom this month if i get a mo ill go through the steps to remake this into a rom as i too woudl like to play with new roms with teh option to return back if i need to warrenty replace
OK I have the RAW files I dont really know what to do with them but if somebody could make them into a working rom so I could flash back with them I would love you all forever... as I am not really 100% confident in making a rom out of the files
I will upload the other 2 parts to a webserver as they are huge in size
http://rapidshare.com/files/84274366/Part02.zip.html
http://rapidshare.com/files/84276672/Part03.zip
Good work mate! I think the instructions you're looking for now are in this thread.
This seems good place to post this question to stella owners...
Who has upgraded the radio?
To what version?
Does it simlock the phone to O2 (i have tmob sim in currently)
Thanks
Ben

ROM Recomendation

I have been reading different threads here for about a week and was going to try and flash a new ROM to my Tilt this weekend. I was hoping that someone could recommend a ROM for a beginner. Specifically one known to be stable on the AT&T Tilt... I appreciate the feedback and will be happy to donate to the originator of the ROM file... Looking forward to something new!
I was considering "Dutty's NewBuild Rom N0.6 +NETCF 3.5 AT&T"

This has been discussed a lot, and there are a lots of threads like this.
However, you really should give Q-Mobile 1.11 a try.
It's clean, fast and stable! I tried a lot of ROMs (CUSTEL, Dutty) but IMO this one is just the best.

I have an AT&T Tilt and have been using Dutty New Year Dual Touch V2 with radio 1.27.12.32 for 3 days and like it a lot. If you follow the instuctions correctly it is a snap. I got my tilt on Dec 26 and I found out about flashing on the 2nd and I flashed 3 or 4 other ROMS before sticking with Dutty V2.
If you are thinking about going with one of Dutty's ROMs I would wait a day or so to get V3 (currently in Beta).

Tilt rom advice please

Hi guys, I have an HTC Diamond running Mighty Mike's 3.7 custom rom. My friend has an AT&T Tilt, and I would like to help her get a custom rom running. Since I don't own the device, I can't do any testing.
I was wondering if one of you Kaiser gurus might be able to recommend a solid custom rom for the Tilt so that I might be able to help her out.
Thanks a bunch for any advice you can give me.
Not to promote u starting a new thread for no reason....but ive been using hyperdragon without a problem or try IBI V8

If you only want a solid experience I recommend the official WM6.1 rom update. It is what I use after countless flashes from almost all chefs.

Dude I use Solace v2 (not the RC Series its not ready yet), Its the fastest and most stable 2d rom I've ever flashed. And I flash very new rom that is posted but seem to go right back to old faithful Solace v2. Its not flashy but it works with no issues I've put everything on it. I hope this helps.

[Q] Help with the HTC Arrive - The Tangled Path To Custom ROMs

Hey all, I'm new here, but I've been lurking for a few days in all boards relating to WP7.8, etc.
I really do hesitate when I make this thread, because I know a lot of other people have already asked how to do this,
HOWEVER! I can't seem to pull together all of the information I need- the trail seems to go cold after a while,
I have an HTC Arrive (Gold C) on Sprint, With Mango & SPL 4.3
What I am trying to do is get to a point where I can install a 7.8 custom ROM, or simply, I'm trying to get HSPL (which, if I'm correct, requires me to downgrade to NoDo?)
After reading, it looks like the solution to my problem is to use Ansar's NoDo RUU for the Arrive, then, use the Dark Forces Team HSPL Loader to load HSPL onto my Arrive, and then finally, install a ROM like leadpoizon's Custom 7.8 ROM.
I'm pretty tech savvy, but as far as mobile devices go, the hardest thing I've ever had to do was jailbreak a few iPods, and install CFWs on PSPs.
I will openly admit, just putting this information together has been a confusing painus in the anus for me.
My problem is thus - I haven't been able to do any of this because Ansar's NoDo RUU (and, as it would seem, the rest of his RapidShare files) are all down because his bandwidth on RS ran out.
Does anybody have a copy of the NoDo RUU for the Arrive that they'd be willing to upload?
I'd be suuuper appreciative...
Thanks for your time and patience with my utter-noobliness.
I'll be sure to make a proper introductory post later, but I've got work and I'm out of time.

Hello and welcome.
Click the link in the first post of this thread and it is the 4th down, Gold C Sprint WWE 1.25 RELEASE
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1427907
Don't forget to delete the RUU_signed file before downgrading!
Also, you must install RSPL, then HSPL, then the custom ROM. I am using the LEAD rom and its working great!
Good luck

Thanks so much, for the welcome and for your help!
That's exactly what I've been looking for, I never checked out that link because the thread was titled with Gold, not Arrive, GoldC, etc...
I hope this thread helps someone like me out!
EDIT:
Where does the RUU installer place all of the files? o.o
Nevermind, got it! Everything works great on leadpoizon's ROM, aside from the HTC Hub tile, which I didn't care for to start with.
Thanks again.

HTC Arrive
I, too, am having the same problem as the original poster. Except now, the link to the thread we are being sent to is now not working. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Does this process also work for the HTC Pro7 T7576? This is the GSM version of the device where the Arrive is the CDMA one.
